So far we are very happy with the GE profile side by side fridge. I paid a lot for my previous Jenn Air model and it was constantly broken. The Jenn Air ice maker never made ice since we purchased. This GE refrigerator makes so much ice. It’s so quiet too.

The refrigerator is super quiet, and quick at making ice. The outside is attractive and seems to match my other Profile appliances. Negative side is the handles are not steel, like my convection oven/ stove. Also the interior drawers have lots of play when opening and closing and came here with surface scratches on them. I previously had a Cafe refrigerator and was hoping the quality of the Profile would be closer to that of the Cafe.

The handles do not protrude out a lot, which prevents them from banging into things when the doors are swung open. It also allows for easier passage in front of it. There is a lot of room on the inside refrigerator door. I was able to purchase an additional shelf to install to increase my storage space.

We were limited in the existing space which is the reason we purchase this refrigerator as a fit exactly. The amenities are very good, space is adequate, I did have to order one more door shelf which I recently received and we are using. Seems to be a great product only wish we could’ve gotten it in bisque!

The 2 LED lights are fantastic in illuminating everything I am looking for.. I have another brand I moved to the garage that is missing a butter compartment , cheese drawer and hydrator drawer so this arrangement is a great addition of space. MY 28 YEAR OLD SIDE BY SIDE G.E. PROFILE WAS STILL WORKING. WATER AND ICE MAKER STILL WORKING AND IN THE TEXAS HEAT OF THE GARAGE FOR DECADES. Really like this new one.. hope it lasts. !!!

We purchased this refrigerator to match our existing GE Profile appliances and it matches perfectly. This size was selected to fit our cabinets and instillation was easy. We especially love the updated LED lights which makes everything brighter inside. The door shelves on the freezer are an improvement over our last GE refrigerator.

This slim fridge fits perfectly in our RV and surprisingly holds way more than it should. Everything stays cold, organized, and accessible. Wide or oversized dishes don’t always fit — but that’s expected in a compact fridge. The only downside (which is also a plus) is that it is electric only.

This is our first side-by-side refrigerator, and we’re really enjoying how easy it is to access all our food and items. It keeps my veggies and fruits surprisingly fresh, and I love the multiple ice options (crushed, cubed, etc.) along with the adjustable water temperature settings. Having so many compartments make it so much easier to keep everything organized, and overall, the refrigerator feels very spacious. I Love it!

I Love my GE Profile Refrigerator. It is very close to the one I bought in 2007. Unfortunately after my husband replaced just about everything that refrigerator would not cool down to 37 anymore. I was so happy to find this new one and went with the counter depth this time. The one thing I will miss & Loved to use and show off was the Fluid ounces or cup measurements fill. I got a kick out of showing people I had it set & could push the button & it would fill to my desired ounces or cup settings. Don't know why this awesome feature is not longer offered in any of the GE Refrigerators. There is a competitor who offers it but wasn't as good of shelving set up as in the GE Profile. The full size also changed the tip out freezer door shelves that I also love. That is still in the Counter depth one. Just received it today and haven't even put anything in it yet until the refrigerator & freezer are settled into the tempature settings

GE Profile ice maker needs improvement

The ice maker crusher blades/ motor stopped working after 2 years. The ice maker wheel to push ice is plastic and struggles to move ice and push it out. Frost is also formed inside the ice maker component. Will repairs cost more than purchasing a portable ice maker?? Serial MM 426166 (Model PZS22MSKKHSS)

This is a well designed, efficient and attractive refrigerator. It operates quietly. The ice machine functions well. The temperature control settings are easy to navigate and responsive. I appreciate that when the doors open they remain stationary rather than swinging backwards until they hit an obstruction. It compares favorably to our previous side-by-side refrigerator from Kitchen-Aid. I cannot speak to its reliability since I’ve only had it a month.

The GE Profile Refrigerator was just installed. After transferring the food from the 17 yr old KitchenAid that the GE replaces, it seems the freezer holds less, but the other side has more space. Long expired frozen food made adequate space which means better organization preventing hidden waste! It didn't take long for the side by side to cool. The unit is quiet and well lit. We might want to order an extra shelf for the door. After comparing other brands, this counter depth meets or exceeds our expectations. Will it last 17 years? Will we?

