Perfect for my need

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This refrigerator seems pricey for its size but I would only trust American brands when it comes to appliances. This refrigerator looks really nice and does the work.

Excellent fridge for all your extras!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Purchased the black model and placed in the garage. Used primarily for beverages in cans and bottles, as well as snacks like cheeses and yogurts. Cranberry juice jugs and salsa jars in the door. I’ve implemented four of the 10 can organization trays as well as a 15 beverage automatic feed tray. Lots of room leftover. Freezer has lots of room. Of course this isn’t a full size, so you know what you’re getting, but pretty impressive all you can fit and it seems as if it barely has to run. Very quiet operation. I’ve had a smaller fridge/freezer combo, same manufacturer, since 2010, so I stay loyal to well made products-this one is another solidly built fridge. Not sure what else to say to y’all-if you need a good fridge this size then don’t look any further.

Bought this a couple months ago for our small loft. (Upstairs in our Daughters home) It is AWESOME! The capacity for the size is great. And the freezer fits more than we thought. We have the stainless look. Very easy to keep clean.

Great for Solar Sytems

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Fridge works great at the suggested settings but the best part foe us is we have a cottage off grid and it draws very little power for a fridge, big difference from years past. Helps that it is garage ready as well.

Compact Fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We like the size of the fridge. The freezer holds enough for two people as a garage fridge. The height to get drinks is a little lower but easy to grab when working in the yard. We did have to turn up the setting to high (above recommended) for food safety temps. We bought fridge thermometers, one for the freezer and fridge. Both are holding to desired temperatures. It is a great size for an extra fridge or an apartment if you live alone. The inside is well designed- perfect!

The 10 Cu. foot garage ready fridge is just the right size! It fits perfectly in our garage alcove space. It runs very quietly, and the cooling works really well. The perfect size fridge/freezer combo. It comes in especially handy when we are hosting family get togethers, its nice to have a spot for overflow food and drinks!

Good little frige.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

You can fit more than you think in it. Works fine. No problems except the drawers and door bins are a bit flimsy so you have to be careful. I dropped a gallon of water on the door bin and it shattered to pieces and replacement parts are insanely expensive. The fridge part is a little short so you have to bend down more than your used to doing. But overall im happy with it.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I needed a basic, dependable small refrigerator for my apartment. It’s not fancy but keeps the fridge and freezer at a very nice temperature. I have it set at the recommended. It’s doing the job as advertised and hoping it lives up to the Frigidaire name and lasts a good many years.

The refrigerator is much roomier than I expected for the small space I have fot it. Decent apartment size/2nd fridge

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Good interior space (refrigerator & freezer) for its size. Would be better if vented in the front vs the rear, as rear venting requires a 3" gap on the sides and top for air circulation which can be problematic for small spaces, for which this unit was designed(?) to be used.

Poosie · Oct 9, 2024

Small but Functional

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

This freezer's cubic feet is larger than other refrigerators of this size (compact). The larger freezer takes away from the refrigerator cubic feet. I would prefer one large crisper draw than two small ones because there is significant gap between the draws, which I could use for long vegetables like celery. Due to the online reviews (freezer defrosting and draining in the fridge), I bought a 5 year warranty. Unfortunately, don't have many options as my kitchen is too small to get anything else. Hopefully this fridge lasts as long as the one I threw out, which lasted 30 years. Otherwise, I'm satisfied with this fridge. (Fingers crossed!)

Can't go wrong, works perfectly.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

So far so good, it works perfectly, very roomy interior for its size and it's very quiet. Bought this refrigerator to replace a Frigidaire refrigerator that was originally bought by my grandmother over 45 years ago, she gave it to my mom and my mom gave it to me. Couldn't have the decades old Frigidaire repaired because there are no parts for it any longer. Grandma and mom have always brought Frigidaire Kitchen Appliances and they have lasted longer than most marriages and most cars lol. So, here's to decades of worry free ownership of my first brand new Frigidaire Kitchen Appliance.

