I wasn't a GE customer until my builder used GE appliances. These appliances work great and are very well designed. Lots of "human engineering " went into these products. I am impressed and very pleased with how they work. Simple intuitive controls are great.

Our new refrigerator is such a step up from what we had that it is hard to compare. We especially love the overall space. The grandkids love the water dispenser that senses your cup. Also, I am one who forgets to close the door so the alarm is much appreciated.

We just built our retirement home near the beach! We had this exact refrigerator in our home in Maryland so I knew exactly what I wanted here at the beach. This is soo spacious. Everything fits perfectly for my big family. I am purchasing the extended warranty as the autofill stopped working after a couple years. In all honesty we really didn’t need the autofill. Other than that it a fantastic refrigerator!

Beautiful refrigerator! Lots of space, the sensor autofill water dispenser is really nice. The door ice does not really make enough for summer as we use a lot. For that reason, we later added the IMD5 Optional ice maker for the freezer. Now we have 2 ice makers. The freezer one was a simple install, does not take up too much space and can be disabled if need be. It's pretty quiet, all around nice unit and looks awesome.

This is our second GE Profile refrigerator and we love the improvements over the old model. The doors close positively, preventing the kids from leaving the doors partially open. The adjustable shelving and space in general make configuring the space easy. The LED lighting makes seeing expiration dates and finding things easier. The unit looks great and runs quietly. Very happy with the unit!

This was installed yesterday so it’s a bit early for a thorough review, but I’ll give one so far nonetheless. I read a lot of reviews about this fridge being loud. I haven’t noticed that thus far. I love the shelf that can be folded in half to accommodate taller items like a gallon of milk, bottle of wine, or carafe of some sort. I also like how well lit it is inside. The best feature so far is the autofill button. I can just place any glass/cup/stainless steel container in the drink shelf on the door and select “autofill”. The fridge will fill it to the top with about an inch to spare.

I like the size of the fridge. The lining on the shelfs are so nice. The only problem was all the plasic when the refrigerator was built is stuck in between the rubber on the doors. Around the water ice maker. And its impossible to pull out. Cutting it isnt a option due to damaging the frig.

Only have had it 3 days. We love the inside - very easy to organize and see what you have for food. I love the door shelves and the shelves that go straight across in the fridge. The light is very bright. Love the autofill feature. We use it all the time. Cons - can be loud - hoping the fan won’t go out. The water spout drips.

Love my new fridge!!! It’s got so much room, it’s so much bigger than it seems and I love the flexible shelving. I also signed up for automatic water filter delivery so I never forget to change the filter. I get so many compliments from friends and family who visit on how much they love it. Especially like the turbo cool and freeze functions and the auto sensing water option. Best fridge ever!!!!!

We love the lighting. Freezer temperature does well. Wish the lower door shelf was more visible. I do see the step inside the refrigerator. Hard to remove plastic film from edges. I like that it has a similar appearance as my GE wall oven. The water dispenser lever scratches easily. The handle design is easy to clean. Love it.

I do love this fridge. We added the extra ice maker in the freezer which is so nice since the regular ice maker does not make a ton of ice. There are two things I don’t like about this fridge and they are both with the ice/water dispenser. First there is no backlight so I have to get my flashlight out a lot to see what button to push. Secondly, it doesn’t tell you how many ounces you are getting when you are filling water. My precious ge fridge had those features and I wish this one did. But other than that it is a great fridge.

This was a replacement for our previous refrigerator which I liked until it gave us a lot of problems twice and was not 5 years old yet. GE service was poor - we were without refrigerator for about a month each time and lost a lot of food. Hope to not have the same problem with this one.

In addition to the refrigerator, I also purchased the additional ice maker for the bottom freezer. The installation instructions were somewhat ambiguous and hard to follow. But, I persevered and got it done. The refrigerator functions exactly as I expected. My only complaint is that on my previous GE Profile refrigerator, the doors closed easily. This new refrigerator not so much. Just when you think the doors are going to close, they don't and one has to almost slam the doors closed. The manual doesn't address this issue. I still give the refrigerator a 5-star rating and would purchase it again.

