I am happy with it it's just very noisy and being brand new I wasn't expecting that. I like it, it has lots of room and I like different sections in the fridge, but the noise is bothering.

Ok but it has issues

Good refrigerator for keeping the food cold so far. The bottom full width drawer is the most un-useful drawer in the frig. To open this drawer, both doors must be fully open, and then you lift the door cover up to get items out of the drawer. Then, closing the drawer cover, 50 % of the time will not close until you center it between the two drawer sides, WPIB. It should be two drawers like the ones above it. It is also the deepest drawer in the frig. You can lose a whole loaf in the back of the drawer and never see it for months. The open door alarm will not keep you up at night because you won't hear it.

French Door Fridge

We woke up to our 20 year old Whirlpool side by side sitting in a pool of water, so we needed a new one immediately. Our local Do It Best had a beautiful model ready to be delivered. Unfortunately, the pretty stainless steel had been scratched by the warehouse before the store received it, and we wish that was not the case. In addition, the icemaker didn't work, and we had to have the store's appliance repairman come out and look at why. Other than those two things, we love our new refrigerator and are glad we could continue with another Whirlpool appliance. If there is a product that will remove the scratches left from a skid loader used badly, please let us know.

I'm happy I purchased a Whirlpool refrigerator. I have more room with the French doors than my side-by-side. I will not need to bend over or fight to get the drawers out to clean them. It's nice and roomy and it's a plus not to shove food around to find something. The freezer is spacious and having water and ice despenser on door panel is awesome.

Found our first refrigerator

Unique ice maker design

Looks nice, but ice maker not working

We bought bought our fridge over 6 months ago. It was working fine until recently, when it stopped dispensing ice. I will have to contact the company for warranty. I like the looks of the fridge, and it is nice having the fridge on the top, but I have noticed the fridge section has less storage space than my much older and smaller fridge. The icemaker takes up a lot of space in the fridge.

Love iice and water in the door!

I have had this fridge 6 mos now with no problem. It does what it should at this point and is beautiful. It's a french door freezer at the bottom. First 2 weeks it had condensation on gasket of freezer door, the top, .then it stopped. I'm thinking it was just adjusting. Ice and water in the door work perfect. Couldn't ask for better but it's been 6 mos. I did buy 5 year warranty. My old 1 was 20 years old and a whirlpool also, I was scared to buy new 1 cause of bad reviews.Hope this helps someone.

I'm really liking this fridge. Especially pleased with the space in the freezer. Much roomier and holds more compared to the side-by-side. Only disappointment is releasing the ice cube drawer. Button on the side of the tray is very stiff and this is the only place to find the "ice maker off" button. Takes three men and a boy to get the tray out!!

Excellent so far, we did have an issue so i contacted whilpool customer service and they straightened everything out simple as that. Now the only complaint i have is the short tube on the water dispenser, just wish it was a 1/2" longer. It is super hard to fill water bottles.

Bought this fridge to replace a 25 year old Whirlpool fridge that quit cooling. It seems to be a nice fridge for the money. The old fridges glass shelves and the freezer drawer were much sturdier in the new one. The old fridge had a nice solid freezer drawer and the new fridge is a wire rack bin. The smudge free exterior looks nice and is easy to clean.

I had a side by side previously and the freezer section was so small and it was like stacking a locker if you didn't have things just right everything was sliding out. The ice and water dispenser are very handy. It's very sleek and attractive.

Major Changes in 25 Years!

Purchased to replace a 25 year old Estate (Whirlpool) that suddenly developed unstable temperature control. New unit is much larger, with much more useful features. Both refrigerator and bottom freezer are larger, brighter, much quieter, and make organization and finding items much easier. Set to recommended temperatures of 38°F and 0°F, milk is icy and ice cream is hard. I have been unable to get customer service to provide information on the temperature calibration of the unit.

spacious organization

The upper portion is ideal for our use. It has many configuration of shelf options for an office of 15 people. Nothing gets buried. LOVE the long shallow drawer! It even holds pizza box or veggie tray with room to spare! Same for the freezer drawer. Only down side would be the ice maker/ dispenser could make more ice or at least be easier to add bagged ice to it as back up. The compressor or fan runs a bit loud.

