Gathering the reviews
We continuously collect owner reviews and public discussions from major retailers and community forums, de-duplicate them, and set aside anything we can’t tie to a verified purchase.
Calculating the average
Averaged across every source we found (Amazon, AJ Madison, and other retailers). Each source counts in proportion to how many ratings it has, so a store with thousands of reviews moves the number more than one with only a handful.

What owners talk about most
“This is a really nice side-by-side. The design is sleek and neat and does exactly what it’s supposed to do. The factory settings are perfect so I really don’t need to do anything. But if I do, they have made everything simple. I’m glad I made this decision and I highly recommend it.”

This model has 26 cubic feet of total capacity with a side-by-side layout. Reviewers consistently praise the spacious interior, noting it holds significantly more than expected and offers excellent organization with flexible shelving, multiple drawers for produce and dairy, and ample door storage on both the refrigerator and freezer sides.
Multiple reviewers who switched from French door refrigerators report that the side-by-side layout makes it easier to see and organize all contents without digging through deep drawers. The freezer compartment is more accessible and visible, and the design prevents food from getting lost in pull-out bins. Reviewers also appreciate that the freezer space is more organized and easier to manage.
This model features an internal water dispenser located inside the refrigerator door rather than on the exterior. Reviewers strongly prefer this design, citing benefits like a cleaner appearance, reduced mess, and added safety for households with children who cannot accidentally activate it. Some note the water dispenser is convenient and well-filtered.
The ice maker produces small, diamond-shaped ice cubes that fit easily into drinks. Most reviewers report it makes plenty of ice and keeps up with household demand without freezing up. A few note the cubes are smaller than expected or that the ice maker is slower than desired, but overall performance is praised as reliable and effective.
Most reviewers describe the unit as quiet and unobtrusive during normal operation. However, a few owners report that it runs constantly or makes loud noises, suggesting there may be some variability in noise levels between units or that certain operational patterns differ from other brands.
The temperature control buttons are located on the side of the refrigerator door and are easily accessible—some reviewers note they accidentally change settings by touching this area. Additionally, there is a cold air vent along the top shelf down the middle of the refrigerator; items placed directly in front of this vent may freeze, so avoid storing liquids there.
Most reviewers are satisfied with the build quality and modern design. However, a few owners have reported concerns: one experienced a freezer fan failure within three months, another noted that shelves and drawers feel cheaply made, and some worry about long-term durability compared to older appliances. Most units appear to be performing well so far, though some reviewers note it is still early to fully assess longevity.
One reviewer noted that the refrigerator required removing the front door from its hinges to fit through the house during installation. It is recommended to measure doorways and hallways carefully before delivery and to plan for potential disassembly of doors if needed.

What Owners Say
299 ratings
After having a french door refrigerator for 10 years by another company then Frigidaire we decided to go back to a side-by-side. Well there probably is slightly less refrigerator space we love the design. I love the freezer space that I can see everything and it's organized…
Absolutely love my new appliances.
Just got this and is super awesome , love the controls on the side of the door Genius Idea. Looks amazing and operates just as well. Love this….
This is a nice looking appliance with good interior lighting, easy gliding baskets and super icemaker! Water dispenser shoots water freely so be careful not to bump it. Overall I like this product very much!
I am amazed how quiet this fridge is and how good it looks in my kitchen. The water dispenser inside the door is a clever design choice too.

Brand Background
Frigidaire Gallery represents the mid-tier offering from Frigidaire, a brand operating under the Electrolux corporate umbrella with headquarters in Charlotte, North Carolina. Positioned between the entry-level Frigidaire line and the premium Frigidaire Professional series, Gallery models deliver enhanced features and refined aesthetics aimed at homeowners seeking an upgrade without venturing into luxury pricing. The Fridge.com catalog currently tracks 14 active Frigidaire Gallery products spanning multiple configurations, with French door models comprising the largest segment at five units, followed by four standard refrigerators and three top-freezer designs. The lineup also includes a standalone freezer and a side-by-side option, demonstrating reasonable variety within the mainstream tier. Among the most frequently monitored models is the GRFS287DAF French door refrigerator, which has accumulated substantial tracking data through Fridge.com. The brand appeals to shoppers who want modern conveniences like smudge-proof stainless steel finishes, flexible storage solutions, and improved temperature management systems without the premium associated with higher-end Electrolux offerings. For consumers navigating the crowded mid-range refrigerator market, Frigidaire Gallery provides a familiar name backed by established manufacturing and distribution networks.