I love my GE Profile Side by Side Counter Depth Refrigerator WITHOUT the ice/water dispenser on the outside door. (Ice maker is in the freezer) It is over 20 years old. I was told it is not currently being offered on new model. Please bring back this option again on this model for those of us who do not want a dispenser on the exterior door. Thank you!

Best replacement for my previous counter depth Profile refrigerator. Shelves and bins configuration provide more storage space, but I do miss the metal beverage sorter on previous model. The handles are also different (so doesn't match other Profile appliances) and the box has a 'tilt' that seems unusual. Performance is a excellent.

Sound choice

Our space was tight, so purchased this refrigerator based largely on it's width and features. I have never used a side by side refrigerator/freezer before. Our old refrigerator had a bottom drawer freezer. I'm finding that I feel like I have less refrigerator space, but can more easily find things in the freezer. My only real complaint is that it is difficult to use the external ice feature without getting ice shavings or even cubes on the floor. I would have liked a taller space - so that my water bottle would fit under it. And I would like a bit more regularity in the fall of ice - sometimes it is one or two cubes, at others, it is more like a handful at once.

Had a 2 year old GE Profile Fridge...which they found un-repairable. Sounds pretty bad...except that when GE couldn't repair it (internal wiring issue), they actually replaced the entire unit for. no-charge. For that - I'm totally appreciative that they didn't leave me out a few thousand dollars. Fortunately mine was under warranty. (Might recommend extended warranty though)

The fridge is beautiful and clean and still somewhat empty. The ice maker leaks a little when the fridge door is closed. Weird how when I turn off the water in my sink, the fridge water line bumps, it didn't do that before. I think it's because of the way it was installed, not the fridge. The fridge is quiet except when the ice drops. My other Profile had 5 shelves in the door, this one only has 4. I was able to grab one from my old fridge, so I have 5 again.

Issue With Water Dispenser

This is second time purchasing this fridge, and both have had some issues with water dripping from the area of the water dispenser. Not sure if condensation from ice maker or freezer area, or water dispenser itself. Will keep an eye on it to see if it goes away eventually.

Simple and not high tech refrigerator. I love the idea of a door alarm that you can turn on or off. I love it because I frequently go in and forget to close it sometimes when I’m cooking and taking things out and putting things in. Easy to install water filter too!

Not a quiet fridge

The fridge and ice maker function fine. The LED lighting is really nice. Not really fond of the shelves - they take up more room than on our 20+ y/o GE fridge that this one replaces. My main complaint is about the noise. Not the occasional defrost or iceman noise, it's the constant gurgling/spurting sound when the refrigerator is running. It sounds like refrigerant squirting through the lines inside and maybe there's not enough insulation around them. We called for a repairman to evaluate and he said it's normal, and is, in fact, the refrigerant going through the lines. The sound is coming from about 5 ft up,near the back of the fridge. I'm considering taping some foam to the back to see if that makes it less obnoxious. We can hear this sound in the other room, 20 ft away. I really don't think GE would intentionally design and manufacture a product that makes this kind of noise.

I planned this purchase very carefully and the refrigerator is just what I wanted: the shelves are adjustable, the LED lighting is perfect, this model has a deli drawer. The only drawback is the room that the ice maker/water in door takes. I knew it would be intrusive but didn’t realize it would be this significant. No one in my area had this model to examine before purchase. I think a lot of people love that feature, but if I had it to do over again. I would special order a side by side with no in door feature, giving me a lot more freezer capacity.

We bought a GE Profile Refrigerator which had a 1year warranty on all parts of the refrigerator. The freezer LED light failed after 18 months and cannot be changed by the customer. An LED light is designed to work for 15 years or more. This light failed after 18 months, and I feel it should be covered under the warranty as a defect in materials.

