Almost perfect

The refrigerator fits perfectly in the narrow space. It has more room than the one that was replaced. It is working well and very quiet. Only complaint is the paint finish on the doors have scratches and the door handle is not aligned properly. I am waiting on replacement doors.

This refrigerator was the perfect size for my kitchen. I ordered a smaller fridge to take up less space. While it’s a smaller refrigerator on the outside.. the inside seems to fit everything I need! I love the black color of the fridge and so far it’s been fingerprint resistant... even with a toddler. Love it!

In love....

This is our first French door refrigerator and our first KitchenAid. It’s tiny bit small than our previous 20 plus year old fridge, but it’s seem to have a TON more room. I was a bit worried about the ice maker, I had read several review in which people had some issue with them, mine seems fine. So far the only negative would be the water dispenser, if you pull your glass away to fast before the water stops dripping you end up with water in the fridge and the drawer be low, just be patient. So far I’m in love with my KitchenAid suite.

Fantastic french door refrigerator KRFF300EBS.

Unit was purchased and installed about nine months ago as of the writing of this review. This suites our lifestyle. Love the room in the refrigerator gained by not having a through the door ice and water dispenser. Although having an interior cold-water dispenser is not ideal. It is operated with the use of one hand. Again, inside the left door has great storage space that refrigerators with through the door dispensers do not have. The door shelves have removeable gray plastic liners that are dishwasher safe. The interior shelves are easily adjusted. Love the shelves that slide into half making room for tall items. Freezer is well lit and spacious. This is my first french door refrigerator. Use to just swinging doors close and walking away. The left side door has to be pushed into closed position so it took a while to close doors properly with out having to think. One time the freezer was left ajar. Upon opening the refrigerator the interior lights did not come on. There was a red symbol on the control panel. It took a moment to figure out the problem. When the freezer was properly closed, the red symbol disappeared and the interior lights once again worked properly. About a month after this was installed, house electrical system was upgraded and was rewired. Work took about ten hours. I want you to know that although refrigerator was not opened during this extended time with no power. Ice was still perfectly frozen and worries about spoiled food were unfounded.

Surprisingly roomy

My husband and I had an old 16cu too mount and we were constantly running out of freezer space. We also do not have a water hook up, so this fridge was perfect. The freezer has much more space and the fresh food section as well has a lot of room. Initially the shelf situation looked disappointing and I wasn’t sure how it was going to work but it’s surprisingly roomy! Love it! I did also want it in white but was unavailable through my supplier so I will be wrapping it. (Yes, white appliances are still in demand)

There are cracks in the bottom drawer of the freezer. The dealer said they would order new and replace. Otherwise I would have given 5 stars.

Make better stronger bins!

Makes the darn bins from a quality material!! So many reviews tell you this yet you still have thin cheap bins that also fall off their tracks!!! This brand is your top brand… show it, make it that way, be fair to your customers! I was not able to see this refrigerator in store as it is special order. Otherwise may have gone with Bosch!! Or Meile!! Stop cheating out!!! You should be ashamed!

Very poor bins.

Generally like. Please hear me kitchen aide! Do something about the cheap plastic bins! You are supposed to be top of line of the three brands you produce. I expected what I paid for. These bins are disgraceful!! They are thin, doubt if they will hold up and large one comes off track all the time! I do like the in fridge water feature.

Great Fit Without Giving Up Features

I had to replace a French door refrigerator that had reached its "end of life." Given the limitations of available space I feared I wouldn't find another French door replacement (the existing refrigerator that came with the condo was crammed into the niche). This Kitchenaid refrigerator is a great fit. Although a little smaller than the old fridge, I've managed to find locations for everything and still have a water dispenser and ice maker. So far so good!

Much more spacious than I thought

I bought this two weeks ago and it's a huge improvement on my old Whirlpool. It's only a couple of inches wider and taller, but there is a lot more space inside. I like the adjustable sliding shelves and the deeper/wider freezer compartment. I haven't figured out what to store in the drop-open bin in the door, but I'll figure it out eventually. The water dispenser does drip after use so I placed a small sponge below it.

Very nice looking and the perfect size. My only suggestion would be to up the quality of the refrigerator drawers. They feel flimsy and designing the pull handles out of the top front makes them look thin and cheap. For the price point of a fridge this size, they should be better.

Perfect fit for an older home.

We just recently moved into a older home with a small space in the kitchen for the refrigerator. We wanted the modern look of a French door refrigerator with the freezer on the bottom however most on the market are too wide and too tall. This unit fit the space perfectly and provides the modern look we were looking for. We really like the reliability of having the ice maker in the freezer and the clean exterior look of having the water dispense inside rather than in the door. We have been using this unit for over a month and love it.

Adequate given space restrictions

It was the only one that would fit in our kitchen. Exactly the same as our old one. We had no choice. I wish it had been an upgrade on the inside. Plastic vertical “drawer” on left door is unusable. Not sure what it is for, exactly, because plastic hinge wears out. It would be better inside if there were some metal fittings but sadly no.