Works Well With Useful Features

I really like the features and its quiet operation.The fit of exterior trim pieces in several areas is poor due to foam expanding insulation apparently pushing the trim out of position. Some foam residue on stainless surfaces- and due to warnings about using solvents on coated stainless, I guess that will just stay there. I was disappointed at the lack of door height adjustability of the right side door hinge- it’s not adjustable as shown in the manual. Dealer was great about adjusting level of refrigerator, but the doors will never be perfect without adjustable hinge. Whirlpool should put this feature back in.

Great ice maker storage bin

Have had this refrigerator for about 3 weeks. Love the ice maker it has a much larger storage bin than other models we looked at. My family of 4 uses a lot of ice and we never run out. Door ice/water dispense is great for large cups/thermos. Plenty of room in both freezer and fridge. Is a proven model, has been around for years. Price was good for quality of unit!

New version vs. Earlier version

We purchased this refrigerator to replace an earlier version of the same refrigerator, which was only three years old. The earlier version worked perfectly; we needed to replace it for personal reasons. We like upgrades Whirlpool incorporated into the new version. For example, the ice dispenser more accurately distributes ice vs. the earlier refrigerator: Your ice actually lands in your glass rather than on the floor. Also, the levers for the ice and water dispensers are larger and operate more easily; the tray below the dispensers is larger and slides out a bit for easier cleaning; when one of the doors is inadvertently left open, the display panel on the left door shows a red icon to signal you to shut the door. Inside, the new refrigerator seems more spacious and welcoming. We like the new version very much.

Whlpl WRF555SDFZ (French Doors Bottom Freezer)

Our previous refrigerator was a Whirlpool and lasted for 16 years, consequently, we decided to purchase another Whirlpool. Our old refrigerator had LED lights on 24/7 for the water and ice dispenser and in hindsight, we grew to dislike this feature as it literally lit up the entire kitchen at night. The new model did away with that feature and we appreciate that. The only reason why I didn't give the refrigerator 5 stars is due to the noise that the ice maker makes when it drops new ice - it's a bit loud. Having said that, I don't know if other manufacturers had better luck with this issue. You need to know that for the first 72 hours that the refrigerator is plugged in, the noise of ice dropping is enough to WAKE THE DEAD. Having said this, after 72 hours, after it has made more ice, the noise decreases substantially. Overall, we really like this refrigerator!

I have always used Whirlpool appliances and am very pleased. However, not sure if this is normal but the refrigerator is making a loud humming noise when running. Have noticed that it’s not constant as it initially was due to having it filled more. I can hear it in the morning when walking out of the bedroom. Will that eventually stop? Not sure.

I have had my new Whirlpool French Door refrigerator for about 2 weeks. I have been so happy with this refrigerator that I keep texting my daughter telling her how much I love my new refrigerator!! I had a side by side (not a Whirlpool) and I hated it. I used it for 13 years and finally decided I had had enough with trying to figure out how to cram all my frozen food into the freezer. Comparing this French door with my previous one that was in the house when I purchased it. I have always purchased Whirlpool/Maytag appliances. Whirlpool has a great product and so far, zero design flaws. Works great and has all the bells and whistles you need. I didn’t need the “smart” refrigerator. Looks good with fingerprint resistance and I like the ice jmaker in the fridge and door. Only complaint would be the sturdiness if the bins and freezer racks.

I have had my Refrigerator for a handful of months now. I am impressed with the ice maker! It keeps up with my family, which has always been an issue in my home in the past. The slide drawer is handy as well as the big wide open French doors. The freezer is a bit small; we also have a deep freezer to compensate my family of 4. Overall, I am happy with my purchase. The only issue we have is anything next to the freezer in the refrigerator compartment tends to freeze up a little bit from time to time. I would still recommend this item.

i have had my new Whirlpool Refrigerator for a little over a week. It replaces a 25 year Whirlpool Fridge. I love the French doors, so much more room. I can now have a whole watermelon in the Fridge. Also, now I don't have to worry about frozen foods falling out when the door is opened.

