Had this fridge for over two weeks and we love it. It has plenty of great space and looks great in the kitchen with all of our other new Maytag appliances.

Nice refrigerator with minor issues

This refrigerator generally works well but there is a vertical offset between the left and right doors which is a minor but annoying problem . We had a different brand refrigerator for 13 years (which had a multitude of other problems ) but the doors were aligned properly. The other issue is the deli tray cover is held in place by plastic pins on each side of the tray. The cover pops off regularly because the pins are not long enough.

We bought our new Maytag about 3 weeks ago. So far it’s been great. The only thing we’ve noticed is it runs louder than our LG. It’s sounds like our dishwasher is on. We also would like more flexibility placing the shelves.

Freezer divider question

I am only on my second week of ownership but so far it’s been just about perfect. I studied many brands and read many people’s comments to land on this Make/model. Another popular brand (Frigidaires) had way too many complaints about noise which scared me off. This model hasn’t made so much as a peep since it’s been in my kitchen and it refrigerates fantastically.

Overall, I love this refrigerator. It fits our space. French doors make it really easy to get big items in and out (like pizza), especially compared to our old side-by-side. The simplicity of the freezer and ice maker work for us. QC does need to be better. The first batch of ice contained a screw (I'll add a photo if I can). I assume this was dropped into the ice maker during assembly. Hopefully there won't be further issues. There are dividers available for the pantry drawer (another picture). These were not included, and quite difficult to find. I had to find the pantry drawer part number, then find another fridge that included the same pantry drawer and the dividers. All of this at third party websites. It would be great if Maytag included these with the fried, or at least included a list of accessories.

Beautiful refrigerator. I do have two minor issues, the icemaker takes several days to fill up and the front door doesn’t shut tight so if you don’t give it that extra nudge to seal it, or else it will build up condensation.

Just received a few weeks ago in a replacement for a whirlpool they could not get a servicer to show up. I like the upgrades on this as compared to the whirlpool. It has a door alarm. I wish the bottom was a double door like the counter depth one. It is so hard to organize a freezer. The delivery guys were awesome. They felt all I went through waiting from May to September without a refrigerator that they would give a warranty like I purchased for my whirlpool. I lost so much food and spent so much on ice. The whirlpool wasn’t even 3 years old

Let me start off by saying I waited to write my review because I wanted to make sure I covered every aspect before giving my thoughts. This fridge is amazing compared to the previous one I had from another VERY BIG popular brand (I won't say the name). I love how compact the fridge is, yet it is still so spacious and holds a ton. Everything has stayed fresh and cooled. I am more than happy with my product and definitely see myself purchasing more appliances from Maytag.The fridge's design is sleek and modern, fitting perfectly in my kitchen without taking up too much space. The shelves and compartments are well-designed, making it easy to organize food and beverages. I appreciate the temperature control features, which ensure that my produce stays fresh for longer periods. The freezer is also surprisingly roomy, with ample space for all my frozen goods.In conclusion, this Maytag fridge has exceeded my expectations in every way. It's stylish, efficient, and incredibly functional. I highly recommend it to anyone in the market for a new refrigerator. I'm thrilled to have received this refrigerator! When I saw it, I fell in love with its spacious capacity. The containers are perfectly distributed, allowing for organized food storage. I appreciate the adjustable internal compartments, which can be adapted to fit items of various sizes. Additionally, the humidity control feature prevents the windows from fogging up inside. The large freezer produces ice, and the internal water dispenser is a convenient bonus. I'm also a fan of the three-door design, which adds a touch of sophistication to my new kitchen. WHAT AN AMAZING OPPORTUNITY I received this product in exhcange of my opinion I have been using this fridge for a couple of weeks, its spacious,the shelves are the perfect fit, I love the freezer at the bottom (I am new to this? the ice maker works perfectly, the temperature control its very easy to understand, and keeps the food at the perfect temperature, I have plenty of room for all of my food and the stainless steel is so pretty, I dont use the water dispenser a ton just bc I have alkaline water that I like to drink but it was still easy to install😀