Just installed our new refrigerator and its such a difference. The interior is cavernous with more than enough space for us and we're a large family and it cooled really quickly with the turbocool option. I really like the multiple options to increase space and storage and it's super quiet. I don't have the 2nd ice maker yet but it's definitely on our list because we frequently have guests and gatherings.

This quiet, spacious unit is excellent, so far. While the outside dimensions are the same as our previous refrigerator, the interior space is larger, don't know how that happens. The ice maker seems to produce well and the water supply through the door is excellent. The only negative is shelf adjustment. The range is somewhat limited and a little difficult to accomplish. Overall, happy we bought this.

Everything is working well. But what they should have told us is that the freezer takes a really long time to get to temperature. Like almost 24 hours. It's a good thing we have another freezer so that we could store our food there until the freezer got cold enough.

Perfect replacement for prior KitchenAid

The refrigerator freezer was a perfect replacement for prior similar refrigerator. It is quiet, energy efficient and well lit interior withefficiently designed shelving and storage areas in both refrigerator and freezer compartments. Temperature control is easy and unit cooled down quickly after installation. The 27+ cubic foot capacity equals our prior refrigerator/freezer capacity, but due to the GE Profile layout, it appears that we have more space than before for food storage. I would recommend this model and brand to anyone wanting a standard size home refrigeration unit.

This fridge is a big upgrade over our 24 yr old top freezer unit that it replaces. Positive attributes: capacity, configuration, hands-free water dispenser, lighting, temperature control, and attractive appearance. Had to adapt our cabinets to accommodate the height of the GE, but it was worth the effort. The fridge is located close to our main living area and it’s quiet enough that we don’t notice the sound of the compressor or ice. The veggie/fruit bins store the produce just right…keeps food fresh much longer than the old fridge did. I especially like the adjustable temperature wide bin. It’s large enough to store meat at one end and canned beverages on the other side of the divider. Very happy with this model and brand.

Well it's a very good refrigerator lots of space excellent amenities, the shelves are great for creating the storage sizes we need. Many perfect nooks and crannies for various items. My only gripe is with the water dispenser in the door, it shuts off if you open the refrigerator door, I could see this happening if the unit was running the autofill feature however I'm an adult if I choose to open the door while filling a cup of water that's my business and should be possible. Fix it GE

GE Profile Delivers Again with Thoughtful Features

This is the second GE Profile fridge we've owned, and we continue to be impressed with the brand. Our first unit lasted just under seven years, and we were happy to see that GE has made some subtle but meaningful updates in this newer model. We really appreciate the thoughtful design changes—especially the new drop and side shelf, which make it much easier to store taller items. The liners in the door compartments are a nice touch for easier cleaning, and the brighter LED lighting makes everything more visible and accessible. One of my favorite features is the new enclosed door compartment. It’s great for keeping smaller or more delicate items out of the way, but it’s worth noting that if you open the main door too quickly, it can sometimes cause that enclosed compartment to pop open, which may lead to items falling out. We use the indoor water and ice dispenser constantly, and the auto-sensing water filler has become a daily convenience we really enjoy. The Turbo Cool and Turbo Freeze features are also incredibly useful—especially after grocery deliveries when the fridge and freezer doors are opened frequently and items need to be cooled quickly after transport. Overall, this fridge has great functionality, smart design updates, and continues to meet the high expectations we have from the GE Profile line.

I decided upon this refrigerator for several reasons. The ice maker was in the door. The ice maker did not take up space. I’ve enjoyed the other door space. I can fit two gallons of milk in it. Plus more. The space is wonderful. The quart bottle no hold water filler is unique.

I had tried another product, I must say this is the best out of the other one that I had purchased. The room that you have to store items is unbelievable. And the look of the over all refrigerator is something to look at. Anyone would be proud to have this refrigerator in their home. All of my appliances are made by "GE" and I have been using GE for the last 40 years. And I would not have any other.

