Keeping cool

These were replacements for the original units on our motor yacht. They fit easily into the undercounter spaces and the stainless steel gave an updated look to the galley.

Unreliable and Overpriced – Avoid the Summit SPRF34D

I rarely leave reviews, but I felt compelled to warn others about the Summit SPRF34D undercounter refrigerator/freezer drawer unit. This appliance has been one of the most disappointing purchases I've ever made.The unit failed within the first year — the freezer drawer simply couldn't maintain a cold enough temperature. Summit did repair it under warranty, which at the time gave me some hope. Unfortunately, only a few months later, the refrigerator drawer stopped working properly, no longer staying cold enough to safely store food.When I contacted the company again, I was told the warranty had expired — despite the fact that the product had already failed once. Summit offered to cover the cost of the replacement part "as a courtesy," but refused to cover the repair itself. So essentially, I was expected to pay even more money out of pocket to fix a unit that had already proven itself to be unreliable.At this point, I just can't justify investing more time or money into this lemon. There's no guarantee it won't break again in another few months, and frankly, I don’t trust the quality or longevity of the product — or the brand. I've decided to cut my losses and purchase a different unit from a more reputable manufacturer.Final verdict: This is an expensive built-in unit with serious reliability issues and lackluster support. Don’t make the same mistake I did — avoid the SPRF34D and look elsewhere.

Don't waste your money!

I purchased this in 7/2022 and it ices up preventing the fan from working. About once per month I need to melt the ice with a hair dryer until the fan works. This product is crap!

Freezer seal ineffective

Ice slowly evaporates from the freezer then freezes to the fan. I have to defrost this every month because the ice builds up on the fan and it stops working.I contacted the seller who was not helpful at all.

Quit working after 1.5 years!!!

Purchased in July 2022. Much to my dismay, the compressor went out in February 2024 and the cost to repair excveeded the cost of the unit. Let the buyer beware..........

Dents easily, noisy, generally lower quality vs. premium brands

We purchased a new home, and we wanted a refrigerator/freezer for the bar with a 2-drawer configuration. There are not many options, but there are a few KitchenAid (only with ice maker), Thermador, etc. This refrigerator at $2200 was expensive, but still less the other high brands. However, we made a mistake. This brand dents easily -- stainless steel cover is extremely thin -- and the unit is relatively noisy. For the price, one would still expect an exceptional appliance. We will not be purchasing Summit again.
