We continuously collect owner reviews and public discussions from major retailers and community forums, de-duplicate them, and set aside anything we can’t tie to a verified purchase.

What owners talk about most
“I spent a lot of time finding a fridge that had usable space inside. This fridge is huge inside, family members and friends that come over can't believe how much space is inside. The interior water feature is good but lets the cold out and drips inside the fridge. This resulted in me adding a filter tap on the kitchen sink. The ice maker actually works well and far better than any indoor units I've had in the past. Great fridge so far!!!”
Owners Answer
The questions shoppers ask, answered from real owner reviews and discussions across the web — not the manufacturer spec sheet. See the spec FAQ below for the official numbers.
This model provides 27 cubic feet of total capacity with a spacious interior layout. Reviewers consistently praise the generous storage, noting that the fridge holds significantly more than expected and accommodates large families well. The freezer compartment at the bottom includes sliding drawers and dividers for organized storage.
The interior water dispenser is a convenient feature but has usability challenges. Multiple reviewers report that it requires two hands to operate—one to hold a glass and one to press the button—making it difficult for people with limited hand strength or dexterity. The dispenser also requires holding the refrigerator door open while filling, which some find inconvenient.
Noise levels vary by unit. While some reviewers report the fridge runs quietly, others describe noticeable humming or noise from the motor and freezer drawer operation. A few owners find it louder than expected for an energy-efficient model. If quiet operation is important to you, it may be worth testing the specific unit before purchase.
This model measures 36.4 inches wide, 69.9 inches tall, and 35.6 inches deep. One reviewer notes the unit is notably deep compared to other brands, so verify your available space carefully. The width is standard for a 36-inch refrigerator, but the depth may require more clearance than some older models.
Most reviewers report the ice maker works well and produces ice continuously. However, a few owners experienced issues where the ice maker stopped working after a few months, sometimes related to water filter complications or freezer temperature problems. The ice dispenses from the bottom freezer drawer rather than the door, which some find inconvenient compared to traditional door dispensers.
The freezer handle has been reported as problematic by some owners. One reviewer experienced the handle falling off repeatedly during normal use, requiring frequent reattachment. Another noted the handle became loose over time and eventually broke. This appears to be a recurring durability concern worth monitoring.
The stainless steel finish looks sleek and attractive, but it is not truly fingerprint-proof despite marketing claims. Reviewers note that fingerprints are visible on the surface, though they wipe away easily with just water and a soft cloth. The finish is easy to maintain but requires regular cleaning if you prefer a spotless appearance.
This model uses approximately 633 kilowatt-hours per year, which is typical for a French-door refrigerator of this size and capacity.

Refrigerator has PLENTY of storage for both compartments and took no time to get up to temp and holds it steadily. Had a Samsung Bespoke before this one that failed after 3 years. So far this one surpasses the Samsung from day one
It has been an amazing refrigerator for us. Very easy to keep clean and holds our needs. I’m very happy the freezer has dividers.
We bought this product because of GE's reputation of building quality refrigerators. It's only been 3 days and so far we are enjoying it. We hope to get a least a decade of use but that may be asking too much. We shall see.
I love GE Products especially My Refrigerator but the Handle since ownership has been suspect. I tried to use TLC when opening the freezer but sometimes you have to give it a good yank to do so and because of that I finally came off. So be careful