We are very happy with our new refrigerator. It is so bright inside and easy to see everything easily. The crisper drawers really help keep vegetables fresh. Surprised with the amount of room in the freezer. The one downside is the doors don't always shut, so you need to make sure that both are shut. Our old refrigerator had an alarm, but this one does not have an alarm, just a red light that the door is opened. It is easy to miss the light.

Looks good and has all the features I wanted. It’s much smaller internally than I thought. Frig space is taken up by the huge ice maker, which was a drawback when we looked at it, but we got it anyway. Last refrigeraytor we had, the ice maker was in the door and you couldn’t even see it. The ice maker is also very loud. The freezer is shy one tray from our last and I can really feel the difference of a missing drawer and no where to put extra ice. But all that said, these things are what’s important to me and they may mean nothing to someone else. It’s a beautiful appliance and works as promised.

Ice and water dispenser is not what I expected

I replaced an LG fridge with this whirlpool. I've had this new Whirlpool for about 6 weeks. The only complaint that I have is the ice dispenser. It's oval so I get as much ice on the floor as in my glass. The only way I can control the ice is to release the dispenser as soon as the ice starts to fall. I have to repeat this to get a glass full of ice. It's a real pain. The water dispenser is up a bit high so you have to squat down to make sure you are aligned with the spout. Since I do use both the ice dispenser and the water dispenser multiple times a day It's not the best situation. Otherwise this is a great fridge. It keeps everything nice and cold. Please fix the dispenser problem.

Almost every thing is great. Having a little problem with the icemaker. It makes a loud noise when its refilling the water to make more ice. The noise last for about 5-8 seconds. Called Whirlpool and they are sending a tech out ASAP awsome.

I purchased a Samsung refrigerator 4 yrs ago. I had nothing but problems with it.Ice maker constantly froze up, refrigerator would not cool properly, etc etc. Samsung takes forever to get repairs. Out of frustration, I asked the last serviceman if he was going to buy a new fridge, what would he purchase? He said Whirlpool. He has the least repair requests on Whirlpool appliances. That's all it took for me to get rid of the Samsung and purchase a Whirlpool!! I am so happy with my new refrigerator. I would recommend Whirlpool appliances to anyone looking for dependable appliances. I also have a stove, washer and dryer that are Whirlpool.

We can honestly say that the 36-inch Wide French Door Refrigerator is the best investment we have ever made. It has so much room inside and is so easy to organize our food and with the refrigerator section with French doors on top, with the freezer in the bottom is Awesome. No more frozen food flying out of the freezer when you open the door. We drink lots of water at our home, and the separate filtered ice and water is a game changer. We are beyond Happy with our New Whirlpool Refrigerator.

Been using my new whirlpool refrigerator a month. I have a few design suggesions. The left door requires hand closing. There should be an arlarm when this door is accidently left open. The drawer should have more height. Cannot fit larger size dairy containers. The filter is ill placed and takes up too much storage space. The ice bin release button is difficult to press to release the bin for removal. Poor design of the release area. The perimeter of the bin seem to freeze to the refrigerator,The shelf right of the ice bin should be wider to hold carton (s) of eggs and a bottle of wine. Right now the width is only an egg carton wide.. The door storage should be bigger to hold jams, jellys, pickles, sauces. Some of the space is so narrow it is useless storage

I trust whirlpool products more than any other, although I am still reluctant about the refrigerator. It will have to last a very long time for my opinion to improve. I have had a lot of bad experiences with refrigerators. I also am disappointed at the lack of space in this model's cubic foot storage in the refrigerator. The ice machine is so big and takes up nearly what seems 1/8th which translates into a lot of space. It also eats up space in the door due to the dispenser. The only thing I liked about my last refrigerator which was an LG french door equivalent was the amount of free space.

Ice fall without jamming, temps hold perfectly, all drawers and shelves holding without issue (although wish little door shelves under ice maker attached a bit tighter so they don't luft off if water bottle cling to them). All in all a very good experience.

