This was a replacement for the same model I purchased a year ago, which had a defective door gadget. I had to step down to this model due to finances. I would have preferred to buy a larger model with freezer on the bottom but am now on fixed income so had to step down. I am ok with this fridge. Don’t like that I have to bend over so far to get items as I’m 76 and have some orthopedic limits. The freezer is adequate but doesn’t hold much because if there is not adequate space in front of the air vents, ice cream does not freeze solid and I’m afraid other foods won’t as well. Fortunately I have a deep freeze. This model runs a lot more than my previous side by side. I am thankful for the replacement.

Super efficient

We live off-grid and this is replacing a gas refrigerator, which has now been relegated to the basement. We upgraded our solar array last year and because this model is so efficient, our system can now support an electric refrigerator. I'm very happy with this choice.

Love the door shelves!

I specifically chose this model because of the door shelves. I love the large gallon sized shelves and love that I can move them up and down. Finally I can fit an opened bottle of wine in the fridge without playing tetris! The moveable deli drawer is also a very nice feature. I am convinced the freezer holds more than my old fridge did even though the external fridge dimensions are the same. I would like a little more control over the refrigerator temperature. The 'most common' setting is a little warmer than I would like and the next step up is too cold. If it was an old fashioned dial, I would just set it in between the two. I've set up a thermometer in the fridge so I can relearn what to keep where on the 'most common' setting. The freezer temperature is just fine.

It's really big!

When I moved into my new home, my old refrigerator decided to go out. I looked around for awhile for a replacement. I am happy that I took my time and got this refrigerator. It is really large to accommodate my family. There is lots of space to store my freezer items and there are plenty of shelves on the door to store drinks and condiments. The drawers have temperature control sliders to match your produce up with the correct humidity. The deli drawer is nice size and adjustable. There is room for all my dietary needs. I love fruits and can store whole melons inside. No more over ripened fruit due to lack of storage space. I am very happy with this purchase.

I did a lot of research about higher quality, less breakdown refrigerators. I selected this model whirlpool due to size and similar features of our older one. Disappointed that it seems to be made out of cheaper materials and design. Plastic drawers are flimsier. and there is no light in the freezer. forgot to check on that. I wanted a less noisy unit and this one is a bit more than our older one. It is roomier and we like that, though lower shelves and drawers are lower than we like. We are elderly.

Very Pleased With My Whirlpool Refrigerator

I am pleasantly pleased with my new Whirlpool refrigerator. It runs quietly and has more room than I anticipated. I did not want an ice maker as I don't use the town water. (Make my own ice cubes using spring water.) Since I ordered this efficiency model, I'll be interested to see if there is a slight difference in my electricity usage. My prior refrigerator was a 20-year-old Kenmore which was most probably made by Whirlpool!

Great fridge!

I bought this recently and am so glad I did. It's a great fridge with lots of room. The shelving is nice and spacious and easy to find all the foods I'm looking for with the clear shelves. I actually bought this as a spare fridge, but am now thinking of switching the main fridge with this new fridge! Foods get super cold in the fridge and the freezer section is also super cold.

Constant,Annoying,Gurgling,freezer noise

The quality of the fridge is okay, and the motor is quiet.However it has a constant gurgling sound that seems endless.Its loud and extremely unpleasant to have to endure.Thought it would go away after a bit but it isn't going to stop apparently it just gets worse.Works well and nice layout but the annoying sound needs to be fixed.

Nice Refrigerator

Like the fridge.It works great and is very spacious.The only issue is the seal does not want to stay attached to the door.It seals but when the door is pulled open the seal comes loose from the door.Tried all suggestions to get it to lock in place to the door but nothing has worked.Other than that I am happy with it.It is very spacious with a good layout design.

I purchased this refrigerator on 7/1/23 to replace a Whirlpool Model: WRT318FZDW, Ser.#: VSA2648839 that was installed 11/22/21 and the coils failed on 6/26/23 after about 18 months of service. My dealer, Snow Bros., suggested this model because of its improved features. I hope this fridge doesn't fail me!

