Price Index issue archive

The permanent record of every monthly issue of the Appliance Price Index. Each issue is a monthly release, computed from the same catalog and price data as the live index, so the figures in an archived issue are identical to what the index page shows — they never diverge. Issues are listed as each monthly release is published; none are back-dated or invented.

Earlier issues

Archive grows monthly

This is the inaugural issue of the Appliance Price Index, so there are no earlier issues yet. As each new monthly release is computed, it will be added here and this issue will move down the list. Rather than back-fill the archive with issues that were never published, the record starts from the first release and grows forward — every entry corresponds to a release that actually exists.

How each issue is published

Same numbers, every time
One release, one issue
A monthly issue is a single release of the index, keyed to its target month. Each release is computed once from the Fridge.com catalog and price history and then published as that month’s issue.
Figures never diverge
Every figure in an issue is read from the same source that powers the live index page and its CSV. An issue is a snapshot of that release — not a re-typed copy — so an archived reading always matches the index page exactly.
Thresholds disclosed
A category is published in an issue only when it clears at least 30 matched models. Categories below that threshold are disclosed and counted, never shown as index figures.

Fridge.com Appliance Price Index — issue archive

This page is the archive of monthly issues of the Fridge.com Appliance Price Index, a matched-model price index for refrigerators and freezers computed by Fridge.com from its own product catalog and NEW-condition retail price history. Each issue is one monthly release of the index. Its figures are identical to those on the live index page at https://fridge.com/data/price-index and never diverge, because both read the same computed release data.

1 issue is published. The latest issue is June 2026, with 16 categories published (a category is published only when it clears at least 30 matched models) and 2 disclosed below the threshold. The base month is May 2024, set to 100, and this issue was computed in July 2026 under methodology v1.0.

Earlier issues are not back-filled: the archive starts from the first release and grows forward as each new monthly release is published, so every entry corresponds to a release that actually exists. The full current release is available as tables at https://fridge.com/data/price-index, as a CSV at https://fridge.com/data/price-index/csv, and its methodology at https://fridge.com/data/methodology.