THE FIT AND FINISH IS VERY GOOD BOTH INSIDE AND OUTSIDE WITH NONE OF THE ISSUES OUTLINED IN THE OTHER REVIEWS HAVING BEEN EXPERIENCED BY US. I DO KNOW THAT OUR PARTICULAR UNIT, WHICH IS WHITE IN COLOR, WAS MANUFACTURED IN MEXICO AND NOT IN THE U.S. ACCORDING TO KITCHENAID. I AM GIVING 4 STARS DUE TO TWO ISSUES. THE WATER LINE FOR THE ICE MAKER SENT BY KITCHENAID IS A VERY LOW QUALITY MANUFACTURED ITEM. WHEN OUR REFRIGERATOR WAS DELIVERED, THE INSTALLATION TEAM ADVISED US TO STAY WITH OUR CURRENT WATER LINE AS IT WAS A MUCH BETTER QUALITY WATER LINE THAN THE ONE SENT WITH OUR REFRIGERATOR BY KITCHENAID. ANOTHER ISSUE IS WITH THE PRODUCE PRESERVER. IT WAS MANUFACTURED WITH A FLAW THAT DOES NOT ALLOW IT TO REMAIN ATTACHED TO THE INTERIOR REFRIGERATOR INSIDE WALL. IT KEEPS FALLING DOWN. IN LOOKING AT THE PRODUCE PRESERVER FROM THE BACKSIDE, THE SLOT IN THE HOUSING THAT HOLDS THE RIGHT SUCTION CUP IS LARGER THAN THE SLOT THAT HOLDS THE LEFT SUCTION CUP, THUS ALLOWING THE RIGHT SUCTION CUP TO COME LOOSE FROM THE PRODUCE PRESERVER'S SUCTION CUP RETAINER BAR THUS ALLOWING THE PRODUCE PRESERVER TO LOOSEN FROM THE INTERIOR REFRIGERATOR WALL AND FALL DOWN INSIDE THE REFRIGERATOR, WHICH IS RATHER ANNOYING TO SAY THE LEAST.  I CALLED KITCHENAID, EXPLAINING THE SITUATION TO THEM AND THEY ARE SENDING A REPLACEMENT PRODUCE PRESERVER @ NO CHARGE TO REPLACE THE DEFECTIVE ONE. I HOPE THAT THE REPLACEMENT PRODUCE PRESERVER WILL REMAIN IN PLACE AND NOT FALL AS THE CURRENT PRODUCE PRESERVER DOES. Still flawless after 12 years.

I bought this refrigerator 12 years ago and it has performed flawlessly in all of that time. I have put it through the ringer, too, making loads of ice. A rough family member broke one of the humidifier glass enclosures but it continues to chug away, keeping items crisp and cold. If it is possible to show affection for an appliance, I do. Nice, Small Size Refrig

This is a nice refrigerator and as expected on the small size. Works for the two of us so that is not so much an issue. A couple of observations now that we have had ours for a couple of weeks. (1) Water dispenser. Not bad location and seems to have no dripping which we encounter on another refrig, different brand, at our vacation house. But a couple of things. Original OEM brand filter is ridiculously expensive. We will likely add another into the supply line. And an annoying issue: It took gallons and gallons of water to purge the air from the line. I followed the instructions, 5 sec on, 5 sec off......3+ gallons, still had tiny air bubbles. Then after a couple of days, trying again, after a few 8-10 oz glasses of water, crystal clear. Came back the next morning, same result. Several diminishing glasses of bubbles then clear as a bell. I called the help line which was of no use. I think its an AI voice and is simply responsive per some set of instructions. Went on for 5-6 days, now the water is clear all the time. I suppose not the end of the world but annoying. (2) The front feet are not rollers. So if you want to move the refer in/out from the wall, it is sort of a hassle. (3) The freezer is not large, as expected but there is a partition that I suspect is part of the freezer drawer support right down the middle. I don't think you could fit a large turkey in there, given the split in the freezer. (4) The description of how to install/remove shelves seems to be written by someone who never actually performed the function. Once you figure it out, its not too bad but another annoyance that should be simple. With the narrow profile, the shelves are not the easiest to get and out. Overall, the refrigerator is nice, seems to work as it should, matches our range and dishwasher so our small kitchen is quite stylish. One recommendation. I suppose anyone buying this refrig has a small kitchen. We could never find one anywhere to actually touch so we bought it without actually seeing it. Given the smallish stance, the doors are small, the freezer has the partition and so forth. If you like this refrig, try to get to see one in person to make sure you like the size and fit of thiings. We bought a small freezer that solved our freezer size issue and that might be a good way to over come the freezer storage size if that is an issue for you. Bottom line is the refrig is nice, and there could be a few fixes KitchenAid/Whirlpool could do to make improvements.

Best 30" French-Door Available

Good looking frig

Had to buy this smaller refrigerator because of the cupboard height I had to work with. It is a very nice frig but I notice the smaller size alot. The storage units on the door seem to be confining and not as useful as the ones on my old frig. A plain square shape would have been more functional. The shelf position choices are also confining. Bottom freezer is great!

I feel lucky to have found a Kitchen Aid refrigerator for my space. My old refrigerator is 33" and many of the refrigerators are so large now. At first this felt small, but I am getting used to it. It takes a few weeks for the temperature to settle in.

Nice appliance

The refrigerator meets my needs, is quiet, offers a variety of shelving and, in addition, is attractive. My one complaint is that I cannot find a replacement part for the 8 1/2" x 10 1/2" fresh produce door container which no longer stays shut on its own thus falls open every time the door is open.

spacious 30" bottom freezer

My kitchen has limited space so this refrigerator is perfect. It's efficient because of the bottom freezer, has moveable shelving for opening up a partial shelf for taller items, has an ice maker and interior water dispenser, and is very nice to use. There is a gap at the seal of the freezer drawer but if it turns out to not be an installation issue, it is covered under warranty. The refrigerator is also very quiet

Perfect small refrigerator with plenty of room

After a year and a half of waiting, we finally got our refrigerator. When we started our kitchen remodel in 2021 we had all our appliances picked out. By the time we were ready to order appliances, the refrigerator was not available. When it was finally back in stock, I quickly placed my order and it was delivered in less than two week. I love the way this appliance fits into the space. The French doors are a nice feature along with the interior water dispenser and the adjustable shelves. I absolutely love it. Worth the wait.

