Maytag 28.7 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator 36-Inch Wide In Fingerprint Resistant Stainless Steel MRSF6636RZ

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior layout with ample room on both sides, the attractive Arctic Blue interior with bright LED lighting that makes contents easy to see, smooth-operating drawers, and the ability to adjust temperatures separately on each side. Many also highlight the quality stainless steel exterior finish, attractive design, and the 10-year warranty as standout features.

Most owners report the refrigerator runs very quietly during normal operation. However, several reviewers note that the ice maker is noticeably loud when dispensing ice, and one reviewer described the unit as extremely noisy while running. The noise level appears to vary, with quiet operation being the typical experience but ice-making cycles generating significant sound.

Yes, ice maker and dispenser problems are the most frequently reported concern across reviews. Issues include ice not dispensing despite being made, requiring manual intervention (shaking or poking) to dispense ice, ice dispensing at odd angles and falling on the floor, metal gears breaking, and complete dispenser failure. Some units required replacement or service calls. A few reviewers also note the ice maker is slower than expected, though others report it works well.

Owners consistently praise the bright LED lighting on both sides of the refrigerator, which illuminates the main compartments very well and makes it easy to see contents. However, several reviewers note that the vegetable/crisper drawers at the bottom lack lighting and are quite dark, making it difficult to see what is stored inside. The Arctic Blue interior, while attractive, can limit reflected light in the drawers.

Most reviewers who mention ice cubes express satisfaction with the small, square-shaped ice cubes, noting they look nice and keep drinks cold. A couple of owners would prefer larger cubes, but overall the cube size is viewed positively and is cited as a reason some chose this model.

Owners report mixed experiences with the water dispenser. Some note that water is chilled and works well. However, several reviewers mention that water pressure is low or slow, and one reviewer found the auto-fill feature limiting, as it only offers 8, 16, and 24-ounce increments without a 32-ounce or liter option. The dispenser paddles can also be hard to depress.

A few reviewers report that doors arrived misaligned or uneven from the factory. However, the unit includes an adjustment tool that allows owners to level the doors themselves, which most found straightforward to do. One reviewer noted doors do not open wide enough for easy removal of bins and shelving. Overall, minor alignment issues appear manageable with the included tool.

Most owners report that installation and setup are easy and seamless. Doors may need minor leveling adjustment, which takes just a few minutes with the included tool. One reviewer noted that delivery personnel left protective plastic film and tape on the unit that required removal, and the instruction manual can be confusing. Overall, the process is described as straightforward for most users.