6 months of ownership. All Whirlpool appliances were included. I don’t have a good opinion of any of them yet. The refrigerator is the noisiest one I’ve ever had. Runs non stop, the ice maker is like an earthquake and water accumulates daily on top of the freezer outer door seal.

overall, serves the purpose. Major concern is that it makes loud noise for several hours while it makes ice after the ice has been removed through the icemaker. How do we get it to work smoothly without any noise while it makes ice each time for several hours? It is really a disturbance in an open kitchen and everyone gets affected listening to the loud ongoing noise for hours together.

The icemaker takes a lot of space in the refrigerating compartment and makes placing food items in there super inefficient, which is also not helped by shelves reinforcements in the middle. For some reason my previous fridge didn't have to have those. Super noisy. It is crazy how little refrigerant they put in now and the poor thing has to work hard day and night.

It works but the ice maker mess up when you pull it out to dump ice. You have to somehow make sure the flap is correct or it will do crushed ice all the time. It is very cheaply made so I hope it at least lasts the full 5 years of my warranty but then I’m in trouble. I had a GE before and it was great but after 14 years it went out.

Not sure about the overall refrigerator quality, but the water filter needs replacement in less than 4 months. And it is in a rental house not subject to every day use. So I can only give it a 3 rating (middle indicates not sure). If it is just for the water filter rating, I would give it a 0 or 1

I think I should have stuck with the side by side like I had before. The contour of the interior wastes space. I miss the egg compartment. The ice maker is huge and takes too much space. The meat compartment could have been split in order to open it with only one door open. I don't know what the compartment in the left door is good for. The freezer seems small and much care is needed in order to open and close drawer.

Poor Quality

The quality of the refrigerator is less than stellar. There is a small scratch on the left door. Two times Wilson Appliance received a replacement door. Both were scratched worse than the original. In addition the doors are not aligned well. The technician called Whirlpool and was told there is no way to make adjustments to the doors. We did not receive the plug for the water filter. Still trying to get one. Whirlpool doesn't seem to care about quality. So sad we can't get a quality product.

I purchased this refrigerator a little over a month ago. I would probably return it, if it wasn’t so difficult to do. The ice machine is VERY loud. Also, the left door handle is loose. I purchased this because I have had success with Whirlpool in the past, but this appliance is a disappointment. I do have to say that I like the spacious freezer and the wire drawers.

Refrigerator shortcomings.

Bought 2 months ago. Dissatisfied with some functionality. The freezer drawer is a little hard to open, the basket does not slide easily in the freezer, and the entire drawer closes on the right side a little bit sooner than the left side. Therefore, we make sure every time we close the freezer drawer that we push in on the left side to make sure it is fully closed on both sides. ALSO, the left door NEVER closes on its own if the right door is closed. The left door must be pushed to close. If the right door is open, the left door usually closes on its own, but not always. Also, the shelves have a pull out feature to bring the food closer to you, but they are hard to pull and jars usually fall if we try to pull on the shelves. .

I bought this about 2 weeks ago..I'm not happy with the amount of ice that the ice maker holds. it automatically shuts off until you empty or use it. Also, it condensates around freezer door. The settings can only be set to a certain temperature. That is to low for someone who is not in the refrigerator or freezer very often. The doors have to be completely open or it will shut on you.

Beware the icemaker/water dispenser

We bought this refrigerator in October 2024 and it is really nice EXCEPT for the icemaker and water dispenser. Already had to have warranty work to replace the water valve to the icemaker within the first week of use. The door water dispenser is so slow that we just dispense the ice into our cups and fill from the sink faucet.

Decent refrigerator but some quirks/issues. #1 issue is that the door design does not permit opening the right crisper drawer unless both refrigerator doors are open. That's just odd. The other issue is that the evaporator fan is relatively loud when it runs. Will keep an eye on it to see if it's a warranty issue. On the plus side, the extra ice capacity and fast ice delivery is awesome.

