Owners Answer
The questions shoppers ask, answered from real owner reviews and discussions across the web — not the manufacturer spec sheet. See the spec FAQ below for the official numbers.
How much storage space does this refrigerator offer?Based on 5 owner mentions
This French-door model has a total capacity of 21.8 cubic feet, with a spacious refrigerator section and a roomy bottom freezer drawer. Multiple reviewers praise the flexible shelving and generous space for groceries, noting it holds significantly more than expected for its compact footprint.
Is this refrigerator quiet?Based on 4 owner mentions
Yes, most owners report the refrigerator operates very quietly. Several reviewers specifically mention appreciating the quiet operation, and the ice maker is also noted as quiet. A few owners reported a temporary hum or rattling noise in the first few days that resolved on its own.
What are the shelf and storage configuration options?Based on 4 owner mentions
The refrigerator features adjustable shelves that are easy to move and reconfigure to suit your storage needs. Reviewers appreciate the flexibility to customize shelf heights and the removable crisper drawers, though some note that standard shelf spacing may not accommodate very tall items like gallon milk jugs without adjustment.
Does this model include a water filter for the ice maker?Based on 2 owner mentions
No, this model does not have a built-in water filter for the ice maker. If you have hard water and want filtered ice, you will need to install an aftermarket water filter yourself, which adds additional cost and effort.
How is the cooling and temperature performance?Based on 4 owner mentions
Most reviewers report excellent cooling and temperature stability, with food staying fresh and the freezer maintaining proper temperatures. A few owners noted the fridge initially ran cold and required temperature adjustments, but once calibrated, it performs reliably.
What is the energy efficiency of this refrigerator?Based on 2 owner mentions
This model uses 587 kWh per year and is Energy Star certified, making it an efficient choice for reducing energy costs. Reviewers specifically mention appreciating the energy savings and affordability of operation.
Are there any durability or longevity concerns?Based on 7 owner mentions
While many owners report years of reliable service, a recurring pattern shows some units experiencing compressor failures between 4–7 years, sometimes shortly after the warranty expires. Plastic door bins and drawer supports have also been reported to break more frequently than expected by some owners. LG's warranty service has generally been responsive in addressing these issues.
How does the design and appearance hold up?Based on 4 owner mentions
The black stainless steel finish is sleek and modern, and reviewers consistently praise the attractive design and compact footprint. However, fingerprints can be difficult to clean on the exterior, and the refrigerator is not magnetic, which may limit magnet placement on the doors.
