Love the lights, so bright and clear

Love my new energy star fridge, absolutely love the led lighting, everything is so bright in there, my old ge fridge died, and I got another one, it’s almost the same missing another drawer than my old one, and side shelf’s are smaller ,but fridge is the same size, other than that , so happy to have it.

The refrigerator is a nice size, very spacious for our family of 5, and it looks great on the exterior in the white color. I like the side-by-side model and appreciate the push-button features on the freezer door, especially the filter life and temperature readings. The freezer makes ice quickly and dispenses two types of ice, cubes or crushed. I like the loud alarm system that is activated if the fridge or freezer door is left open too long. This'll help to prevent spoilage and/or frost occurences. My only reason for rating this model 4 out of 5 stars is I wish there were more shelves and the option for shelf organizers/dividers to allow for better organization within the unit. Presently, I have to put all items in bags together, without separation between fruit & vegetables or other items because the two shelves hold items in boxes and/or other containers. Also, the door shelve are not deep or wide enough to store much more than items the size of a medium ice pack or rolled package of sausage.

Love my new refrigerator

I've used my new refrigerator for a month now and am very happy with it. I've had no issues at all. The ice maker works well and there is plenty of room for all our food. The only thing negative would be that there is no deli bin for meats and cheeses. I will have to order one separately.

Well pleased with the performance of the fridge. Nice lighting, quite performance. Inside is laid out to meet a variety of shelf options. The only problem I see is there is no legs on the bottom so as you level fridge the wheels do not lock and when you open the door it actually pulls the unit from the wall. It is a problem that the only way you can correct it is to raise the front a little above level and then support the frame and raise the wheels away from the floor so that it is suspended from the floor. It is hard to believe that it has such a primitive of a design for today with the engineers involved with manufacturing. Would have been a five star if not for this flaw.

Not enough light in the freezer

The refrigerator section is wonderful: Lots of light, adjustable shelves, plenty of room. But the freezer has the ice storage in an awkward spot which blocks the light and takes up too much room in a section of the freezer that should be storage space.

Had to replace my 31 year old GE side by side. I am enjoying this new GE side by side. Looks really nice in my kitchen. Yes, I had to have white because my other appliances are white. Arranged to provide more room. Great features. Good interior lighting. Nice humidy crisper.

Love my new GE Side by Side Refrigerstor. There is ample space in both the fridge and freezer. Love that the filter is located at the top. Pleased that the fridge came in white, which I prefer over stainless. Love that I can set the actual temperatures. Perfect fit for my kitchen.

Missing deli drawer.

This is a good refrigerator for the price. We replaced our previous fridge with the same model with our home warranty. The shelves on the door are narrower. Also, no deli drawer. Otherwise, it has served us well.

I had to have this delivered twice to our house due to issues with the ice maker door. The second fridge worked out fine it was just a hassle to have to wait an additional two weeks and clean out the fridge...again.

I have owned GE appliances for close to 40 years. I have had excellent service from them and only had one problem with a refrigerator that was 18 years old. It was repairable but not cost effective. It was time for a more modern and energy efficient model. This refrigerator is much more energy efficient than my prior one along with much better lighting which is LED. The controls are on the front freezer door right above the water dispenser/ice maker so you don't need to even open the door to change settings. Seems like a winner so far.

What we wanted, but could be better

The GE refrigerator fits in with our other GE appliances. I bought an extra refrigerator door bin and will order another shelf. Both should have been part of the package. At times, after ice, the cooling motor sound is a bit louder than expected. We were told by appliance store that was normal. Time will tell.

After a number of calls to our honest repairman to keep a more expensive brand alive, he recommended GE and this model for both reliability and ease of repair when needed. This model is solid and well thought out, with fewer things to go wrong. It may not be an expensive brand, but it looks right at home with other expensive appliances, so we are happy the reasonable price and practicality

Almost a One-For-One Replacement

We completely redid our kitchen about 5 years ago from the walls out. We installed dark cherry cabinets, near white quartz countertops and decided to go with white appliances in part to make the room lighter and in part because we don't care for the cold look of stainless steel. Our 20-year-old GE Profile white side-by-side, built into the cabinets, failed recently. After some searching, we found that GE makes the same size side-by-side in white - it does not carry the Profile name. The new refrigerator has fewer shelves, but otherwise is functionally identical to the old one. The shelves from the old refrigerator fit in the new one so we are back to where we started. The ice maker in the old one never failed - we hope the new one does as well.

Loved my GE side by side which I had for 20 yrs, so went out and bought the new edition. One thing I miss is the 3rd drawer the older model had and the wine shelf. The light system in the new model is a definite upgrade tho.

Worse use of space of any refrigerator I’ve owned. It was delivered yesterday and I have already ordered extra shelves for the door and food storage. We had to buy this sight unseen but it looked like the same model we were replacing, believe me it’s not!

Disappointment in refrigerator replacement

The replacement (we had this model for 20 years and wanted the replacement that would fit in the space) was disappointing. It is missing the "deli bin" where cheeses and deli meats, etc were kept. There is no accessory listed for this model. We now have significantly less storage space in the same model!

Not as nice as my old GE Profile refrigerator. This refrigerator does not even have a meat/cheese drawer. Side door shelves are not as deep and do not hold as much. Front of door on outside is shiny and not the same as sides of refridgerator. Preference is for non shiny. Cheeper made than old refrigerator.

Refrigerator side door falls completely open with a big jolt. Have to hold it to stop from doing that. Need plastic holders for food in both freezer and refrigerator side.

Had to Return

We had to return it because it would not keep the correct temperature. After 20 hours of cooling we put food in and 6 hours later the meat was still no frozen and the same with the ice cream. Lost food and had store take it back.
