Simpler Is Better, I Hope

First of all, I must say that the appliance repair person stated that side-by-side Maytag refrigerators are the least frequently malfunctioning refrigerators in her 30+ years of experience. She rarely receives a call to repair a Maytag. Ergo, my choice. She also pointed out that the more complex an appliance is, the more likelihood that something with malfunction; so, I chose a simpler design than my refrigerator that died. I like the size of this new refrigerator, and I am hoping the 10-year warranty means it will last longer than the top-of-the line but problem-ridden/multiple-class-action-lawsuits LG it is replacing, but I was expecting a better quality interior, specifically the shelves and drawers. The shelves are completely non-adjustable, and the drawers are cheap plastic. The top four shelves are illuminated by only one light, which is located in the top right corner, leaving the lower shelves quite dark since the second shelf is metal. This is the first "sight-unseen" refrigerator that I have purchased, and I knew I was choosing a less expensive appliance (it is replacing a french door/bottom drawer freezer model), but I wish I would have examined the pictures and description details more carefully. However, I am willing to accept the tradeoff if this refrigerator lasts for more years than the last two (both from LG, both less that 10 years). Bottom line--I will only know how satisfied I really am after many years of functional refrigeration.

Ice/water

The only thing I have a problem with is the water and ice. The way it is positioned when you want ice it’s too easy to hit the water that set up needs to be different. You have to have a certain size cup, which a small glass works better. I don’t use small glasses when I get a glass of ice water. And my husband does not like the fact to change the filter it’s at the bottom of the refrigerator!

Decent fridge; obvious cosmetic repair.

We have had this refrigerator for about three weeks and it is fine, nothing fancy but that is one of the things I like about it. My only complaint is that the corner looks like it was repaired with foaming Gorilla Glue before it was wrapped up. That wasn't very cool. I will try to attach a photo.

Everything we needed and more!

All the features of this refrigerator were what our family needed. We upgraded from a very old unit that was on its last legs. The LED lighting is great and you're able to see everything in the refrigerator side well. The freezer light is easy to block but, the ease of organizing makes up for this minor deficiency.

Drips on the floor

Bought this refrigerator to immediately replace our old one that broke. It works as stated but we have an issue with the water dispenser. It sticks out just far enough from the dispenser’s lip edge to shed a drip or 2 out onto the floor after removing a drinking glass. Having 3/4” hardwood flooring, this could lead to water soaking into the floor joints causing warping and cupping of the wood floor. All in all, a bad engineering design! There was no removable dispensing tray that came with this refrigerator so we had to buy a substitute and cut it to fit. Not too happy about having to do that.

We bought our refrigerator a few weeks ago and are satisfied for the most part. The plastic side trays must be snapped in or else it poses the risk they would fall which unfortunately happened to us. Satisfied with the water and cube dispensing. Space is sufficient for us as a family of 4.

Not fond of the shelves being fixed and not adjustable. Missed that in looking at units. I do like the ice bin on the door saving space but not easy to reach on and off behind ice bin to turn off ice making process. If full and I forget to turn it off, it can be problematic. It is super quiet and over all nice.

I've had this appliance for a little over a month ago. Beautiful design, but it's loud. Guess water and ice machine, I'm not sure. But it makes a noise until you open a door and it stops but starts back up as soon as door is closed again. Not sure why.

It has been very delightful having a new Maytag refrigerator. My favorite feature is the soft freeze compartment. I have never seen such a thing and it is so convenient being able to dig into our ice cream right out of the freezer! The insides of the refrigerator are bright and easy to see because of the abundant lighting inside. I can’t think of a bad thing to say about this wonderful refrigerator. I liked the one we had, but it was 19 years old and I’m very glad that I chose this Maytag!

It’s well lit. Seems roomy. Not liking how the outside set up for getting water and ice. When trying to get ice, it’s hard to not hit the water button. You have to get the glass really low. I love the idea of a soft serve area in the freezer, but it’s a little hard to get the container put into it.

