Good buy.
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Wanted a extra freezer in the garage for overflow. This one fit the bill. Slender and tall so it fits in tight spaces. Plenty of room for frozen pizzas and large items. Was a good buy. Only disappointment is that it has zero smart features. Would be nice to be notifies of a open door or fluctuation in temperature. I guess you can't have it all.

Absolutely love this convertible freezer/fridge! Easy access to all your items. Never worry again about losing items to the back of your fridge/freezer. Comes with 5 drawers that are completely removable for alternative storage. This unit also allows for temp control customization and has alarm for when unit is left open. Customer photo 1Customer photo 2SEXIEST APPLIANCE IN THE HOUSE!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I bought this 3 years ago when my chest freezer died. I was not looking for this type at all, but every choice I made was on back order for weeks. The salesman suggested this and I paused for a moment, thinking 'Does my frozen food container really need to be the sexiest thing in my house?'. Well turns out it did! JK! But it really looks great, three years in and it has caused me to step up my kitchen appearance game. Turns out you CAN get a matching Kitchenaid mixer...

Customer photo 1Customer photo 2Great smaller size freezer/fridge!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Great freezer/refrigerator. Perfect as a second fridge for overflow from kitchen or for drinks as I am using it for or a smaller apartment. My only gripe is that requires a professional to change the door to open from the left side. You can but Samsung highly recommends a pro do it. Couldn’t be more happy with this purchase. Would buy a 2nd for a freezer if I had the room.

Customer photo 1I love the convertible feature offered!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I purchased (2) TWO of the 11.4 cu.ft Capacity Upright Convertible Freezer/Refrigerators-about 2 months ago. I use one for overflow and stock ahead refrigerator goods and the 2nd one for extra frozen foods. I am more than satisfied with my purchase. They are side by side and look great. I love the color! I put them in a small extra bedroom located next to my small kitchen. With a quick touch on control panel inside, I may switch both to freezers, both to frig, or one of each. Checking the Samsung warranty info— look for it—is what convinced me to choose instead of a cheaper model.

Customer photo 1Amazing Freezer with drawers no more digging
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Wow I am amazed with this freezer. Saw a pic of it online and Immediately had to sell my deep freezer and buy this. So easy to keep all my meats separated and not have to dig through the deep freezer to find a meat. When it arrived it quickly got to the temp it needed to be to put stuff in it.

Customer photo 1Fantastic Freezer
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I bought this a month ago when my refrigerator knocked out. The refrigerator compressor went down in my refrigerator and I needed a freezer while storing some things with the neighbor. I saw this freezer/refrigerator and decided it would be great for my needs. It has a very spacious foot print and fits in the garage nicely. Easy to find what you are looking for and does a fantastic job at maintaining a constant freeze temperature. Food does not get defrosted and iced up like in the refrigerator/freezer due to the high swings in temperature for defrosting needs. So far this has been a dream come true and the way freezers should be made. I have changed my kitchen now to the Samsung induction stove/oven and the convection microwave which work together quite nicely. Samsung definiatly has the user in mind in creating their appliances.

Customer photo 1Just right
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
This freezer is extremely easy to use and looks fantastic. I’ve had chest freezers and they just don’t do the job. Food goes to the bottom line and you never seem to see you ever again. This upright you can find everything and it looks fantastic where I have it placed. It’s not too big and holds enough food without having to go shopping for meat or at least six months.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
i love love love this appliance. it was easy to install. just made sure it was level. turned off the lock function and turned it to freeze and quick freeze and i was ready to load it up. the bins are so handy and so spacious. it runs so quiet i sometimes forget it is there. i like that it takes up a very small footprint so can be placed almost anywhere. if we get to a point where we no longer need all that freezer space we can concertit back to a fridge so we should get years out of this. if you are debating this appliance i am here to tell you to just get it. you will not be disappointed

Customer photo 1Customer photo 2Very Happy
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
We bought a fridge/freezer for overflow from our kitchen fridge. We liked the idea it could go from chilling to freezing. In fact, we like it so much we bought a second. If I had space in my kitchen, I would definitely switch my kitchen fridge to the laundry room and keep the twins in the kitchen. The only downside is not being able to adjust shelves/drawers. And the skinny little shelf holder on the door is cracked. I definitely recommend these. Oh, and when companies start offering more variety in colors (Japan has been doing this for years), it would be a bonus.