A lot of room

I'm loving my fridge. The design is contemporary and the handles make it look expensive and the outside is extremely easy to clean. I love the fact that the ice maker is in the freezer because it gives me more space on the fridge and I can scoop out the ice. Love the feature of the fast cooling because it makes my food cool down faster and get to the proper temperature. It saves me so much energy because it's very efficient. The ice tray takes about a day to fill up but if I need it faster it has a feature that you can turn on so it makes ice faster, and I have to say that the tray is big, so it holds quite a bit of it. The shelves are adjustable so you can move them how you want them and give you the room you want. I like that the water dispenser is inside because the water is colder and it helps with the look of the fridge but it's a little harder for my kids to get water by themselves. I love the size of it and so far there is nothing wrong with it.

Wow! I’m loving the new fridge. It’s huge yet sleek, modern, and a perfect fit in my home. I’m enjoying the smart and hidden water dispenser. It doesn’t add any additional bulk or take up any space. It’s whisper quiet unless it’s making ice. Love the filtered ice and max ice feature! The snack drawer is so convenient and there is so much space now I doubt I’d ever not have enough room in my fridge.

I have a family of 5 and a large refrigerator is a must. I love the inside water dispenser, the ability to control how much ice it produces, and how deep it is. The only drawback is the size of the freezer. It’s extremely small, but we have a standing freezer in our garage so no problem

I love my new wide French door refrigerator. The design is amazing and I can fit a lot of grocery there. I love it because it also has a water dispenser. hidden inside it is perfect because I have small kids and they are not able to press on the water dispenser and make a mess so that is a plus for me that it is fingerprint, free stainless steel and my favorite is the ice maker. It dispenses a lot of ice so I don’t run out of ice. We use the ice throughout the day and by the morning we have enough ice for the day. I love it. I love that now. I am able to go to the grocery store without having to think if it fits in my refrigerator or not this is a very, very very spacious refrigerator. Amazing. I love that. It is energy efficiency, and that I am able to control the temperatures inside, the refrigerator and freezer I really recommend this if you are looking for a spacious refrigerator. It is beautiful and will look great on your kitchen.

Oh boy. This is by far the best fridge I've had! It's huge! So it holds alot! Water spout inside so it's away from curious kids! Freeze capacity us awesome! Fridge was super cold within a few hours of plugging it in. Had to wait a day for it to start making ice but other than that, this is so perfect!

I really like this fridge! I love that it has an ice maker on the bottom freezer drawer that doesn’t take too much space and is easy to reach. I love the stainless steel front! It looks very sleep and modern! It cools auickly with a max cool feature and also has a humidity feature that tells you when to use it! My only wish is that the water dispenser were built differently because when i use it, it does drop after use and could cause water problems. So i don’t tend to use it. Otherwise this is a fantastic fridge! Love it!

This fridge can fit EVERYTHING! With adjustable shelves, fruit and veggie drawers, a large drawer at the base of the fridge and tons of in door storage there is ample storage for food, drinks and condiments. With adjustable temperature controls that quickly adjust this is a great energy efficient refrigerator. The freezer has large drawers that make it easy to store and find foods as well. The ice maker quickly produces ice, with a tray large enough that you don’t have to worry about running out of ice at any time. The water dispenser is easy to access inside the fridge and fills cups very fast. Best of all, I love that I don’t have to worry about my toddlers finger prints showing up on the stainless steel front! This is a beautiful fridge that makes organizing my family’s food easy.

We’ve had this refrigerator for a couple of weeks and I love it! There is a lot of shelf space and I love that both doors have a shelf that will hold gallon jugs. The main reason we purchased the refrigerator is because the freezer has wire shelves, not plastic. It has a good amount of storage and the icemaker produces ice quickly. It runs quietly and is exactly what I wanted. This fridge was a great purchase, I highly recommend!!

Good Buy

When it runs it is loud I can here from the other side of the house. But as far as the room it has on the top refrigerator its great. But fro the price can bet it! and like that the water is out of the way and ice make is up in the top corner in the freezer. One thing I wish it had was a third drawer with a handle so you can get to cold beverages without having to open the French doors

The fridge is made well. Happy with the size. Not sure I like the drawer freezer after having a French door with two freezers that had more room. But I'll make it work. That's the only thing I don't like about it overall. I didn't have the water hooked up for the ice maker and it cycles through making a lot of noise like it wants to make ice. That's a bit annoying.