Overall good quality. Low level fan noise, no feet underneath to keep the refrigerator from easily moving. I had to put rubber pads under the front wheels to keep it from moving when the doors were opened or closed. Lunch meat drawer is a little flimsy when the drawer is filled. More usable room inside then older 25 cu ft that I had.

We got our fridge two weeks ago to replace our old side by side and I’m hoping I get used to it. I like the freezer side of the unit but am not enamored with the fridge side. I wish it had pull out shelves and that the door didn’t swing out and feel like it’s got enough velocity to break off. I have to hold the door with my foot. The in the door shelves also feel very fragile and I hope they hold up. We bought these online and did not get the chance to see these features first. Glad for the Maytag name and service reputation.

Looks Great and Very Roomy

We bought this refrigerator due to multiple malfunctions and the ultimate complete failure of a Kenmore Elite. Even at less than half the price of the Kenmore, this refrigerator feels more spacious. It took only a few hours to get to optimum cooling and freezing temperatures. The icemaker bucket is much more easily removed than the previous model. The vertical freezer pizza storage is a nice touch. The unit is stylish and looks like it would be a much more expensive model. The door handle configuration is ideal in that it does not narrow toward the refrigerator at the top and bottom of the handles (you are less likely to get your hand caught while opening or closing the doors or having the diamond ripped from your spouse's wedding ring--yes, that happened). The only reason I did not give this refrigerator five stars is that it seems a little loud for an open kitchen/living room setup. On the other hand, the sound does assure me that I will at least have cold milk, a luxury that I have missed for a few years.

Nice but a few concerns.

Purchased our Maytag about a month ago and we like it but don’t enjoy how loud it runs. Seems louder than any unit we’ve ever had. The water dispenser leaks after use and we don’t want our shiny new refrigerator marked up with our hard water spots. Plan to reach out to get it serviced. Wish it would’ve been perfect right out of the box!

Sold Fridge, Works Great

I've had this fridge for about 2 months. It's excellent. It fit perfectly in the spot. It has a lot more room than it appears (note that I'm one person so you might need more space for a family!). The door can get heavy when it's loaded up, but I don't think that's an issue once you are aware. I like that the water dispenser is configured in a way that you can fill water bottles and larger containers. I researched for about 2 months before choosing the Maytag. My repair person for my old fridge said he never gets calls for Maytag or Whirlpool -so I went with that.

This replaced a bottom freezer with two doors for the refrigerator GE. My old GE was a few inches larger and actually held less. The motor/fan on the maytag is very quiet which is nice because I have an open layout living room/kitchen. Even the ice machine is not loud. The filtered water comes out much faster than my GE. I love the specific drawer in the freezer for ice cream which allows you to pull out ice cream and eat it without being too soft or rock hard.

Looks Beautiful

I bought this on 8/7/24 and I am so happy that I did. The tile in my kitchen was almond (from the 90's) and so was my old refrigerator. Whether or not I was going to like my new stainless steel fingerprint resistant Maytag was still hanging in the balance. I cannot stress enough how great this looks with my almond tile and oak cabinets. Not to mention that it works great!!! Every day, I think how glad I am to have made this choice.

Good value, makes noise

We've had this refrigerator for about a month now. The value is great. I like the ice maker, and it fulfills our needs for the most part. There is more storage space than I anticipated, especially on the doors. Some drawbacks: It is loud, which isn't a problem for our house. If you can't handle a fridge "hum", don't buy it. The water dispenser takes some getting used to. If you're not careful, it will continue to dispense when you're finished. It also moves easily on its wheels, so I had to basically chock the front to keep my teenagers from pulling this fridge out too far.

Good Buy to replace 15 year old Refrigerator

The refrigerator is an overall good buy. Has a lot of compressor noises that I never heard from my previous refrigerators. Some design flaws with the water spout getting water on the floor vice tray. For the first few days I had to put a cup to catch water dripping from the ice tray. Overall a good refrigerator so far but it needs some refining to make it a Great buy...plus time will tell.