This new refrigerator has new and additional features that I and my wife love. The Energy Efficient feature is also a welcomed plus. We have other GE Profile appliances and I see us upgrading a dishwasher, double oven, and microwave to the stainless steel GE Profile models.

The door ice maker works much better than the previous model. I was concerned because we used a top and bottom ice maker in the previous model. This new model work fine without the need for a bottom freezer ice maker. The refrigerator works well. I love the new fingerprint print resistant finish.

So far it seems fine. Took hours to get all the plastic , stickers, tape off....I know this is for protection against breakage and scratches but dang, wish it were easier to get it all off. The fridge is a bit noisy right out of the gate, so that stinks, hoping it quiets down? I can always come back and review again.

Seems well built and cools and freezes nicely. Some things I don’t like are: Autofill is ho hum since it only works one fill then resets, If it held in memory until a new set would be nice. Having to peel off plastic wrap that was trapped under seams, seals and gaskets was a horrible nightmare and still some remain. Hopefully it will preform without issues for years to come.

this is first stainless steel appliance ever have had and I love the look. The inside is so spacious and the arrangement of the drawers are very convenient. I had a side by side before but the 3 drawer is awesome. Another great feature is the sensor option for the autofill is something I have never had. I cant tell you how many times in the past I put a glass under and let it fill walked away and had it overflow. It is like magic. I recommend this everyone!

Fridge works well & hope it lasts many years! I like the organization of the shelves inside, and being able to adjust some of them. I had to get used to the icemaker in the door and losing that storage space. I also learned the hard way that if you trap a bread wrapper between the door and side wall, it cuts off the cold air supply to the ice maker, and it starts melting out the front of your door by the water dispenser. I haven't figured out yet if there is a way to access ice out of the door (like to grab large scoops for a cooler), and I'm disappointed that isn't more intuitive, or that it did not come with an ice storage unit to keep cubes in the freeze for this purpose.

Keeps food fresh better than old fridge

Replaced my old Kenmore side by side refrigerator with this GE Profile one because it was leaking water all over the floor. The GE is way better. It only took about 6 hours after installation to cool to its proper temperature. A thermometer shows it is maintaining a temperature of 37F for the fridge and 0F fo r the freezer. I'm pretty sure my old Kenmore didn't do that. Then again the Kenmore only had a dial with five temperature settings and it didn't say what they were. This GE Profile has an external water dispenser and in door ice maker in the fridge. This fridge started producing ice in 6 hours after being plugged in. 24 hours later and it now has enough ice to fill two 32oz coffee mugs. This GE Profile fridge has significantly more freezer space than my Kenmore side by side. The filtered water tastes better than what came out of my old Kenmore. I'd almost describe it as water with a very slight mineral taste. I live in Portland, Oregon and the water comes from a natural spring called Bull Run. It's the cleanest water in the USA and it tastes even better with GE's fridge filter. The autofill works perfectly on this fridge. Unlike other brands such as Bosch it's sensor based and does not require specifying the size of container that is being filled.

I love this new fridge except for two things and they are both relating to the icemaker and water dispenser. Our old side by side GE fridge which we had for 15 years dispenses A LOT of ice cold water. This new one only has a very short coil so you only get around a cup or maybe 12 oz of cold water then it comes out at whatever temp the water our of your sink is at, so that is annoying. Secondly, and I don't understand why GE did this but the ice dispenser spout is huge and ice shoots out all over the place even when using a large bowl directly underneath. it still shoots out either in shards or full pieces all over the floor and you have to hold the cup literally directly underneath the spout and that still does not stop the ice from going eveywhere. Again, our old GE side by side fridge had the ice dispensed in the same location and we never had this issue Also, since we chose not to get the bottom ice maker, we constantly have to fill a bowl (and have ice shoot everywhere) and then put it in a bowl (or whatever you want to use to store more ice in the freezer since the top only holds about 100 cubes - seems like less actually...., as there is no ice storage bin in the freezer). We do this several times per week. it is annoying but not so much so that I would return it. However, had i known these two pieces of info, especially the lack of cold water being dispensed, we may have chosen another model as we now need to have a brita pitcher of cold water in the fridge when we want more than a cup of cold water, which , again, is often so it another step to do and another item we needed to buy and now buy filters for. The fridge looks beautiful and we do have more space, however, those two design flaws are just that; flaws. perhps the newer model will address those things.

