Frigidaire - 33 in. Wide 22.3 cu. ft. Side-By-Side Refrigerator With Eventemp Cooling System - White FRSS2323AW

Owners consistently report that this model uses significantly less power than their previous refrigerators, with annual energy consumption of 615 kWh. Multiple reviewers specifically praised the energy-saving performance as a major advantage of this unit.

The ice maker is widely praised for making ice quickly and producing high-quality pyramid-shaped ice cubes that owners prefer over traditional crescent shapes. The crushed ice feature is also a popular convenience, though a few reviewers noted the ice cubes are smaller than expected or took longer than anticipated to fill the bin initially.

The water dispenser provides filtered water with good quality that owners appreciate, but the water comes out at room temperature rather than chilled. Some reviewers wish the water were cooled before dispensing.

Most reviewers describe the refrigerator as very quiet or quiet during normal operation. A few owners noted it makes some operational noises or can be a little loud when running, but these were exceptions rather than the norm.

The refrigerator offers spacious storage with deep drawers and shelves, and clear shelves in both the fridge and freezer sections that help with visibility. However, several owners noted that the interior layout has limited flexibility, with some wasted space and a desire for more shelving options. The freezer and refrigerator compartments are roughly equal in size, which some owners felt made the fridge side smaller than ideal.

This 22.3 cubic foot side-by-side model is designed to fit in smaller spaces and is narrower than standard models. However, some reviewers noted it is quite deep and sticks out further from the wall than wider profile models, which may affect kitchen layout. A few owners also mentioned difficulty reaching the back of top shelves due to the depth.

Several owners reported that ice shoots out of the dispenser and scatters on the floor if the glass is not positioned directly under the chute, which can be inconvenient with children. A few reviewers requested a deeper, drainable catch pan or removable tray to better collect water and ice that misses glasses. One owner noted there is no way to shut off the ice maker.

The ice maker can take over 24 hours to start producing ice after installation and initial setup. Owners should be aware of this delay and not be concerned if no ice appears immediately after the unit is installed.