Plenty of storage for a side-by-side refrigerator

Overall, we are pleased with our purchase of this Refrigerator model. This is our 2nd Maytag Refrigerator and bought the same brand as our last one lasted just shy of 30 years! For a side-by-side refrigerator, this model has plenty of storage within the freezer and refrigeration units. This model has the water and ice dispenser on the outside of the freezer door which is what we had with our last model. However, we feel the ice maker in this model makes ice very slowly in comparison to our last refrigerator or other models' family and friends have. I believe improvement could definitely be made with ice making on this model.

I love my new refrigerator. We had an old refrigerator. I think it was a 1972 model. The ice maker/dispenser was broken and it was 5 Cubic feet smaller. This Maytag refrigerator has the ice dispenser in the door freeing up more space in the fresh food section. It also has more light behind the shelves.

Product is satisfactory with one exception. The in-door ice maker intermittently leaks small drips of water following dispensing a glass of water. I have to keep a small absorbing rag to catch the unwanted drips at the bottom of the dispensing unit. Problem 2: I have to clean out the rhyme ice about every 4r to 6 weeks in order to maintain proper dispensing of cubes. It simply is an aggravation.

Our refrigerator space is smaller than I wanted and I was limited in which refrigerator I could buy. I had a 26 cu ft that didn't fit the space and stuck out - like a sore thumb. I wanted a nice look but didn't want to loose refrigerator space inside. This was a nice compromise.

We have only had it for a few weeks but we like the fridge. The ergonomics of the doors and the handles are compact and comfortable to operate. You need to have the fridge running at the 4th mark to keep the dispensed water cold. The top shelf in the freezer does not sit completely flat which if you are OCD can be annoying. Overall it is a nice unit.

Very happy to have this replace my 30 year old Kenmore. Love the Fridge side, but putting the ice maker in the freezer door eliminates the small shelves that I enjoyed in the old Fridge. But, I have more shelf space in the freezer section itself. I just have to get used to it. It is quiet and the shelving in the fridge section is well laid out. Great ice maker.

Needed to replace a 20+ Y.O. unit

Our old fridge was still keeping food cold/frozen, but the ice maker quit working. As the unit was 20+ years old, thought it might be time to replace before it got worse. We were looking for something similar that had the ice bin in the door. This was it. The bins in the refrigerator door are adjustable and supposedly hearty enough to hold a gallon of milk. The door bins are used for condiments and other miscellaneous small/skinny bottles, so no issues there... I do wish there was an additional shelf in the refrigerator and we're still trying to sort out the freezer... There isn't as much freezer door space as the old unit. The ice maker is great so far! Smaller cubes but for crushed ice they are great...

Should have researched it more, shelves are not adjustable, ice cubes are small and ice maker is slow and doesn't keep up with our demand. Using ice trays to supplement. Small dent in freezer door, not bad but noticeable. Freezer and refrig controls are not variable. I have freezer set on lowest setting and it drops to -6 degrees.

It's now been about 5 weeks that we have had our new refrigerator, and we do like it. At first our one fruits and vegetable drawer had to be adjusted because it was pushing in on an angle. In the newer refrigerators, they just don't put in tracks for the drawers like they used to. My biggest hassle has been with the finish on the doors. We went with the finger - print proof exterior. The problem is that when I wipe away a smudge, the area grows with each wipe until the majority of the surface looks smudgy. I don't know if it is a residual effect from the product that was used by the installers when they delivered the refrigerator or what. I've washed it with soapy water, and it is still impossible to get all the smudges off. I never had this problem with our last finger- print resistant refrigerator, and I'm wondering if anyone else is experiencing this. Also, the refrigerator runs an awful lot compared to any previous models we have owned.

Fridge is good. I think they tried to get a little too fancy with the freezer. The pizza shelf is awkward and makes two small shelves which are not very usable. The soft freeze shelf in the door also isn’t very usable. I think mine might be defective as it doesn’t swing out and back easily.

