Samsung 23" Upright Freezer RZ11M7074SA

The slim, tall design fits easily into tight spaces like garages and narrow doorways. Multiple reviewers praise the narrow footprint combined with the upright format, which makes it much easier to access and organize items compared to chest freezers—nothing gets lost at the back.

Yes, this is a convertible model that allows you to switch between freezer and refrigerator modes depending on your needs. Many owners appreciate this flexibility for overflow storage or adapting to changing household requirements.

The unit features a combination of removable drawers and shelves, allowing flexible organization. Reviewers consistently highlight that the pull-out drawers make it easy to separate and find items quickly, and the drawers can be removed if you need additional shelf space.

Most reviewers report the unit operates very quietly, with only minimal humming sounds. One owner noted it produces just a small sound when you approach it to open the door, making it suitable for kitchens and garages where noise is a concern.

Multiple reviewers report that the freezer has stopped cooling or lost temperature control within 1–3 years of purchase, sometimes with false temperature readings on the display. This has resulted in significant food loss for several owners. A few also mention water leakage from the evaporator cover. These recurring failures are the primary concern across negative reviews.

The door can be reversed to open from either side, but Samsung recommends having a professional perform the swap to maintain the warranty. Some owners have successfully done it themselves, though the company does not encourage DIY reversal.

This model does not include smart home features like door-open alerts or remote temperature monitoring. One reviewer noted this as a missed opportunity, though the unit does have a basic alarm for when the door is left open and manual temperature control.

Some reviewers have reported that the actual internal temperature is significantly warmer than what the control board displays. One owner found the display showed 34°F while the actual temperature was over 55°F, and another noted a 5°F discrepancy. This is a concern for those storing temperature-sensitive items.