I love the features and size. The extra in -freezer icemaker produces very few and small cubes at a time. The 1st refrig delivered 10 days ago didn’t cool in 48 hours and had a bad compressor. Replacement seems to be working. Bought from smaller appliance store meant faster replacement time, 2 days vs GE's estimated 7-10 days.

We are overall pleased with this new fridge which replaced a GE Profile model purchased in 2010. My kids and wife like the in door water dispenser and the kids are drinking are more water. Overall build quality seems good (though the door handles seem to be not as sturdy as our old fridge). Again, pleased with the look, size and quality of this product. Oh! One small gripe, the in door ice maker is not as easy to access for large amount of ice (like to fill a cooler) as our old freezer located ice maker. I think this complaint would apply to all in door ice makers, not this specific GE model. All our other kitchen appliances are GE profile so we did not look at other brands. The new fridge fits in well with the other, older GE Profile appliances

Would be 5 stars, but a tube off the compressor intermittently hit the rear cover, causing a 60-cycle buzz, sometimes quite loud. Fortunately, our wonderful local dealer came the same evening and fixed it. Heartening to see that GE fixed a couple complaints in on-line reviews with this year's model. Ice maker is quieter and the selection panel on the door for ice etc. is illuminated. Way to go!

All things considered I’m happy with my French door refrigerator. My only comment relates to the ice dispenser. I have a metal insulated thermos that I use for ice water when traveling. It’s mouth is a narrow 2 inches. On either the crushed or cube setting, half of the dispensed ice winds up on the floor. I cup my hands around the thermos mouth while dispensing ice to reduce spillage. If you use a cereal bowl with a wider mouth it’s not a problem.

I have owned my refrigerator for about 4 years. I love it! It's been the perfect fit for our needs. While I've cleaned it out many times before today, this time I took EVERY piece out and washed it. Yes the drawers in the freezer too. I love this fridge. I think a woman designed it because it sooooo easy to clean. The shelves in the doors pop out easily, as well as all the drawers and shelves. GE/Haier get an excellent review from me on this fridge. GOOD JOB!

It's hard to write much of a review since I haven't even had this refrigerator for 24 hrs, but so far, it surpasses the Samsung it replaced. We only looked for a couple of days, but I knew what I was looking for so when I saw it, we bought it the next day (my husband likes to make sure he's getting the best deal, which we did!). :D I'm very happy with the amount of space I have! I love that the ice maker is in the door rather than taking up valuable space, and love the bins on the door that covers the ice machine...great for those small items that get "lost" so easily! It's also very quiet; I didn't even hear the ice drop! I chose the black stainless steel and LOVE that it isn't a stark black...but actually looks more like a dark charcoal. The lights were one of the biggest issues I've had with refrigerators...always way too bright. These LED "dimples" are so cool! They light up the WHOLE fridge without being "in your face" bright! LOVE IT!

Handsome fridge with great Slate color. Don't care for built-in filter since we have a whole house filter. We like size. Fruit drawers maintain correct temp without freezing. Hard to close double doors provides a tone when not closed properly. Bottom freezer is a plus. Still unable to remove shipping plastic around doors. Ice maker is noisier than our former 1998 Kenmore side-by-side.

I really like my new refrigerator. It is a nice upgrade from my 12 year old Samsung. I wish I did not have to open both doors due to the long rectangular drawer That I store Deli items in. Also, one really has to make sure that the door is shut tight before you walk away as it does not swing shut. It has to be pushed shut.

This refrigerator is beautiful and spacious. The layout of shelving and drawers allows for so much more storage than my old refrigerator. The deep buckets in the door work perfectly for milk and juice storage so that my kids can reach it themselves finally. Also love the water fill sensor feature when I'm rushed to fill kids water bottles before school. The freezer is also spacious and the two levels of storage is great for separating meats and vegetables. Mine had a dented door when it arrived, but that is being replaced. Also it runs a little loud at times, but I feel like that is a service issue and not something that happens with all of them. I am having that looked at as well. Otherwise, I would highly recommend this refrigerator.