I had an older model of this refrigerator which lasted 12 years. I liked it and felt I got my money's worth, so I bought the current model. GE made some improvements that I think made this a better refrigerator than the previous model. Specifically, they improved the ice maker, added glass shelves and plastic bins to the freezer, removed the soda can storage rack and added LED lighting to the refrigerator. I opted for the fingerprint resistant stainless steel finish and it does an excellent job of not showing the finger prints. That said, it doesn't match the SS finish on my other GE Profile appliances. It would have been nice to have some more lighting in the refrigerator especially towards the back, as it seems a little dark since the LED lights are more situated in the front, but that's a minor inconvenience.

I love this counter depth refrigerator. I prefer this side by side over my previous freezer on the bottom. I like the pull open wire like shelves in freezer door. Ample room in this product for two person household. This fingerprint resistant stainless steel product cleans easily using soft cloth, water and mild soap. Runs quietly. Drawers in fridge and freezer are good sizes.

This new refrigerator came with our newly built condo. It works great but my main complaint is that I would prefer a bigger one. My other complaint is that the ice maker, though it works great, takes up too much space in the freezer. My last one had the ice maker in the door, thus leaving the shelves in the freezer all the way to the top. But again, it works great! The ice maker makes ice quickly and comes out quickly too. Just not enough space for me.

We replaced the same refrigerator that was 20 years old with this new GE Profile. We love the lighting inside both the refrigerator and freezer parts, the adaptability of the shelves inside and on the doors, and how well the ice maker and water dispenser work. It does seem to have a little less room inside than our old refrigerator and one less drawer in the freezer which we miss. Otherwise, we are very pleased!

We replaced our existing GE refrigerator because there was a water drip in the door water dispenser and the ice cubes were freezing up inside the freezer compartment. From day one, there is a water drip in the door water dispenser albeit not a lot. The ice cubes are small which may be attributed to the fact that the flow of water is much slower than it should be according to the specifications of the refrigerator. We did not have this problem with our previous refrigerator. I tried placing a service call two days after we received the unit only to find out that the service person was on vacation and they couldn't get anybody for two weeks. I'm off to Arizona for a month and will deal with it when I get back. I checked yes on recommending this product as I expect the problems to be corrected.

There is one shelf in the refrigerator that's retractable allowing an item to be twice as tall to be placed there. The door shelves hold plenty. The freezer has cubby-like "shelves" on the door that tilt out. Ours was part of our home purchase. There was an issue with the ice maker and water dispenser. However, GE has been on top of it since we contacted them regarding the issue. Overall, it's a practical, attractive refrigerator.

Replaced another GE fridge that was 17 years old and still going strong but we wanted new appliances. Love the LED lighting inside, the control panel is well designed. Not a fan of the dripping water dispenser which by the way our old GE fridge did the same thing, its more than a drip or two after dispensing water. Not as deep as our prior fridge. Overall build quality seems very high which is why we bought GE again. Love how you can check how much water filter capacity is remaining on the digital display.

This is my second GE Profile side-by-side refrigerator. I purchased the first one in 2002 when our house was built so it lasted 19 years. The only thing wrong with the old one was that the icemaker broke. So we decided to purchase a new refrigerator. I wanted another side-by-side. I don't like that French door style due to the space that the icemaker takes up in the refrigerator compartment and the fact that frozen food is piled on top of itself, making it hard to find things. There are only two of us so I don't need a huge refrigerator. I looked at Kitchen Aid and GE. I decided on the GE again because the refrigerator shelves were adjustable and it fit better into the space. I have to say that while the design is very similar to the old one, GE has corrected and improved some of the shortcomings of the old design. Since there are LED lights, the top shelf is much more open and can hold many more large bottles. The bins all slide much easier and hold more, especially the produce and the meat bin. The freezer is much easier to organize with the two pullout bins. The outside is fingerprint proof which is a big plus. The overall appearance is much more contemporary and since this is counter depth, it looks built-in. It does make a noise that my other one didn't make. However, this is a plus. After dispensing ice, there is a motor that closes the flap to keep the freezer sealed. This was a problem with my old one as it aged. There are several things that could have been better. I don't understand why there is a large, sealed catch area under the cover on the dispenser area. There are no holes in the cover so water just sits on it. I removed the cover and placed a custom fitted sponge in the base. This absorbs drips and dries quickly. The icemaker bin with the auger is exactly the same as my old one. Over 19 years, I have replaced that auger at least four times. GE should have improved that design. The auger is made of plastic and over time it cracks. Pieces of the auger come out when dispensing ice. Finally, I don't like the shelf that has the front that slides back to supposedly place tall items. GE should just do away with that. I takes up more space and doesn't really provide any benefit. I kept the solid shelves from my previous GE and they fit. So I removed that front slide shelf and replaced it with one of the regular shelves. My husband would have liked the dispense area to be taller so his water bottle fit better but he is able to fill it without issue. Some previous reviews that I read talked about it being loud. I don't find that to be the case. It runs pretty quiet. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase. I just hope it lasts at least 19 years!

