Excellent Appearance

The new Maytag refrigerator has been has here for approximately three weeks. It has been a pleasure to use. It has a convenient freeze a Drawer and convenient shelves and drawers in the fridge section. The controls are accessible and easy to use. It does seem to run a lot more than the old one. Once, I think I heard it slightly stutter when shutting off. Tthe lighting is excellent!

We bought the new fridge when our old one died. The unit we bought was the right size for the space and the right size for the number of people living in our house. We especially like the amount of ice that the fridge makes.

This was to replace the EXACT same ( older model ) fridge that ice maker started messing up and fridge was not maintaining cold enough temperature. We went with this model because we could swap out handles that matched the other appliances (Maytag ) in kitchen. I am seeing condensation on the freezer gasket though so that is concerning reason for the 4 stars. Hoping that is not an issue of the seal not sealing properly?

I needed to upgrade my refrigerator and wanted to do so with the best. I was not disappointed. I have had the refrigerator for 3 weeks and it has met my expectations. I am a bit concerned about the pull out drawer, it seems as thought it may not hold up to normal usage and the water dispenser it pretty slow.

I bought this refrigerator over a week ago and I am so thankful that I finally have a dependable appliance to keep my milk cold. Warm milk curls and tastes awful! I had a Samsung refrigerator for five years and had it repaired seven times. I cannot tell you how many times I went to get a nice cold glass of milk and had a bunch of curls fall into my glass. The lighting on this refrigerator is amazing and I love the compartments. I am so glad I went back to Maytag, I’ll never buy anything else again.

Its been 30 days and I am very pleased with my purchase. The ice is plentiful, the water dispenser fills a bottle very easily, the interior space is phenomenal, and it looks very nice in the kitchen.

I had an earlier version of this (at least 10 years if not 15). I loved it. Buying newer version bc the old one's motherboard died & I had to wait so long for my AHS warranty to send a guy out that the interior got black mold all over.

Good features, quality and warranty

We have had this a couple of weeks now. Just getting familiar with it features and learning where everything should go. So far everything is working really well, and we like the features. Love the pizza storage in the freezer and the push button ice and water work at the same time!!!! Every refrigerator makes unique noises, and this one is no different. It's very quiet during normal operation but occasionally you will hear some motors or actuators that at first alarmed us. I think this is because our last refrigerator died just after making these noises, but they go away after a few seconds and do not happen very often. Glad we got the extended warranty just in case though.

We bought this about a month ago and we are very happy with it, everything is working as advertised and zero problems to report. The ice maker works great, we’ve never come close to be even half empty as it stores around 3 1/2 lbs of ice in the reservoir. I also like the feature where you can control the refrigerator and freezer temperatures independently.

Solid Refrigerator

I have had this model since Spring of 2020 and has been reliable. The few items I want to provide feedback on are: 1. All three handles are constantly coming loose and they need to be tightened monthly. This is quite annoying and has been from day 2. Just a design flaw. 2. The water filters are expensive and need to be replaced frequently (subjective). 3. The full length drawer inside the fridge is really flimsy. Have to be mindful to be easy with it or it will break. Other than item 1, these items are probably consistent across most vendors but it is what it is. Maytag, please address these things with your engineers and QA teams. I will accept replacement handles (in return for my fair review) as payment. :)

Large space

I love the size of the refrigerator & the arrangement of the shelves. The lower drawer freezer is roomy & I am able to store most of my frozen items for everyday cooking easily. The downside is the ice freezes into a clump because water drips into the compartment. Also, the water dispenser in the door, drips & leaves water stains all over the dispense area & always has a puddle. I love the finish as it doesn't show fingerprints like some stainless appliances.

I can't recommend this refrigerator enough. The room is incredible for all your grocery needs, the lighting is impeccable which honestly enhances your choices to take out for dinner. I love the extra compartments, the slide out features,the ice maker and water dispenser but most of all the over all look. This is a must see.

Interior Light Issue

This is a great refrigerator except for one very annoying and persistent problem. The LED interior lights go partially dead about every 3-4 months. Originally after I first bought it the lights went out and it was under warranty so the repair was covered. However since that repair I have had to purchase 3 LED units and install them myself as the light issue continues to recur. The LEDs are not cheap either. And now once again the LED (it's usually the one in the freezer section) has gone bad. It affects many of the other LEDs in the refrigerator. I can't keep this up for the life of the unit. I really wish there was a remedy.

Lots of Space

I have had this refrigerator for a couple weeks now. I really am surprised by how much room there is in both refrigerator and freezer. Love the lighting throughout as well. I did have to call for service repair though after it was installed because the top plastic bin in the freezer was not rolling correctly. The plastic track system was out of place. But technician got it fixed and all seems to be working good now. Only complaint might be that the ice dispensing is kinda of messy; you need to hold the glass up to the very top otherwise the ice chips shoot out around the glass.