After one month:Basic function is good, minor nits

This is a basic unit replacing a 24 year old basic unit. The unit keeps things cold, is quiet and looks pretty good. Nits: the upper surface is bowed upwards due to the sprayed in insulation. This made the unit more than a half inch taller in the middle than the edges making for a tighter fit than expected. I had to move the hinge from the right to the left side; that was no problem and the instructions were clear. It did expose a weak and poorly designed light switch. I kept bumping it shutting the light off when the door was open.. until finally, the last bump snapped it off. Hello darkness, my old friend... The 22 y/o unit also had the switch on the right but I rarely bumped it and it never broke. This is the only right/left swap issue I see.

The refrigerator was delivered two weeks ago. It's a good size for one-two people. There are a couple features I would change; bigger vegetable and fruit bins, freezer light would be great, and I'd like the door shelves to be totally enclosed so items don't slip out of the bottom. Also, the door gasket is already separating from the refrigerator door and apparently is not covered by the warranty.

Unit was a replacement due to defrozting failure. Two person household. Adequate size. Freezer top doors should have solid bottom. Thete is a space that allows frozen items items to fall off the shelf. Good interior lighting. For the refrigerator section, an additional adjustment level would be helpful. All in all, the price point and features & functions offer good value. I would recomment this produ t for a smaller family, or where height constraints are an issue.

Our fridge broke down and we needed a replacement in a hurry. This one fit our small kitchen space, but not what we wanted. The freezer on top is not our choice but it works well. the interior space is large, the bins roll well. There is a bit of a trick to getting the temp correct so the fridge freezes at the bottom. The freezer works really well. I would recommend this for a basic, solid unit.

We bought this as a second refrigerator in our home. We ordered it without an icemaker but when it arrived it had an ice maker inside. That didn't help as we have it in the garage and there is no water service but I suppose if we ever sold it someone else could benefit from it. The freezer is roomy enough and there is plenty of storage room inside the refrigerator. It is nice and quiet and has met the need perfectly.

A lot of fridge in a little space!

I purchased this unit after selling my home and downsizing into a condo that I have owned. It was difficult and sad to leave my four door French 26+ cubic foot Whirlpool fridge with the sale of my home but it would not fit in my condo anyway. So, I had to purchase another, smaller unit and with the styling, size, features, quality and value, I wasn’t looking at anything but, a Whirlpool. I negotiated a fair price on my unit and have been enjoying all it offers me.

Runs quiet

We knew our old refrigerator wasn’t gonna last much longer,( it was approximately 27 years old), so we decided to replace it now rather than waiting and possibly not be able to get another one due to covid. It runs very quiet and is much more spacious than our old one. The only thing we’re having to adjust to is the spring doors. If you let go of the door(s), they slam shut. I was told it’s made that way to provide a air tight seal. Also the plastic film does not come off very well around the edges. I had to take a razor blade around the edges to remove bits and pieces of the film that I could not pull off.

Only one concern

I am very satisfied with my refrigerator and it does not make a lot of noise like my last one. But there was one thing that concerns me. I called Whirlpool but they could not give me an answer. I keep a few thermometers in both the freezer and the refrigerator section. Although everything is staying cold, it concerns me that the freezer will be on zero and the refrigerator will be on about 32 degrees. Then the compressor goes off and the freezer will reach 15 degrees and the refrigerator section 40 degrees. Then the compressor will start up and the freezer and refrigerator temperatures will go down again. I am wondering if this is normal, but could not get an answer when I called Whirlpool.

Great features

We've had this almost a year. The favorite feature is the deli drawer, which slides from side to side, in the center of the fridge. I'm sorry it came without the factory icemaker, as installing now has a prohibitive cost. Every item is at your fingertips in this fridge design. It came with shrink-wrap plastic which we are going to leave on (recommended by me) for keeping the finish intact. Our kitchen is small; this size accommodates three people's food and drink. It fits in a tight space. Also, this refrigerator is so quiet, you don't even know it is running.

Have no complaints, great sales price, nice unit. Only issues: l. Disappointed no ice cube trays or ice cube storage container. Good thing we kept our old ones. 2. Food falls out of door shelves. Made cardboard inserts to block areas. 3. Whirpool should post a notice in unit how important it is customer does not change temp settings for 24 hours. Service informed us later that there is a COMPUTER CHIP THAT CAN MALFUNCTION and cause permanent damage. We found that it took 3-4 days for unit to finally regulate temp between freezer and refrigerator sections. Wish we knew this ahead of time, would have saved a lot of frustration.

