LG Capacity Side-By-Side Refrigerator With External Water Dispenser, 28 cu. ft. LRSWS2806S

This model offers 28 cubic feet of capacity and reviewers consistently praise its spaciousness. The side-by-side layout makes it easy to see and access items without bending, and the flexible shelf configuration allows for customization with add-on drawers to suit different storage needs.

Multiple reviewers report that this model operates very quietly. One owner noted they had to check to make sure it was actually running, and another praised its quiet operation as a key selling point alongside its spacious design.

Most reviewers report the ice maker works well and produces good-quality ice. However, some owners with larger households note it may be slow to keep up with heavy demand, and one reviewer wished it produced more per day. The ice bucket is located at the top of the freezer, which some find difficult to reach.

This model includes a water dispenser in the door. Some reviewers expected an ice dispenser as well and were disappointed to find it dispenses water only. The water dispenser is convenient, though one owner noted the water flow can be slow.

Reviewers report that this refrigerator maintains proper temperature effectively. One owner verified temperature performance with extra thermometers and confirmed it works as expected, and another noted it keeps food at the right temperature consistently.

While most owners are satisfied, some recurring concerns include: ice maker failures or grinding noises appearing after warranty expiration, occasional door alignment issues where the freezer door may open slightly when the fridge door closes, and difficulty sourcing replacement parts when needed. A few owners also reported receiving units with defects that required replacement or repair, though LG customer service was responsive in some cases.

The refrigerator includes large drawers with handles located at the bottom, which reviewers note can be inconvenient—especially for elderly users or children who must bend down significantly to open the bottom drawer. Some owners have adapted by using their feet to open drawers or purchasing add-on drawer units for better organization.

One reviewer noted that the stainless steel exterior is very thin and dents easily, so care should be taken during installation and use. The finish does clean up well according to owners who appreciate the modern appearance.
