Gathering the reviews
We continuously collect owner reviews and public discussions from major retailers and community forums, de-duplicate them, and set aside anything we can’t tie to a verified purchase.

“I needed to upgrade my refrigerator and wanted to do so with the best. I was not disappointed. I have had the refrigerator for 3 weeks and it has met my expectations. I am a bit concerned about the pull out drawer, it seems as thought it may not hold up to normal usage and the water dispenser it pretty slow.”
Owners Answer
The questions shoppers ask, answered from real owner reviews and discussions across the web — not the manufacturer spec sheet. See the spec FAQ below for the official numbers.
How much storage space does this refrigerator offer?Based on 12 owner mentions
This French-door model has a total capacity of 27 cubic feet, with a spacious refrigerator section and a large bottom freezer drawer. Reviewers consistently praise the ample room for groceries and frozen items, with many noting they were surprised by how much they could fit compared to their previous models.
Can you dispense ice and water at the same time?Based on 5 owner mentions
Yes. Multiple reviewers highlight that you can dispense both ice and water simultaneously by pushing a button, which they describe as a convenient feature. The ice maker stores approximately 3.5 pounds of ice in the reservoir.
What are the dimensions of this refrigerator?Based on 2 owner mentions
This model measures 36 inches wide, 69 inches tall, and 34 inches deep. These dimensions make it suitable for standard kitchen openings, though you should verify fit in your space before purchase.
How quiet is this refrigerator during operation?Based on 2 owner mentions
Reviewers report that this model runs quietly during normal operation. One owner who replaced a GE model noted it is quieter than their previous refrigerator, and another mentioned being surprised by how quiet it is after three weeks of use.
Are there any common issues with the shelves or interior drawers?Based on 5 owner mentions
Some reviewers have reported concerns about shelf design and durability. A few owners noted that the side pieces and bars on shelves reduce usable space, and others mentioned that the full-length pull-out drawer feels flimsy and requires careful handling. One long-term owner reported that plastic door trays and the pull-out tray cover broke over time, with replacement parts being expensive.
Have there been any recurring issues with the ice maker or water dispenser?Based on 3 owner mentions
While most reviewers praise the ice and water features, a few have reported problems. One owner experienced persistent ice maker issues requiring multiple repairs, and another noted that water drips from the dispenser, leaving stains and puddles. Some also mention the ice occasionally freezes into clumps due to water dripping into the compartment.
Are the interior LED lights reliable?Based on 1 owner mention
One reviewer reported a recurring issue with LED interior lights failing every 3–4 months, requiring multiple replacements at significant cost. However, this issue is not widely mentioned across other reviews, so it may not be a universal problem.
How does this model compare to other brands?Based on 3 owner mentions
Reviewers who switched from other brands—particularly GE and Whirlpool—report being satisfied with the Maytag. Several note that it is better built, more reliable, and has better features than their previous models. One owner with 30 years of repair experience recommended Maytag for reliability.

Brand Background
About Maytag
Maytag has built its reputation on dependability since 1893, making it one of the oldest continuously operating appliance brands in the United States. Now a subsidiary of Whirlpool Corporation and headquartered in Benton Harbor, Michigan, the brand continues to emphasize durability and straightforward functionality across its refrigerator lineup. Fridge.com currently tracks 22 active Maytag refrigerator and freezer products, with the catalog spanning several configurations to suit different household needs. French-door and side-by-side models each account for seven units in the tracked inventory, while top-freezer refrigerators represent five models, appealing to buyers who prefer traditional layouts at accessible price points. The selection also includes standalone refrigerator units and a chest freezer option. Popular tracked models include the MRSC6636RZ side-by-side and the MRT311FFFH top-freezer, both of which have been monitored consistently over time. As a mainstream-tier brand, Maytag positions itself for consumers seeking reliable performance without venturing into premium pricing territory, maintaining the practical, no-nonsense approach that has defined the brand for over a century.
