Ready to touch your toes?

Best looking and most useful refrigerator out there sans 1 thing: the pulls on the refrigerator drawers are at the BOTTOM :( This means having to bend ALL the way to the bottom of the frig to open the bottom drawer, think touch your toes! PLEASE change the drawer pulls so I can purchase this LOVELY refrigerator!!!

Modern and Sleek in Appearance

I’ve had my LG refrigerator a few weeks and so far I’m pleased with my purchase. I really like the modern look of the unit and that was the driving force behind my purchase. Of concern is the ice-maker. My household is one person and the ice-maker barely keeps up with my needs. I’m not sure how it would do with a large household. I also find the ice-maker loud but it’s manageable. All in all I like the refrigerator. If possible I would purchase a larger model because freezer space is limited in this size but if kitchen space is limited this is a great option.

Nice Ice Dispenser

I’ve had my LG refrigerator a couple of weeks now and I am very pleased. I replaced an older model refrigerator that had lasted many years. This LG model looks great and makes my kitchen look more upscale and modern. I like the in door ice dispenser. It is circular and helps prevent ice from falling onto the floor while being dispensed. My family is small so the ice maker produces an adequate amount of ice but I’m not sure it would be sufficient for a larger family. I purchased the counter depth and while there is less space inside, it fits in my space perfectly. All in all this refrigerator is what I need but does not provide a lot of extra space. I would purchase again.

Almost Perfect

We bought this LG fridge last month. It’s been great. Only 2 things are lacking: a small deli drawer to hold cheese and lunch meats and a curved sideways wine shelf. We miss them, but I made due with a store-bought plastic bin. The wine bottle fits just fine all by itself.

Stylish with a lot of room

After much searching, we decided on this counter-depth fridge for it's stylish look and the amount of room it had. So far we really enjoy it. After having a french-door style fridge, we decided to go back to a side by side. I like that the in-door ice maker is on the freezer side, which will hopefully eliminate some of the issues that french-door refrigerators have with in-door ice. We like having freezer space at eye-level too. Our freezer contents are much easier to organize and easily accessible. The fridge has a lot of room too, especially for a counter-depth. I'm also impressed with the door cooling vents that keep door contents just as cool as the rest of the fridge. We opted for the platinum silver color, which matched our other stainless appliances.

Good if you don’t like ice cream

Great but hate the ice maker. I’ve had the refrigerator for almost a week and the ice maker makes me wish I had never gotten it. The ice comes out shaved before you ever get cubes. It’s the worst. Makes a huge mess. Other than that it’s great.

I have several concerns with the new refridgerator. The refridg drawers open from the bottom of each drawer rather than the top. Sometimes it is hard to bend to open them. Secondly it would have been nice for the shelves in both the freezer and fridg be adjtable to accomodat high products.

Seems like a good fit

So far so good. I have only had the refrigerator for about two weeks now but I have no complaints. I had it delivered then installed myself and it was incredibly simple. Seems a plenty spacious for food for myself and my son, could get a little pressed for space for a larger family but that’s with any side by side I’m sure. It looks nice. Water filter/ice are doing great.

One year review

We bought this a year ago and it has performed as you would expect from a refrigerator-no functional problems. The only item we ran into was the push bottom on inside of the door area to activate water filter monitoring after a filter change. You need to press "firmly" on the button. The instruction booklet does not mention to push firmly. Service tech cleared that " misunderstanding up within a minute. We like the no hand doors on this model as we have a middle island and it gives a slightly larger area between them as well as a cleaner look.

Great features and Sleek design

Our refrigerator of 17 years just broke. And I mean the entire door fell off and there was no way of putting it back. The pieces holding it fell apart. So, quickly we needed to find something. We had heard wonderful reviews about LG so that was our first to look at. We loved that the one that was showcased in the store had a counter depth option because we have very limited space in our kitchen and very tight space to move the old one out and new one in its place. We have had this new refrigerator for a few weeks now and we love it! I love that it doesn't have handles, its sleek look, that there is no water tray in the water filter on the front (as ours always got calcium build up) and love the inside spaciousness with the water filter in the refrigerator side. Ours was on the very bottom, outside and not convenient. We also like how the ice dispenser in on the door and doesn't take shelf space away like our other one did. So needless to say we are very HAPPY so far!