We've had our KitchenAid refrigerator for nearly a year and it works well. The ice maker definitely makes good amounts of ice though the "cubes" melt quickly iin drinks. Also, the door open alarm could be louder because if you're not in the kitchen you'd have difficulty hearing it.

Perfect for a Smaller Space

We were challenged with a space that required a refrigerator that would be 1/2" shorter than the standard size. This is perfect. The french doors are so handy. We love the water dispenser on the inside and have a scoop inside the ice maker tray. The ice maker is quiet as well. The pull-out freezer bins work well and hold a lot of items. Highly recommend!

We bought this a little over a year ago and have been very happy with it. The shelves can be maneuvered to fit different sized products. There are beautiful lights throughout so you can always see everything.

It does make a few weird noises and are a bit concerning. We also hoped for wire baskets in the freezer as the larger model in the showroom but it has solid plastic bins.

This is the perfect apartment size refrigerator. It contains all the quality features and energy efficiencies that you’d expect from a Kitchen Aid major appliance. The adjustable shelves and “half” shelves is a cool feature to creating space where needed for larger items. I particularly like having the clean outside stainless look and having my water dispenser on the inside. This appliance compliments the look I’ve been longing for...all Kitchen Aid major appliances in my home. This is a great selling feature when it comes time to move.

I bought mine during the time that most manufacturers were shut down. It took a long time to get it delivered to my house because of this, but it is a nice refrigerator. I wish that the ice output was greater. My family uses lots of ice and I have never had a full ice container.

Nice looking and spacious

Live the way this looks (especially with the matching stove), and it does seem to be pretty spacious, but it has a couple things that I don’t love. One is that it makes noise! The freezer has a fan that we can hear. It doesn’t go all the time—we haven’t been able to figure out when it’s on and when it’s off (it’s not related to when it’s been opened)—and it’s not loud. Just a low hum. But I don’t want a hum! I thought only old junky refrigerators made noise! The other thing is the strange bin on the left hand door. We don’t find this a useful feature at all. We haven’t been able to figure out how to make the best use of it. Another shelf would be better. Doesn’t mean I wouldn’t recommend the fridge, but I’d warn people about those two things.

Having some problem with moisture control in some of the designated spaces. Got to figure it out---salad not lasting and even bread (have to put it in there 'cause we are in the desert) has moisture collected in packaging after being in frig for a while. Never happened with my other frig.

It is perfect with the exception of drawers which are made with a very thin plastic. I was surprised that how a great trademark will make the drawers of a great refrigerator with this material. I will recommend this to others.

New to Kitchenaid

After my 26 year old Kenmore fridge stopped working I decided to get the KitchenAid. I was used to having a compartments for butter & cheese and a drawer for meats. My new one has none of these. I have also found the large veggie bin does not quite fit in the slide slots provided, so it gets off track quite often. I bought this sight unseen so you can imagine my surprise that the above things were lacking. I'm trying to adjust but its a little difficult. I have noticed the produce keeps better than my old one. I'm looking for containers to replace the compartments I lost so I can stay organized. It's a challenge to find things at the moment.

Purchased this model to fit into a slim cubby space in my condo, and specifically because it has the water dispenser inside and not on the front door. I have a similar but larger JennAir model in another home and love it. This is a pricey fridge. But very sleek design, well-made with thoughtful design. Comes with a variety of configuration options by way of drawers and door shelves, but I am puzzled as to what to use the long tilt-out, on-the-door crisper for. I find that it's a bulky waste of space. This is a small capacity fridge - apparently they expanded the freezer which is relatively large in comparison - and as a result, I am not using one full inside shelf, the larger crisper drawer and the tilt-out door crisper. Even with those exclusions, I find there is barely enough space to add groceries for two people. Had it a week and need to work on the configuration to best fit our needs. Otherwise, it's a good solution for our smaller space, and saves the lower back from bending over to add heavy water bottles into a standard fridge. Would definitely purchase again - just puzzled by that dang door crisper..!

A Lot for the Size

We have had this refrigerator for a number of years. We have only had to have it repaired once due to a defect in the freezer where ice would build up on the bottom of the inside of the freezer. The technician indicated this was a known design flaw that had been redone and there was a fix for ours. Since then, no other issues. We have a small space for the refrigerator in our kitchen and this one had had an ice-maker and water dispenser. We love the French Door design, the freezer on the bottom is awesome and the shelves are really easy to use and clean. The only compliant I have is the tip out unit for storage in the door. I am not sure what that is all about. I have ordered just this evening another shelf like the ones above and seemingly that will fit where the tip out unit goes and it will then be darn near perfect. Highly recommend this product and have been pleased with our Kitchen Aid kitchen.

I have had this fridge in my newly renovated kitchen since March. It does a great job---veggies stay fresh, ice replaced immediately, water dispenser is great to have--but it is NOT for a family. I am on my own, so it works for me. The inside spaces are quite small, especially on the doors. A half gallon of juice or milk would take up most of the biggest shelf. The main shelves are an OK size, but they all have a strip dividing the flat space, so some containers wind up a bit slanted rather than lying flat. I replaced another Kitchen Aid fridge with this one, which was fantastic. I should have held onto it.

Most brands offer a lot of "bulk" in their freezer drawers with not much storage space. We are so happy with our decision to buy this KitchenAid model!

This fridge is ideal in every way - BUT...keep in mind, very tall drinks/pitchers can only be stored in fridge 2 not so ideal ways. You either have to slide upper shelf in (which now leaves you only a half top shelf for storage), OR you can store it in bottom shelf of one of the doors (which means you have to REMOVE the door shelf/tray above it all-together. Again, this is only for large pitchers or very tall container.

I bought a slightly smaller size to fit my kitchen. I like it very much. So glad Kitchenaid made it available. The bottom drawer freezer is great for easy access. The icemaker in the bottom drawer is perfect. I could never access the ice tray in the older model. The only thing I would like to see improved is the vegetable drawers. They do not seal shut. About a 1/2 inch space is left when the drawer is completely closed.