The refrigerator is very nice. Modern, stylish and has plenty of storage space in the fridge and freezer. The negative comments would be the motor is somewhat noisy. I can always hear it running. And the water dispenser spills out water onto the floor if you remove your glass too quickly- I have to give it a 2-3 seconds after I stop filling in order to keep the water from splashing onto the floor. Overall, I feel like it’s a nice appliance.

This refrigerator replaced a 5 year old LG, that gave us multiple problems. Unlike the LG, the Maytag has real stainless steel on the doors, and it looks very nice. 1) The motor, however, is louder than the LG, or our previous 2- Sub Zeros, or the old Maytag we had in the 1990s. 2) There are also not multiple ways to adjust he shelves. - Except for these two issues, I rate it now with 4 stars.

I'd prob spend more next time for a higher quality fridge. This one is too loud for my sensitive ears ! I bought some foam sound proofing panels to lessen the decibles. Make sure you don't cover the fan grate in back if you do this.

Looks nice but needs improving with water and ice

I like the look of this side by side fingerprint resistant refrigerator. The problems I've noticed after using for almost 6 months are: the water dispenser will drip twice after use (user is already gone after delayed drip so it runs down the front of door causing what appears to be rust spots) currently keeps sponge there that catches the drips but looks terrible; and ice maker bar that prompts machine when ice is low to make more ice gets what appears to be an accumulation of water drips that turn into an ice clump that freezes the bar in the position that indicates ice is full so no ice is produced - this is a relatively easy fix by scraping off but very annoying.

Our new Maytag side by side looks great. Has great storage capacity, the ice and water features are great. Two things kept this from getting higher stars - 1) the ice maker bypasses the installed filter and more importantly 2) the condenser and fan run almost constantly. We know they are more energy efficient, but we have noise sensitive family members and the condenser and fan are not as quiet as we hoped.

I have had fridge for few weeks. Previously owned a maytag wide by side for 25 yr and it was the best not one issue! The new one was a little overpriced in my opinion but hoping for another 25 so bit the bullet. First two days it was noisy and not what I hoped. I re organized the freezer three times before I found something that made it stop buzzing. Note my fridge and freezer are always below 50 percent full. The build seems weaker but time will tell just hope it's reliable.

Everything seems to be OK as far as temperature. The only issue I have had thus far as the icemaker won’t produce ice outside of making one batch and no matter what I try to do as far as get the bin to seat right it won’t work and I have to call my own Repair Man because I Maytag couldn’t supply me with a local repair man from Maytag themselves. So this is just a frustration. I’m not sure if it happens to multiple people.

Only had this a week. Can't wait to find out what else I don't like about it. 1. Not enough adjustable stops on refrigerator door. Bottom shelf has almost enough room to stack 2 wine bottles, one on top of the other. That leaves the shelves above it too close together. 2. The compressor never stops running. It runs 24 hours a day. 3. You can't set the temperature. instead, you're given 5 options; least cold to most cold. Really?

I love the water filter being a reverse osmosis. I like the idea of the three drawers in the refrigerator, but it limits the shelf heights and thus limits the amount of stuff you can put in the fridge. the soft freeze icecream storage in the freezer is another great idea, but you have to remove the shelf above it to get things in and out of it. it would have been better to make the compartment a pull-out so you didn't have to remove anything else. The pizza box area is great if you always have pizza in the freezer but I don't so it's kind of useless for me.

I got this refrigerator about a month ago and wish I had done more research/thought prior to purchase. I like the ice maker in the door which in theory makes more freezer space, however, there was (IMO) wasted space in the freezer. The freezer shelves are arranged kind of weirdly making it more challenging to place items in the freezer. On the refrigerator side, the shelves are not adjustable. The only shelf that will hold a normal sized water bottle upright is the top shelf. The other shelves only hold shorter items and I had to store a lot of items in the refrigerator door that would normally have been stored on the shelves. Overall, it is average.

