Great style, very new, we’ll see

I have a very small kitchen that was decades outdated. The big beige refrigerator was the only thing you could see. This beautiful, stainless, counter depth, 24” refrigerator changed the whole look of the renovation. I love it!! That being said, i Did not give it five stars for a couple of reasons. Other reviewer‘s said that food froze in one area at the back of the refrigerator and the produce and freezer drawers were cheap plastic bins. That is true, however as I’m the only one using it I can decide what gets placed where in the refrigerator and it’s unlikely that I will be abusing the drawers like kids might. They could have trimmed out the drawer edges to assure durability. But there are many things that I love about the refrigerator. First of all it looks great, it has a very euro style which goes well with my renovation. There there’s a lot of room in this refrigerator… Plenty of shelf space, very good arrangement on the door and it holds a lot. The freezer is more than adequate for me, the icemaker works great. It is very quiet! I love the bright LED side lights. Overall it’s a win. As I said in the subject line, it’s only been in use for a couple of weeks and I hope there are no issues that others have Add. So far I love this refrigerator

Refrigerator door scrapes freezer door

This refrigerator keeps everything cold appropriately and has good accessibility but the hinge on the bottom of the refrigerator door scrapes on top of the freezer door. It is audible. We have had a repairman come fix it. The problem was good for a couple of weeks but it has gone back to the way it was. We’ll have to call for another repair.

Love the small size, appearance minimal and sleek. interiors have so much flexibility with adjustable shelves and bins. Perfect for this new empty nester! ice maker is a bit loud and would be nice if there were better glides in the freezer drawers. would love a water dispenser, but I knew there wasn't one when I bought it - suggestion for future model.

Stylish fridge/freezer

I purchased this in Sept 2021 and the entire unit stopped working in Aug 2022. Waiting on parts. Glad it is still under warranty. But waiting on parts for such a new appliance is really a drag...going 3+ weeks without a fridge. Otherwise, I love it! Flexible shelves and drawers inside. Ice in the freezer.

I bought this fridge for my apartment after looking at the European brands that were like 3x the cost, and those didn't even have ice makers! I'm not even sure there are many options with ice makers, but it was important to me since I entertain often. There seems to be a space for everything in this fridge, and when I have a big item that doesn't seem to fit, a shelf or door bin easily slides out of the way without me having to unload it. I love the fast drink feature. I popped in a bottle of rose into the freezer and an alarm went off after 30 minutes to remind me to remove it so it didn't freeze (which was great, because I was getting a meat and cheese board together for guests and had forgot!). Overall, I've found it a really thoughtfully designed fridge with space for everything.

I purchased this for a 2BR apartment and it's perfect. Given the small size, using it requires some discipline, but the design team packed in all features normally found in a full sized refrigerator. Perfect choice for a 1-2 BR apartment.

I bought a bottom freezer,counter depth model and find it to be much easier to access than my old style was. This style is so much easier for an old person get things from back in the rear of the unit and from the freezer.

More pros than cons

We have a small kitchen, so we wanted to down size our appliances. our kenmore frig and range did well for 30 years, but both needed serviced, so we thought it was time to replace them. So we looked for smaller refrigerator/freezer units, we came across the one, after purchasing a Whirlpool Dryer. We have had it up and running for a little under 2 weeks now. It’s a great frig. The features for us were a big plus, now that my wife and I are the only ones living here. The bottom freezer is great, ice maker a plus, but the storage drawer layout is what I like most, we also recovered 8 ft of square footage! It’s not a perfect appliance, the settings for freezer and fridge have preset settings. Ak(43, 39, 36, 34).

Pleasing to the eye

I’ve had this new refrigerator for just over a week. It has clean features (digital face), chills fantastic, easy to clean inside, drop down shelves, plenty of bins for a slimline model. When the manager noticed a wheel was missing, she ordered one and let me know they would be back later to install it.

I purchased this same unit last September and the unit stopped cooling as well. Whirlpool sent a repair person out and unit could not be repaired so whirlpool replaced it as promptly as possible. We are happy with the new unit and the service from Whirlpool.

Sleek and roomy

Purchased in August and came not chilling despite the motor running. A couple months later I received a new unit which I have own for two months and runs fine. There is a lot of room for this well designed apartment size fridge. Quiet and the outside door display is discreet for a modern looking kitchen.

We purchased the counter-depth refrigerator about a month ago for our camp retreat. We needed a refrigerator that was quiet, could cool down quickly, and had both refrigerator and freezer. We also had limited space, so being 2 feet wide was perfect. A medium sized appliance loaded with features that looks good.