New purchased so I cannot comment on durability. Overall I am very pleased. Refrigerator is designed well with thoughtful design that takes in accout of storage of a variety of sized items. Only minor complaint is on the drawers. I do not like the handle on the bottom of the drawers.

Got it on Aug 26, 2023. Drawers at the bottom should have handels on top not at the bottom. Should be one small drawer underneat one of the shelfs for small items. Water dispencer should have its touch for each option(water, cube ice, crushed ice). Good fridge. Would be nice if i could control thru app.

It is very roomy, cools well, and the finger print resistive brushed chrome matches our other appliances.

This is an excellent refrigerator and fits perfectly in my kitchen. I ordered counter depth and it lines up with my counter. I just wish one of the storage drawers was at the middle level instead of the bottom tier. I was able to purchase two installable drawers from Amazon and they fit just right. The refrigerator does an excellent job at keeping my food cold and the freezer does just the same!

Ice maker broke after <7 months

We brought the fridge to uprade from our previous fridge which lasted >10 years. Within 7 months, the ice maker broke. Called LG and they were able to send someone to repair it for free (under warranty). Other than that no issues with the fridge.

Had ice maker issues, but has been resolved. Not happy that the crisper & cheese/meat drawers do not have a humidity control slide control on the drawer. Items go bad too quickly, & you should not have to wrap everything up as that speeds up decay process sometimes.

Had now a few weeks no issues what so ever very spacious even though shelves aren’t adjustable they are spaced that don’t need to be adjusted door bins are large and very functional lighting is good really like the smaller ice cubes temperatures in freezer and fridge consistent to setting as far as noise quiet really quiet someone had posted when opening doors would hit their foot don’t really understand that for no problem here opening doors and hitting my feet like I said so far so good hopefully a year from now or 12 years from now it’s still operating with the five star rating

Sleek, shiny, quiet and holds a lot of food!

I’ve had my counter depth 23 cu ft LG for two weeks now and am very happy with it. In 6 hours it started making small ice cubes and dispenses the purified water quite quickly. The installer even noticed it. The door shelves are roomy enough to hold a a gallon of milk and all the bottles items. The only cons are as mentioned by other reviewers is the drawer pulls are at the bottom of the drawer which requires one to bend quite low to open the bottom drawers. The doors are only 1 3/4” off the floor so watch your feet! Overall, I would highly recommend this side by side.

After purchasing we discovered they put the wrong filter in and the water and ice compartment. The water tasted nasty and so did the ice. I called LG and we discovered the problem was the wrong filter. They are sending me the correct filter now.

This fridge allows me to see everything I have in the freezer and cooling sides. It holds a lot of food, and the door shelves are tall and deep to store a variety of bottles and cartons. The water and ice dispensers work perfectly. It is very quiet, and it is easy to wipe clean and shiny.

Perfect Fit for a Tight Space!

We recently bought a condo that needed all new appliances. We decided on LG for the whole kitchen plus a new LG TV. We have beautiful kitchen cabinets that we hated to rip out so that a refridgerator would fit under them. LG had the solution and we LOVE IT! The water and ice on the door is awesome. The side by side feature works well - while looking like a hip quad door unit. Highly recommended appliance!

Never thought I would love a refrigerator! This is so easy to organize my food. The doors close so easily. Always had the filtered water inside, but love it outside. It is counter depth and looks beautiful in my small kitchen. The side by side is great. I am 84years old and just finished remodeling my home!

We are enjoying our new LG side-by-side that we have had for 2 months. The door is easily opened and closed. The overall look/style is smooth and sleek - there are no visible door handles. The beep signal indicating that the door has been held open for too long is a bonus.. We wish that the refrigerator/freezer was sold with extra loose shelf bins for the open shelves of the refrigerator freezer. The bins could help with organizing the contents on the refrigerator/freezer shelves. We like that the icemaker is integrated with the freezer door. There are enough ice cubes for our use.