This product replaced a nearly identical fridge that I had for 20 years. For the most part I like this fridge particularly the icemaker/water dispenser/freezer design which, like my old fridge, preserves the top (eye level) shelves in the freezer. A few things are different and a bit strange. The fixed height shelves in the fridge are at an odd height, so much so that we leave one shelf out. The fridge also seems to run unusually often, or at least I can hear more than my old one so I notice it more. It isn't loud, just noticeable.

The compressor is the loudest I have ever heard from a fridge or freezer. You can hear it outside of the Kitchen. That's nothing compared to the ice maker dispenser which is extraordinarily loud, even set on "Cube". No one could talk on the phone in the kitchen while someone is dispensing ice. It is startling.

I purchased this model refrigerator a couple of weeks ago. I like the appearance, we are still trying to figure out the interior design because it is much different from our old refrigerator. Why the low rating? This refrigerator is very loud just running doing its thing, the ice maker is loud especially crushing the ice. Freezer design could be better, more bins instead of shelving. Our old 24 year old Kenmore was much quieter all around compared to this new refrigerator.

Plastic shelves appear weak and may be subject to breakage. 1-2 mm thicker would feel better. Some Plastic parts )drawers, covered butter area on top of fridge door) - are warped and don’t fit or move easily. Pizza area in freezer is wobbly and feels fragile.

i bought this a few weeks ago and after it was delivered noticed a loud humming noise. it immediately stops when you open either door and starts up again when the door is closed. we have contacted maytag.whirlpool and they will not send a technician out as they say the loud noise is normal. i am 80 and my wife is 74, we raised six kids who are now married with their own kids. EVERYONE AGREES that the noise is loud and not normal.

I bought this fridge last March so I've had it for a year. I have had service on the freezer 3 times already and am ready to call for the 4th time. The ice dispenser keeps getting built up frost underneath which makes everything inside have frost on it. The flap to close the ice dispenser does not close all the way and every part has been replaced so not sure what they can do but it is not acceptable. The fridge side has 3 drawers and they all stick to where there are plastic shavings being made and the middle drawer goes in crooked so eventually it is going to break. The motor is very loud and does not sound like it is running properly. I have always bought Maytag. I have a Maytag stove that is 25 years old, never had a days trouble with it. I have a Maytag fridge in my basement that is 30 years old (no ice dispenser) so I was a true believer in their products but now....not so sure

It works better than the one that died We were so excited when we bought the Maytag refrigerator but not so much after one week The rubber leveling (stop rolling) feet were missing and it rolls forward when you open the door and back when you close it. The ice maker doesn’t drop the ice out, you have to take the ice bucket out of the freezer to get ice. The refrigerator door will not close on its own. I also purchased an extended warranty but the warranty company states that they do not cover noise, even though it could be a faulty compressor. I gave it a 2 because it’s cold , the spacing is terrible , the freezer side is terrible, god help you if you buy a frozen pizza! The arrangement of shelves on the fridge side is basically a book shelf with a drawer at the bottom so you are forced to just pile all your stuff on the and have to dig to find anything. I fill absolutely never buy a side by side fridge again. The water filter needs to be changed every 6 months it says good luck finding it . The water out of my kitchen tap tastes perfect the water and ice out of the fridge tastes like it was stored in an old gas can . Absolutely the stupidest refrigerator I’ve ever owned in every way

We've had this refrigerator less than a year. It's very disappointing. I've had multiple cans of biscuits just pop in the frig. Ice cubes will just fall out every once in awhile. It seems like it runs a lot. I had always had Whirlpool, and I regret this purchase. Plus the shelves can't be adjusted and you can't even stand a two liter bottle up on the top shelf. The freezer area is small and the divided shelf makes zero sense.

The dispenser is also nowhere near large enough for today's normal cups. The refrigerator and freezer is fine, but the ice dispenser is a mess. You cannot fit anything under the dispenser chute and when you manage to find a glass small enough to fit in it, the ice dispenser ends up dripping melted ice cube water into the tray for the next hour. It there was a realistic way to return a refrigerator, I would return it for a refund. Maytag went from the best ice maker in 2010 to the poorest design in 2025.

