Very satisfied with new fridge. My wife loves it. She doesn’t see the grandkids finger prints. The ice maker takes up a lot of space which I’m not used to. I wish you could change the shape of ice cubes. I’m sick of the half moon shape after all these years. That’s a small issue though.

First off never get an LG! Maytag is the absolute best. This fridge works perfect and is smartly built. It’s elegant and the freezer and fridge get cool incredibly fast. Ice machine is super high quality and that’s a feature that is super important. Plenty of storage and integrated fruit and vegetable storage. Buy buy buy!

I bought this appliance about a month ago and it is working as expected. The ice system is not accurate when dropping the ice, it shoots it to the right. We have had to compensate for this. Other than that it is working fine.

Quiet, spacious and functional

I just received this appliance about 3 weeks ago and it seems to do the job well. All features including through the door water and ice work well. It is also very quiet but seems to run quite often even though my daytime temps here rarely exceed 78 degrees this time of year. I have noticed that temperature control is not very accurate and placed temperature gauges inside the unit. The temp varies from top shelf to bottom shelf, and in order to get 37-38 degrees in the center of the compartment, I have to set the refrigerator temp to 33 degrees. The freezer seems more accurate, probably because the compartment is much smaller. There is also a persistent and annoying line of water condensation beads that form on top of the freezer drawer along the entire top length of the drawer that sometimes collect and form a small puddle on the floor. Perhaps a better seal can be designed on the freezer drawer to prevent this. Other than that, so far, it seems to work well.

Just totally elated with our new fridge. We got home from vacation and our old fridge was OUT. Panic! Hooked up a trailer and took off to Menards and went through "all" their displays looking at overall "value" to the dollar expenditure. It was a no brained! A month later and we are tickled at our decision and the overall performance of our new FRIDGE! Simply wonderful! And the water dispenser is ice cold (ice maker keeps up too!!'

Perfect size and easy to find things

We bought this refrigerator about a month ago and love it. The water is cold from the dispenser and the ice maker in the door puts out a lot of ice quickly. We previously had a Whirlpool side by side and the dispensed water was never cold and the ice took a while to dispense. This is our first French door and it is easier to organize and find things in the fridge. Food items don't get pushed and hidden in the back.

Fridge is a fair price and setup nicely inside. Maytag has a good warranty on the compressor (10) year and 1 year on everything g out the door. Has nice ergonomics and fit dimensionally and wasn’t to tall so was a good fit for me. The only thing I wasn’t fond of was the freezer door feels sort of flimsy and lightweight pulling it in and out on the track it rolls on.

My second, but not my last Maytag product

This is only the second brand new refrigerator I have ever purchased in 35 years. All others have been hand- me- downs. I absolutely love this one. I especially like the size, the style, the features, the quiet ice maker and especially how good it makes my kitchen look. I already owned a Maytag gas range, and hoping to add a dishwasher soon.

Our first Maytag fridge!

This is our first ever Maytag appliance and fridge! We’re still in the process of building our home so haven’t use out new fridge too much yet but it looks great and we’re excited to have ice/water dispensers in the door once our plumbing gets hooked up! I’m going to love the fingerproof stainless steel! I’m just a little disappointed in the shelving though. I thought they’d be a little thicker and more substantial.. and one of the shelves doesn’t fit tight when hung in its place and also bounces a bit when you set things on it. The other shelves that came with the fridge don’t to that. Maybe it came bent a little and is just out of spec a bit so it doesn’t fit well? I’d love to hear your feedback on this.Thank you!

We love the fridge so far. It's large enough to store our fresh food and our frozen food. The cubed ice does tend to build up, so if we're not careful and press the cubed ice button and it gets stuck, a bunch of ice spills out once we open the freezer door to see what's happening. The shelves are easy to install, remove and clean. The outside is easy to keep clean as well, so it still looks new. I like the skinny shelf, because I use it to store my eggs at the top alone so they are not at risk of being broken.The compartments are great also, because everything is organized and easy to find. The fridge and freezer do a fine job of keeping our food cool and fresh for a long time.