We recently purchased this model because it was one of the few that fit our space and was similar to our old fridge that was discontinued . We are very happy with this fridge. I wish the LED lights were brighter and the produce saver on the door is a waste of tall space for wine bottles. If there were brighter lights one could fit more items in the fridge. Ok I would gladly purchase a bin to replace what is there. It was very easy to get used to the storage space of this fridge . Two thumbs up!!

There is only a small space for tall milk and juice bottles, then the rest of the shelf is hidden. My water dispenser leaked and I took the cover off to find the hose slit, will contact KitchenAid about that. Overall happy with the product and features.

Purchased early 2019. Unit had to fit into a certain size. Great in wall water dispenser. My only concern are the instructions in the manual. After 6 months water filter needed replacement. Nowhere in the manual does it say you must use their filter. Online filters were being offered at discount prices. These filters claimed to be a replacement filter. Ater a month the water dispenser stopped and I called in a repairman. I was told the problem was the filter. I showed him the manual and he agreed that it should be clearer in the manual.

Too early for full review, but...! Very quiet & works splendidly. Very thoughtful layout & features. I would recommend the drop shelf for tall items go all the way to the back - otherwise the space behind it on the lower shelf is blocked off and not easily accessible. . I would recommend at least one of the condiment bins have a sliding spacer to keep lose items from falling over when the door is opened & shut. To complement the great convenience of being able to open just one door, I’d prefer the crisper drawers be of equal size.

My wife and I purchased this smaller sized unit for our home about 2 months ago. Attractive piece that matches the Kitchenaid dishwasher purchased 8 months earlier. Overall quality is good, though a little pricey possibly due to its smaller "special" dimensions necessary to fit the existing cabinetry. The interior cold water dispenser is a nice feature, though it could be placed a little better. Possibly a bit closer to the door and not so close to shelves. It was easy to hook up the water once the correct 1/4" pex and fittings were purchased. Also, the cutout shelf that provides opportunity for taller items should be reversed or "mirrored" so that milk and common items used can be taken out with the right side door if desired. The dividers in the drawer style lower freezer helps keep it a bit more organized. So far, so good...

A perfect fit for my needs. I needed a 30 inch wide French door refrigerator to accommodate the space I had. The refrigerator is beautiful. Everything inside is clearly and easily visible. I especially like the ability to adjust the door shelves as well as the inside shelves. I’m looking forward to using my water dispenser and my icemaker.

I bought in 3 months ago - and it has exceeded my expectations. I have previously owned two side by side kitchenAid refrigerators and was very happy with both of them. This one is even better - I love the pull out bottom freezer! This was the only french door refrigerator of all brands that fit my kitchen location. It is smaller cubic ft than the one it replaces but it works because the interior design is so flexible. The only concern I have is the vegetable drawers seem kind of flimsy and don't seem to fit as precisely as I would like. Have to see how they hold up. I've had to change the water filter already and they are pricey. This is probably because of our water (well). May have to forgo the auto icemaker :(. But I still love my new fridge!!

Are old fridge died the evening we needed ice for my husbands knee surgery recovery. We had little time to research but asked around and read a bunch of reviews which led us to this one. The water and ice are inside the unit. I like the clean front and don’t mind the ice being in the bottom drawer. As other reviewers mentioned, the water releases a few droplets after filling a cup but it’s not a deal breaker. The unit comes with a stick on produce filter/freshener thing. We installed it and it seemed to dehydrate our produce. I took it out and now fresh lettuce is holding crispy up to two weeks...no kidding! Overall functional and the reason I gave 4 instead of 5 stars is Kitchenaid missed on attention to detail as the silver placard on the freezer drawer is crooked. We bought black stainless color and added the stove and dishwasher. This line has provided a nice upgrade to our kitchen. We’re not missing our white appliances from the early 90’s!

We have a smaller kitchen and this fridge fits perfectly. The smooth white finish is great and very easy to keep clean. The fridge is well lit which makes it easy to locate what you are looking for. Having ice and water built in is great- my husband just wishes the freezer was a tad bigger.

I love the design and how well thought out the interior is. A generous and just right amount of freezer space. We can fit 30% more food inside, I swear. Ice maker is excellent. Hubs like the cold water dispenser. Every time I use the fridge I think about how smart it is. I also sigh with regret because the bins and shelves are flimsy. Shelves sag. The bottom glass shelf that holds up two additional drawers does not have a continuous frame on it and comes apart if something in the drawer below catches on it. I’m fairly certain the shelves and bins will crack in time. They are thin with no reinforcement. I also HATE that all the shelves can be pushed back to make more vertical space. These types of shelves take up too much room and push back too easily dumping what is on the shelf. One shelf maybe. All of them? Bottom line, the components won’t last long. If we get two years before having to break out the duct tape it’ll be a miracle. I resent having to be so very careful with it. I would gladly pay more $ for better guys because otherwise this thing is perfect. One other point, there are maybe two refrigerators that will fit in my kitchen. I am grateful I could find one I like this much. Just wish the plastic parts were more substantial.

Able to fit in tight places

I bought this refrigerator in July. It was able to fit into our smaller sized kitchen perfectly. The upper shelves can be minimized from full size to half sizes in order to fit in taller grocery items such as milk cartons, juice, etc. The freezer can fit a decent amount of food too. The fridge itself deserves 5 stars but the only reason for docking would be that it took 45 days to obtain our fridge. KitchenAid never informed the dealer we purchased from that this fridge was on back order.

