LG Refrigerator Water Filter LT700PC

Most reviewers report the filter is very easy to install and replace, with straightforward instructions that take just minutes. A few note it requires a slight struggle to remove the old filter or that you need to empty about 2.5 gallons of water during replacement, but the overall consensus is that installation is simple and convenient.

Yes—reviewers consistently report that the filter noticeably improves water and ice taste, removing odors and making water taste fresher and cleaner than tap water. Many compare it favorably to bottled water and note that the improvement is immediate and obvious after installation.

Reviewers strongly praise the subscription service, which delivers filters automatically every 3–6 months. Owners appreciate not having to remember to order, receiving filters before the replacement light comes on, and the convenience of a simple swap when the new filter arrives.

Reviewers who have tried non-LG filters report that genuine LG filters deliver noticeably better water taste, superior fit, and more reliable performance. Some found counterfeit or cheaper alternatives did not fit properly, leaked, or produced inferior water quality, making the genuine filter worth the investment.

A small number of reviewers report that replacement filters leak, leaving water on the refrigerator shelf, even after checking installation and o-rings. However, the majority of reviewers report no leaks and reliable performance, suggesting the issue may affect specific model combinations or batches rather than being a widespread design flaw.

Several reviewers note the filter is expensive, though most accept the cost as necessary for genuine LG quality and performance. Some mention that the price is high but worth it for the water quality improvement, while others wish it were cheaper but acknowledge limited alternatives for their LG refrigerator model.

Reviewers indicate the filter lasts several months before the refrigerator's replacement light comes on, with most on subscription plans receiving new filters every 3–6 months. One reviewer noted the filter often exceeds its rated filtration volume before needing replacement.
