Owners Answer
The questions shoppers ask, answered from real owner reviews and discussions across the web — not the manufacturer spec sheet. See the spec FAQ below for the official numbers.
How well does this freezer maintain temperature, especially in hot environments like garages?Based on 5 owner mentions
Owners consistently report excellent temperature stability and control. Multiple reviewers specifically praise its performance in hot garages and extreme summer heat, with one noting no frost buildup and another confirming it maintains steady temperatures even in very hot conditions. The door seal is described as tight, which helps maintain cold interior temperatures reliably.
Is this freezer quiet during operation?Based on 7 owner mentions
Yes, owners frequently highlight how quietly this freezer runs. Multiple reviewers describe it as very quiet or whisper-quiet, with one noting the only way to know it's running is by the green indicator light. One reviewer mentioned an unexpected loud noise when closing the door after loading, but this was an isolated report among many praising quiet operation.
What is the interior layout and storage capacity like?Based on 9 owner mentions
Reviewers consistently praise the spacious interior with adjustable shelves and door storage pockets that make organization easy. The upright design allows you to see contents clearly, and owners appreciate the deep shelves and multiple storage options. Some reviewers note the footprint is compact and space-efficient for kitchens, garages, and laundry rooms, though a few mention wishing for one additional shelf to maximize vertical space.
Can this unit be converted between freezer and refrigerator modes?Based on 6 owner mentions
Yes, this model includes a convertible freezer/refrigerator function controlled by a single dial. Owners appreciate the flexibility, with some using it as a refrigerator during kitchen renovations and then switching to freezer mode afterward. The conversion is described as simple and straightforward to operate.
How easy is setup and installation?Based on 4 owner mentions
Owners report straightforward setup, with one reviewer noting it was 'really good and easy' and another describing it as 'plug in and go.' The freezer cools down quickly once plugged in, with one owner reporting it reached below freezing within four hours from a warm delivery state.
What are the physical dimensions and does it fit in tight spaces?Based on 6 owner mentions
This upright freezer has a tall, slim design with dimensions of 27.8 inches wide, 67.8 inches tall, and 26 inches deep. Owners frequently note it fits well in compact spaces like corners, laundry rooms, and small garages without taking up much floor space, making it ideal for kitchens and tight areas where a wider freezer would not fit.
Is the door seal tight, and is the freezer difficult to open?Based on 3 owner mentions
Owners praise the tight door seal for maintaining cold temperatures effectively. However, a few reviewers note that the strong seal can make the door difficult to open initially. One owner also mentioned that the adjustable legs are not easily adjustable, which may affect how smoothly the door operates.
What helpful features does this freezer include?Based on 5 owner mentions
Owners appreciate several practical features: an illuminated green LED indicator light at the bottom that shows the unit is operating without opening the door, a door alarm, adjustable shelves for flexible organization, and a bottom tray for propping up items like vegetable bags. - So far, I'm loving my new freezer!
Very good size and plenty of room inside to store items. Its also very quiet. You can change the setting from freezer to refrigerator and I really like the little light at the bottom that stays illuminated. I've had it a week and so far im loving it.
Pepper5615Jun 21, 2026 - The perfect compact freezer
I needed a new standup freezer to replace one that was rusting away on the screen porch in our Southern humidity. It would have to fit in the limited space of my laundry room. Growing up, most families had freezers, referred to as "the Frigidaire", as though it was a member of the family! It was the brand considered synonymous with reliability and longevity by a community of budget conscious families. My new frigidaire is the size I required but still has ample, well organized storage. It has an attractive, has an easy to clean exterior and is whisper quiet. It was ready for food storage within an hour! With all its features for the size, I couldn't be more pleased with my purchase.