Love & hate relationship

Looked good in the store and the price was reasonable, My wife loves the drawer design and how they separate your fruits, vegetables and general items. However, now that it's home; we find that water/ice unit takes up to much space. Giving you less storage room for refrigerated items (sad face). Not sure what why yet but, there's not enough water to keep the ice full or we find ourselves standing to long waiting for a glass of water.

Good ice maker!

I've had it less than a month. It is functional in most ways, with some unsatisfactory design issues that limits what I can do. The push button menu is frustrating. It could be better explained in a diagram format. I still haven't bothered to determine how to lower the freezer temperature Overall I like being able to adjust the shelves, the drawers are okay, and the freezer is nicely divided.The ice maker is a rowdy thing that can shoot out cubes and the refill is dramatic, however short lived. So far though, it is making enough ice for one person to be satisfied. I hope it works without fail for the rest of my life, but...who knows...let it last, at least, through the 10 year compressor warranty. If my review is rejected, I guess I will never know.

It has been a couple of weeks and everything seems to elbe working fine, the ice make is a bit noisy, but other than that is an excelente refrigerator. We had a prior almost identical model that lasted us a bit over 20 years, that is whybwe bought this newer version of the same model type. I have faith in Maytag so far.

I think you should have sent this review the day after we received it, that's better for your customers and reply. The only flaw that we have detected so far, is the water flow. When you get water from the refrigerator, there is a small leak after you pull the glass out.

We like very much the layout of refrigerator lots of space and easy to see whats all inside,also very attractive styling and love stainless steel appliances with non fingerprint finish. ice maker is on the loud side but as long as it keeps working its not a game changer,also ice dispensing is very touchy youhave to be carefull or your glass fills and before you can move glass ice ends on floor

I'm just not sure if I like it. It is a smaller refrigerator than what I had. I couldn't afford the refrigerator like I had. When nothing is guaranteed for more than 5 years. This is so sad!

I really like this Refrigerator except for 2 things…the lid to the l large refrigerator drawer keeps falling off and the ice maker is extremely noisy. The refrigerator shelves can have multiple arrangements which is very convenient. The ice maker produces copious amounts of ice which is wonderful for this large family. the Freezer drawers are roomy and slide very smoothly.

I love the room and the ease of adding larger items if I want to. The crisper does well with my veggies and fruits. Love how the light goes on and off automatically when you get water or ice. I love how easily I can see what is in the freezer and not have to dig through frozen food.

We were forced to purchase a new refrigerator do to a power surge from a power outage. So far we are pleased with this new unit. But our biggest concern is that it runs almost all of the time day and night . We don’t know what this will do our electricity bill. I also am worried about premature failure of some of the components.

Nice looking, effective refrigerator

Bought to replace an LG that broke beyond reasonable repair after 11 years. A bit smaller on the inside , the icemaker takes up a good amount of space but makes great ice cubes. It has a louder motor sound than the LG and at first I thought something was wrong with it, but it’s just the way it is. Looks attractive, bright lighting to see in fridge. Freezer great. Love the anti fingerprint finish!

This is a replacement for another refrigerator (same model) that we bought less than 3 years ago. Looking back, we now realize that the other refrigerator was likely defective. The ice make was always loud and short on ice. This new one works like a champ and exactly what we expected from Maytag. We are more than pleased with this refrigerator.

We bought a Maytag because we had one the previous 6 years and sold it with our house. One of the few refrigerators on the market that the ice dispenser still works after many years. Most of them quit. Also, I love all the shelving options in my new one. I believe Maytag appliances are the best on the market.

Decent Fridge

Seems fine so far. However I like our old one much better. The main complaints for this fridge are that despite being the same exact dimensions as our old one, it loses a lot of space inside somehow. The icemaker takes up a ton of space. There are few areas that could have better storage. The deli drawer I actually think is too tall, so it takes up too much room for the rest of the fridge. Also, the water dispenser is slow, and we can't fit our water bottles under it like we could with our old ones, the area is too small/short, so you have to tilt it in. Rookie mistake to not think about those things. But it does what it should, which is expected since it's new.

Our new Maytag!!