Love white with industrial handles

Looks fabulous, love the French doors, however you have to open both doors to get access to left vegetable drawer. They dont close automatically like old fridges. You have to really make sure the door closes. 30 inch doesn't have a lot of room but just 2 of us so it works. Water dispenser on inside which I like but wouldn't work if kids were constantly opening door for water. Freezer is a decent size.

Bought this as my 30 year old Maytag refrigerator was slowly loosing its coolness. There are a lot of new great features that I didn't know about now in new refrigerators. Such as: clear bins, fresh bin, inside water dispenser, air filter, fold away shelf to allow for tall bottles to stand upright, pantry air control. No fingerprints to wipe off!

I was worried about finger prints with the sse model but they are no problem at all. This fridge cleans easy and looks great.

Perfectly compact French-door fridge (hard 2 find)

We've had had this for week and love it. We wanted French doors, bottom freezer, internal water dispenser, filtered water, and ice. It has all of this and fit neatly in the space left by our 20 cf old plain 2-dr W/house. It's intuitively designed for at least what we put in a fridge, with these easy to slide split shelves for expanded height eg for tall water bottles, and transparent condiment bins on the sides. The crisper areas are so much easier to remove and to keep clean. Its like origami design and gently forces you to be more organized since you won't lose things in this fridge and it's neatly compartmentalized. Perfect size for 1-3 adults in household and curtails long-term unidentifiable leftover buildup. The handles are very sturdy and easy to grab. All of these great features make up for the fact that the stainless finish is only on the front (sides are slightly different color and material that looks less likely to dent then stainless and appears substantial strength) and is NOT smudge-resistant. But at least the fingerprints are visible thus more likely to be cleaned frequently, so it also promotes hygiene. Kitchen Aid did as much as it could with the space, which is nicer divided and still considerable but much better organized which is immediately appreciated. It made a truly nice refrigerator that makes me glad we upgraded. The filtered water tastes fabulous, and it makes ice cubes very quietly. Runs quietly, too, but has a gentle alarm that warms you if the door is left ajar for awhile. Our appliance store installed the water intake from the basement in about half an hour.

Fits Well in My Small San Francisco Kitchen

My Dream Refrigerator

It's been a month now that I have this refrigerator. I really like the shelving of both the refrigerator and freezer. You can put a lot if you organized your veggie, fruits, and frozen stuffs. Tall stuffs are on the doors not the inner refrigerator shelving. Easy to reach at anytime. You can easy view what you have both in the refrigerator and freezer sections. Everything can be seen at a glance. I love it. It was my dream refrigerator and sure it delivers to perform what I expected.

I love the bottom freezer. It's nice since it's just my husband and me now. It's hard to fit a frozen pizza in, but I managed to get it to lay flat on the top shelf. The refrigerator needs a little better or more shelving for taller items. I'll have to buy storage containers to hold the water bottles, wine & beer to keep them from rolling around when they lay flat on the shelves. Overall a good buy.

We had a smaller space to fit a new refrigerator. We had very little options and was very happy to find this model. This refrigerator replaces our 25 year old Kitchenaid. Only thing that worries us is they offered a 3 year optional warranty. Doesn’t say much for the projected life of the new refrigerator.

We bought this refrigerator after our old one just gave out! We like the size and the movable shelves. I have noticed the doors need an extra push to close as they are tightly sealed. I am trying to figure out where to put items to get maximum benefit. It chills the food perfectly and I love the full deli tray! There is drawer on the left hand side that I am still trying to figure out how to use! Its been fun putting different items in it!

I bought this particular model in white sight unseen. Absolutely love the smooth shiny white finish. This french door fridge replaced my side by side and I was concerned that I would not like the three door feature. Boy, was I wrong. The french door feature gives a great full view of the contents. Slide out freezer door always gives easy access to what I am looking for. Only minor complaint was it took three weeks to get it delivered. Was glad my old fridge held on.

Disappointing

The good: The interior water dispenser saves space and the textured door handles prevent fingerprints from showing. The unit is quiet and keeps food at the correct temperature The disappointing: Even though this model is the same size as a previously owned Kenmore (Whirlpool) it has a lot less space in both the refrigerator and freezer sections. Large items are not easily accommodated even when the shelves are slid back. The "fresh vue" bin on the left door is a total waste of space. A shelf would be much more useful. The fruit and vegetable bins are small and the deli drawer isn't deep enough to hold a wedge of cheese. Having a movable divider in the freezer would have been preferable to the fixed one in this model. Metal shelf standards instead of the molded shelf supports in the refrigerator section would give more flexibility. The user manual focuses mainly on installation not adequately describing the features. Even customer service could not tell me what to use the "fresh vue" door bin for and could only supply a photo showing it seems to be used for storing herbs. I expected a lot more from a KitchenAId product. The people who designed the interior of this product do not seem to be aware of the size of many of the items one stores in a refrigerator.

It was also delivered missing one of the gray rubber shelf liners, which I'm having difficulty getting one. I was very happy with my dishwasher, not so much with this refrigerator.

Needed a 30" and wanted French doors

I've only had the frig for a few days and it operates well. My issue is that the door bins don't fit on the right side. They are slightly wider than the space and don't sit in the door securely. I've already tried swapping them out with the retailer's floor model, but the bins were the same size and the ones that came with the unit. I think that the door space for them was manufactured slightly smaller than what it should be. For the amount of money I paid for this frig, it's a big disappointment. Hopefully the retailer's service department will be able to fix the problem; I'm guessing with a new door.

The compressor on my 20 y/o amaña side by side went kaput. I purchased the kitchen Aid as a replacement. Although I like the appearance of the kitchen aid, the 30” wide doesn’t fill in the cabinet Space as well as my 36” amaña did. (I was limited with model choices secondary to height restrictions) I accommodated for the less storage area by depleting my condiments selections. :( The bucket freezer requires a bit of digging to locate items. On occasion, I’ve had to put food in the ice tray because lack of space. Adjustment required here too. Overall, I like the look and the interior layout for food storage. Options for flexibility of shelf adjustment. Inside water dispenser much better than the exterior option. A consideration for those looking for a refrigerator would definitely be the space issue. I’m pleased that I purchased kitchen aid over a Korean made model.