So far so good, GE is always the most dependable so I'm not expecting any problems. The only issue I've had is all the protective plastic on the front of my appliance isn't easy to remove and when you do it is almost impossible to get the small tag ends around the water dispenser and door gaps.

Fridge does not cool to set temperature. Verified using an Analog thermometer, our food has been spoiled several times. spoiled. Fridge temperature will not go below 42 F. The covering goes into the seems and leaves plastic protector peices all over and it's ugly and annoying . For the price you would think they could figure that out. This fridge has plentiful capacity to store food items and looks sharp in the kitchen. However, I think the only way to fully enjoy this fridge is if I were deaf - this fridge is by far the most annoying appliance I have ever owned as it frequently and sporadically buzzes so loudly I can barely hear the TV over it in the other room. A good swift slap on the side usually clears up the noise for 10 seconds, maybe a minute or two if I'm lucky. Aside from the obnoxious noise, the fridge works great.

We love our new refrigerator, but we hate all the plastic wrap that doesn't come off without scratching, using tweezers or something else. All external parts were shrink wrapped then assembled so you can't get the plastic off without disassembling the exterior doors. Great refrigerator that looks terrible.

it's OK.I wish I was more excited about a new fridge but I'm not. The doors need an extra push to close, the ice maker slow, fridge is noisy, the two front doors are misaligned in height. I used temp gages inside the fridge and freezer to monitor Temps and it takes a very long time to recover after door opening. can't tell if the quick cool down system works.

Looks great. But several issues: Ice maker seals don’t work well, freeze over when they leak air making ice cubes clump up rendering the ice maker useless. Poor engineering of French doors making them nasty looking, loud working and unable to use pull out drawers without opening both as compared to the way LG fridge doors are done. Now there is an off and on loud noise in the back so requiring service after only 5 years?

Fingerprint resistent it is not. The shelf layout is difficult to work with especially those on the ice maker side and for tall bottles. The freezer has lots of space and the autofill water feature is nice. The first refrigerator delivered was returned after failing within 24 hours of installation. We should have done more research before selecting this model.

The fridge is ok. Waiting for repair person to come and fix freezer door that doesn’t close properly so am getting moisture and ice build up inside the drawer (be warned - you barely get any instructions at all, but you do get a piece of paper that tells you how to adjust the screws so that it doesn’t leak!! How about GE just builds the thing right the first time!?). The main drawer doesn’t get “grabbed” by the magnetic strip like all my appliances in the past have been. The inner freezer drawer also does not push in all the way, 1 side sticks out more. When dispensing cubed ice little chunks of ice fly out all over my floor- and we never use crushed ice, so it’s not that. The additional ice maker I bought for inside the freezer finally came in stock and will be installed next week. It better be worth it!!

Two things that stand out, There is no way to tell what the temperature is in the fridge or the freezer unless we put a thermometer in the compartment. The fridge we replaced had this feature and it was almost 15 years old. Two the two single draws in the fridge can't be opened by themselves without opening both doors bad design .

The interior of this product is nice but I would not buy it again. The fridge is VERY loud. I echos and I can hear it upstairs in my bedroom. I had a 15 year old Whirlpool Gold before and this new unit is so much louder. Disappointed. The ice and water maker also splash a lot. I advised the dealer about my concerns a few days after it was delivered and was directed to GE which is disappointing. GE is going to come out and look at it. If I could return this I would.

We are extremely disappointed with this product!! I never would have expected that in 2024 we would be DEFROSTING our refrigerator every 2-3 months!! I thought the need for that ended 50 years ago. Without regular defrosting, the refrigerator temperature climbs to 55+ degrees and ice accumulates and causes the fan to seize up. I love the room this model affords, and the various features, but its inability to maintain a proper refrigerator temperature is a deal breaker!! Buyer beware!!