Needed a counter depth

It was just installed today thus time will tell about performance and quality. We had a 25 cubic foot side by side profile in a kitchen that was designed for a counter depth unit. The replaced unit was 19 years old and still working but the counter depth unit makes the area look and feel so much larger. Satisfied with the new look.

This GE Profile refrigerator replaced my 15 year old GE Monogram refrigerator. The Monogram gave us a lot of trouble, icing up the fridge wall nearest the freezer. In spite of this, I decided to stay with the GE brand because I do like the interior configuration. So far, I am very pleased with the functioning. Another improvement is that upper lighting does not interfere with the storage space as in the past.

Only had it a week, but we really like this refrigerator. Wish the display had been backlit so it could be seen and used in low light. We use the display light, but you still can't read this display in low light conditions. In the photo, there's actually a light from the window across the display.

It's only been two weeks but so far so good. Ice and water through the door are laid out well as are the shelves. The freezer side, when it's active, is louder than any of our previous fridges (none GE) and can be heard from the adjacent rooms. Distracting but not annoying.

Overall, it’s a good fridge. But the freezer design is poor. The drawers are angled so you can fit almost nothing in them. Really glad I kept my old fridge as well, strictly for the freezer space or I’d never have enough space. I should specify that I did the countertop depth option so it didn’t stick out in my kitchen. The fridge side is great. Lots of space, although I still haven’t figured out what the very bottom slim holder on the door could possibly hold.

I had to readjust door because delivery person (new home) left one door 1/4 in below other door. Then I found out the door that adjusts when level with other door allowed the roller on the bottom of the door to fall below the hard plastic piece that stops the door from closing while getting things out of the refrigerator.

My first GE profile lasted 28 years and I was very pleased with it, so I decided to get another. Overall it is about the same model, however there are a couple of differences that you should be made aware of. This refrigerator goes into a cabinet so it is a tight fit. The new fridge does not have rear leveling legs?? So getting it into the cabinet with equal reveal in the opening is not a possibility. Secondly this model does not come with hinge stops so I can adjust the doors as to not hit the cabinets beside it . This is very minor items, but what I paid for this fridge and it being the profile model and not the standard GE I would’ve assumed (yes I know what assuming means) that it would have the same base features as the old one it replaced

Pros: ice maker keeps up well; cooling for both the refrigerator and the freezer works very well; clean/sleek exterior door design. Springs randomly fell out of water and ice dispenser paddle making the seal for the icecube shoot gapped causing excessive frost build up. also the missing spring causes water to drip when you're done dispensing water. I've replaced the solenoid valves or water comes into the refrigerator twice. at least I got a free solenoid valve because the second one failed within a year of the first one.

Refrigerator seems to work well but shelf organization is not optimal in our opinion. Still learning how to optimize storage space with products we use. Biggest issue is that the refrigerator door doesn't close unless you really push it. Otherwise, it closes about half-way and then falls back open. We find ourselves turning around and running into a door we thought was closed.

This refrigerator is really sleek and nice looking, and it goes well in a kitchen with the cabinet depth. However, looks aside, there is one glaring issue with it. The ice maker is a problem and for us, consistently goes out. I have had to fix this thing twice and currently looking at fixing it a third time in the last two years. I honestly have not had this much of an issue with ice makers in any other refrigerator that I’ve ever owned and I’m concerned it is an engineering fault. I could be wrong, this isn’t my expertise, but I would not get another one based solely on this experience.