Cold freezer
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Bought this to replace a 20+ year old power hungry freezer. So far so good, the food stays frozen, the power usage is more than half the old one (main reason for the purchase). It’s a bit smaller than we would have liked, but it works well. Also would like to switch the door to the other side without having to make a service call to keep the warranty…

Great combo of shelves and drawers
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
Bought this end of November and got delivery on Christmas Eve. So far so good. I use it as an extra freezer in the garage. I like that it has a combo of shelves and drawers (my previous freezer only had shelves). I prefer this upright, easier to retrieve items. Sometime back I had a chest freezer and it was cumbersome to get to items I needed. I can easily see what I need with this one. Although I probably would not need to use it as a refrigerator, it would be ideal if it had a separate refrigerator zone.

Love the slim upright style.
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this freezer 18 months ago and I throughly love it. I have a small home and have never had enough space for a traditional upright freezer. However this narrow size is perfect for my small home. I also love all of the drawers instead of shelves. Nothing gets shoved to the back and forgotten, you can easily see and access everything.

Great option for a second freezer/fridge.
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I purchased this last month and I couldn't be happier. The delivery and setup went like clockwork. I'm using it as a second freezer right now and it works great. The temperature is steady around -1 degrees F. It's very conveniently set up with both drawers and shelves. Very easy to organize everything. I love the idea that if needed I can use it as a fridge instead.

The perfect Fridge/Freezer for the Garage
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I bought this Samsung Convertible Upright Freezer/Refrigerator to replace a much larger refrigerator/freezer unit in my garage. This appliance is the perfect size to fit near the doorway and just enough room to store the extra items you need to freeze away. The available storage inside allows me to organize better instead of tossing everything together & door is perfect for keeping my hard liquor cold. I have not had any issues with the freezer nor have I seen any sweating or moisture coming from the appliance. I am pleased with how well it keeps food frozen, and definitely would recommend for those who want to maximize space in their garage.

Nice slim fridge/freezer

It’s a nice size freezer, fits into a smaller space, there’s lots of drawer space. Currently using it as a fridge and wish the shelves inside had more adjustable positions. Our water pitcher and ice tea pitcher are too tall.

Just What We Were Looking For
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Purchased this freezer 4 months ago. Was concerned as I could not see it in person before buying, however it turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. The pull-out drawers are perfect for separating beef, chicken, fish, and kids treats. No more digging into a chest freezer. The drawers can be removed if you want extra shelf space. Would highly recommend this freezer.

Saves Space!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
The size was perfect to fit into a tight space in my garage. Putting too much food in all at once caused some frost but the issue went away the next day. When the drawers are pulled out, it looks pretty great too but the drawers are convenient for my needs. I like that it has the ability to modulate as needed. Overall seems like it's running well so far.

So glad we bought this. We signed up for a neat and seafood service that loads up the freezer every couple of months. We have all of our craft ice and frozen beer bugs and the different foods are put in one drawer for meat, one drawer for chicken, one drawer for seafood, and one drawer for vegetables, fries and side dishes. cant believe we’re so organized with the freezer. It has really been a game changer.

Very sleek looking fridge/freezer
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
I bought this freezer for our garage and it looks fabulous next to my old GE fridge. It is slim and sleek on the outside while the inside keeps everything super organized. Overall the fridge will be used mainly for freezer purposes, but may convert to fridge on an as needed basis. The only complaint I have is that the door is not easily reversible and it runs quite hot on the sides in my garage sometimes.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
I really like this fridge, in fact, I want to buy another one, but the problem is that the door ajar alarm does not turn on, or I can't figure it out, and I have tried different options so sometimes I find a puddle of water when the door was left open. I also wish they would fix the website to link to the options for glass alternatives rather than me having to find out which will work with this tall column.