We love our Maytag! We had a GE that was supposed to be a top of the line model and had nothing but trouble with it from the beginning. We only bought it because it is the only local appliance store in town now. We went. Ack to our preferred brand, Maytag and won’t own any other brand. This refrigerator is built so much better with better features. The freezer unit doesn’t freeze shut and the drawers and pull outs work like they are supposed to. Makes life so much easier!❤️

We replaced all our old Maytag appliances with new ones when we remodeled our kitchen. I had a wide by side Maytag before, but I could never find anything in the freezer. So this time we went for the freezer drawer. I love it. I can see everything that is in my freezer. So therefore, I'm using it before it gets old. I love the meat & cheese drawer up top, and there is just so much room! I honestly cannot think of anything I dislike about this refrigerator!

The French door feature is great. It is easy to open up and be able to reach to the back. Also, the bottom freezer has several compartments so I can store frozen food by type. I have been able to adjust the temp to my liking to keep the milk a little colder. Was easy to do.

Replaced our 20 year old side by side refrigerator with this and am absolutely delighted. It has more usable space and the LED lighting inside is bright. The freezer has a lot of room and even a section in front to store a frozen pizza - alleviates the need to move the frozen pizza to access items underneath it or move lots of items to access the pizza.

I had my last refrig for 20 years so we were due for an upgrade. It is quiet, even the ice maker, and so roomy. It is easy to keep organized and visualize everything. I love finally having an ice maker and the freezer is quite large with dividers and pull out drawer so I don’t have to go digging! No complaints!!

After doing a lot of researching, I came upon this Maytag refrigerator in a store and it only had 2 reviews at the time, so I really took a chance. Glad I did. I love the look, fingerprint resistant, roomy and bright inside. I wasn't sure how the french door would work after having a side by side for 20+ years. It meets my expectations, love it.

We replaced our 3 year old refrigerator (the other brand) due to continuous problems that should not have occurred with a $3000 refrigerator. I did considerable research before ordering our new Maytag. It has exceeded everything we expected and is a joy to have in our kitchen. Love the ice maker. Best I have ever seen. Some of the features incorporated in the design are leaps ahead of the competition.

Had it for a couple weeks. It works, but it’s not great. Really behind in space usage, is had to dismantle the interior drawer thing which was heavy and ate up several cubic feet of space for no useful effect other than maybe thermal mass. It holds a lot more if you take the silly center drawer out. Also, the lack of depth in the interior is noticeable, with nowhere to put a 16” or 20” pizza box like my previous model with a bottom interior drawer. At least it makes crushed ice. Not a great purchase, but better than what the competition showed.

Solid refrigerator but ice machine stopped

Bought the refrigerator about 5 months ago it was going good until the ice maker stop working. We love the space and quality just a little disappointed the ice machine stop working. When this was working I was happy with the quality of the refrigerator being quiet and the ice machine wasn’t as loud. I will be calling this in when I get back from travel overall the refrigerator has been good with our needs. The only reason I’m giving the refrigerator 3 stars is because of the ice machine breaking within 5 months.

We had no choice, our original Maytag refrigerator just up and died, (some sort of sealed system leak - was told it can't be fixed). The only drawback, and it's a major one, is the ice-maker. When dispensing ice, this ice-maker sounds like a jack-hammer ! I would have selected a different brand or model if I new the ice-maker made so much noise. You can hear it from across the house and when someone is getting ice while others are sleeping, the noise from the ice-maker wakes them up! This is ridiculously loud ! A second issue, for me, is that the ice that comes out is half the size of our previous refrigerator. I would never buy this refrigerator again and will not recommend it to anyone else.

I bought this unit about a month ago, and I like everything but the shelves. They way the shelves are designed are horrible, there is a side piece and a bar that gets in the way of everything on EVERY shelf!! Not nearly as much usable space due to this design. The side bins are small, too. They will not swap it out, or offer me different shelves to eliminate the problem, so if you buy it, after 2 days you are stuck with it. Even then, you only get 2 days UNUSED, how the heck do you test something if you can't use it to test it? Using is voids being able to return it if you don't like it!!! BEWARE!!

Ever since we have bought our Maytag refrigerator, half of the lights inside went out and our Ice maker has been nothing but problems! We remolded our home and put all new Maytag in our upstairs kitchen and wished we never did! In less than 4 years have fixed the ice maker and had to replace a dishwasher. Maytag will not be the top of my list or suggestion to anyone to purchase.

Would not buy again Cheap shelves and drawers

I bought this 4 years ago and the cheap plastic parts broke on the door trays right off. Then a year or so later the top to the large pull-out tray broke. Now the hinge that held the tray s top on broke. I have no kids and I am not rough on my stuff, this is just cheap stuff until you try to buy replacements then $$$$$ For two door shelves and one cover for the slide out tray is almost 300 dollars, I will go buy a new non-Maytag 1st.

Love the Fridge but problems

I had this fridge installed about 8 months ago. So far the cooling coil for the refrigerator has completely iced over, so an issue with the evaporator. Now we have an electrical issue with the LED's. We were hoping to get 10 - 15 years out of this fridge, I'm now pretty worried about what is going to happen with it. I'm at the point where I would like to have a replacement fridge as I feel this one is a lemon.