Two weeks into ownership of this fridge and I am very happy. It is quiet which was one of several complaints I had with my prior kenmore. The fridge is sturdy and doors shut easily (kenmore did not and often set off the alarm that the door wasn’t shut correctly). The fridge and freezer are roomy too. I only wish that the door shelves in freezer were closed at bottom like the fridge door shelves. Sometimes I have small items to store and they slip through the shelf opening. Otherwise I am happy with this purchase!

Very roomy refrigerator for the size of my opening

I absolutely love my new refrigerator. I have twice the bottle room on my door where I really need it. It is so quite when it is running. I have so much more room than in my old refrigerator. I can't say enough other than it was certainly worth the money, it looks beautiful in my kitchen and I am going to purchase the matching stove next spring or sooner. It was really helpful to be able to review all makes on the internet but your details were more accurate and helpful for me to make my decision. I have recommended this to all my friends.

Big and quiet

We've only had this a month, so can't speak to long-term durability, but so far it's worked fine. It's got great capacity for both fridge and freezer, and runs quiet. Shelves slide easily. The interior light is an LED, and the switch is near the door and sometimes gets bumped while grabbing things on lower shelves. It leveled nicely on a not so level floor, too.

We bought this refrigerator this summer. We love that it fit in the odd spot we had to put a refrigerator. The only thing we had to get use to was that with freezer on top we had to bend down for the fridge. before we had a small side by side. But shelves width were to small. So this is 100% better. This refrigerator is not anywhere as good as my old refrigerator that fit in exactly the same space. The stupid freezer door shelves are tiny and items you want to put into the freezer door can drop straight to the floor. You would think in the number of years this has been available and the number of reviews that complain that things will "drop to the floor" that they would change it. They say it's for better circulation but that's hogwash. The 3 drawers in the refrigerator are smaller than my last refrigerator. I do like the glass shelf in the freezer but note that it doesn't have a light in the freezer which my old one did. So far the temperatures are good and it's not too noisy so I can compliment it on those points. The door of the refrigerator basically only holds one gallon of milk on the right top section and one gallon of milk on the second right section. Note, that is only 2 full gallons in the door. We can only fit 4 tall bottles of wine. Note, that is only 4 tall bottles of wine in the door!! Our last refrigerator could hold about 10 tall bottles of wine in the door!! Who designs these things? Please make changes after at least 4 years of not making any changes in the design of this refrigerator!! We're stuck because this is all that fits into our kitchen space!!

We purchased our refrigerator a month ago and saw our electric bill drop. I’m not crazy about the way the freezer door is made. At the top where the film/plastic was applied at the factory, there is a small gap. This makes the door look like it is missing a trim piece. I love the interior and how bright it is and the even cooling temperature

Take a little to get use to

We purchased this refrigerator to replace our 17 year almond colored one, all other appliances are black, drove me crazy for years. The space inside is nicely laid out, although the veggie and fruit drawers are smaller than our old refrigerator. The first hours after it was installed I noticed it made a little more noise than the old one, but once it got up to the correct temp it was really quiet and has remained very quiet. The finished is a high gloss black, easy to clean, but finger prints do show at certain angles, I don't have kids so no biggie.

It's so quiet I thought it wasn't on.My old Amana sounded like a gas lawnmower. Would be better if it had LED light in the freezer and freezer door shelves were an inch wider ( Have to put stuff on angle or it will fall out). Consumer Reports had it in the top 8 in top freezer models.P C Richards had at a great price.

Somewhat smaller than my previous fridge but that is fine as shelves are adjustable. One negative aspect is that the beverage holders on the door do not easily accommodate large bottles (i.e. gallon of milk). I must also mention that the light is obscurely placed in the center area and has no protective cover over the bulb which presents a hazard when placing and removing top shelf items. Fingerprint resistant coating on outside of door would be a plus.

We love the space it has but the shelves in the freezer door have too big of a hole at the bottom and everything falls out. We are trying to find a solution to fix it. The unit runs quiet and we like that an ice maker could be added.The Led light is nice and bright and the clear bins make it look modern.