It's fine. It's a fridge. It doesn't have any frills. Frigidaire was more expensive than the other brands sold at this compact/apartment size, so I'm hoping going with a reputable brand pays off over time.

Exactly what I wanted

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I needed a small second fridge and this one is perfect! It is not a dorm fridge. It's a regular fridge with a separate freezer section on top. There a sort of spring on the doors that stops them several inches out if you don't push hard enough. A good solution to the almost closed door letting everything warm up. It's also very cute! I can rest my chin on it (I'm 5'6")!

Slim, stylish, space saver

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I have downsized the refrigerator to this model considering it is just for myself. The old one by also Frigidaire lasted 13 years, and wanted to have the same brand. Glad to find a little smaller size (narrower in width and depth by a few inches) in Black. Very happy with quiet, slim, stylish without handles. The temperature control is efficient and simple. The only esthetic request for the future is that when you touch the surface, the finger/hand marks are shown, and have to clean frequently. Otherwise very happy and recommend.

So far so good after 4 weeks my fridge is running well and quiet. One recent development is the freezer door is jamming a bit and doesn’t close smoothly. Could be misaligned after I had to pull the unit out and put it back in. My only gripe is that the freezer compartment is too tall for me. It’s more than one third the height of the fridge which forces me to bend down very low to get into the fridge compartment because I’m 6 feet tall.

Fl hostess · Mar 15, 2023

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I received my fridge two weeks ago and so far so good it’s running quietly and cools well. My only gripe with this and similar small apartment refrigerators is that the freezer section is too large, about 30% of the overall height. I’m 6 foot tall and have to bend down low to get into the refrigerator compartment. Lastly the freezer door was not centered well at the factory and hangs 1/8” too the left of the refrigerator door.

Brand Matters....

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We've had several smaller 'auxiliary' refrigerators, for extra freezer space and primarily beverages, from various manufacturers, but we were very happy to find that FRIGIDAIRE had the size we needed for a small space. The design was important because the others we have had had bulky construction, exterior rear coils, etc., whereas our new Frigidaire is of smarter, more economical design and actually makes the overall room that its in more functional. Our kitchen appliances are also Frigidaire, and we have been very pleased with the design and function of these appliances.

We are so very pleased with the size of the freezer! All other apartment sized refrigerator/freezers had such small freezer space. We are more than happy with it. One small downside is the temp control only lets you have 3 options., nothing between.

Nice little refrigerator that fits in a small space!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We hadn't planned on purchasing a new refrigerator. But when the old one goes, it's time. We do have a very small kitchen so finding one to fit isn't always easy. Fortunately, the appliance store where we went had one in stock. They took the old one, brought in the new one, and we're good. We actually like this one better than our old one because the freezer is larger. The shelves on the refrigerator door are larger and hold more. And the shelves are all glass, including the one in the freezer. It's quite and runs well. And of course our bonus is the fantastic appliance store where we purchased it. They offer 5 star service!

Replacement for Camper Fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought this refrigerator to replace our camper fridge when it finally went out. It fit exactly into the space where the old fridge went without having to make modifications. There was a space between the freezer and fridge that is white, but in the pic on the website was shown to be black. It does look strange, but it is only aesthetics and has nothing to do with performance. Since the fridge is black, fingerprints show up pretty easily. Other than these two small things, we are happy with our purchase. The fridge has a lot more space and it cools and freezes well. We’ve had this refrigerator for about a month, and so far it is running well.