The great disappointment

I bought this a month ago and it already has a louder than normal (annoying) hum. If the right door is closed first, the left door won't close without a forceful push. Since there's no alarm we've found the door open numerous times because the door hadn't fully closed. We do appreciate the tray racks were reinforced with metal. We wouldn't buy this product again. Also, the ice dispenser fails when ice gets too full.

Purchased 3 weeks ago, not sure yet whether I like it. The recommended temperature for the refrigerator is not cold enough. Limited spacing in the refrigerator and lots of space in the freezer. Both doors have to be open pull out the crisper drawers in the refrigerator. When open, the left door cannot be closed unless you open the right door. Wish there had been a floor sample at the store. Eventually I get use to it.

This refrigerator is runs very loud. The water/ice maker filter is a new design that is not easy to find and most places do not carry it yet and is very expensive. The lighting is not as good as my previous refrigerator. Overall, I would not recommend buying this model refrigerator.

It works fine as a fridge... but if you are a bottle-filler-from-door, don't buy this product. The smallest possible stream of water comes out of the opening. It takes over 2 minutes (I timed it) to fill a normal sized gym water bottle.

Do not know if I trust this unit to work when away

Don't trust this unit to work properly. Temp has risen a few times and we were not sure why but couldn't determine the problem and it began working again. Seems to cool sporadically and not when you think it should be. Almost as though it shuts itself off for a while at times even when the doors were opened a few times and it should have been trying to cool the temp back down.

Mediocre Refrigerator

We purchased this refrigerator about 6 months ago. Although it is 25 cubic feet it feels small inside. The set-up inside isn't very appealing to me. You can't really set 2-liter bottles in the space without taking out important shelves. And the ice make takes up a lot of space, which is very disappointing. With my last Whirlpool it was in the door so you didn't lose any shelf space. The 2 "shelves" on the left are extremely narrow and don't hold much. Freezer drawer is pretty standard. Other than those issues it works well keeping things cold and frozen. Because my last Whirlpool refrigerator only lasted 4 years and I'm not happy with the interior set-up of this one, I will probably try a different brand of refrigerator whenever I need another one.

This was supplied by the builder. While it serves the purpose, we will upgrade at some point. The overall capacity is too small. Also, there is a grinding noise in the ice maker. I will need to have Whirlpool follow up on this to see if this can be corrected.

Poor engineering

This product has 2 slide out lower drawers. There is a center rail that supports the drawers. Unfortunately, the engineering of this rail was not thoroughly tested to absorb everyday use. This part has already broken 5 times. It is also very difficult to reach anyone to either discuss this issue or to order a replacement part. Additionally, other components are flimsy. Would not recommend.

Poor quality issue with French Door Refrigerator

Our 2023 Whirlpool French Door Refrigerator has been a big disappointment. After only 5 months the seals on the door were cracking and needed to be replaced. The Tech who came out to our house told us that he had replaced 5 of these exact seals in the last month and the quality issue was well known within the industry. I contacted Whirlpool and I was given an additional one year warranty on the refrigerator and given specific instructions on how to open & close the French Doors to prevent the seals from breaking. Unfortunately, the seals are cracking & breaking off again and only after one month out of the extended warranty. I sincerely believe the door seals on this refrigerator are either defective or a poor design. All of the appliances in our house are Whirlpool because I had always thought they had the best quality. I now think I was wrong and need to file a complaint with the State of Ohio Attorney Generals Office. Maybe they can investigate if this refrigerator seal issue is truly a known defect problem.

Disappointed!

Our refrigerator is just over a year old. On the inside of the right refrigerator door the rubber seal is ripped on the upper corner of door. It’s greasy and now when we close the door, it’s leaving grease on both of the outside doors. The other issue is the ice dispenser on the outside left door. It gets jammed when using the cube selection. We have to open the door and find where the jam is. It’s either in the ice tray or in the door chute.

A piece of plastic. Some plastic racks would fall off and are very flimsy. There are already cracks in the glass. Our last fridge was a Samsung and felt sturdy without any cracks within the first 2 weeks. It came with the doors not shut completely. There is already ice buildup within the first week as a result. I tried contacting Whirlpool support and wrote a detailed account. Nobody responded. I highly regret getting this fridge and will bite the bullet to buy bosch or subzero in the future.