I have only had the refrigerator one week. It took less than 4 hours to reach the temp needed to keep my food cold and frozen. The ice maker made it's first batch within that time period. Love everything about this refrigerator.

Great fridge, just surprisingly loud

I have really enjoyed this fridge so far (several months). It's working well, hasn't leaked at all, and the water tastes so good from it. It is pretty loud while it's filling the icemaker back up with water or running the motor to cool everything (which I knew would be the case from other reviews, but I underestimated just HOW loud the fridge would be). I was surprised by how loud it could actually be! But that's really my only complaint, and it is something we've gotten used to. I really like the humidity button, an interesting feature I'd never thought about before — when condensation builds up in a certain spot, you push the button and it fixes it! Great for a really humid place like where I live. Overall, I love it. I neeeeeevvvver want to go back to a side-by-side! French door fridges are so worth the hype.

I like the look of the refrigerator and it’s easy to use. However, it does have a louder than expected compressor, at least louder than any other refrigerator I’ve had. I also think the right door doesn’t seem to close tightly like the left side. In fact when you open left side the right will jar loose.

So far I like my refrigerator. The only complaint I have so far since it hasn’t been even a month is the sliding drawer inside. The lid has come off a couple times when I opened it. I hope this will not be a problem in the future. The ice maker works great, could use a bigger container for ice to drop in but it does work well. I bought the extended warranty just in case anything goes crazy.

We had to make a little more room for it since it was a bottom open freezer versus a double-sided refrigerator freezer that we replaced it with. There are several features that we like about it, including the internal water dispenser, The ice cubes at the bottom instead of taking a real taking up real estate in the refrigerator., we like the controls, And the high temperature alarm has come in handy. After having a top freezer refrigerator for almost 16 years, Being tall, i felt it was time for a double door bottom freezer fridge. i am happy not having to bend over every time i needed something from the refrigerator shelves. I love the look as well as the convenience of opening the double doors and seeing everything at a comfortable level. Besides looking modern, the unit is very quiet, keeps everything at a nice cool temperature and fits right into the space perfectly. I am also happy with the setup and delivery from the appliance store i purchased it from.

I bought this French door refrigerator in April 2025. I like the interior water dispenser but recommend to keep the cup in place a few seconds after dispensing the water to avoid any residual water droplets from falling in the refrigerator. The clear acrylic window on the deli drawer is very fragile. I recommend pulling the drawer carefully to place item in and not lifting the drawer’s lid to open the drawer. I also recommend not placing any items on top of the drawer’s lid to prevent it from cracking or breaking. The fruits and vegetables drawers don’t push or pull too easily as they don’t have rails or wheels. The friction from the acrylic drawer against the plastic walls create the need for more strength to pull and push the drawers. The adjustable glass trays and adjustable door gallon bins are a very nice and convenient features. The freezer wire racks are small and don’t hold too much. The space on the top wire rack is even smaller since it shares the available space with the ice tray. If the freezer racks are filled with heavy items, more strength will be required to open the freezer’s door. It is not a smooth pull to open the heavy door. The ice capture has an open design. I wish there would have been a cover on the ice capture tray and an interior automatic ice dispenser instead to prevent the ice from crossing contamination. Manually scooping out ice from the freezer’s tray posses opportunities for food contamination. Instead of wire freezer racks, I wish solid plastic trays were in place to prevent items from falling through. Overall, it’s a good refrigerator for the price.

We selected this refrigerator to replace our failed LG refrigerator, which was 12 years old, and was left open for a few weeks while we were away. The features we like in this Maytag are the large capacity, the clean looking exterior, and the energy efficiency. Fresh water inside the fridge is a plus. The freezer section has worked well so far, including the ice maker. The handles are easy to grab to open doors, and all surfaces are easy to wipe down and clean.

