We continuously collect owner reviews and public discussions from major retailers and community forums, de-duplicate them, and set aside anything we can’t tie to a verified purchase.

What owners talk about most
“I've had two bev centers before the Frigidaire FGBC5334VS and both were $200 more expensive, but would not cool lower than 46-48 degrees (even though they advertised to 34 degrees). After humping those units up and down 2 flights of stairs twice, I finally found the one. Buy this Frigidaire unit and you will be increasing the temp to 41 so that your beer does not freeze. It's THAT cold. I love it.”
Owners Answer
The questions shoppers ask, answered from real owner reviews and discussions across the web — not the manufacturer spec sheet. See the spec FAQ below for the official numbers.
This unit cools exceptionally well, with most reviewers reporting it reaches 34 degrees or lower—significantly colder than many competing models. Several owners note they actually have to raise the temperature setting to 36–41 degrees to prevent beverages from freezing. A small number of reviewers reported temperature discrepancies where the display showed one setting but internal measurements varied, though a hard reset resolved the issue in at least one case.
Most reviewers describe this unit as quiet or very quiet during operation, with many specifically praising its silent performance. A small minority noted occasional noise, though this was not a widespread complaint. Overall, owners consistently report it runs quietly enough for bedroom, kitchen, or basement use without disturbance.
This unit holds 5.1 cubic feet and measures 23.4 inches wide, 33.9 inches tall, and 22.5 inches deep. Reviewers consistently report it holds more beverages than expected and fits well in under-counter, built-in, and freestanding installations. A few owners noted it may not accommodate very large items like pizza boxes, and some found the shelf height limits standing tall bottles upright.
Yes, the door is reversible and can be switched from right to left swing. Multiple reviewers report the reversal process is straightforward and easy to complete. Installation overall is described as simple, with the unit cooling down quickly after setup and requiring minimal effort to get operational.
Yes, this unit has a door chime that sounds when the door is opened. However, multiple reviewers report there is no option in the manual or settings to disable this feature, and some find it annoying or disruptive. A few owners appreciate the alert as a safety feature to prevent accidental energy loss, but others wish they could turn it off.
Most owners report the door works well, but several note the magnetic seals are not very strong and the door can bounce back open if not closed firmly or if pushed too hard. Reviewers recommend closing the door gently and deliberately to ensure it stays sealed. This is a minor inconvenience rather than a defect, and awareness of the issue prevents problems.
The unit has adjustable shelf heights, but reviewers note the flexibility is somewhat limited. Several owners wish there were more height options to accommodate tall bottles standing upright, and one reviewer mentioned shelves do not pull out easily during normal operation. For the price, most consider the shelving adequate, though it is not as customizable as some prefer.
Most reviewers report strong reliability and satisfaction over years of ownership. Several owners have owned the unit for 5+ years without issues, and some have repurchased the same model for additional properties. However, a small number of owners experienced failures within 4–5 years, with cooling performance degradation or complete malfunction. The manufacturer offers replacement rather than repair for defective units.

A good beverage center but could use more flexibility with the shelving slots. The handle sits very prominent and extends way past the counter top. Works well and simple controls. Loved the Danby it replaced but there was no available service for them.
I am very pleased with my purchase. I've been wanting to replace the dishwasher with this beautiful built-in under counter a fridge.
We are so impressed with this! It is better than expected! Give it 10 stars with 5 being the best!
We built a new home and wanted an optiion instead of having a garage frig just for drinks. This is perfect! We were able to switch the door so it swung open left instead of right