Disappointed in ice maker

We purchased ours several years ago and have had service on the ice maker several times we have a 5 year warranty and the guts have been replaced our issue isn't with making ice but getting it to drop out the cubes get stuck together continuously and we have to manually get them out and not an easy task as the unit is in a tight space. At this point we hate this unit didn't plan on having a thumping noise every time we tried to get ice.

Our of the pocket Expenses for repair

Avoid this model or similar ones available. We purchased this appliance in June, 2024. We are into our fourth service call to repair the ice maker. The first was within three months of the initial purchase date. BTW the icemaker is not a Whirlpool product, it is made by another company and installed by Whirlpool. This repair includes an out-of-the pocket expense to repair/replace. We were informed by the service spokesperson that ice makers located in the refrigerator portion have the most problems, whereas, icemakers in the freezer portion of the appliance do not. This appliance's icemaker is located in the refrigerator portion. The available space in our kitchen is limited, so we needed to find a model that "fit". Our experience with this model has not been satisfactory. And yes this produce is "Poor".

I will never buy a Whirlpool appliance. My Refrigerator came with my new home 3 years ago. In less than a year, the ice maker went out. It was replaced under warranty. Then, not long after that it went out again and Whirlpool sent out someone to fix it. Although the icemaker worked after that now, 3 years later, the freezer and fridge just went out and I lost everything.

Poorly designed door seals that are splitting

Shortly after moving in during November 2024, the weather stripping on both door seals split and my fix has been duct tape several times and it's only February of 2025. I would expect the designers knowing the doors would be opened and closed many times, would have selected a product that is thicker and more durable. This model allows for small quantities of ice from the door but the design doesn't allow for larger quantities.

I hate this fridge. The cooling is very uneven. Anything at the back gets frozen. We even had the thermostat replaced and it didn’t help. The large shelf had one plastic support piece which broke, leaving the shelf to sag and is now supported by the drawers (so they don’t open and close well). Storage space is broken up because of the massive ice/water dispenser. It’s hard to make room for much — especially with the freezing issue. Only one half of one level has enough head clearance for milk and anything else that’s tall. The top freezer drawer doesn’t pull in and out smoothly— it goes crooked if you don’t do it just right.

I received my refrigerator on 26 November 2024. The refrigerating side is good. However, there is an inherent issue as the icemaker never worked. The service technician came twice, but the problem still has not been resolved. It begs to ask the question of the quality control of manufactured products. So I have a Christmas season without any ice from the icemaker and continue to source ice from elsewhere. Also the built in capacity of the ice collection is very small in comparison with other refrigerators is very small and inadequate. So in the end I am a very dissatisfied customer.

I have had my refrigerator for less than a month. For the first week I didn't use it much and after getting moved in, I tried opening my freezer and it was frozen shut. Took alot to get it open. I have had to defrost it some to get a lot of the built up ice out. Light no longer works. Not as happy as I hoped with this refrigerator. Replaced an Amana that was 12 yrs old, which we were very happy with. This Whirlpool fridge has an extremely loud buzzing noise it’s seems it could be when the water is filling the ice cube trays. When the water is dispensed out the door it’s quiet. I don’t know if it’s a defect the loud buzzing noise or if it’s normal for this model. But if I call a repair person I’ll be charged. I feel stuck. Also, the water dispensed comes out warn not cold, flavor it’s great either. My Amana the water was cold and tasted great.

I had virtually the same refrigerator that lasted 10 years prior to getting this one. This one is so cheaply made it's unbelievable. When the ice tray drops the ice it sounds like I'm at a bowling alley and somebody got a strike. When the water goes to fill the ice now, there's a loud buzzing sound while it's filling. The quality of all the other parts are much more flimsy than the previous model I had. Very, very disappointed in whirlpool quality.

I'm disappointed in our new refrigerator. If the left-hand door isn't pushed hard to close it, it does not close entirely... in spite of the fact that the light on the display goes out. All of the inner components are flimsy as well.

