GE Profile™ 27.7 cu. ft. Fingerprint Resistant Refrigerator With Door In Door And Hands-Free Autofill In Stainless Steel | PFD28KYNFS

Owners consistently praise the spacious interior, flexible storage with adjustable shelves and specialized drawers, and the convenient door-in-door feature for quick access to frequently used items like milk and butter. Many also highlight the modern French-door design, reliable performance, and the auto-fill water feature that dispenses water without splashing.

The door-in-door feature allows you to open a smaller inner door without opening the full refrigerator door, providing quick access to frequently grabbed items like milk, butter, and condiments. Most owners find it convenient and appreciate the energy savings from not opening the full door repeatedly, though some note the inner door storage space is limited and the latch mechanism can be finicky on some units.

This model measures 35.8 inches wide, 69.9 inches tall, and 36.3 inches deep. Most owners report it fits well into standard kitchen spaces, though you should verify your specific opening dimensions before purchase to ensure proper fit.

Owners consistently report that the bottom freezer offers generous, spacious storage—often more room than they expected, especially compared to side-by-side models. The flexible shelving and compartments make it easy to organize frozen items.

While most owners report reliable cooling and good temperature control, a notable minority have experienced problems with the unit not reaching proper cold temperatures or failing to cool altogether. Some units arrived defective or developed cooling issues within the first few years. If you experience cooling problems, contact service promptly, as this typically requires professional repair or replacement.

Most owners do not mention noise as a concern. However, some reviewers report that the unit is noticeably loud, and a few note that the cooling fan has failed prematurely. If quiet operation is important to you, this may be worth researching further or testing in-store if possible.

Several owners report that the door-in-door latch does not work reliably—it may fail to latch shut, require slamming to close completely, or stop working shortly after purchase. This is a recurring concern that may require service calls to address.

Owners report mixed longevity. Some have owned prior GE Profile models for 10+ years with reliable performance, while others have experienced failures within 2–6 years or even within the first month. Durability appears to vary by unit; some owners praise GE's long-term reliability, while others have had premature compressor or component failures.