This is the second GE Profile refrigerator we've bought. Unfortunately, there seems to be a problem with the left side. As you can see from the pictures, there are two overly cold regions on the left side that seem to freeze and create streaks. The streaks then produce condensation which drips. The condensation dripped into our wall and baseboard creating an issue on the floor.

This refrigerator was installed in our new home in December 2018. The refrigerator is not cooling above 40 degrees even though we have it set for 34 degrees. The freezer is set for -4 and seems to be cooling to around -8. I am not sure how long the refrigerator has not been cooling properly as we just put a temperature gauge in it last week. I did not believe that gauge so I put a second gauge in it. Still reads 40 to sometimes 42 degrees even checking it first thing in the morning after it has not been opened for 12 hours. Nothing is pushed to the back of the fridge. The door seals seem to be fine. It is sad that this refrigerator only lasted 5 1/2 years.

Great esthetics, looks good, great layout and storage. But that is where it stops. Apparently this fridge has a single compressor for both freezer and fridge. However, even with the fridge temp set to 36 the back of the fridge stays at 43 degrees. The fridge blower has already been replaced.

I did not like this refrigerator and it never had great circulation in the refrigerator. The ice maker never worked well and always stuck together. The fan also died around 4 years and again 2 years later. We never overpacked our refrigerator and assume we fell victim to a lemon product or company. It’s unfortunate but I won’t be buying GE again, anytime soon.

Not recommend -- poor sealing at ice-maker gaskets

It is a nice sized refrigerator with french doors. However, the seals between the ice-maker comparment and the refrigerator are not well designed or of are poor quality based on the amount of frozen frost/ice crystals on the edge of the compartment and difficulty opening the compartment. We would not recommend this refrigerator to others.

We bought a GE refrigerator, model PFE28KYNJFS, less than a year ago, and it’s been nothing but problems. First, the shelves started breaking. Then we noticed food—especially produce like lettuce—was spoiling in just a couple of days. I set the temperature to the coldest setting, 34°F, and put a thermometer inside. The actual reading? Almost 50°F. That’s unsafe for food storage and completely unacceptable for a refrigerator of any age, let alone one that’s not even a year old. This is the worst refrigerator I have ever owned. I have a fridge from the 1950s that still runs perfectly, yet GE can’t make one that lasts a single year. For the price, I expected reliability and basic functionality, but instead I got a total piece of junk. I will never buy another GE appliance, and I will make sure everyone I know hears about this experience.

The backboard was replaced and now it running fine, but I don't trust it. My last fridge was a similar model and it lasted many years. This new one is a total hunk of junk.

Does NOT COOL

This Fridge does not keep cool. The compressor runs all day and night trying to keep the fridge at 36 degrees. Once you open the doors a few times to get what you need, the interior reaches 40+ degrees and takes hours to cool back down. I have 3 temp gauges in the fridge. One on the top shelf and that reads the coolest. One in the middle and one on the bottom. The temp between the top shelf and bottom shelf is a good 5 degrees in differance.

Freezer leaks water

Ice buildup in bottom

We love the auto fill feature but unfortunately it doesn’t offset the ice buildup issues we’ve had with this fridge since the beginning. About every six months we notice water on the floor and the freezer unable to close. Everything has to be taken out of the freezer, we chisel away for an hour, and put everything back. It’s ruined our floor around the fridge too. Nothing has worked to fix it: just a :known issue”.

We got this GE profile refrigerator 6 years ago. I like the space inside and the looks of the outside. After 4 years we had to replace the ice maker (sensor) . Not cheap to do. Now the deli drawer is freezing my deli meat and cheese. My food on the top shelf is warm. Out of warranty….repairman coming tomorrow to see if it can be fixed. They should last more than 6 years.

GE Fridge Won’t Stay Cool

This fridge barely lasted two years for us. It had a repair right out the gate during one year warranty and then after the warranty was over it has had continuous problems with keeping cool. We’ve paid already $600 in repairs and it’s still having issues. Time to face the reality…this fridge was a lemon.