Our ice maker rarely wants to dispense crushed ice. We followed the instructions for making sure everything is installed properly, but it's still problematic. We have to regularly remove the ice tray, remove random ice cubes that have fallen where they're not supposed to be, then reinstall the ice tray. That usually works for a few uses before it stops working again.

The unit is good looking and functional. However, the freezer size is relatively small and the ice maker is slow. The seal is tighter on the freezer door than the other one, so it looks like the door is not fully closed. Lots of plastic in the frig thinner than my previous Profile side by side.

We just received this refrigerator that we got to replace another manufacturer's side by side counter depth refrigerator that died after 7 years. We chose GE because at our previous house we had a 19 year old GE Profile refrigerator that was still running strong when we moved. This is a nice refrigerator except it does not have easy manual access to the ice in the ice bin. Our refrigerator is "built in" in that there is a wall to its left side which allows the freezer door to open about 90 degrees. Unfortunately, in order to access the ice in the ice bin you must pull out the bin some distance which requires the freezer door to open wider than 90 degrees so we have had to pull the refrigerator out about 6 inches so the door clears the wall. In addition, if we ever want to remove the bin, we are going to have to pull the refrigerator all of the way out into the kitchen. The old GE refrigerator we had the bin had like a front flap to manually pull out ice cubes so from the pictures I thought this one would be like that but it isn't and even though there was a wall in that kitchen, the bin could be pulled out without it being an issue. Since we live in Hawaii and it took two months to get this refrigerator, I can't really return it and go without a refrigerator again. So, it is a nice refrigerator but just be careful as to your kitchen layout and the room available for the doors to open and understand it is not easy access to ice in the bin.

Within a month we've had 2 service calls for door misalignment. No leveling adjustment on the rear casters. Interior space has restrictions. An additional door compartment should be provided. Wire baskets on freezer door are very small. Ice maker works well. Controls are easy to use. Interior lighting is very effective. Unit is very quiet.

Refrigerator is adequate. A couple of design comments: please make the ice and water dispenser able to accommodate Yeti-type water containers. It is quite short and difficult to get even tall glasses fully below the water dispenser. Please also make the front and back of the refrigerator wheeled and adjustable. It rests at an angle. This is also a noisy machine. Makes a lot of noises that take some getting used to.

We purchased this GE Profile counter depth side by side to replace our 16 year old same model. While the interior has improved (love the LED lighting, redesigned interior walls for more shelf room in fridge and glass shelves in freezer), the exterior does not feel as solid quality wise. Also, it is very noisy at times including a lot of "knocking" and "popping" from inside that we never had with our old unit. Ironically, the "fingerprint resistant" stainless seems to show prints and streaks more than our old model. It does cool well. I'm a very agreeable person and embrace change, so it's rare for me to rate something as "Average." Given the price of this unit and my long time experience with this model, it seems fair to share my perspective.

Very nice unit with two smallish issues that could be improved..... 1) the unit rolls so easily that it moves sometimes when you open or close the door. 2) The door has a fully open and half open detent. The half open detent is so aggressive that a gentle push to close the door is sometime not successful and the door returns to half open.

This is a horribly designed fridge, and I would not recommend it to anyone. The top retractable shelf is the biggest problem because it does not have a locking feature and is easily bumped and moves, causing anything that is on that part of the shelf to come crashing down to the floor. Be careful with your review, as well, because GE censors your reviews.

We’ve had this fridge for almost 5 years now, and have been unhappy several features for some time now. The spiral mechanism that dispenses the ice in the ice maker is made of plastic and that plastic cracked. Thank goodness we noticed when it dispensed several pieces of broken plastic. Now we have an ice dispenser that works incredibly inefficiently since ice is not being pushed out correctly. Also, this fridge can be so loud. The back panel of the freezer presses onto the fan. When the fan comes on there is an annoying hum. Would definitely consider a different brand based on my experiences.