EanL · Sep 27, 2022

a suggestion

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

When you're getting the fridfge ready to ship, It takes the same effort to put the two glass shelves right next to each other (as mine came from the factory) or at a logical distance, more or less the logical, standard height they would be used at. You may argue that customers can easily change that, and you'd be wrong. The door needs to open at a 120 degree angle for that. Compact, apartment fridges fit in spaces where the door will only open 70 or 80 degrees. You might think we can figure this out before we put the fridge in its definitive place, but because fridges are replaced after many years, we forget this and don't!

mlsc7416 · Sep 19, 2022

Great little fridge but disproportionately sized between freezer and fresh food space

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

The refrigerator is sturdy and attractive and provides a lot of storage space for an apartment-sized fridge, especially the freezer section. There are also several shelves on the doors for additional storage, including a lower shelf in the fresh food section which holds gallon-size containers. The only drawback is that the freezer space is so abundant that there is not as much space as I'm accustomed to in the fresh food section. If this refrigerator were only 6" taller as my 20-year-old Kenmore fridge was, that would have gone a long way toward providing sufficient space for non-frozen food and beverage items.

We made an excellent choice in this purchase as a secondary smaller refrigerator for our family room. It's size is adequate to fit our needs without taking up too much space. We like the fact that it is a full function refrigerator//freezer. It runs so quietly that we hardly notice when it is running. We have been happy with our other Frigidaire appliances in the past and were happy to buy this brand again.

Great Small Fridge

We purchased this a few weeks ago to replace our small basement fridge. We are super impressed with the amount of space inside for its small size. It is physically the same size as our old one, but way more cubic feet of space inside.

Good for a Spare Fridge

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Got this as an indoor spare fridge to fit in a small space. We've had it for 5 months so far, and no problems yet. Just your basic fridge/freezer, enough space to handle overflow and drinks.

Love the size of this refrigerator. Purchased to use an a spare refrigerator to hold all the beverages we keep in the main refrigerator. This has freed up a lot of space in the other. It will also come in handy when doing holiday cooking and need more refrigerator space. Love the fact that it is frost free.

The refrigerator/freezer is the perfect size; it supplements our full size fridge. This good looking appliance serves as our wine cooler and is doing an outstanding job. We especially like the frost free freezer which saves lots of time and labor.

Nice smaller refrigerator with the option of changing the door swing.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I wanted a black color. I wanted it to fit without disturbing the features of the cabinetry that is fine and lovely. It’s a bit smaller than the one I replaced it with, but I needed it quickly and it came in black. Case closed and I have cold groceries. I grew up with Fridgidaire. You have never let us down!!! I needed the option of the swing of the door.

Excellent spare refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

My main refrigerator went out and needed repair. You can live without many kitchen appliances, but it is very diffuicult to live without a refrigerator. Appliance repair shop were all backed up. Luckily my friend had a extra refrigerator we used. Therefore, I decided that it would be nice if we had a spare refrigerator, so we did some research and decided on the Frigidaire 10.1 Cu. Ft. Top Freezer Apartment-Size Refrigerator. We have had no issues so far, and we keep it in the garage and currently use it for keep drinks cold and the freezer for items that we use frequently. We also have a standup freezer in the garage. Great buy!!!

Works great!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I purchased this fridge for the mancave and for extra stuff that I can't fit in my main fridge, which is tiny (smaller than this one!). It works like a charm and I love the way it opens - no obnoxious handles sticking out, just grooves to grab hold of and pull. It fits easily through doorways and was a breeze to get to its final space. Prep was easy - just peel off the protective plastic/tape and plug it in! There are a couple spots that the plastic got stuck and seems impossible to get out, but it's not a bother. If someone happens to see it and pull at it, I wish them well on getting it out!

Small but just what we needed!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This little fridge has sturdy glass shelves that do not now when fully loaded. The built in handles keep the profile streamlined. It was installed in a 1950s kitchen and opens onto a passage way. Getting the right fit was really important for functionality. The light is nice and bright and the smooth exterior is so much easier to clean than textured ones. Keeps temperatures just right in fridge and freezer.