The refrigerator is quite loud. There is a humming, similar to loud fluorescent lights that continues on and off, so I am assuming when the cooling mechanism (compressor?) kicks in. I have a technician from Kettle Moraine Appliances, where I purchased the unit, scheduled to come out on Wednesday to take a listen.

Good features, poor manufacturing, good warranty

Our fridge was purchased in fall 2020 amidst COVID manufacturing shortages and we waited until winter for it to be delivered. By the last week of June 2021, we had trouble keeping the fridge compartment at temperature (it was too high). A Whirlpool repair tech was sent out as part of the warranty (thank you!) and discovered that there were some controls needed to assist the freezer in defrosting that were not installed, leading to the air being blocked to the fridge or some such thing. Because those parts are unavailable, WP is now going to send us a new fridge. So they do have a very responsive and responsible warranty program and we appreciate that a lot. I would recommend the extended warranty. On the other hand, we love the retractable shelf and drink caddy, and find that it holds a great deal more than our last fridge by another maker of the same size. The fridge door shelves hold a lot, are easily cleaned and are really as adjustable as they seem online. The ice maker unit cannot easily be removed, so if you wanted to just use the full top shelf in the freezer, you cannot do so, as it has a hole in it for the ice to drop through. It would be nice to design the shelf so it can do either.

Don't buy, poor performance and very short life.

We bought this fridge 2.5 years ago. The top portion cools poorly, always has been that way, even with their temperature control set as cold as it will go. Now the top portion (the refrigerator part) is room temperature nearly all the time, food is spoiling like it was set on the countertop instead of being refrigerated, but the door's display indicates everything is fine. Inside the fridge is about 60 degrees F. Don't buy one of these, it is a waste of your hard-earned money. My last refrigerator lasted 44+ years before I bought this one, and it was still working when we traded it for this piece of junk, but cosmetic parts were impossible to find for the old one. I wish we'd never traded: now, in retirement, we haven't enough $$ to buy another refrigerator to replace this one.

Had Issues from the Get-go...now it just stinks

I have had nothing but trouble with this fridge since I bought it. I've had parts replaced, finally got a replacement fridge, and now the fridge has a horrible smell. It's coming from the vent in the back that cools each shelf. There is no way to remove the cover on the vent in the back of the fridge to clean behind it. I have emptied, cleaned, re-cleaned and have put all kinds of deodorizer in the fridge, but it just stinks.

Failed after 2 weeks

This fridge was new in a house I purchased June 29,2023. It cooled for two weeks then had a catastrophic failure of the condenser. Whirlpool won’t replace. Nor will the dealer. It took weeks to get a repairman to diagnose the problem. I will never buy a Whirlpool product again.

No Sealed System Warranty - DO NOT BUY

I can't believe they are still selling this model

I bought this model in December 2020 and in August 2022, it stopped cooling. Same story as many of the other reviews here. I got it fixed but last week, it stopped cooling again and my repair person said it was the same issue - the control board part. Now, we can't buy the part to fix it again because Whirlpool doesn't make it anymore. How are you selling this model still if we can't buy the parts to repair a persistent issue? I reached out on Facebook like many of the replies to the reviews have asked us to and its been radio silence.

Died after 4 months

I love the look, size and functionality of this refrigerator - but it stopped cooling after 4 months of use. Because it’s a new model it was a challenge to find a company that was qualified to come service it. Whirlpool found a company for me but they weren’t available to come until next Monday. It will have been a month. Not a great experience.

great unit until the upper section decided to stop

i purchased this in aug. of 2021 and around may of 2022 the upper section lost its coolness. And are still trying to get it straightened out as i type this review. The top shelf goes up to 50 Degrees, and control is set @ 34 They have replaced every component except the compressor.

Freezer has problems

This is a cute, perfectly sized refrigerator for our small kitchen. The only problem we are having is the ice freezes into a solid block, icicles hang down from freezer ceiling, and frosty ice freezes onto the ceiling of the freezer which has to be scraped off every couple of weeks.

My biggest regret of 2020

I was so excited when I sae this sleek modern system at HomeDepot with the right dimensions for my old cottage home with very narrow entry ways. The unit was manufactured January 2020. I purchased in June 2020 Delivered in July 2020 Freezing and electronic issues started in October 2020. They refused to just accept that repair was not the right course. This after 4 tech visits to the home, the last guy left exposed wires. Parts ordered the wrong door. Ive beem waiting 2 months for 5 parts. I was told just last week from the repair or parts division that remaining unshipped parts are not available and now, FINALLY, I will get a new unit versus futile attempts to repair. I do not trust Whirlpool's manufacturing. I hate that I cant just get my money back to purchase another brand. I need a narrow fridge. This is practically their only unit that fits through my Narrow doorways. What are my options if I am done with this company after this experience????