We've only had this for a week or so. This refrigerator is a little noisy, but it can eventually be ignored. The icemaker takes up more room than one might think in the fridge. According to the website where we purchased this, it is 2 cu. ft bigger than our Kenmore that it replaced, but I can't see where. The freezer might be a little bigger but it doesn't seem to be THAT much bigger. The only reason we purchased this one is for the 10yr warranty on the compressor. I think it is a crap shoot to try to determine which brand makes the better French Door refrigerator. Everyone says something different.

It’s nice - love refrigerator space over all but hard to adjust enough space for taller items like ketchup , juice etc. Freezer part is really not big enough so adjusting to keeping mainstays for the week and utilizing deep freeze more . This is a great product so far. It's taken nearly two weeks before learning how to maintain the proper temperature. The ice maker drops ice cubes with a little too much force and it's very difficult to open the ice cube basket inside the fridge plus the ice maker take's up a lot of space inside the "Box."

The instruction book that comes with this appliance really needs to be reviewed for accuracy. Waiting 24 hours before loading is way too long. What's a homeowner supposed to do with the groceries from their old fridge? Also, it takes 4-5 days before this fridge starts functioning properly. It almost acts like it is learning how the people use it (kind a like your car/truck). Is this analysis correct?

We upgraded from a side by side refrigerator snd we absolutely love the design of this French Door Refrigerator! Spacious storage compartments and my favorite thing is the large drawer at the bottom. It fits all our cold cuts and cheeses. Freezer drawers slide nicely and able to store many items as well. Very happy with this purchase!

Great refrigerator. Only defects were the tops of the top retrig doors were out of alignment vertically by 1/4". Secondly, there is a way to correct this per the instructions but the referenced adjustment screw was missing (not installed during the assembly at the manufacturing plant).

We received the refrigerator on 9-23-24. It is bigger than anticipated, but that’s a good thing. It makes ice in the traditional wedge shape. You can dispense the ice in the wedge shape or, have the ice crushed. My wife really likes th crushed ice! We purchased this model as it’s an American made brand. As we have only had this for about 2 weeks, it’s impossible to tell what the long term durability will be.

The refrigerator was delivered 7/19/2024 and I had purchased one similar to one I purchased in 2007, love the French Door and freezer area and the room in the fridge area. Everything seems to work well so far, there is a bit of condensation at the top of the upper french door gasket, and did have repair come out and they didn't think it was a problem but to keep an eye on it. I love the features: Lighted ice/water, Power Cold feature, two forms of ice, easy controls, conveniently located water filter. So far, I am satisfied. I hope it lasts much longer than the Whirlpool that I replaced (7 years). Thank you Maytag!

Bought this a month ago to replace an older French door refrigerator. This one works great. I like the separate levers for water and ice. The water filter is located in the ceiling of the fridge and is quite easy to replace. The price was a little high though. It doesn't have a ton of options.

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have always been very pleased with Maytag products. The new fridge has had one issue. On two occasions it has stopped making ice. This is caused by ice cubes not breaking up and getting stuck on the wire lever/arm where it dumps into tray below. You don’t know this has happened until it runs out of ice. Removing the ice cubes stuck on wire lever/arm it continues to make ice cubes. Unit is level but almost as if to much water has frozen and cubes don’t break apart.

I purchased this refrigerator 3 weeks ago. I needed a model that the store had on-hand, my other was on its last few hours of life. I don't 5hink it would have been my first choice had I had more same day options. The ice maker takes up a good chunk of space in the refrigerator and the pull out bottom drawer is a pain in the butt. The cover pops out of place almost every time I open it. It'd a great fridge keeps things cold like the ice dispenser better than my old one.

Had this for a month and it’s working great so far. Love the ice and water dispenser, and the adjustable shelves are even more convenient than I expected. Organization is easy. The only thing I don’t love about it is the harsh interior led lighting. My older fridge had the nice warm interior light and I really prefer that to the cool white led light. Also the freezer space is a bit tight but that’s to be expected with a French door model.

We have had this for a month now and love it!. The doors are easy to open and there is a lot of room and configurations in the fridge. The ice maker does a great job and it is fairly quiet. It replaced a similar Whirlpool which was noisy and leaked from door condensation.

Really like the in door water and ice

We really like our new refrigerator, however even though its brand new, it seems to be rather loud when it runs for some reason. We considered returning it to make sure something was not wrong, but we would have hired somebody to load it and then its a 170 mile round trip to the store where we purchased it. We hope it does not quit on us right off the start as we cannot afford to replace it.