I have a very small galley kitchen and need a fridge with 26” depth. I had one that stopped working, made by another company, & decided to go with the Frigidaire as replacement. So glad I did! This fridge is SO much better!! It is roomier, even though it is the same size as the other fridge was, and is definitely better made! I love it! The only thing I could ask for would be if Frigidaire made a fridge that was this small depth, but wider. I am definitely sticking with Frigidaire!!

works well

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I bought this a month ago to replace my old 9.6 cu ft refrigerator. So for me everything about this was a step up. I appreciate the small amount of extra space. It was such a gift to find a slightly larger fridge that fits into the limited space my apt offers. I like having 2 veggie drawers so i don't lose things in the bottom of the one big one, like my old fridge. And the bottom shelf on the door that fits wine bottles, and would fit a gallon of milk (if i drank milk). I do miss having a smaller shelf designated for things like butter -- but i'll adapt. It's also so much quieter than my old fridge. the back is enclosed, so that probably muffles the noise. It does make noise -- it's a machine, so it has to make some noise. But the first time i plugged it in, i had to check that it was working because my old fridge was so much louder. All in all -- it's working out and I'm happy to have it. i have only had it for a month, so here's hoping it keeps on working!

I love that it is shorter than a "standard" fridge, so I can easily keep the top clean. It is also easy to pull out and clean behind. I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a small, practical fridge!

Simple, Basic Apartment Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

If you live in a Manhattan sized apartment, this is the way to go. The width of this unit was the deciding factor, with the refrigerator door open it still was under 24" (23 3/4"). I agonized over this model vs the 11.6 cu. ft. model and went with the smaller one because my fridge is really never that full. Having said that, my old 11.6 cu. ft GE that broke - I chose the smaller size, the difference is noticeable and it definitely feels more cramped so I somehow regret not getting the larger one. Note, the larger one is deeper than countertop depths. So do your homework first. The larger one is obviously more money. Other than that, very basic, but for most people that's all you need. Would have preferred a knob in the fridge to control temperature settings, but most new fridges come with preset push button tabs. Bottom line - good value.

Mhudsonyards06 · Feb 21, 2020

good for small space

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I've had this refrigerator for a month. It is wonderfully quiet, and the temperature is fine. I had few choices because of dimension limits, and this fits perfectly. The fridge portion is a little smaller (and freezer portion a little larger) than I expected, but it is more than adequate for my needs. I don't like the bottom door shelf, however, because its too deep and takes up more space from the bottom shelf.

I love the clean bold design of the smooth white surface. This fridge also has well designed door compartments that are spaced perfectly for maximum compact storage. The best part is that it matches perfectly with all my other Frigidaire appliances.

Quiet, functional

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

What I like best is the fridge is very quiet and the size fits my apartment kitchen well. Two design complaints: First, the freezer compartment is too large, coming halfway down, which makes getting into the refrigerator awkward -- you have to bend over or squat to reach things. Second, the fruit and vegetable containers don't slide out; you have to pull and joggle them, and when you pull the veg container out it rubs against the rubber door seal unless the door is wide open. This is just poor design.

Compact, Quiet, Clean

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We were looking for a smaller fridge for our new apartment and didn't find a lot of options. This fridge seemed decently reviewed and was at a more reasonable price point than other models. Installation was easy and the fridge fits well in our space. It is not as noisy as past fridges we've had, but still gives off some noise. My only note - be careful of the bottom produce drawers. I pulled one out at a slight angle and it caught on the other drawer and cracked slightly on one corner.

Clean and simple earns five stars in my opinion

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

The new fridge looks great and works just fine. The simple things like shelves and drawers are just what you want. The door opens and shuts with a secure motion, so you can't really leave the door open by accident. No excess frills like a wifi to tell Alexi when I am out of taco sauce. Really does anyone actually use that sort of thing?

Meets my needs

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I searched and searched for a good refrigerator that would fit the limited space in my guest house. My new Frigidaire met all my requirements. It is attractive, quiet and holds all the frozen food, veggies, fruit and beverages that I need. I keep it fully stocked and when I retrieve an item it is fresh and at the correct temperature.