Great Functionality. Questionable Fit and Finsish

This refrigerator is pretty much the only game in town if you want black stainless in a 30-inch size. There is a surprising amount of room inside and the lighting is very bright. With the clear drawers, everything is visible. The inside water dispenser is handy but does not come out very cold. This is the only piece of the KitchenAid Black Stainless suite I can't give 5 stars. When it was unwrapped at the house, there was unsightly foam insulation leaking from the top left door due to a large gap at the seam. Fortunately, the door was replaced under warranty. The other door has noticeable distortion around the upper corner. The refrigerator doesn't seem to have the level of build quality as the rest of the appliances.

Nice exterior, cheap interior... avoid this one!

We've been living with this refrigerator for about 2 months now. I initially liked it and selected it so that we could have a French door refrigerator option in a smaller footprint. We even waited 2-3 extra months for it since it went on backorder. Pros: Relatively spacious freezer, the water dispenser and the adjustable shelves. It also looks nice and sleek from the exterior. I love the handles with the red Kitchen Aid detail on their ends; a beautiful and stylish touch. Cons: Awkward and limited configuration of the door storage including the large plastic bin on the left door. Two shelves would've been so much more useful. The worst part (I am totally baffled that a refrigerator of this price would have such an issue) are the quality and operability of the produce drawers. They do not close fully and if I push them in, they slide back out just a little (like 1/4 inch or so, every single time) and if I load up the larger drawer on the left full of fruit (isn't that what it's there for?) it comes out of the tracks almost every time I touch it. The drawers and their tracks seem to not be compatible in a way I have never seen in any refrigerator. Extremely disappointing and cheap quality; frankly, I would not buy this model again.

Very Nice Looking, But...

I have had this refrigerator for 5 years now. I wanted a French Door fridge and this really was about the only French door fridge from any manufacturer that would fit my limited space. Plus it matches my KitchenAid slide-in gas stove which I have been very happy with. The fridge has worked well and runs quietly. My problem is the interior quality and design of the plastic drawers, and the bottom compartment of the left side door. The crisper drawers don't fully close, haven't from day 1. At the time I bought my fridge, the crisper drawers were advertised as having edging. Mine did not have it and another review of that time said the same. Two adults gently use this fridge, yet the lower compartment on the left drawer flops open every time I open the fridge if there's anything at all in it, so that's unusable. I live less than 3 miles from the Whirlpool World Headquarters. I wish I could just speak to someone there about this design. Is there a way to replace that compartment with another shelf? Is there a replacement for the compartment? I'm still going to go ahead and get a matching dishwasher, but this fridge needs a redesign and upgraded plastic with edging on the drawers so they'll shut.

We received the fridge about 3 weeks ago. We have noticed that it gets really cold, freezing items inside of the refrigerator. We’ve had to lower the temperature multiple times. The veggie drawers do not close all the way so one always pops out. Also, there is a plastic drawer on the left door that’s almost impossible to open. Every time I try to open it I feel like I’m going to break it.

I bought this to replace my older KitchenAid french door refrigerator. I want my old one back. I can't use the produce drawers because everything freezes in them. I have the temperature set at the highest setting and the refrigerator sits between 38-40 but the crisper drawers are below 32. This obviously isn't right. KitchenAid sent a service man out to look at it and he ordered a part but I haven't heard a word since.

Things to love: stainless design, interior water (great innovation), french doors provide easy access to entire refrigerator compartment; shelf liners (easy to keep shelves clean); easy access water filter. Not so much: bottom shelf is poorly designed/constructed; it flexes under heavier-but still normal-loads that cause drawer to fall off. Shelf sliders come with a thick, petroleum jelly coating (messy). Tough to access air filter (requires taking everything out of the fridge to replace!! Really??). Suction-cup odor control compartment appears to be an after thought. Price is high for cheap feel of interior components (I guess it's entry level of a premium brand, but I expected more than looks for the money). Awkward tilt-open shelf compartment in the door...what exactly is this meant for anyway?

Puechased less than a yr ago. Good product but abit noisy the way it runs. We have 2 people and drink a lot of water. THe ice maker does not keep up with our demand so we have to keep a bag of ice in freezer to add when necessary losing valuable freezer space. The air filter is located behind a shelf which requires removal of some items to be able to get shelf out enough to open door for replacement - bad design. But if nothing else goes wrong we would rate this a solid good.

Functions great and very quiet. This is my first refrigerator with French doors so can't say whether this is inherit with them all. Left door with the seal lip needs extra push to close which I'm not used to. But what makes that worse is that the 'open door' alarm takes 5 minutes to alert is a single beep and not very loud, and when the door is just barely ajar from failure to push hard to close does not activate at all.

Switching from a single door freezer on top to this model requires one to rethink how and where you put items in the fridge. Shelf adjustments are limited and there is limited room for tall bottles without laying them on their sides. The freezer does not have as much space and requires better organization. Think about using plastic bags to hold similir items to make finding things easier.

Runs fine but is noisy

From the moment we had the unit installed, there was a sound that was not defined in the Kitchen Aid Troubleshooting section. We had the local Kitchen Aid serviceman come around. He replaced the Damper Unit. However, within a short time, the noise returned. Again, we had the serviceman around and, again, he replaced the damper unit. We still have the noise. Is that to be expected with this refrigerator model or should it run silently? Everythng else about the unit is good; looks nice and refrigerates and freezes quite well. It seems a bit noisy.