I have had the fridge a little over a week. Repairman coming today. Icemaker will only dispense and crush about half the time. I have to open the door and readjust the bucket. The unit runs all the time. I will ask about that today. According to what I read, they are only supposed to run 30-80% of the time. Not too happy. Looks nice though. I bought this model in December 2024, the model does what it should. I only gave it 2 stars because the ice dispenser will not drop ice out since the day it was set up. You have to dig ice out by hand, which means transfer of germs. Also the outside moisture causes bottom layer of ice in container to block up and you have to periodically ice pick it and dump in sink to start over with fresh ice.

Ice Box issues

We have trouble with the ice dispenser. The ice cubes freeze together on the right side of the ice box and the water seems to accumulate ice on the right side of the box as well. I have the setting for the freezer and the refrigerator set on 3 and this is cooling both sides just fine. I bought it because it's Maytag and as a mother and wife with 2 kids, I figured going with a good brand-I would not be disappointed. YET, here I am giving a crappy review. This refrigerator is not a good buy. I've had it less than a 3 years and it's defiantly built to fall apart and so you have to get a new one.

We bought this about a month ago to replace a Samsung with a broken freezer. This refrigerator is the loudest kitchen appliance we've owned. The fan is so loud we placed a service call. The fan can be heard from our second-floor hallway. The repairman came and told us the unit was working properly and there's nothing we can do about the noise. He said, "they just don't make them the way they used to". We purchased this refrigerator as part of an appliance package. We actually replaced everything in or kitchen with Maytag appliances. Hopefully this is not an indicator of thing to come with our other appliance.

Not Happy..

Replaced our fridge with this Maytag, and had high expectations. Fridge is made cheaply, with several problems, including the crisper bins, freezer shelves and water / ice dispenser. Crisper shelves don't stay in place, are not straight and no fix for them. Fridge also does not have a door alarm, which should be on every fridge.

Lackluster Refrigerator

My experience so far has been that I am grateful it is still running. I am sure glad I purchased the extended warranty on this refrigerator. I the 3 years of ownership the icemaker and dispenser has been serviced 5 different times. everything from not dispensing ice, not making ice, and getting jammed up. The ability to switch from crushed to cubed ice causes the dispenser to jam up and has not worked well since day one. The technician said that the poor insulation in the door caused the ice to get to warm and refreeze which caused the jamming problems. He tried to reseal the door and this has helped somewhat. The pull-out drawers have been problematic. The drawer handles have cracked, and one handle partially broke off. Found out that the warranty does not cover replacing the drawers after the first year. Just cheap construction. Then at the 2 year time frame the big reason for my mediocre review occurred, the compressor went out and I lost all the food in the refrigerator and freezer. And finally, the led light pod went out in the freezer, so I had to use a flashlight to find items in the freezer.

Interior space doesn't fit my needs. Bought without physically looking at the refrigerator. Will never do this again. Great looking and functions as it's supposed to but shelves are not adjustable and ice maker/water in door takes too much room in the freezer compartment. Not my best purchase!

AFTER ONLY 13 MONTHS THE COMPRESSOR WENT OUT, LUCKILY WARRANTY REPLACED IT. NOT MUCH LONGER AFTER THAT IT STARTED MAKING A BUZZING/HIGH PITCHED NOISE AND THE THE ICE MAKER FREEZES UP AND HAS TO BE CONSTANTLYY EMPTIED AND DETHAWED, SO IT GOT MOVED TO THE UTILITY ROOM AS A SPARE REFRIGERATOR

Our ice maker is super loud and doesn’t work often. We have to take the ice container out and use a blow dryer on it for 10 + minutes to defrost the inside of the unit before it starts working again.