When it drops ice at night it sounds like someone trying to break into the house. Also, it keeps jamming up in the spout where it comes out and we have to keep breaking up the cubes to get them to come out.

The fridge is OK.. It's loud.... it just randomly makes a loud noise that comes from the electronic information center in the door, not the ice machine. And the ice machine takes up a huge amount of fridge space. I think a better place for it would be in the freezer. We had to remove a shelf to have space for a gallon of milk and pitchers. And there is no good place to put eggs. I'm guessing the long thin drawer is a meat drawer as I can't really find any info on the fridge and the book is almost useless. I really like the french doors and that the handles are easy to keep clean. We've only used it a month so we will see.

Functional but fails on controls

It works - misses the boat on the temperature. You can set an exact temp for the freezer or fridge but you cannot display the current temperature. The functionality exists in the display and the system knows the temp but does not display it. Instead you get this useless thermostat emoji that never changes and is always on - what is the point?

OK, but Not great

Now supposed to replace the valve and the ice maker at some point - not sure when which means emptying the fridge AGAIN. The top drawer of the freezer does not slide as easily as other models. Dent in the freezer door - will be replaced next week. If we could have returned it we would have. Not about to buy any further products from this manufacture.

Not what we were expecting

We bought this refrigerator almost a month ago and we are a bit disappointed. The specifications show this is supposed to be approximately 25 cu ft, which is a couple cu ft bigger than our Kenmore Elite was. But due to the ice maker taking up refrigerator space it surely doesn't hold as much food as the Kenmore. We have a thermometer inside this Maytag and it doesn't hold the temperature very consistent. It varies at 7 to 8 degrees difference. The recommended temperature setting was 37 degrees and this didn't work for us at all. we have the temperature set at 33 and at random times the temperature reaches 40. It is noisy. Especially the ice maker. I don't understand why Maytag (which Whirlpool now owns, I understand) can put a 10yr warranty on the compressor but Whirlpool only has 1yr. The 10 yr warranty was the main reason to purchase this Maytag. Knowing what do now, we would have bought a Whirlpool.

Poorly designed bottom drawer

All in all this is a great refrigerator but the bottom drawer design is absolutely terrible. I'm talking about the long drawer at the bottom of the refrigerator section that has a cover over it that is supposed to pop open when you pull the drawer out. This cover keeps getting jammed and coming off completely. I find myself putting it back on constantly and I'm worried the plastic is going to break and then I won't have a drawer cover at all. This is for sure a manufacturing design flaw that was not tested.

No Butter storage

Love the no finger print outside but inside is too basic based on my last fridge. No butter storage, no grapes berry storage in the door are my two big misses from my old fridge. Also has condensation at the seal on top of freezer drawers. I make sure the left door is closed first but still see the condensation. Otherwise I really like it!

9 days of owning this refrigerator and I will be calling for warranty work. The doors are not installed correctly and I'm finding condensation on the seals. The motor that fills the ice tray is extremely loud with a buzzing noise. I find the pull out tray odd to use, no dividers and you can't access the full drawer. I do like that all my condiments fit in the doors and there is ample room in the main part. I find the paddles for ice and water to be quite slippery being a hard glossy plastic. I am happy the pull out freezer tray was in this model

Terrible black color

Bought in June, didn’t get till September. The shininess of the black door is terrible. Shows everything .Don’t know why the don’t do a black texture on the front. They have it on the side. I had to buy a black refrigerator to match the rest of my kitchen. Closing the doors is noisy as well as well when the refrigerator is running. The lower compartment has slots that you would put a divider in but the refrigerator doesn’t come with it. The function of the refrigerator is acceptable.

Typical American Manufacturing

Been using this fridge for about a month, and bought it to replace an existing 10 year old Maytag (which still works but got beat up in a move; now a garage fridge). Pros: Ice is better, water is better, electronics are all better than the Maytag it replaced. It seems like touch points in general improved from what Maytag was doing 10 years ago. Cons: Cheaper than it's predacessor. The drawers don't slide or even fit their space as well, the doors don't shut as well, the water connection is pastic instead of brass, etc... it's what you'd expect from the current tragectory of modern stuff; it's throw-away products. It's supposedly the same cubic feet as it's predacessor, but the same stuff doesn't fit. The ice machine is inside of the body of the fridge instead of the door on this, so that may be where all the storage was lost. It at least FEELS smaller than its specs.