Be Warned: FALSE ADVERTISING on this model

Be Warned: A warning to all those looking at possibly buying this fridge: There is a feature they are advertising on this model's webpage that does NOT exist with this model. They call the feature: "FRESHCHILL TEMPERATURE-CONTROLLED FULL-WIDTH PANTRY". What this is referring to is the long width drawer inside the fridge (the drawer directly underneath the two crisper drawers). In reality, this drawer has a large permanent hole for air to constantly pass through and has no individual temperature control, as the advertising suggests. Just look closely as the interior photos of the fridge and you will see what I am talking about. Again, this feature does NOT exist with this model. This is false advertising. Also, to clarify their advertising of the "PRODUCE PRESERVER" feature. The fridge does NOT come with a "Produce Preserver" product (although you can buy one separately) nor do either of the crisper drawer interiors have a part where a "Produce Preserver" can be attached to (it is shown as ATTACHED to a crisper drawer in the marketing photo on this model's webpage). See, I used to have another KitchenAid fridge that had a part on the vertical side of the crisper drawer specifically to attach a "Produce Preserver" onto. It's sort of like a notched part on the vertical side of the drawer that the "Produce Preserver" hooks onto. And this fridge model does NOT have that part to hook a "Produce Preserver" onto. Thus, if you want to use a "Produce Preserver", you will just have to place one inside the drawer and it will just sit loosely at the bottom of the drawer and in the way of your produce.

I find the plastic drawers to be rather flimsy. The drawers for the fruit and vegetables come off the tracks and are difficult to put back due to doors not fully opening. The plastic piece on the glass drawer seems to be dislodged easily.

We were limited in the choice of refrigerators because of the available space in our kitchen. The two drawbacks I would call attention to: the ice maker makes ice very slowly and stingily, and one must make a special effort to make sure the French doors are closed. Unlike our previous refrigerator, you can't just slam the doors shut -- they will remain ajar unless you firmly close them.

I am disappointed in this refrigerator. The french doors do not open wide enough to really get inside. They “engulf” you when open. The freezer set up is just awful! Better to have just one open drawer iinstead of a divided one. The top drawer is no better. The temperature is hard to regulate. Lots of ice crystals in the freezer. And I had to wait 5 weeks for delivery from a place I will never buy from again.

I have just had this refrigerator for a couple weeks, so am waiting to write a follow-on rating after I've used this item for awhile. Do not like the fact that the door storage was reduced by the fresh keeper on the left side of the doors. Does not really serve a good purpose and loses valuable space for other items. Drawers to not close snugly which is a problem for trying to control humidity. I will be following through with Kitchenaid on that problem. I am not happy with the layout but I think that's a matter of learning how to store things. Needed to cut back on the volume of groceries I buy anyway. Looks very good and I'm sure my rating will increase when I get used to the refrigerator.

No one had one in store so bought it sight unseen. When it was delivered I was surprised at how cheaply the inside bins and shelves were made. The fridge was the same cost as my original 36 inch Kitchen-Aid. Looks like an entirely different company made it.

I love it but...

I love the size and look of this sleek, small space friendly french door, but I've had a lot of minor issues with it. I think they are due to operator error, but the jury is still out. I've had puddles of water in front of it. I'm told I need to keep the Moisture Control setting on because of the funky door panel that slides out to seal the french doors. However, the seal doesn't seem all that tight so sometimes the door looks closed but isn't and that might be why I'm continuing to get some condensation and leakage. I've also had trouble getting the settings as well as the shelf/door holder placements just right. I'm having a hard time fitting in taller items, like milk, juice, wine, etc. The freezer is small. On the other hand, it's a perfect fit for my space and I love how bright, visible and open the interior is. I'd recommend it for someone who has a space issue like I do.

Purchased this refrigerator August 2024 and finally got it delivered October 2024. The quality of this product is terrible. The interior is so fragile a water bottle will crack it! I've had a frozen foods drop on my 20 year old fridge in the garage and they bounce off. This 8 month old fridge cannot handle a water bottle! I would recommend anyone stay away from this refrigerator. The quality and craftsmanship are just not there. I don't know if the warranty would even cover this but there's definitely a weak spot at the bottom of the fridge. Another issue is that it doesn't cool at the default setting. I turned it up 1 level higher and the vegetables in the crisper froze!. I had to turn it back to the default just so they would not get ruined. My overall experience with this fridge has been negative and has changed my opinion of KitchenAid. If I could, I'd give this zero stars!

We are in the middle of a pandemic and in need of a larger refrigerator to store more food because we can’t go out to the store frequently... We spent money we didn’t really have to buy a fridge from a ‘reputable’ company. To my shock which induced heart palpitations... 2 weeks into owning it, there was water settled and frozen on the inside, bottom of the fridge, and frozen water was running down the back inside spine thingee. It’s a Sunday and the gated community we live in is on complete lockdown and no one would be allowed in to come in to fix it... not to mention that my food will likely spoil. I never thought I would have this problem because of how much I loved and trusted the integrity of Kitchenaid products. I guess I was wrong. This may end up being a simple fix but I would much prefer not to have to worry about my brand new refrigerator with everything else I have to worry about.

Uneven temps, flimsy interior

I purchased this refrigerator along with two other KitchenAid appliances when I remodeled my kitchen. The exterior of the refrigerator looks nice, and I'm enjoying the ice maker and interior water dispenser. However, the interior temperature is inconsistent. I just measured a 44 degree temp of items kept on the top shelf, and a 33.4 degree temp of items on the bottom shelf. If I lower the temperature from the highest setting, items will freeze. The produce bins are in the lower part of the compartment, which is where temps are coldest. I've lost produce due to freezing, and I don't know what to do about that. The shelving is not very adjustable and it is hard to store tall items. The produce bins are very flimsy and don't even close to keep humidity in. The exterior looks nice, but from a performance standpoint, this is not a good fridge.