Nice looking fridge with glass shelves and a freezer shelf! Good value for the price. (other comparable units have wire shelves and no freezer shelf in this size) Door was easy to swap and was happy to see the extra screw plugs.

This is an amazing small refridgerator. It holds a lot more than you think it would. Temperature remains perfect. Freezer is roomy. Very easy to roll out to clean behind it. Best feature: Very Quiet!

Reliable, practical refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

It's been a month since I owed this refrigerator and no complaints so far. Purposeful. Quiet. Efficient. Exterior: Briefly getting warm (which is norm during compressor cycle), but not over heating. Interior: Both freezer and fridge serve its purpose well, i.e. keep things frozen and cold respectfully. No frost anywhere. Plenty of space to store things and the freezer is a decent size. Door accommodates 2 liter bottles standing up. Crisper drawers prolong the freshness of stored produce.

Perfect For A Compact Kitchen!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This compact refrigerator has many of the features of the "big boys" and perfect if your kitchen will only accommodate a compact refrigerator. Freezer is keeping my favorite gelato at perfect temperature while the crisper drawer keeps the veggies fresh. After extensive research, I landed on this Frigidaire and couldn't be more pleased.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I purchased this refrigerator as a replacement for the one in my 5th wheel RV. It was exactly the same size to fit in the existing opening.. It was the perfect solution to my problem and now I have a more efficient refrigerator at 1/3 the price of a new RV model. It looks great and no one would ever know it was not "factory installed"

when you have bottles inside the door tray you lose 6 or 7 inches of space on the shelf .Also, the crisper bins white strip (humidity control bar) was only fastened with a simple piece of foam on each end. The strip fell out so now I cannot use the control bar at all. The bins are open and humidity cannot be controlled

Runs well but bolts to reverse doors are stuck

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

The fridge itself is quiet and runs efficiently. But I wanted to reverse the way the doors open, and some of the bolts are so stuck or tight that I just couldn’t do it. It even broke the tip of my screwdriver. I was really looking forward to having the doors open the right way for my space, especially for how much I paid for this tiny fridge.

dan1o · Feb 6, 2023

correction about reversing the door

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Earlier I wrote a review that the door is not reversible, and many others have said that too. I actually found out how to reverse it. The instructions in the manual are wrong. The manual says to remove the top door pin with a screwdriver. It looks like it is not removable. But it does unscrew if you use a vise to unscrew the pin. I was able to do that on mine, and now I can reverse the door.

Bob27890 · Feb 8, 2022

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

This fridge is kinda small but its efficient and works for the amount of food I buy on a regular basis. My only issue is that this fridge does not come with the proper top hinge necessary to flip the doors the opposite direction, so I had to pit the fridge in a different part of the apartment just to open the doors. Not only that, but there is no replacement left hinge on the site to order. Its very inconvenient and this is the only reason I'm not giving this fridge a full 5 star review.

R Cantel · Jan 13, 2022

Disappointed

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

This appliance works just fine. However, the size is really a problem. The freezer is a disproportionate size to the refrigerator. I have to bend down every time I want to see anything on the top shelf of the refrigerator. Not good. While I did read the dimensions and thought it would be fine, I didn't pay attention the the freezer size, so didn't realize this appliance was a bad choice for me. Again, it works fine so far, but size of it is a huge issue.

Soar Back · Jan 3, 2022

Noisy

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I like everything about the refrigerator, except it is noisy. No, not the compressor motor, but the gurgling sound I hear when the compressor shuts off. It’s something between a snapping and crackling sound and water dripping through a pipe. I contacted the dealership, they said it’s normal, so I am resigned to making friends with the noise. We have long conversations in the middle of the night (although I tend to get a bit profane).

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

Garage Ready sticker requores GoofOff and some serious scrubbing to renove. Why in the world would you make your customers do extra work? Now we have a brand new freezer with a well scrubbed, slightly scratched corner because you guys used the wrong type of sticker. It always amazes me that a company doesnt put in a bit more effort to not annoy their cusromers.

