Maytag 36 Inch Freestanding Refrigerator MRFF4236RZ

This French-door refrigerator has a total capacity of 25.2 cubic feet with flexible shelf configurations. Reviewers consistently praise the spacious interior, noting ample room for organizing groceries, plenty of shelf space in both the refrigerator and freezer sections, and a convenient extra drawer. The design allows for better organization compared to side-by-side models.

The water dispenser is located inside the refrigerator rather than on the exterior door, which reviewers appreciate for its convenience and cleaner appearance. Most owners report it works well and produces cold drinking water, though a few have noted occasional dripping after use. This internal placement is one of the most frequently praised design features.

The ice maker is located in the top freezer corner and produces ice quickly, with most reviewers reporting it works well and generates plenty of ice for household use. A few owners with very high ice consumption note it may not keep up with demand, and a small number experienced initial defects requiring replacement. Overall, performance is strong for typical household needs.

Noise levels vary by unit. Some owners report the refrigerator runs very quietly, while others note it is noticeably loud—particularly when the ice maker fills with water or the compressor cycles. A few reviewers mention it is louder than their previous refrigerators. If quiet operation is important to you, this is worth considering based on individual unit variation.

This refrigerator measures 35.8 inches wide, 70.1 inches tall, and 35.5 inches deep. Multiple reviewers confirm it fits well in standard kitchen spaces, and many note the French-door design is easier to navigate than side-by-side models, especially in tight kitchen layouts. Verify your available space against these dimensions before purchase.

Reviewers specifically praise this model for having an excellent warranty—described as the best refrigerator warranty they found. One owner noted they were particularly glad to find a French-door model with strong warranty protection. For specific warranty terms and coverage details, consult the product documentation or manufacturer information.

Most owners are satisfied, but a few have reported issues including water dispenser malfunctions (stopping after a few weeks or dripping), door alignment problems, and minor defects like disconnected door lights or loose deli drawer covers. These appear to be isolated incidents rather than widespread patterns. The warranty coverage should address defects that arise early.

Yes, this Maytag refrigerator is made in America, which is a point of pride for several owners who specifically chose it for that reason. This domestic manufacturing is highlighted as a key selling point for buyers who prioritize American-made appliances.