Unreliable, Intermittent functions

GE Model: PFE28KSKSS, SN: ML509808 - Most noisy fridge I've ever had. Auto water dispenser in door has never worked reliably. Interior LED lamps had to be replaced after 3 years. Interior light in freezer, fridge and door dispenser work intermittently after 5 years. Lights and water/ice dispenser functions seem to be interrelated. Sometimes interior lights come on when left door is opened, other times they come on when the right door is opened; sometimes the lights don't come on at all. Sometimes the freezer lights come on when the freezer is opened; sometimes no light. Sometimes the water works but not the ice, sometimes neither works. Very intermittent and unreliable. replacing door switches did not help. So far, it seems to keep appropriately cold, but that is probably the next thing to stop working. Interior shelving and door space design is not as spacious or convenient as I hoped it would be compared to my previous models.

Very disappointed in the quality

After about 4.5 years the fridge was not cooling correctly and the freezer stopped working. Had two different repair companies look at this .both said the valve in the sealed is bad and is not worth fixing. This is the second fridge from GE we have had issues with. What happened to quality products ? We expected to get at least 10 years out of the fridge. Would not buy another GE fridge again

This refrigerator does not cool well. It gets up to 44 or 45 degrees at least once a day. I would not recommend this refrigerator to anyone. Our old GE refrigerator lasted for 17 years. This one is on week 2 and has yet to consistently do its one basic job of cooling below 40 degrees in the refrigerator

So far only thing I do not like is the 2nd shelf from the top is too close to the top shelf for a gallon size milk container to fit without pushing up on the top shelf. 1/2" additional space in the shelf settings would have provided the needed space for the gallon container of milk.

Poor engineering

Ice maker seal no good. Causes air leaks and ice clumps up rendering the ice maker and dispenser inop most of the time. Then loud fringing noise after only 4-5 years and expensive repair coming Also poor engineering of the French doors compared to my lg fridgeloud and unable to open a fridge drawer without opening both doors , ugly mechanical look and sound when operating. LG fridge is designed better and cheaper and does not break down like this one did

This fridge sucks. Unfortunately I have nothing good to tell you about. My old side by side Maytag had excellent ice capacity and could give you endless amount of freezing cold water and ice. This thing can't give you enough ice to run two people short meeting and no cold water unless you decide who of you is going to have it. Disaster people!

The ice maker stopped working. had a GE tech come out to look at, he replaced a couple parts. still no ice, Freezer stopped working, lost food and fridge is barely cold. still waiting for parts 3 weeks later and a fridge that doesn't work. just keep getting the run around with consumer relations!

Every weekend I have to empty my entire freezer, including the drawers, and chip ice out from the bottom so water doesn't leak all over my floor. Not good. Bonus star because the ice maker still works, although it does randomly spit out an ice cube now and again. Also the water filters are too darn expensive...I wish I could take off 1/2 a star.

Refrigerator worked great for almost 7 years. This is the 2nd time within a week service is coming out due to refrigerator part not staying at temperature. The freezer so far works okay. GE products use to reliable and long lasting. The last refrigerator we had lasted well over 20+ years. We got rid of it due to a kitchen remodel. My guess is the old refrigerator would still be running. Also brought a GE profile dishwasher, it broken down within 5 years.

Noisy Refreigerator

Bought this model (PFE28KYNFFS) in June of 2021. The high pitch noise from the compressor is driving us crazy. Has gotten worse in the past three montths. It lasts about 50 minutes over every hour. It is constant background noise which is unacceptable. Very noticable. I would not buy this again. In fact will probably get rid of it as we cannot stad the noise any longer. Buyer beware!

So far the worst refrigerator that I have ever had. The ice maker only drops about 3 times a day, the inside quality is really bad, it is all scraped up inside, sticky stuff all over, shelving doesn't work, not a happy consumer. And we have only had it for 1 week. Wish we could return it. We feel like this one is already a lemon.

The compressor is so extremely loud. It seems to run frequently and you can't help but hear how loud it is. The fridge is spacious with good lighting. Makes ice well. Very bright interior. The autofill works well.