Perfect companion to flex fridge
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I bought this because I was never happy with the freezer space in any of my refrigerators. Bought a 4-door flex and while roomy, you couldn't really get the full use of all three zones once all the frozen food was in it. With this I can keep soon to use frozen food, current open ice cream, etc. in the fridge freezer, use the different fridge settings on the flex zone and keep longer term frozen foods and meats in the upright. It is pretty narrow and occupies a dead spot across from the pantry. I find that I open it far less so the frozen foods last longer and I don't get a bunch of ice crystals in everything.

Nice, versatile fridge. Not ideal for beer
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
I bought this fridge to replace a chest freezer I had for beer. Tried out the Kimchi fridge from Samsung, and despite that being nearly perfect, it wasn't deep enough to hold a keg. But the features on it were awesome. I switched to this because I liked the ability to switch between a fridge and freezer with the digital readout. Unfortunately for me, the fridge isn't wide enough to hold 2 kegs side by side (the little ridges for the trays and drawers stick out too far) and the compressor sticks out too far to fit them diagonally on the bottom. Putting them on the next shelf up works, but then I can't stack a second one tall on the shelves above. So close to being perfect. Only need another inch or so wide and tall to make it work. Only the bottom drawer is usable in this case. Luckily, I typically only have 2 kegs full at a time, and this fridge gives me lots of convenient storage above and on the door. My only other complaint is that the fridge and freezer mode lock you into certain temperature ranges. I would love to be able to set this to 32F or even a bit lower like the Kimchi fridge, but it won't let you. Setting it as a freezer takes it all the way down to 5F or so. Otherwise it's nice and compact.

I purchased this as a garage freezer and I love it! Great storage options with multiple drawers, shelves, and even a couple of small shelves in the door. I love that I can store chicken, beef, and pork separately from seafood in the drawers with ice cream & pizzas on the shelves. Such a great product; I'd buy again in a heartbeat!

Great item!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Very spacious and easy to organize with the drawers. Beats digging threw a pit like a chest drawer. As we know, not everything is flat and uniform in size to enable perfect stacking in a freezer to prevent qitems falling over. Unlike standard standing freezers, items won't fall or roll of the shelves when opening the door as everything is enclosed in the drawers. With the design, it is not an eyesore that needs to be placed in the garage out of sight. It can placed in an open spot in the kitchen and blend in with the rest of the kitchen appliances. I'm hoping to purchase another soon to use as a fridge along side this one that is currently being used as a freezer.

The design is so sleek and modern and the freezer works perfectly. It's simple to use. Bigger than it looks in the photos, it's a nice size. Its got drawers in the bottom half, which I find very useful and easy to organize. And the delivery service was excellent. I've had many delivery nightmares in my life and this one won the spot for the best experience.

freezer has worked great after 1 year warranty expired. no problems until one morning. i lost everything in my freezer. followed the manual with no result. what our family discovered is that the door was not fully closed properly and the evaporator coil froze over with ice. thawed out evaporator, now freezer works great ! i wish the "door alarm" was louder. i still would purchase the product again.

Great Item!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I was in the need for a freezer for the garage and I didn't want to spend a lot of money and I wanted something with some features vs. a generic looking and basic "garage fridge." I found this item from searching online and thought it was the perfect size. I was also intrigued that it could either freeze or cool based on what I needed it to do. Lastly, it was stainless and will look good in my garage for years to come.