Does Not Stay Cool Enough

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

I bought this fridge a month ago and it does not stay cool enough. I was told to put it on the optimal middle setting. I let it cool for 24 hours and then put in a thermometer. I then let it cool for another 24 hours. It was at 50 degrees, hardly optimal. I tried the lowest, “Cold,” setting and the temperature was 54 degrees. Then I tried the, “Coldest,” setting and it was 48 degrees. None of these are acceptable refrigerator temperatures. I even tried turning the freezer up to the maximum setting to see if that would help. It did not.

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

I've had the fridge in my home for 6 weeks and it already needs a new defrost timer. Repair service told me it would take a few weeks to arrive. To say that I'm disappointed is a bit of an understatement, as I cannot use my brand new refrigerator for anything other than a cupboard right now.

Little over 3 months and it has issues. But worst part is trying to setup a repair. I called for 3 days and I kept receiving a message saying due to higher than normal call volume please call back and then it just hung up. I’m hoping the issue doesn’t happen again but if it does you know I’ll be back.

Turns off

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

The refrigerator routinely get as cold as 24 which is too cold and then cycles up to 40. I’ve owned this unit less than a year but in the last month twice the unit stopped working, the freezer got up to 30 and the refrigerator to 50, and I had to unplug it and then plug the unit back in. If didn’t have a thermometer everything might’ve been ruined. This shouldn’t be happening in a unit I’ve had less than a year.

Compressor failed after owning less than 2 years

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

We too had our compressor fail after owning less than two years. The service tech said we should just replace the refrigerator. After just 2 years????? Our previous unit (another brand) lasted for 48 years. I hope this isn't an indication of how long the "energy efficient" models last.

Refrigerator Doesn't Get Cold Enough

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

i bought this refrigerator a month ago. The refrigerator section does not get cold enough- only 38 to 43 degrees, even at the "maximum cold" setting. I have thermometers in both the refrigerator and the freezer sections. When I first turn on the unit, it takes about two and a half hours to reach its lowest temperatures: 35 degrees in the refrigerator (max cold setting) and -9 degrees in the freezer (middle setting). The compressor then shuts off. The temperatures then rise into these ranges as the unit cycles on and off: Refrigerator: 38 to 43 degrees Freezer: -3 to 6 degrees The FDA recommends a maximum refrigerator temperature of 40 degrees, with an optimum range of 36 to 38 degrees. This unit does not meet those recommendations.

Refrigerator is Too Warm

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

My parents and I purchased this unit this past summer. The freezer works fantastic, however the refrigerator is too warm!! We were forced to throw milk out on several occasions because it did not taste right, although the expiration date wasn't for a couple of days! I've set the temperature to the "coldest" setting in the refrigerator and it does absolutely nothing!!

Poor design and so noisy!

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars

My fridge died suddenly, so I was in a rush to get a replacement. My small condo kitchen cannot accommodate a standard-sized refrigerator, I have to have apartment sized. Many are out of stock and I couldn't wait weeks. I ordered this sight unseen and I'm sorry I did. I don't like the interior design. The door has only 3 shelves and the bottom one is much too big. The interior shelves seem thin. Above the top shelf is some type of something that sticks out and takes up a lot of room. I had to lower the shelf to fit milk, making the shelves below shallow and it's hard to see what's there. Also, and most annoying--it makes a super loud pinging sound--like water dripping on metal. I hear it all day! Not happy.

AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars

Get ready to mess up your back trying to find anything in this fridge. The fresh produce section is so short, that you have to strain to bend down. My husband and I have considered getting a small stool so we don’t hurt our backs trying to find anything. It’s also incredibly dark in there. I just had to buy new lights to install myself. I wish we could return this so badly, but it’s the only fridge that can fit in our old apartment. Thinking of moving out of this place just to avoid this fridge!!!
