Summit brings quality and value under the counter with the industrys largest collection of built-in refrigeration. Sized 24" wide, the FFRF24SSCSS is an all-in-one side-by-side refrigerator-freezer. The front-breathing design allows built-in installation under counters, while the fully finished cabinet also enables freestanding use. This unit comes in a complete stainless steel wrapped exterior, including the kickplate and pro-style handles. Each compartment has a factory-installed front lock for added security. The sealed rear and right-angle plug offer a better fit. Inside, the FFRF24SSCSS features a frost-free freezer compartment on the left and a frost-free refrigerator compartment on the right. The refrigerator includes a digital thermostat allowing users to manage the temperature in each compartment, with a readout in Celsius or Fahrenheit for added convenience. Adjustable glass shelves offer cleaner spill-proof storage for fresh food items, while two removable door shelves provide additional storage space as needed. An internal fan ensures the compartment is cooled evenly from top to bottom. The freezer compartment includes adjustable wire shelves to ensure proper cold air circulation. Both sides feature LED lighting to provide an attractive, energy-efficient presentation. The slotted floor design is ideal for keeping bottles safely in place. Additional features include an open door alarm, high-temperature alarm, and Sabbath mode setting that allows you to disable certain functions during religious observance. With its innovative all-in-one design, user-friendly features, and full frost-free operation, the FFRF24SSCSS is a great choice for smaller kitchens looking to maximize storage space under the counter. Brand Background
About Summit Appliance
Summit Appliance, a division of Felix Storch, Inc., has operated out of the Bronx, New York since 1969, carving out a distinctive niche in specialty refrigeration that sets it apart from mainstream appliance manufacturers. The company's catalog on Fridge.com encompasses 907 active products, reflecting an unusually broad range of specialized cooling solutions. Rather than competing in the standard kitchen refrigerator market, Summit focuses heavily on commercial and specialty categories—the brand offers 161 upright freezers, 153 kegerators, 153 beverage centers, and 78 built-in units, alongside 161 french-door models. This distribution reveals a manufacturer deeply invested in foodservice, hospitality, and medical applications rather than typical residential needs. ADA-compliant models like the CT661WADA compact freezer demonstrate Summit's commitment to accessibility requirements, while units like the SBC15NKCSS kegerator highlight their strength in beverage dispensing equipment. With products carrying an average rating of 3.7 out of 5, Summit Appliance occupies the mainstream tier but serves markets that premium residential brands often overlook, making it a go-to source for undercounter installations, laboratory storage, and commercial beverage applications where specialized dimensions and compliance certifications matter most.