We are very happy with this refrigerator. This is a basic refrigerator and for the price, it is a great value. I am in the food service industry and the most important feature for me, is that it keeps proper, consistent temperature which it does. My personal preference would be that the shelves were wire especially in the freezer because I use it to cool foods to the proper temperature and with a glass shelf, you have to be considerably more careful. I think the gap in the door shelf of the freezer is too wide for convenience but with all things considered, it is a great refrigerator.

We purchased this refrigerator during a full remodel to get our old kitchen to be a little more modern. This stainless steel fridge went very well with that initiative. The drawers are very smooth, and the sandwich meats/cheese drawer allows you to move it horizontally which is really nice. A simple ice maker that works well, and good amount of space. The only drawback is the temperature setting, it is only a dial and doesn't show actual temperatures, but for the price it's not a make or break feature.

Seems to work fine so far. Will see if it works as well as the one it replace which lasted for 25 yrs and was still running well when it was replaced (husband thought "it was time"!). Just one problem, the freezer door shelves are ridiculous! They are too narrow to hold anything the size of a loaf of bread or an ice cube tray but small things fall right through due to the narrow ledge! So can't put in 'big' things and can't hold small things! A wider ledge would be a smart improvement!

I bought this two weeks ago and I am satisfied with the purchase. It is a big improvement from my previous refrigerator which broke down. Since I live in an apartment, space is pretty tight and although this refrigerator is slightly bigger than the previous one - it does not take up too much space. It is also very spacious within the refrigerator section. The freezer section could be bigger but I'm not complaining. The only real down-side worth complaining about is how low the refrigerator door is. It's pretty close to the ground and if you open the door while your foot is right in front of the door, you will definitely stub your toe. Therefore, be careful!

This is a replacement frig in our home. It is very quiet and the inside space much more than our older model even though the Whirlpool has only a slightly large footprint. We didn't buy an ice maker. The only nit I have is usually when you buy a new frig, it has a) a place to slide ice trays. Ice trays have to be stacked in the large compartment. And when have frig makers stopped giving away ice trays with their new machines?Still, I'm happy with my purchase.

We have had this refrigerator for 4 weeks now it is performing perfectly. Keeps the food nice & cold. Really like the door shelves that can hold gallon bottles of water or milk. Also like the sliding deli drawer that allows you to move it from side to side to accommodate different items. Freezer is very large & keeps the food frozen. Only reason I gave it 4 stars is the same complaint others had that the shelf on the freezer door allows the food to fall through since it only has a bar across.

Bought the fridge as it fit the dimensions for the space I had and was able to get it delivered within days. Would have been nice if the freezer shelf had a choice for adjustment. The only setting leaves the bottom section too low to put some items there, so top of shelf overloaded. The door in the freezer could be a little wider as well, very narrow and can't fit much in there. Fridge section not bad, but poor planning on shelves in the door. No adjustment. Other than the cosmetics, fridge is not too noisy and serves the purpose well

Bought it in November through the base furniture store at the Air Force base where i work. I needed a refrigerator; I was not terribly fussy about what it looked like, whether it "fit my decor" (vomit)....I just needed something to fit my Japanese off-base residence and not cost too much. It fit the bill. One thing I don't care for, really, is all the plastic shelving inside. I didn't have a huge variety of refrigerators to choose from at the base's furniture store where I bought it. Had there been other choices I probably would have looked for one without all the plastic shelving inside. It's too cluttered for my needs, but I'm learning to live with it. Aside from this issue--which isn't huge, just annoying--the machine is fine so far....but it's been only three months, so we'll see.....

The size of this fridge is deceptive because it is much roomier than you would think. My electric bill has gone down because it is so efficient. The bins on the door of the refrigerator section hold so much without diminishing the interior that I can store much more than with my old Maytag. I have only one complaint and that is that the door bins on the freezer section are shallow and have a large gap at the bottom that allows things to fall out very easily so that narrow things are difficult to store there.

After purchasing another brand refrigerator brand new in May that was less then serviceable because ice formed on the walls of the freezer I love this one. After many complaints, it was replaced but the same thing happened to the new one. They finally were forced to let me choose another brand. I am now very happy to report that my new Whirlpool is wonderful. I'm sorry that I didn't buy Whirlpool in the first place. If I have one complaint it would be the shelves in the freezer door. It's easy for most things to slip through them but I can deal with that.

