Whirlpool - 36 in. Wide 25.1 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator - White WRS315SNHW

This side-by-side model has a total capacity of 25 cubic feet. Reviewers consistently praise the spacious layout, noting that it offers ample room for organization with good visibility of items on both the refrigerator and freezer sides. The side-by-side design makes everything easy to reach and arrange compared to older top-freezer models.

No, this model does not include an ice maker or water dispenser. Many reviewers specifically chose this model for that reason, as it maximizes usable storage space and eliminates the need for water line installation or maintenance of ice-maker components. The unit comes with ice trays for manual ice production.

Most reviewers report that the compressor produces noticeable noise when running. Several owners describe it as loud or as a constant low-frequency hum, though a few note it is acceptable for a garage or secondary location. If quiet operation is important for a main kitchen location, this is a consideration to keep in mind.

The unit comes with three glass shelves in the refrigerator section, though it is designed to accommodate four shelves. Some reviewers have purchased an additional shelf separately to maximize storage flexibility and spacing options.

Most reviewers report that the unit keeps food properly cold and frozen when set correctly. However, some owners note difficulty finding the right temperature setting—on higher settings the refrigerator section may freeze items, while on lower settings the freezer may not freeze adequately. It typically takes 24–30+ hours after initial setup to reach full cooling capacity.

Several reviewers note that the stainless steel finish shows fingerprints easily and can be difficult to clean without streaking. Some owners report that despite being marketed as fingerprint-resistant, the finish does not live up to that claim and requires frequent wiping to maintain appearance.

Many reviewers report positive experiences with Whirlpool durability, citing previous models that lasted 16–26 years. However, a small number of owners have experienced early failures—including freezer malfunction within 6–8 months and one case of refrigerant loss within the first year. Most buyers express confidence in the brand's reputation, though some note that build quality may not match older Whirlpool models.