I just got this last week, but have used it quite a bit since we got it. There are quite a few features we love, but already have a couple we don't. The drawer design is amazing and love the full length drawer especially. It is extremely easy to see everything and you don't have to dig. Having the freezer on the bottom is also a plus since we don't use it as often as the fridge. We have found that the door alarm doesn't work unless it is open more than an inch. It ran all night because the left door was open about an inch and it didn't even register that it was open. The other issue is I haven't used the crushed ice option in a couple of days and am still getting crushed ice when I want cubed. I haven't been impressed with it thus far. Other than those two issues, it had been great!

The ice maker works 90% of The time. Occasionally it stops making ice , but it always starts again. Maytag has been very good to deal with the one time I called. It works

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Works like a fridge should but we’re not in love with it. The ice box inside the fridge takes up so much space. The way the shelves are designed, you are unable to store anything tall in the shelves without removing a shelf and losing out on more storage. We can’t seem to organize it as well as our previous fridge which had a narrow ice box in the door and shelves that could slide in for taller items in front. The ice maker itself, isn’t great. When asking for cubbed ice, we tend to get 1 ice cube or 8 at a time. Also asking for cubes, we also get many crushed pieces or sometimes all crushed pieces. It’s working, so that says more than our old one, but it has room for improvements. No issues thus far with the freezer or the functionality of it.

Probably the exception but our fridge needed immediate service for an issue with the water filter The tech didn’t know what was causing it -he ordered parts and is returning next week. The fridge is now also running extremely loud. Not what I was expecting from Maytag. This has just been my experience but still frustrating.

Fridge Shelf Space

I bought this exact style, 2 years ago. Its a big fridge, with extremely limited space for tall or larger items. Constantly stacking and arranging items to create space for the larger, taller items. Ice cube maker takes up a lot of fridge space. Items kept next to ice maker freezer. Fruit and vegetable drawer not deep and celery has to be placed corner to corner to fit (see marketing photo, celery on top shelf on in vegetable drawer). Snack drawer nice but takes up space that could be used to create more taller shelf space . Would I purchase again. No. Would I purchase a French door, no.

Really loud

Though the fridge looks nice and has lots of room as well as the freezer below. When the ice maker solenoid opens to let water in to the ice tray it is really loud. We have a 3000 sq ft house and no matter where you're at in the house you can hear the fridge when it fills the tray with water. It's super annoying and a little embarrassing when guests are over.

I wanted to burn it. Way too little room for anything. Ice maker overly large. My god is it noisy. Makes nice ice. Good water. Setting tray levels very limited. Not very practical. Overall not enough room. Oh, by the way there's not enough room. Could be a little bit bigger inside. Not very roomy. Could use a little more room.

Lack of space, nonfunctional bins, Huge Ice Maker

Thought I would try the French Door but hate it. Even bigger than what I had. Ice maker huge and takes up so much space. Door bins are Too small and not functional on LT door-- only one shelf is the space allowed for taller items. Water and ice have had chemical/plastic smell for over 3 weeks. No instructions on if deli drawer can be removed?? Just not enough storage space period! Freezer space is so-so. This is more of a second refrigerator rather than using for main refrigerator!

Manufacturer defect

When we received the unit it was very loud when the ice maker filled. We'll on the 6th day the ice maker quit working. So, needless to say, we were not happy. Thankfully the retailer replaced the unit since it wasn't even a week old.

Makes loud noise

I hate the refrigerator part of this fridge. The ice maker literally makes the space inside so small and awkward . It seems like nothing fits anywhere. The large drawer is great but the drawer cover is awful, it pops off all the time. If it were not such a hassle I would exchange it. The freezer part is fantastic and the reason this refrigerator gets 2 stars.

Small ice storage & ice maker gets stuck

I bought this less than a month ago and the ice maker gets stuck discharging the ice which stops ice production. This hinders ice production/storage on an already small ice storage.