We had an ice cube maker installed which was much the same as the one in our 25 year old fridge we just retired and we were happy with the way the old one operated. Lots of room in the bottom section of the fridge and nicely laid out. We really like the shelf in the door for a 4 liter container of milk.

Both my oven & refrigerator were bought from Brault & Martineau so I decided to Google the appliance to make a comparison & found that Whirlpool fit the bill and am more than pleased w/my purchase. Overall well designed. Spacious,making it easy to locate items and place them in order, cleaning is a breeze. Nice surfaces that wipe off with ease. I have put the matching stove on lay-away for the time being so if I am lucky enough to be chosen as winner my wish would be the accompanying DISH WASHER to complete my kitchen decor as that too is almost ready to bid adieu.

We've had this frig for about a month now and are happy with it. There is a lot of space inside and it seems to be working well. We went through 3 Kenmore (made by Frigdadaire) models in a month before getting this one. No icing issues. The bins and shelves are well spaced and hold a lot. The veggie bins are on rollers which make them very easy to use. The LED light is nice. A light in the freezer would have been great but I guess you can't get everything. Temperature is good too. Overall, much better than the freezer on the bottom model we tried initially.

Good refrigerator but could use a little re-design of space

Our last refrigerator had a bottom freezer, which we liked because we could see items in the refrigerator at eye level. However, nowadays you have to pay double for a bottom freezer, so we decided to go with a top one this time. We like this refrigerator -- it looks good, the LED lighting is a nice touch, and the shelves and drawers are sturdy. We like the movable storage section on the top shelf too. The refrigerator is quiet and cools well. Our one complaint is that the freezer takes up too much vertical space. We don't need a freezer that tall, and it cuts into the refrigerator space. As an unintended consequence, when I bend down to get something from the lower shelves, I sometimes bang my head on the freezer door because of its low position. That being said, so far this seems like a quality product.

Total disappointment!

I bought this a month ago. This replaced the same model I had bought 11 years ago The quality is definitely not the same. 1. It has an open place in the door frame with no paint or protection of any sort, bare steel. It catches my hand. 2. The light switch is in a horrible place. It was turning off/on twice when the door opened. I had to move the shelf down to avoid the flipper switch. 3. The shelves in the freezer are not deep enough. Single serve means fall thru the gap. I loved the layout in my old fridge. This new model, not so much. If I was asked today if I would buy another Whirlpool, the answer would be no. Might that change in time, I don't know. I tried to add photos. Nowhere to attach.

My previous refrigerator the drawer went from one side of the refrigerator to the other. Plus, I was told by the sales person that the refrigerator had a light in the freezer area. Poor design for crisper draw tracks can't clean.

I do not like way the crisper draw tracks are bolted in the bottom of the refrigerator. I had lemonade tip over in the refrigerator dripping down under the crisper draws. Very difficult to clean under and along the crisper draw tracks that are bolted to the bottom of the refrigerator!!!! Has anyone had this experience? What tools do I use to remove the tracks so I can clean under them? 6b

Sort of object to large light right in front which you have to avoid and work around.Would like bigger produce bins. Mixed Emotions

A little background. We purchased this refrigerator in July 2021, and it was delivered January 2022--supply chain issues. Our old bottom freezer fridge started forming ice in the bottom and my husband had to get down on his hands and knees every four days to chip the ice out. Otherwise, the water had no place to go and ran onto the floor. We wanted another bottom freezer but were told that we couldn't even order one because of supply issues. So we ordered this top freezer model instead and still had to wait six months. I'm sorry but I cannot give this refrigerator a very good review. On the plus side, I like the adjustable shelves, and it has adequate storage space for its size. On the minus side, it makes really weird noises almost 24x7. Sometimes it sounds like it's moaning and groaning, and other times it sounds like it is going to take flight. There are other noises in between. The noises are not extremely loud, but we can definitely hear them and it's quite annoying. But we are not chipping ice any longer so we can live with it.

The refrigerator works correctly but the shelving is peculiar. As delivered, no shelf would fit an upright 1-liter soda bottle. There are few options for adjusting the shelving which makes storage difficult. The crisper tray handles are too low, you have to bend way low to open them up (tough at age 80!)