I bought this a month ago and so far it has satisfied all of my needs in a refrigerator. The inside water dispenser does have a tendency to drip several times after being used, but so does every fridge water dispenser so it doesn't bother me too much. I wanted an inside water dispenser so I will have to deal with it. The refrigerator can be a touch loud when filling the ice maker, but it is not extremely annoying and only lasts for around 30 seconds. The running noise is quiet enough that I never notice it. Overall, I'm extremely happy with my purchase and have found no major glaring issues with the refrigerator.

This is a very nice refrigerator. Ample refrigerator space with adjustable glass shelves. The deli drawer that spans the entire width of the frig is great. The freezer is a little small but sufficient. The ice maker works well. The filtered water spout inside the frig filters the water nearly as well as my Brita Water Pitcher. We are happy by n with that feature. If I could change something about this frig I would make it a little quieter. It's operation is slightly louder than my previous model.

Nice Replacement for 17 Year Old Amana

Replaced a similar 17 year old Amana. It was made by the same parent company and features are very similar. The new refrigerator is stainless steel finish rather than white like our old refrigerator. The new refrigerator shows the freezer and refrigerator temperatures in degrees Fahrenheit instead of just showing numbers 1 through 7. The door shelves are clear plastic molded design which, at first appeared cheaper, but looks like they will be easier to clean because they don’t have the rubber liners that used to get gunky. The ice maker has an on/off switch instead of being dependent upon the metal bar serving as a turn off switch, which I found out after the tray overfilled with ice. The older Amanda did not have the water filter or the inside water dispenser. The inside water dispenser takes a little getting used to, but it is a lot better in the long run than the through the door ice/water dispenser that take up refrigerator space and have so many possibilities for breaking. NOTE: The old Amana was still going strong after 17 years so we were looking for a replacement in the Maytag/Amana/Whirlpool family.All our appliances are now either Whirlpool or Maytag.

Freezer door does not close smoothly; it shimmies at times when closing. There is styrofoam showing behind the vegetable/fruit drawer - why is it not covered with plastic?

Refrigerator was easy to set up and went to temperature within a few hours. My favorite feature is the digital temperature display as soon as you open the doors. Not only the refrigerator but the freezer temperature too. I like the large capacity of shelving and the freezer seems to have more capacity than my previous whirlpool. This is a beautiful refrigerator and I also love the fingerprint resistant stainless. It really stays pristine. This is my dream fridge. I'd always wanted a French door fridge and this one comes with so many thoughtful features.

Great Refrigerator!

We have only had this fridge for a couple weeks, but so far it we love both the styling and function. We are especially happy with the ice maker in the freezer. Our previous fridge (different brand) dispensed ice from the freezer door, and that ice maker never worked properly. The ice would bond into large chunks that it couldn’t dispense, and we’d have to empty all the ice and start over. Not so with our new Maytag. It’s also quiet, and we like the temperature and humidity controls.

We’ve had the refrigerator for a week but so far really like it. I looked for a frig with split adjustable shelves and this one has them. The doors hold a lot of stuff and the bottom shelves on the doors are very deep. I like the water dispenser inside the door and the water is nice and cold. The ice is perfect and so far seems to replenish fast.

No longer am I taking a hairdryer to the freezer to thaw the ice jam in the ice maker every week. No longer are there mineral deposits in the door tray. I am very happy with this new refrigerator. It keeps food cold, I love the food designated areas for refrigerator for fruits and vegetables and dairy section and frozen good section, therefore easy to organize. The ice-maker using the button as opposed to the arm is very helpful and the ice makes good size ice for glasses or in my water bottle. I enjoy having cold water readily accessible and ready to use

So far, so good! Great, in fact. I had been about to purchase a counter-depth refrigerator from another brand when I saw this one on display at my local appliance store. The amount of refrigerator space compared with the counter-depth option was unbelievable. I no longer have to use an extra refrigerator in my garage, because everything fits in this one, with room to spare! I especially love the full-width deli drawer (in my old side-by-side fridge, the deli drawer was tiny). Runs quietly, and the internal water dispenser means no more nasty mold buildup like my old water-in-the-door fridge had. I'm really happy with the choice and hope the refrigerator continues to work well for my family. I'm going to be replacing my range pretty soon and may take a look at Maytag options to match the fridge.

