The Summit SPRF34D is a 24-inch two-drawer refrigerator freezer with a 3.9 cubic foot capacity. It features a stainless steel finish and is designed as a drawer-style unit rather than a traditional upright refrigerator. The cabinet is panel-ready capable, allowing for custom panels to be added, though panels are not included with the unit.
This drawer-style refrigerator freezer is suited for installations where a traditional upright unit may not fit or where drawer access is preferred, such as in kitchens with accessibility needs or as supplemental cold storage. The 24-inch width and panel-ready design allow it to integrate into cabinetry configurations. Because this is a drawer-type appliance, consider whether the lower access point and drawer-style operation align with your storage and usage patterns, and verify that the 3.9 cubic foot capacity meets your refrigeration needs before purchasing.

How We Score It
Gathering the reviews
We continuously collect owner reviews and public discussions from major retailers and community forums, de-duplicate them, and set aside anything we can’t tie to a verified purchase.
Calculating the average
Averaged across every source we found (Amazon, AJ Madison, and other retailers). Each source counts in proportion to how many ratings it has, so a store with thousands of reviews moves the number more than one with only a handful.

What Owners Say
7 ratings
These were replacements for the original units on our motor yacht. They fit easily into the undercounter spaces and the stainless steel gave an updated look to the galley.
Wanted to up the rating of this product, as the other rating is overly focused on the dent-prone front panels, and says nothing about the nicety of the design - one of the only Frig/ freezer drawer combos available.
I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to warn others about the Summit SPRF34D undercounter refrigerator/freezer drawer unit. This appliance has been one of the most disappointing purchases I've ever made. The unit failed within the first year — the freezer drawer simply…
I purchased this in 7/2022 and it ices up preventing the fan from working. About once per month I need to melt the ice with a hair dryer until the fan works. This product is crap!
Ice slowly evaporates from the freezer then freezes to the fan. I have to defrost this every month because the ice builds up on the fan and it stops working.I contacted the seller who was not helpful at all.
Convinced? Amazon has it for $2,140

Quoted from the owner's manual
What the owner's manual for the Summit Appliance SPRF34D states about installation clearances, care and maintenance, and warranty terms — quoted word for word, never paraphrased.
Installation clearances
“For free-standing installation, 5" (127mm) of space between the back and sides of the unit, and 4" (102mm) at the top, are suggested. This allows the proper air circulation to cool the compressor and condenser.”

“Wash the inside surfaces with a solution of warm water and baking soda (about 2 tablespoons of baking soda to a quart of water).”
“Wash the outside cabinet with warm water and mild liquid detergent. Rinse well and wipe dry with a clean soft cloth.”

“Ensure that the unit is adequately ventilated. Never cover air vents.”
Warranty terms
“Within the 48 contiguous United States, for one year from the date of purchase, when this appliance is operated and maintained according to instructions attached to or furnished with the product, warrantor will pay for factory-specified parts and repair labor to correct defects in materials or workmanship.”

Brand Background
Summit Appliance, a division of Felix Storch, Inc., has operated out of the Bronx, New York since 1969, carving out a distinctive niche in specialty refrigeration that sets it apart from mainstream appliance manufacturers. The company's catalog on Fridge.com encompasses 907 active products, reflecting an unusually broad range of specialized cooling solutions. Rather than competing in the standard kitchen refrigerator market, Summit focuses heavily on commercial and specialty categories—the brand offers 161 upright freezers, 153 kegerators, 153 beverage centers, and 78 built-in units, alongside 161 french-door models. This distribution reveals a manufacturer deeply invested in foodservice, hospitality, and medical applications rather than typical residential needs. ADA-compliant models like the CT661WADA compact freezer demonstrate Summit's commitment to accessibility requirements, while units like the SBC15NKCSS kegerator highlight their strength in beverage dispensing equipment. With products carrying an average rating of 3.7 out of 5, Summit Appliance occupies the mainstream tier but serves markets that premium residential brands often overlook, making it a go-to source for undercounter installations, laboratory storage, and commercial beverage applications where specialized dimensions and compliance certifications matter most.
