What owners talk about most
“Looks great and easy to clean! We bought this to replace our fridge that stopped working. This fridge is laid out in side very nicely making it feel spacious and easy to find what you’re looking for, even though it has smaller square footage then some other models that are counter depth.”
Owners Answer
The questions shoppers ask, answered from real owner reviews and discussions across the web — not the manufacturer spec sheet. See the spec FAQ below for the official numbers.
Yes. This is a counter-depth model measuring 32.8 inches wide, 69.9 inches tall, and 31 inches deep with 18.6 cubic feet of capacity, making it ideal for galley kitchens, remodeled spaces, and homes where a standard-depth refrigerator won't fit. Multiple reviewers praise it as a space-saver that fits perfectly between counters and walls while still offering surprisingly good storage and visibility.
The interior lighting is consistently praised by reviewers as excellent and superior to competing models. The bright LED lighting makes it easy to locate items and see everything at a glance, and multiple owners report that the visibility helps keep track of groceries and reduces waste.
The freezer compartment is notably smaller than the refrigerator section. Multiple reviewers note that the ice maker tray takes up significant space, leaving limited room for frozen foods. This is a trade-off of the counter-depth design; owners with smaller households or those who don't freeze large quantities report it works fine, but families needing substantial freezer storage should be aware of this limitation.
Noise levels are mixed. Some reviewers report the compressor runs smoothly with very little noise, while others describe it as noticeably loud with a constant humming sound that is distracting. A few owners note it is slightly noisier than their previous GE models. If quiet operation is important to you, this is worth considering based on individual unit variation.
The water dispenser is built into the interior of the refrigerator rather than on the exterior door. Reviewers report mixed experiences: some appreciate the feature and find it works well, while others find it awkward to use because you must open both doors, the spout is small and positioned close to the wall, and it requires holding the button continuously without an easy press-and-release mechanism. Filling larger containers or bottles can be challenging.
The refrigerator is consistently described as beautiful, sleek, and stylish with an attractive matte finish and elegant brass handles that earn compliments from visitors. The counter-depth design and modern aesthetic make it a standout in kitchens. The finish resists fingerprints and smudges better than stainless steel, making it easy to keep clean.
Yes. If the refrigerator is installed against a side wall, you may need a 4-inch filler space to allow the doors to swing open fully at 90 degrees, as the hinges do not swing within themselves like some high-end models. Additionally, ensure the refrigerator is not pushed all the way to the back wall, as the doors may hit adjacent countertops or cabinet handles when fully open and cause damage. Check your kitchen layout carefully before installation.
Reliability is mixed. Most owners report good performance in the first few years, but there are reports of compressor failure, cooling issues, and seal problems occurring within 2–3 years. Some reviewers have experienced difficulty getting timely service from GE. A few units have had manufacturing defects (such as missing shelf support pegs or improper seals). It is advisable to review the warranty terms and keep documentation of any issues for warranty claims.

It is a beautiful refrigerator with nice details, however the freezer is a little small..
We chose the cafe products for our new kitchen and we are so happy w our choice . The matte finish and brass handles are stunning
Wow! This fridge is beautiful! It fits so perfectly in the small space I have in my kitchen! The lighting inside makes everything SO easy to see and find! The freezer is a tad small, but works great and I love the divider in the bottom drawer!
The exterior design is not just gorgeous, but the interior is very cleverly laid out to make the most of the existing space. What an upgrade to the look & function of our kitchen.
We're used to a deeper refrigerator. I appreciate the slick and clean look of the front. I love the white and the brushed brass. However, I can't fit celery in the vegetable drawers. Too shallow in the model we have.
Convinced? Amazon has it for $2,201.09