Owned this refrigerator for about 1.5 years now. Overall it seems to work fine, no special frills or features. Looks nice. Biggest gripes is the water filter replacements are expensive and seem to light on for replacement exactly at 6 months whether you use them a lot or not. Also LED interior lights stopped working already, not sure why it’s not even that old. But it keeps the food cool, unsure if I would get another one based on my experience.

GE Refrigerator Model # PZS22MYKFS was delivered and installed yesterday. Item 1 below is a major concern. 1. I am very unhappy with the extra height on the top of the doors. The refrigerator door cutout looks weird from the side. And, the view of the refrigerator from the front hides the bottom of my beautiful Tuscan Cabinets. The new model design is a "POOR" updated version of my prior GE Profile Refrigerator Model # PSC23NSTSS. 2. Refrigerator bins are difficult to remove and clean, even with door fully open. 3. Ice Bin is difficult to use and clean. 4. Slight water drips after water dispenser is used. 5. Dark Charcoal Grey Case is ok; but, I prefer a Black Case. 6. The door handles are sleek and ok; but, I really liked the rounded door handles.

Disappointed with this fridge. After using the crushed ice feature the freezer started acting up. The ice maker overflowed dumping ice out the back of the ice maker. Then there was frost buildup in the freezer section. Then the freezer rose to 8 degrees and stayed there. And the fridge got loud seemingly trying to deal with the situation. I turned off the fridge at the breaker, then turned it back on a little while later and the loudness seemed to go away. Still having frost buildup problems so I’ve scheduled a service call. Hope it’s just a minor thing.

It rolls back and forth too easily when you open and close the doors. Needs a lock on the wheels. Going to try door stops. The user maudlin is difficult to use. Covers too many variations of models so you are not what applies to your model. Didn’t come with water filter bypass plug. Have to call to get one (supposedly free). Shelves took a lot of finagling to get the to work as they should, hanging up and sliding all the way out unintentionally. Icemaker cut off switch very difficult to get too. Would not have bought if a model had been available to examine in the store. Warranty unacceptably short for what you pay.

The refrigerator came with the new house. It must have been dropped on the right rear corner because it either tilts side to side and backward if all four wheels are on the floor or if adjusted so it’s straight can be rocked back and forth from the front left to the right rear. Other than that, the ice dispenser drips and the tray needs to be emptied daily.

Noisier than expected

One of the main reasons for purchasing this refrigerator was quiet operation. WE have had several service calls over the last 6 months to deal with a noise that has developed from the freezer. The service tech has done his best and I have no complaint with them. The noise keeps returning. My guess is it's a design issue. It costs too much money for this type of performance.

I called for service and it will take almost two weeks for an appointment. Of course my food will expire under these conditions.

The refrigerator is okay. However there is no way to set the water temperature to cold without freezing the food inside the fridge. The freezer side of the door is too skinny that I have to buy minimum grocery’s just to make sure that my door of the freezer closes properly. The fridge side is also very narrow that I cannot even put fruits inside of it. Honestly we are a family of 4. I have two kids and they eat. My family comes by the house every weekend and I have to keenrunning to the store for something to cook for them because the fridge is too small. My kids love to eat fruits and there is not enough room for fruits. I don’t have room for left overs to go inside the fridge and than my husband likes to eat different varieties of meat and he likes to keep them on hand but than again there is not enough room.

Worst fridge ever!

I’ve had nothing but problems with this fridge. The water dispenser just leaks on its own. Had GE look at it multiple and replaced parts several times to tell me well we can’t do anything about it except have our repair guys look at it again and follow what the engineers tell them to do. Finally had it replaced only to get another bad fridge that makes constant high pitched noise that makes it difficult to sit down and relax in the open floor plan. I wish I could get rid of this fridge. I did not pick it. It came with the house. I will not recommend a GE fridge to anyone!

