GE 36 in. 23.3 cu. ft. Smart Counter-Depth Fingerprint Resistant 4-Door French-Door Refrigerator With Door In Door PJD23BYWFS

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior despite the counter-depth design. Many reviewers report being pleasantly surprised by the storage capacity and flexibility to rearrange shelves for large items. The 23.3 cubic feet capacity provides ample room for families and those who entertain frequently, with well-designed compartments that maximize usable space.

Most owners report that this model operates very quietly. Multiple reviewers specifically highlight the quiet operation as a standout feature, noting it allows for convenient access without disturbing others. A few reviewers mention occasional noise from the ice maker or when door alarms sound, but the overall consensus is that it is significantly quieter than their previous refrigerators.

The internal filtered water pitcher with auto-refill is one of the most praised features. Owners love the convenience of having cold filtered water readily available without opening the main refrigerator, and many note it refills quickly after use. However, a small number of reviewers report that the pitcher occasionally leaks during refilling, and one owner noted the auto-fill function can be slow or fail to shut off properly.

Owners find both features highly practical and convenient. The door-in-door design allows quick access to frequently used items like milk without opening the main refrigerator, and reviewers note it helps save energy. The middle temperature-controlled drawer is praised for storing drinks, meats, and other items at the ideal temperature, and many appreciate how it frees up space in the main compartments.

Owners consistently praise the interior lighting, particularly the LED backlit wall and lighted shelves. Reviewers report that the lighting makes it easy to see and find items, and many describe it as a beautiful design feature that enhances the overall appearance of the refrigerator.

While the majority of owners report satisfaction, a recurring pattern of quality issues appears in a small number of reviews. Some owners report problems with door alignment or closure, soft-close door mechanisms failing on arrival, and issues with internal components like flex drawer ball bearings. A few reviewers also mention the refrigerator being very loud during operation, which contradicts the majority experience. Most quality issues appear to be isolated incidents, but potential buyers should be aware of these concerns.

Most owners report that the ice maker works well and produces plenty of ice. However, a few reviewers note that the ice maker can be slow to refill and may produce noise when ice drops. One owner mentioned that accessing the ice requires opening the freezer and manually pulling out the ice drawer rather than having it dispense directly.

Most owners report that the refrigerator fits well in counter-depth spaces and looks beautiful when installed. However, one reviewer noted that the interior depth is slightly less than expected compared to their previous counter-depth model, and another mentioned that the raised area at the top front may prevent it from fitting flush under standard cabinets. Measurements are 35.6 inches wide, 69.9 inches tall, and 29.3 inches deep.