We really love Kitchenaid appliances, but this refrigerator is disappointing. We didn’t realize until we had it installed how really small the refrigerator section is. We keep having to remove front items to get to the back items because the shelf clearances are very tight. Also, the left door doesn’t automatically close. We have to open the right door so the left door can close all the way. We still can’t find the alert sounds when the door is left open too long. We’ll deal with all this, but shouldn’t have to.

Don't Believe Rebate Offers and Not Cold Enough

KitchenAid provides false/misleading information to retailers about which products are eligible for its rebate program. The "applies to all major appliances" rebate program application I submitted was denied because they claimed this refrigerator is not a "major appliance". Ridiculous. Also, even on the coldest setting, after the door was closed for 8 hours, and with barely any food in it, the refrigerator lowest temp achievable is only 40 degrees (per misc. thermometers I used). This is dangerously close to being too warm. Ideal temp should be around 37-38 degrees but this refigerator cannot attain that setting.

HORRIBLE AND BROKEN LESS THAN ONE YEAR AFTER MANUF

Less than a year old and already malfunctioning- unable to cool since Dec 20. Have gone through the KitchenAid Warranty Service to attempt getting repairs- they first came out Jan 3, “fixed it,” and now it continues to fail to cool anything and the soonest we can get another technician is Jan 14. If it even gets fixed at this point, then it will be an entire month without a functioning fridge. We have been using two mini fridges in the meantime. KitchenAid does not seem to be concerned that the major appliance we use for keeping our food (a necessity of living) cool. This fridge was manufactured Feb 2024 and it is now Jan 2025. Will NEVER be purchasing another appliance from KitchenAid again!!! KitchenAid - DO BETTER. I even purchased the additional warranty but so far that has made no difference. I NEED MY FRIDGE FIXED OR REPLACED. FEEDING MY FAMILY IS MY PRIORITY AND YOU ARE FAILING TO BE HELD ACCOUNTABLE.

Not the Quality I expect from Kitchenaid

Disappointed in this fridge. I have been a loyal Kitchen aid consumer and this is the first time I am writing a bad review on an appliance. The drawers are cheaply made and do not align correctly. We have issues with some items freezing on the top shelf. I am blaming poor circulation. The doors do not close properly, you need to make sure you shut them tight or after 1 minute the alarm goes off. I came from an older Kitchen aid model that worked flawless for years. We purchased this one after doing a kitchen renovation. I would rather spend more and get the quality I expect than feeling like I overpaid for junk.

New 600 refrigerant is garbage. Compressor and starter relay goes out less than 30 days of use. What’s worse. No technicians will touch the new refrigerant and replace parts. So prepeare 45-60 minute wait to talk to someone that wants to help but can’t. Needless to say I’m getting a new fridge shipped to me but the whole process will take around 5-6 weeks to get a fridge again. It’s a great experience so far having 6 in my household.

We returned this refrigerator to the dealer, the doors don't close easily, have to hold to close, there is no temperature reading inside, the clear view bin is idiotic, what are you supposed to store in here, the fruit drawer is so narrow you cannot even turn a quart of strawberries sideways. This is supposed to be the top end brand, stupid layout and planning of space. We returned it and took a 20% restocking hit we were so unhappy with the unit!

Worst refrigerator EVER. Not a family fridge. More for a single person or a couple who do not cook much nor have company. It's got shelves that are 4", 6", and then 9" high on the top but the center has the controls so only 7" of usable height there. Only one shelf moves a little the rest do not move at all. So making a big holiday meal will not fit in this fridge unless you take out all your condiments and other stuff first. It is for small amounts in small shallow containers. It's deeper than high so when you want something you have to take half the stuff out to get to what you want. Also you have to keep pushing on doors to make sure they are closed, the ice machine broke in 3 weeks because frozen foods kept falling over into it since it takes up a third of the freezer. So sorry we bought this thing. Need another right now to replace it but we are stuck with it for a while. So so very bad.

Hard to recommend.

The firm I bought this from has tried very hard to get this fridge right, and I commend them. Here’s what you should know. KitchenAid does not manufacture this unit. I dont know who does. We are having issues getting the doors to align properly. The first issue was the left door making a grinding sound when opening. The tech came out and verified the hinge was just metal on metal. The right door operates perfectly, silently. So the tech found a nylon washer and installed it on the left door hinge. Fixed the grinding sound, but now the door sits 1/4” higher than the right door. Turns out the hinges have no adjustment capability. Fridges manufactured by Kitchen Aid have adjustable hinges. The local firm who installed the fridge are trying to fix things, but are constrained by the lack of adjustable hinges. Just be wary of this particular unit. It’s not a full blown KitchenAid appliance.

Problematic

1) Motor seems to run almost all the time. I will be checking electricity use by comparing electric bills before and after delivery of refrigerator. 2) Doors don't align properly. Gap at top is wider than gap at bottom. 3) Kickplate at bottom of box was damaged. Had to be replaced.

Freezer and French doors are not closing properly!

Very frustrating...I bought this 2 years ago at Sears (bought 5 year warranty as well). Within the first month of having the fridge, the freezer would not close properly. I had Sears look at it and they were able to fix the issue. Now I have the same issue. Not only that, but one of the french doors have become unaligned and very hard to close. I no longer have the warranty because Sears is no longer around so now I'm screwed. This is terrible. I am not happy at all.

We are very disappointed in our purchase,it took 3 refrigerators to get one half acceptable, they ALL had deep scratches, it had to come from your company that way as it was wrapped tight when delivered, we finally gave up and kept the THIRD one scratch and all. No more Kitchen AIDS for us