Had a whole set of ge profile appliances for 6 years. Microwave has been repaired multiple times. Fridge broke after only 6 years and would cost more to repair so what do you do. In order to keep family of appliances reordered new fridge to match. It doesn’t. Setup is completely different with new fridge and honestly not for the better. Top shelf has less space due to new water filter setup and a huge tunnel running across top. Unit is also smaller in height by about 2” to 3” which also makes a difference in space. No beverage center available anymore. Freezer definitely different with ice storage again not for the better. Handles don’t match old version(s). To top everything off not as many options on digital screen with cups of water etc…. Paying more for less. Only hope I have is it lasts longer then the last one but only time will tell. Probably should have replaced everything with a different brand

Would never purchase this refrigerator again.Since we purchased this in 2019 we have had to Replace the freezer unit twice, three drawers and the handles twice. For the money they charge you would think that the quality will be better.

We like the style and capacity; however, the computer went out in ~6 months and now the icemaker isn't working at month 11. It makes a lot of noise when cooling, so we fear it isn't going to have a long useful life.

Our first GE profile refrig was gonged from the start. After repeated complaints to our dealer, a GE Service Specialist confirmed my suspicions that this refrig was “dangerous.” It was replaced with the same refrig but new model # and the second one is great!

Water dispenser flow is slowwwwww

It’s good to have a water dispenser that dispenses clean water without splashing water into your face just like our old Samsung refrigerator. So I am glad when I tried this water dispenser from this refrigerator because it dispenses water gently. But after a few tries I found out it’s too gentle where it takes five minutes just to fill up the water Reservoir of my Keurig coffee machine. I think this is a manufacturing defect. We’ll soon find out.

Small, not suitable for larger items

This is the refrigerator that came from the builder with my new home, and I had no choice in the matter. This may simply be what you get with side-by-side style refrigerators, but it seems awfully small inside, especially the freezer. A substantial volume of the freezer side is taken up with the ice maker and in-door water/ice dispenser. You can forget about going to the warehouse store and stocking up on larger items because they won't fit. That means that family-sized frozen lasagna, or that 8-lb box of frozen burger patties, or the big box of corn dogs won't fit. On the refrigerator side, don't plan on being able to fit a full slab of ribs, or a half-sheet cake, or that chicken street taco kit that comes on a long and skinny tray. You won't be able to fit a frozen turkey in the freezer, and if you do buy a frozen turkey, it'll be a tight squeeze to defrost on the refrigerator side. The narrowness of the refrigerator side also means that stuff tends to get lost in the back. Anyway, if I had my preference I'd go with french door and bottom pull-out freezer any day of the week. The ability to use the full width allows you the flexibility to store larger items, and who wants to go shopping with a tape measure to figure out if the item you're looking at is going to fit. As a family of 5, this refrigerator isn't suitable on it's own - we rely heavily on a spare garage refrigerator/freezer that are wider. With just this refrigerator we'd have to plan on grocery shopping every couple of days, and not being able to buy the value-sized items. Also - if you want filtered water & ice, you need to budget for buying the pricey GE-branded water filters 2-3 times per year, because the XWFE water filter is not backward-compatible with the less expensive XWF filter.

Too noisy

While at a friends home who has this exact same refrigerator as we do we noticed a huge difference. Ours runs much louder than theirs. Ours noise level is loud enough that we can be disturbed by it in our kitchen and can hear it even upstairs. Very disappointed.

Holds very little

This came with our new house and I was very disappointed. It barely holds anything. Poorly designed in my estimation. Have had the 3 door French style for years with large fridge on top and freezer drawer on bottom. Wanted the builder to let me bring my fridge to new house but couldn’t. Holds no big platters etc and has a bar below one of the small shelves which makes it even harder to use that shelf.

Loud and unattractive.

The doors and wheels squeak terribly, not to mention regular noises that can be heard through the house around the clock. You'll be cleaning the handles everyday due to fingerprints. This is in a new construction home, so I didn't seek out the product. I'd like to replace with an upgrade.

I bought it about two years to replace a old GE profile refrigerator which has working well for more then 20 years, but this GE profile is terrible all plastic ware: door bin, vegetable bin, all crack fall apart within two years.

The finish on this refrigerator is terrible. It’s impossible to keep clean and the stainless steel is pitting on 1 door and both handles. We only have used soap and water as per GE instructions.