Good Value, sleek design

I purchased this refrigerator a month ago so far I am very happy. The interior is well lit although I’m somewhat disappointed the shelves aren’t adjustable. The ice maker is a bit loud when it dumps and refills but it is only takes a few seconds so bear able. I like that it is a side by side because I find it doesn’t have a lot of unusable space and everything is easy to get to. So far I’m very pleased

BoughtThis refrigerator about a month ago. When it was delivered the kitchen cabinet was about a half inch to short. The hight adjustment on the unit would not go down as low as the opposite one. We finally fit it in with some trimming. Water delivery system spigot does not work well when filling water bottles. I often wonder if engineers test features such as this to see how they work/

Really liking this fridge so far

We bought our new fridge just under a month ago and so far are really enjoying it. The door shelves in the refrigerator part seem sturdy and functional. I wish you could move some of the shelves throughout the fridge around a bit more, but it’s not a deal breaker. The one things I do think should have been designed differently though are the two bottom produce drawers. For some reason they put the handles on the bottom instead of the top which makes them harder to open (especially the very bottom drawer). The freezer also seems to work well and has plenty of storage space for our needs. Ice and water dispenser are nice and can fit a Nalgene water bottle. Overall, we are enjoying our new refrigerator.

This was not our first choice but we are happy with the product. It cools well, looks good and was a reasonable price. And it was available! This probably should have been our first choice as we wanted a counter depth fridge and this one actually has more space than most. Our only glitch has been the ice maker but LG has been attentive and has promptly responded.

Storage Space

I love all of the storage space. Both in the freezer and in the refrigerator. The directions for using the dispenser were not how it works and not being real familiar with technology took us a bit to figure out how it does work. Then we love it.

Not enough light

Omce you fill the fridge its dark inside due to the fact there's only one light all the way at the top back of the fridge. The drawer compartments need to have there pull handles on top rather then the bottoms. To open the lowest drawer you need to be almost on the floor. Not well throughout.

The doors have never closed properly and no matter what I do they slam. It makes a lot of noises and they are particularly bothersome in the middle of the night. The icemaker conked out after a year needed to be replaced. Thank goodness I bought an Extended warranty that covered it.

The shelves on the refridgerator dooe should be adjustable. The same for the freezer door. Also why did they have the drawers on the fridge side open from the bottom only. We have to bend too much to open

ice maker performance

purchased several months ago. find the recessed handles awkward to use. the ice maker makes too little ice. just two of us and both elderly. when relative comes to eat with us, usually run out of ice before meal over. ice cubes are small and appear almost crushed. ice maker stops making ice when ice container is approximately 60 percent full. recently on three occasions ice discharge has failed to turn off and has completely emptied the ice container.

Interior shelves are cheap

I bought the more 'modern' updated LG sided-by-side model without the handles. I thought everything else would pretty much be the same as my previous LG. However, the new design of the storage shelves is thin and less durable. They also put the slide access on the drawers underneath the drawers so you have to stoop down to the floor to open a drawer. Poor design. I

Not real happy

As a basic frig, it's ok, but ..ice bin is small & even just 2 people can easily run out of ice; supposedly has a smudgeproof finish, but it's not, & without handles you can't help but touch the actual door & leave smudges; drawers & shelves are not adjustable.

nice design but wifi fails on a new fridge

Very nice fridge, quiet, does what refrigerators are supposed to do, however the wifi to thin q app does not work even though there is a connect button inside. no indicator of connection, no led, no connect to ipad or iphone. App shows the fridge that I entered but indicates not assigned. Will not recognize wifi or bluetooth.

Needed some design improvements for me

take the bottom drawer why have the handle on bottom of drawer, makes you just to bend over more to open should be on top of drawer ( who are your designers must be younger) Then ice and water, most of the time so I touch for ice you tell us to hit ice first then I have hit button again goes to crush ice then hit again to get my water its just one more move to get water (another program flaw to me) just need it to be easier. Why not Ice, water, crush ice, water, sure save me time, but again probably young programmers

dumb design flaw

There was a stupid design flaw. By making the bottom drawers open at the bottom of each drawer, it is very difficult to bend down far enough to open the drawers, especially for older people. I ended up making a dumb hack by attaching clips to the top of each drawer to make opening easier. It looks very inelegant but it works. It's otherwise a great appliance.

