Maytag 36- in. Wide French Door Refrigerator W/ Powercold Feature, 25 cu. ft. in Black-On-Black MFI2570FEB

This model provides 24.7 cubic feet of total capacity with a spacious layout that reviewers consistently praise. The French-door design with a bottom freezer drawer offers plenty of room for fresh food, frozen items, and beverages, with adjustable shelves that can be configured to accommodate taller containers and various storage needs.

This model measures 36 inches wide, 69 inches tall, and 34 inches deep. These dimensions make it a standard French-door refrigerator that fits most kitchen openings, though you should verify your available space before purchase, particularly if you have cabinet constraints.

The ice maker and water dispenser are located on the refrigerator door with separate switches for each function. Multiple reviewers note that the ice maker takes up considerable space in the fridge section, which can reduce room for tall items and large containers; some owners have had to remove shelves or reposition them to accommodate gallon jugs and pitchers.

Several reviewers report that the ice maker produces noticeable noise when filling or dispensing, with some describing it as loud or rowdy. However, other owners find it acceptable or note that it runs quietly overall, suggesting the noise level may vary or be tolerable depending on individual sensitivity and placement in the kitchen.

Reviewers consistently praise the fingerprint-resistant stainless steel finish, which is easy to keep clean and maintains a new appearance. The shelves are simple to remove and install for cleaning, and the overall interior design is user-friendly for organization and maintenance.

Most reviewers report that the refrigerator maintains proper temperatures for both fresh and frozen food. The thermostat is noted as functional, and the unit comes with a 10-year compressor warranty, reflecting confidence in its cooling performance.

This refrigerator uses approximately 685 kilowatt-hours per year, which is typical for a French-door model of this size and capacity.

A few reviewers mention that the left door may require a firm push to close securely, and one owner noted the door may not close properly if the left side is closed first. This appears to be an occasional issue rather than a widespread problem, but it is worth checking during installation.

Most reviewers appreciate the convenience of the door-mounted ice and water dispenser with separate switches. However, some note that the water flow can be slow, and the ice dispenser can be sensitive—requiring careful handling to avoid ice spilling onto the floor when the glass is removed.