Sleek, Sexy, and Chilling.
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I bought this freezer to use in my garage to store bulk meat, fish, and poultry. It quickly turned into the only freezer we use for food, even with the added hassle of traveling to and from the garage to get items. It is sleek, sexy, and very very cold. I have it set to -5F and my bluebooth thermometer indicates the freezer maintains temps between -4 and -2F continuously, except for the defrost cycles where it hits 8F for a brief moment as it heats the evaporator core. Vacuum sealed meat I've had in there for months looks pristine and brand new still. Non-vacuum sealed meat looks great, with only the frost buildup from defrosting slightly on the trip from the store to home. I would buy it again without reservation.

really happy with buying two of them to have all freezer and all fridge. plenty of space and much better than my ge fridge with limited freezer space. othe reviews indicate that the holes fto reverse the door are not available. this is incorrect. a thin layer of plastic covers them, using a drill with low torque, you can easily pass them using the screws. they are very quite, i'm working next to them.

Perfect for what I use it for
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
Bought this for the specific purpose of being able to hold overflow of food being brought to us whilst dealing with upcoming surgery and subsequent recovery. Preferred vertical freezer over chest freezer both for ease of access to food and smallest footprint. This freezer was perfect in both respects. It is frost-free and EnergyStar rated, which are two other criteria I wanted in a freezer. Installation went fairly well, though the leveling was a little more difficult than it should be, in my opinion. I was pleasantly surprised at how quickly the freezer brought the temperature down to the set temperature - did not need nearly the time specified in the manual. Also, even though this freezer is in my basement, I did not want to listen to a lot of noise and the freezer delivers - could not even hear it 10 ft away. Bottom line - this freezer cost more than I wanted to spend but the vertical type and the small footprint were my top two criteria. It was far less expensive than other freezers meeting this criteria. So far it has worked great and I really like it. Plus, I also have the option, once the additional freezer space is no longer required, of switching to refrigerator mode and using it for storing drinks and snacks. Would I buy it again? Hell, yeah!

I had initially looked at buying a small chest freezer, but decided the upright with shelves would be a much wiser setup considering that in a chest, something would always end up on the bottom. I love the multiple drawers to divide types of frozen food. and the top shelves are easy to reach. The extra freezer space is great
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
i am very pleased with my upright freezer, however this is the second samsung appliance i have bought in the last few months in which the "packaging" is less than ideal. a sticker with bar code, s/n, etc was applied to the lower section of the side. it was nearly impossible to remove. i have a bad back and it was about 6" off the floor. i had to use wd40 and a scraper to get it off. something like this should peel off easily. on my refrigerator i still have bits of plastic around my doors where the covering cannot be removed. we had to remove the handles to get the protective covering off there. the fridge is very nice looking except for the plastic sticks out. something needs to be addressed with these 2 issues when the appliance is delivered.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
this is a state-of-the art upright, sleek and beautiful freezer that is like nothing else out there. kudos to the samsung designers and engineers! it belongs in your home and if you have space in your kitchen, it's perfect there. unfortunately, we had to put ours in the basement utility room but it sure glamorizes the space! the photos of the freezer don't do it justice, you have to actually see it up close. no wonder you can't find these in stock in retail appliance stores -- anyone with half a brain will buy this over an ugly chest freezer. we're so lucky we got one, and the delivery was super. only a moron would buy this for their garage .

Great fridge so far, It doesn't seem to come with a back plate to cove the internals, and the light doesn't reach all the way down to compartments

Good but Be Careful!!!
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
Love the fridge/frezer combo, size & style of this unit but my food has been ruined several times over the past year with the door not shutting properly, without any indication, and then shutting itself off or raising the temp settings instead of running harder to keep cold. Fix this and it would be an amazing product.

Not consistent… thaws food…
AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
Purchased this unit and it has malfunctioned and thawed food N= 3 times. The unit’s performance is not consistent. If you need a unit for long term food storage, I wouldn’t recommend buying this unit.

Not what I expected from Samsung. The units appear to be of poor quality.

Took just two years to die. Does not freeze anymore. Appliances used to last and last, I've never had a freezer that quit so soon.

After this last time I'm ready to take it outside & smash it with my tractor!! I wouldn't want to sell it off because it's trash!!! They have got to be paying for the good reviews!! We tell everyone we know to not buy from SAMSUNG..their customer service is trash..