Appreciate the amount and access to the refrigerator space. The deli drawer is spacious but don't open the lid since it will fall off and you will Have to figure how to get it on again. Not a clever design. The freezer is spacious below the top drawer. Since the top drawer is the frequent user shelf, make it come out with the freezer drawer, then the user can push it back to access the bottom. Otherwise it is a fight to find and pull out the drawer, which also contains the much used ice drawer hidden in the back corner.

I've only had my new refrigerator a couple of weeks so far, but I'm really pleased with it. My previous frig was also a Maytag, but was one with a top freezer. It was 12 years old and still working perfectly, so I have no doubt this new one will last many years. I love that everything is at eye level in the refrigerator section, which is such a plus for me, and the slide out bins in the freezer bring all me frozen items well into view. I wanted a refrigerator that above all felt comfortable to use, didn't require me to be tech savvy, and checked all the boxes about my needs...this one does it all.

We love our new refrigerator. It has the freezer on the bottom which is spacious. The French on the top doors are great too. Lots of room and easy to see things inside. One small issue… the left French door takes a little extra effort to close, otherwise the section which flips out and closes the gap between the two doors hangs up a little. Everyone in the house is having to learn to give it a little extra push or the door doesn’t fully close. But when someone forgets, the refrigerator beeps after awhile to remind us the door isn’t fully closed.

The icemaker is appropriately compact. Problem is if it is on to make ice, with the lever dropped, and you pull out the top tray not remembering the lever is dropped, you could break it. With a bottom freezer where you can't see the tray at eye level, that is easily possible.

I received this item for free in exchange for my honest opinion, i received and started using this refrigerator a month ago so i was able to give the best opinion possible, this is a very nice looking appliance, it looks very slick and shiny so it elevate the look of my kitchen, its a 36 inches capacity that for me is the perfect size for a large family like mine, I noticed a little bit of a difference in the amount on energy used in the house compared with the times we where using my old refrigerator, its a very quiet refrigerator, except when the ice maker is working that is very loud, i love that the water dispenser is inside so my kids doesn’t splash all the doors, it definitely get stained and get fingerprint marks too, i give it a 3 stars because it keep getting frozen even with the temperature getting adjusted by the manual that means eggs, fruit and vegetables tossed because they where rock hard, good appliance with some flaws.

I recently welcomed the Maytag 36-inch wide French door bottom mount refrigerator into my home, and it’s been a chill experience, with a few drips of concern. The fridge boasts a spacious interior where I can store my culinary experiments and midnight snacks with ease. The max cool setting is like having a personal winter wonderland at my fingertips—minus the snow, of course. And let’s talk about that sleek, modern exterior; it’s the kitchen equivalent of a black tie outfit, always looking dapper. But, not all is frozen perfection. Shortly after its grand entrance, the interior water dispenser developed a thirst for freedom, dripping away like a melting icicle. I’ve since appointed a paper towel or cup as its nightly chalice, a humble fix to a noble problem. Occasionally, my little ones unleash a mini tidal wave upon opening the fridge, turning my kitchen floor into a slip 'n slide. Peeking behind the drawers revealed a surprise guest—exposed Styrofoam, giving off a “just moved in” vibe that clashes with the otherwise upscale ambiance. A little plastic cover-up would’ve been much appreciated. In spite of these quirks, the fridge is overall great. It’s like that one friend who’s great to have around but has a few endearing flaws. Disappointed in changes

I am disappointed in the lack of features in this refrigerator. I owned the same Maytag refrigerator in an older model that included pull out shelves and one crank adjustable shelf, a divider in the deli drawer and also in the bottom freezer bin. The new one has none of these features, I was able to use the dividers from my old refrigerator but unfortunately the shelf brackets have changed so I cannot swap out the shelves. I guess to keep profits high some features had to go.