The bottom plastic shelf where the milk goes randomly broke. This is ridiculous as there wasn't much in the shelf. It's been only slightly over a year since purchase. Dont have anything good to say about this brand refrigerator.

Beware: glass freezer shelf may shatter

Brand new fridge delivered 3 weeks ago. Works well and otherwise seems like a quality product but today the top glass freezer shelf spontaneously shattered. Upon opening freezer door, I discovered contents of the entire freezer covered in a million tiny, many invisible, shards of glass. Hundreds of dollars worth of food in freezer is a total loss. Hours of cleaning (and bleeding) and vacuuming later, we are still finding minuscule shards of glass I’m the freezer cavity and all over the floor. There was very little weight placed in the glass, no sudden change in temperature. It truly seems just to have shattered on its own, overnight.

Terrible ice machine

This product has been terrible. 3rd lg fridge and the last we will own. The ice machine is completely inefficient for a family. It’s been replaced once already to remedy the issue. In 2 days it still doesn’t fill the ice bin. The tiny cube size definitely doesn’t help.

Drawbacks

The door alarm is so annoying, goes off after brief periods, & wakes others when used at night. The alarm would prevent me from making this purchase again. I have to repeatedly clean the exterior door diebto finger prints. It also measures a depth of 28.5", 4" beyond my standard counter tops. It makes very limited amounts of ice compared to my previous freezers.

Make sure there is ALOT of space for fridge to sit

We measured our space per LG instructions. We got the Refrigerator in, and it looked really nice. But after about a half an hour of being plugged in, we noticed the cabinet NEXT to the refrigerator getting awfully hot. The vent is in the back of the fridge which does not let the air escape. We had to pull the fridge out a half a foot just to let enough air escape to not get hot. The vent needs to be in the front on the bottom. Poorly designed!

I BOUGHT THIS OVER A YEAR AGO AND HAD IT SERVICED SEVERAL DUE TO THE ICE MAKER. IT NEVER WORKED & IF WE GOT A CUP OF ICE, WE WERE LUCKY. LG JUST BRUSHED US OFF LIKE WE WERE NOTHING. WE HAVE ALWAYS BOUGHT LG BECAUSE OF THEIR QUALITY AND SERVICE, BUT NOT ANYMORE. WE OWN 3-LG TVS, A WASHER AND DRYER AND NOW A FRIGERATOR THAT DOES NOT WORK. WE NOW HAVE IT IN OUR GARAGE & WILL NEVER BUY LG OR RECOMMEND THEM TO ANYONE.

Broke after 2 months

After 2 months, the refrigerator completely shut off. No power whatsoever. LG put me in touch with a technician and while the technician was quick to respond, LG wasn't at all regrading my food reimbursement. I'd receive random texts saying they were on it but then no one would respond when I tried to follow up. Still no word.......

The Slowest ice maker.Store ice necessity to get.

Hello. Ice maker cannot keep up with just myself even after preloading it with ice from the store. Unfortunately there are other people in my house as well. Ice turn out about every 2-3 hours and they are small cubes. The doors are very low to the ground so you will scrape off the top of your feet if you don’t stop and think every time you open the refrigerator. Not what you should have to do while trying to get some breakfast out first thing in the morning. Nope. Ouch. I would like to return it but who has time for that. This fridge is a bust!

Looks nice but doesn’t work

We have had nothing but problems with our unit since the day it was delivered. This model has a design flaw, the water line runs behind the crisper drawer and freezes so you have no ice or water in the door. LG’s solution is to unplug the unit at night. I would suggest staying away from this model until the design has been changed.

Lack of Flexibility & Function

This refrigerator is not designed with flexibility in mind. The shelves are at a set height and cannot be adjusted. The drawers don’t open unless the doors are open all the way, so there are lots of scratches on the doors. The ice maker is very slow at replenishing ice. Using the Ice Plus option doesn’t increase production as advertised. The water filter is very difficult to replace. It takes a lot of strength to put in, and the plastic housing feels like it will break at any time.