The refrigerator works great except for one thing. On the recommended settings, the freezer does not get cold enough for ice cream to be hard. When I set the refrigerator at a colder temp, the ice cream got hard, but things started freezing in the fridge.

When we bought our refrigerator it was on line and we couldn’t view it in person. We had a height limit and this refrigerator was the perfect height. Compared to our old one this holds way less, we also find the vegetable keepers and meat/cheese drawer have smaller capacity.One thing I do like is the bigger freezer although the door shelves aren’t wide enough and things fall through.

I took the manual from the old refrigerator to the store so that there would be no problems with the size. However, because the line in the back of the protrudes about 2 inches the fridge did not fit through the kitchen entrance even after we removed the doors so we had to put it in the dining room. The line on my old refrigerator was flushed against the back which only added a 1/2 inch. Also could use a light in the freezer.

Selected this model since it was one of two available to fit into the limited space in my kitchen. The drawers could use sturdy pull out handles, as there are none attached to them. The illumination with the energy saving bulbs is not to my liking and will take getting use to. I only had two options to choose from, cost wasn't the issue. I was willing to pay more for a more astecially pleasing refrigerator for the interior. That said, the exterior was what sold me. It has a nice bowing on the front doors.

I do like this frig--it is quiet-unlike the last GE model we bought--however, I have nothing good to say about the freezer door shelves. There is definitely a design flaw--a BIG one--nothing will fit--things are either too big to fit or things slide out the enormous gap. WHAT IS UP WITH THAT??? I can think of nothing that will stay on these shelves without falling out. I will have to buy some stupid container to fill the gap (2 inches)--the "shelves" on the door measure approx 2" each in width but they are curved where they meet the door. What can fit on that??? There should be a retro fit shelf available. Nowhere in the info is this pointed out when looking for frigs. Who designs these things. Please develop a shelf fix for this. We payed $$$ for this model and now I cannot use half the freezer. I do not accept that there is no fix for this because in the comments here you have known about this for some time.

Noisy compressor

Unit does what it is intended to do and fits well in the small space allotted in my kitchen and is well designed. However, the compressor has a somewhat high pitched whine that is particularly annoying every time the unit cycles (which is often). Can be heard throughout the entire 1200 sq. ft. first floor of my home. As a matter of fact, this unit is significantly louder than the 25 year old Whirlpool unit it replaced. Regret this purchase and do not recommend.

Plenty of Room

I have had this fridge in my house for about 3 weeks now. I have found that it has plenty of room, but the Veggie bins are much smaller than my last fridge (which was actually a smaller fridge overall)and the cheese/meat bin is also smaller. The slider part of the cheese/meat bin is a nice feature. I find that I have to bend down much farther in this fridge than my last one. the Veggie bins are pretty much on the floor. It keeps all the food at the right temperatures and the freezer keeps ice cream well. The Shelves that are part of the doors are a bit of a pain because things tend to slide out. Those should have been designed better. Overall not too bad. I guess I just have to get used to it.

Frustrating unrepairable issue

I got this to replace the one I had that was deemed unrepairable. This new one is doing the same thing the first one did and I am beyond disappointed. It was an inconvenience to say the least to have to replace it at only 6 months old but to have the same issue happening with the replacement is very frustrating. I am not sure how to proceed as it seems to be a defect in the appliance at large. I wonder if a different model will have the same problems or if I need to try a different brand altogether....

Never managed to freeze breads and cakes from day 1 (freezer section) Stopped working after 8 years. Refrigerant gas leak. Still looks brand new because I took good care but only good for gargage now, After giving my opinion on this lemon, Whirlpool invites me to contact them via email with a reference number. After 3 weeks, no response from them. On the phone, I am given a tracking number and another email address promising me a response within 24-48 hours. Guess what? After 8 days, still no response. I conclude that Whirlpool's customer service is as bad as their products. I feel like I've been ripped off and then they make fun at me! My advice is, be sure to check the customer service as well before settling on a brand. As for the durability of the products, Whirlpool informed me that this refrigerator has a lifespan between 7 and 10 years. Irresponsible for the environment as well. Think twice before buying Whirlpool appliance.