Whoever designed the ice cube maker to be in the refrigerator section should be punished, blacklisted, and prevented from ever designing another refrigerator. We can’t keep most produce in the refrigerator because it keeps being frozen within a day. Temperature says 41F on thermometer, but still kills leafy produce, like lettuce. There is no “happy” setting, we’ve tried everything. The icemaker frequently stops working and I have to go buy bags of ice, until it feels like working again. Also, the ice chute clogs often and causes big messes due to its poor design. The trays and drawers are cheap plastic and broke quickly. We had to replace the water valve and ice tray fill waterline within a few years. Freezer has very little room while the top section has plenty of space (except where the ice maker sits). I wish we had never considered this unit, but now I know what to avoid in future purchases: ice-makers in refrigerator; in-door ice/water dispensers; French doors; expensive and fancy looking appliances.

water comes out too slow

We bought this on August 16th 2024. Upon purchase, we were not told that the refrigerator was a year old model. It has scuff marks on the upper right corner under Whirlpool, the drawers were not installed correctly, the temperature is running too high, etc.

If you don't mind not using the freezer its great

I bought 6 months ago and the freezer does not want to work. It will have water right on the seal of the freezer sitting. I have went to get in the freezer several times and it was defrosting, it has happened multiple times. I will make sure it is shut before bed,it will still have water on the top seal and defrosting. Besides the freezer it has been great the fridge section has been awesome and has given us plenty of room.

Refrigerator icemaker

Icemaker stopped working. Hired a repairman from Home Depot (where I bought refrigerator) to fix. He wanted over $600 to repair. I told him to forget it and I would not purchase a Whirlpool appliance again. This refrigerator was only two years old.

Organizational Disaster

I have had this for approx 3 weeks and it is so very loud! I also dislike the amount of space the ice maker takes up, as this makes the remainder of the fridge an organizational disaster. Not very much room for tall things like water bottles or cartons of milk. The fridge does stay cold and the freezer has a lot of open space.

Doubt it will last long

I have had this refrigerator for four years and have had a problem with mold build up on all the rubber seals. Have to clean it constantly. Had problems with it freezing the items in the vegetable bin. Repairman said I can't use the small shelf nest to the ice maker, somehow putting items there causes the ice maker to put out too much cold air. About every 1-2 months the icemaker stops making ice and I have to shake the ice bin to get it to start working again. Seems like they should know how to build a refrigerator by now

I bought this 7 days ago and it is not working correctly, service call on day 4 of ownership and still did not fix the problem, another service call this week to see if problem can be corrected. I have no confidence in the appliance going forward, should be taken back and switched out!!

I like Whirlpool products for their durability and this refrigerator is nice enough. However, I wish I had seen it before purchasing it online for I probably wouldn't have bought it. Useable inside space is small since the ice maker takes up half of the top shelf. Add to that, the shelves, particularly the tiny one in the middle, is close to useless resulting in a refrigerator that is too small for a family, let alone a couple (assuming you like a stocked refrigerator). Also, while I appreciate its purpose, I find the flap on the left door to be irritating in that to use the right door, you must also open the left door so it can close correctly. That feature really defeats the purpose of double, side-by-side doors, where one only wants to open the side they need. (Having said that though, on my last LG refrigerator, the seal between the doors was a problem so I guess it's the lesser of two evils.

Very loud

This is a very expensive refrigerator so I expected more, it it so loud. The motor constantly runs and I can hear it two rooms away. The ice maker is extremely loud, I wake up in middle of night thinking Im hearing gun shots, its awful.

The quality of appliances just aren’t what they used to be. We definitely got downgraded as this fridge has cheap materials and you have to be super careful with opening and closing the doors. Less room. But ya, just overall the material is lower quality.

Not-so great features

I bought this refrigerator earlier this month and have mixed feelings about the purchase. The shelves are shallow and have a hard time fitting all items in a logical and efficient manner. One of the moisture adjustment levers for produce and vegetables drawers is broken so that’s disappointing.