I have never had such a loud refrigerator. It only quiets down when i open the doors. I have always trusted Maytag but this refrigerator is so noisy i hear it two rooms away. My old one was quiet except when fan or pumps came on this one runs 24/7 do not buy this model

extremely loud and poor design

This fridge is extremely loud! It has a pulsating humming noise ever since we bought it! Yes, it is level! The water nozzle is on the outside of the catch basin, so when it drips after filling a cup it always leaves a drip mark on the front outside of the fridge...a very poor design. The shelves inside should be adjustable too. I am stuck with one height, so I either need to remove a shelf for large items or not have large/tall items. This was my first Maytag appliance and more than likely my last.

Disappointing

Constant grinding noise from ice maker automatically checking amount of ice, poor lighting in refrigerator. Fan runs all the time. Manual instructions on leveling very confusing. Had a Maytag that lasted 20 years. Compared to that one this refrigerator is a big disappointment.

Summary: NOT recommended PROS: - space is large - nice looking - function is good (nice balance between too basic and too fancy) CONS: - noise. TOO noisy to be ignored as background. Humming 80% of the time. Noise is gone when door is open, be comes back when door is closed. Not sure why, but obviously there are other users saying the same thing.

Noisy, runs constantly

Noisy, Noisy, Noisy. Runs 20+ hours a day and there doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when it will shut off: doesn't seem to be temperature or time based as to when it will stop. Frig range 38-40 deg. Freezer -10 to +10 at factory setting. When it does stop, only for 10-45 min., even when doors are not opened. One star because it at least keeps food cold but would not recommend.

Garbage

I should have bought a GE like I was going to in the first place this one was way too much money too with all the problems that come with it.. if I could give it no stars that's what I would do and I'd warn other people to stay away from whirlpool. Ice Maker doesn’t work!

Ice maker didn’t work right after installation. Tech came to fix it.. stopped working. Another tech. Stopped working. Replaced the door and now it stopped working again and out of warranty. I always thought Maytag was the best. Guess not anymore.

Disappointed

I replaced my 16 years old Maytag with this one. Very disappointed . Run loud, even disturb you at night, since then i had to close the bedroom door at night. Run all day none stop even the cold level was adjusted to medium. Ice falls out of the door. Maytag lost the quality of the old day. Delivery guy didn't even level the fridge. Both doors were not level. I had to it myself.

Piece of junk

Bought this less than 3 years ago. No ice for 8 months and tired of putting money into parts. Two days ago refrigerator side quit working. Cleaned coils etc. not working. We have always loved Maytag and Whirlpool but never again.

Two units, same loud/vibrating noise

Terrible unit. It was buzzing and humming loudly from day 1. After replacing almost everything in the fridge, our local sales person replaced it with the same unit. This unit is even louder! Poorly made - panels are loose, fans buzz, constant vibrations create humming and buzzing so loud I can hear it from my upstairs carpeted bedroom on the other side of the house with my door shut. Maytag was 0 help and only wanted to continue to service the brand new unit instead of provide a replacement.

It runs all the time. There is no explanation for this in the information booklet. There should be. Also, the door handles are quite skinny. The energy use informational sticker says it is not one of the lower energy use models.

CANNOT RECOMMEND MAYTAG TO REFRIGERATOR-SHOPPERS

When operating, this unit is EXTREMELY LOUD! The SHELVING is SLOPPY...not fitting well. Unit freezer-front- door-panel has a "compression" area (not originally noticed when delivered)... noticeable with right light-angle. The interior water line coil position is POORLY PLANNED. The coil does not allow for solid drawer closure. The Defroster didn't work at all when first delivered (according to Service Man). Was without proper refrigeration for seven days because the freezer compartment was not defrosting at all and ice plugged up everything.

Does not work !

The brand new refrigerator never worked straight out of the box. The freezer was not freezing and the fridge was not cooling and the soonest they could have someone out to look at it was 11 days later. My food has gone bad and gad to be thrown away. The whole experience has been a nightmare!

Very disappointed with my refrigerator. Doors uneven(right side higher) adjustment maxed out. Right side door swings open violently of you let it go. Water from the water dispenser drips right on the edge, drip runs down the front of the fridge door. I would like to talk to a representative, too many issues.