Worst to clean

This came with our house, and I can promise you that I would never purposely purchase this model. The bottom of the fridge is not flat, has tracks for the drawers, and the tracks are BOLTED to the bottom. Any spill that finds it's way drains next to the bolts where it's a PITA to clean. Whoever designs this mean hate anyone who cleans. I'm very unlikely to ever buy a Whirlpool in the future if this is the standard to which they hold their designs.

Replacement Unit After Almost One Year of Problems

This unit replaced a unit that I purchased nearly a year ago. After much wasted time and a lot of spoiled food Whirlpool finally did the right thing and replaced it. I purchased Whirlpool appliances for my new kitchen makeover at my father's direction. He has had great experience with them over the years. I don't think I will give them a second chace after being treated so poorly....

Terrible Experience will not return

I bought this fridge months ago and whirlpool could not send me doors that were not dented. We went back and forth for almost 9 months regarding a fridge that was supposed to be NEW. It was my understanding that whirlpool had a great product, but this experience has shown me I should never buy whirlpool or any affiliate companies ever again.

Fails after TWO Years

When I bought my Condo 2 years ago, this fridge came with the appliance package. After 2 years the cooling died on me. I never had a fridge die on me that quickly. Whirlpool Warranty does not cover "SEALED REFRIGERATION SYSTEM" for this model, different models different general warranties.

Repaired Already

I bought this 3 weeks ago , had to have the electronics replaced after basically new out of the box. Whirlpool should have replaced a fridge that needed repair right after I got it.It still does not keep a constant temperature in the freezer but I have been told that a 15 degree fluctuation between -5F and +10F is normal. I have never owned a refrigerator that does not have a separate control for the freezer. The quality of the entire fridge is poor at best, cheap plastic door shelves, no freezer light, useless freezer door shelves. It will probably have to be replaced shortly after the warrantee expires. To say the least I am not impressed and wish I had found one on display before I bought it as I would have never bought one.

I made the huge mistake of buying this device online, never suspecting that access to the primary compartment (not the freezer) would be such an uncomfortable, back-bending exercise. This fridge is poorly designed and I would never buy it had I known.

No matter how much we put in freezer, have to unplug every four weeks to defrost unit. Freezer works but bottom unit is a huge pain to mantain. Stay away from this unit.

Terrible, description claimed there was a light in the freezer, the freezer door guard rails allows all your priduce to fall out the bottom. Cleaning the bottom is a nuisance because door has to be open 90 degrees. Overall this product sucks from your false description to its actual application plwase give me back my money.

Three things disappoint me about this fridge: first the fact that it only has one temperature adjustment means that when the freezer is cold enough for ice cream, the fridge is freezing things a little. Next, the wide freezer door shelf bottom is not wide enough and items easily fall through. Last, the plastic liners inside the fridge are not sealed up to the outer cabinet, air leaks. Another brand bites the dust.

Purchased this brand because it was one of the few fitted in my space. Flimsy quality. Meat drawer glide broke after 6 months. Makes running noises. Difficult to see whats in my fridge. I usually get on my knees. No egg tray or usual accessories. I was spoiled with my GE bottom drawer freezer that is no longer in spock

Annoying sound when compressor is running

Good job keeping food cool, but makes a high pitched sound while running. This refrigerator is larger than the one it replaced, but seems smaller, due to shelf layout and small bins. Frig door is low, so need to bend down to access things. Have frequently bumped head on freezer door.

Returned this unit .Dissatisfied with shelf design. Freezer shelves too narrow with no bottom. Smaller item fell through to floor. refrigerator shelves when adjusted to fit larger bottles did not allow items to fit in shelf below. Freezer has no light. The freezer door extends down and out too far so that to see items on top shelf we had to bend down.and subsequently hit our head on the freezer door getting item out..

Refrigerator door poorly aligned - sags 1/4 -inch. Two attempts by repair technicians to align who concluded it it a manufacturing or design defect. A replacemnt refrigerator was delivered but had the same problem. Returned refrigerator for another brand refrigerator.

I purchased themail first refrigerator in Jan 2015. The unut was cooling at all. The refrigerator had to be replaced in Feb 2015. I purchased the same model. I've had problems with the freezer not defrosting and my food end up going bad in the bottom part. I have had work done twice on this unit, the last being in November 2015. Now I have to make another service call. It is very frustrating.