Temperature is inaccurate, avoid if you need preci
AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
Temperature is not accurate, it is 5F warmer than what is set. I have sensitive medications (biologics) that need logging of temp. I set temp of frig at 34F, log temp thermometer says 38-39F, can't get temp to go lower than that, unless I switch to freezer mode.

Quit working just after a year!!!
AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
Bought this freezer less than one and a half years ago. 2 days ago I smelled something when I opened the door. Something electrical. 2 days later the freezer has quit freezing but the temp said 0 degrees and all of my food was thawed out!! So disappointed, I loved this freezer. I will never buy another samsung appliance again.

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
I bought two of these fridges- seals already gone, along with the other junk Samsung appliances I bought. If they last 3 years you hit the jackpot- I've spent 2 hours and transferred 4x trying to buy a new seal cant find one

Not a good product
AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
I bought about March 2023. It was out of order in September 2024. The temperature shown on control board was wrong. The temperature shown on the board was 34 degF which was a setting temperature. After unplugging power and connecting it, it shows real temp. 45 degF. But measured temp by our thermometer was over 55 degF. The temperature on the board was changed whenever resetting the refrigerator.

Purchased on Aug 7 2022 and its DEAD! No lights, No Cooling. Hard to have faith in this freezer to hold food to feed my family. A total waste of money.

Can't be added to smarthub
AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
It says that it's dongle ready, but apparently you can't add a dongle to use it on smart things? We bought these to add to SmartHub after a garage fridge failure. Disappointed that their information is apparently wrong, smidge of false advertising. Info for fridge/freezer: Convenience • Dongle Ready Chat: ProfileSEA Digital Messaging But the unit you are using does not have smart things to connect

A lemon but no one to complain to
AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
I bought one of these as a back up for large family gatherings at our summer home. My main fridge can't handle a crowd. It was very nice but small. So I purchased another last August. It had a broken hinge that was somehow rigged so that we didn't notice. We used it only for one month. This spring the door would not close tightly. Called for service and it was pointed out that the main hinge which is a large heavy strong part had been cracked. A person could not have done that and it was assumed that maybe it fell off the truck somehow. It was not in the carton upon delivery. So we waited for the part and a second appointment for the repair. Now a few months later it stopped working all together. Not even the light will go on. The warranty company who only comes to our Long Island area once per week on Tuesday came just to diagnose but could not because she could not get the power on. She tested my outlets and the connection to the power it not the problem. So after waiting two weeks for a repair appointment (I could not cancel a previous appointment the first Tueday after I called) the only thing she could do was schedule yet another appointment so she can order some parts that will allow her to just to diagnose the problem. I am sure then she will order parts, wait for parts to come in, and reschedule a repair. By the time the repair will be made I will have lost the entire peak season for guests. I called Samsung to see if they would replace it under the lemon law but all I get is a call center somewhere in Asia, maybe the Phillipeans but I am not sure. I am sure that they could not help me. Will they just string me along until the warranty runs out? Frustrating.

Questionable purchase
AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
Like the size and shape but stopped chilling in 2 years. Loss of functionality in 2 years is unacceptable for a expensive appliance. I lost everything that was in it. It's impossible to get them fixed because nobody want to work on them. Samsung stick to what your good at phones and tvs everything else.i have not been impressed with.

I bought two.
AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
but this time i was completely disappointed when i bought it and installed. i felt it while reverse the direction a freezer door... i wonder how they used only cheap materials like this. another problem is that i bought two...two... i know very well that plastic materials and machine assembly. it's job related. i was surprised that i had to make new thread in the plastic. it's plastic, so it gets loose easily. one more thing, i would like to samsung give the customer an option to choose left and right before purchasing. it's such a cheap product.. i was really shocked. well, i'm not rich, so i'll have to use the cheap one like this. no choice. if i win the lottery, i'll buy a good one.

waited months for this product. product looks great from the outside. however, it stopped working less than a year after purchase. lost goods when it went out. would not purchase this appliance again. beware if it stops working and you don’t wait for another backorder of the same product, you will be responsible for hauling away the nonworking product at your own expense.