Be Aware of This Style of Fridge

This new fridge needed to have the fan replaced as it sounded like a plane landing every time we opened the refrigerator doors and closed them. Very frustrating to have a new appliance already having issues and needing repair. Since the new fan has been installed the fridge works fine and as a new fridge should. Using the water spout inside the left door is frustrating as you need one hand to press the button and the other to hold a cup to get water. It would have been more user friendly to have a lever to push the cup against to dispense the water. Also, we're still getting used to having to pull the freezer door out to get to the ice.

Noisy...rattles. Seems that it is possibly defrosting very often. Will need to call for service as it is annoying. It is only a few months old. Plus when installed the doors were offset and they adjusted them but now the left one will not stay open while in the refrigerator. Would not buy again. Does keep the set temperatures.

Haven't had it long enough to really know. I don't like that you can't get a generic filter for it like other models of refrigerators. If I would have known that I probably would have bought a different one. I do like the 3rd drawer on it, it is big and wonderful. I still haven't figured out the best place for the shelves. Seems to run alot so it is noisy. Probably would have got a whirlpool because they are not noisy.

We bought this to replace a nearly identical 16-17 year old fridge. Unfortunately, the refrigerator is just not made with the same quality as the previous one. Everything feels cheaper and more "plastic." The freezer drawer is very poorly made - is has a gear track system that insures it pulls out straight, but the track isn't long enough, so the freezer drawer starts out crooked and then locks crooked every time. The deli drawer no longer comes with the divider, and the deli and veggie drawers don't slide smooth. On the positive side, the doors do close smoother, and the fridge is quieter than the previous model. It is a good value for the price, but I'd rather pay a couple hundred more and have a better made fridge.

I bought it because I like whirlpool appliances and the price was good. I don't like the freezer door drawer pulls the gears do not align well with the tracks.

Always wanted a Maytag

I bought this second weeks ago and the door was damaged and it still hasn't been replaced. It is a nice quiet running refrigerator however the light in the freezer keeps going on and off and the insides of the refrigerator are much cheaper made than the last one I had.

ok refrigerator

I like the outside of this refrigerator and the size of the inside. What I do not like is the freezer door is rickety when opening, the ice maker makes loud noises and the humidity build up on the doors and inside trim. There is a humidity button to push, which you state will use more energy and this has stopped the humidity. I never had an issue with humidity with my other refrigerators

I have had this fridge for 2 months and am surprised how noisy it is. The ice maker makes a great deal of noise. It works well but the freezer drawers and general interior seems cheap.

Uneven doors & Flat spots

Purchased this refrigerator and noticed a few manufacturer flaws. RH metal door has a couple flat spots. Returned refrigerator and replacement has same flat spots in same area. Replacement also has uneven doors left door sits tenth of an inch higher than right door. Disappointed with Maytag quality control.

Leaking filter

Had My water filter is leaking and drips all over the top shelf started pretty much on day 1. It did stop for a while and started leaking again. Replacing the filter soon so I hope that helps. If not I will be calling for warranty.

Not what I expected

A loud "click" when the compressor begins. 5-10 minutes of continuous/quiet "chatter" every few hours I was told Maytag was built in Iowa, USA, but after reading the tag I learned my purchase was built in Mexico.

Noisy, Loud, Annoying

I regret buying this unit. It is the loudest refrigerator I have ever been around. It has been leveled. It works as a refrigerator but I can hear it at the opposite end of the house.

Not impressed

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) This fridge is so noisy, constantly making humming / rattling noises and I am not talking about the ice maker. That is another noise all together. Really not impressed at all. It also likes to freeze things even when it is at the recommended temperature settings. On a positive the icemaker works great as does the water dispenser. Just don't put lettuce anywhere but the crisper and we all know clam shell lettuce containers will not fit.

Poorly made in USA Maytag and Whirlpool

I bought this end of August already needing serviced produce drawers won’t stay shut even with leveling and ice in back of refrigerator. I just had same issues with whirlpool that was purchased in. 2018 and service guy came once and whirlpool nor myself could reach them. So much for made in USA.

2 1/2 months old and freezer not working - all food defrosted today and fridge temp is climbing. Have to call tomorrow to see how long it will take someone to come and look at it. I didn't expect to get a lemon from Maytag.

Poor design when styrofoam is openly used
