Only fridge that was not too wide for depth

Great fridge-but most importantly does not stick out into room beyond “countertop depth”. Also extremy quiet too. Old fridge was so loud could not hear ocean outstretched dr-now loud and clear!

Nice refrigerator

I purchased this refrigerator about two weeks ago this Saturday after Thanksgiving. So far, it works very well it’s extremely nice aesthetically pleasing if you’re trying to get a refrigerator for a large Family this isn’t it. I live alone, so this is perfect for me. Honestly, I would say it’s a good size for a small family.

Beautiful and easy organizing.

We’ve only moved into our new refrigerator for about a week and haven’t fully stocked it yet. It feels like it may be on the smaller side but it’s just me having to adjust to the new way of organizing it. I love the look. I love the freezer compartments. Although not stocked yet, the freezer was the draw for me. I just couldn’t stop thinking about it any time we discussed appliances for our new kitchen. It looks beautiful and stocking it will be so much easier than the prior freezer with things just stacked on top of each other. That freezer is why we bought all new KitchenAid appliances.

Specification issue

I like the refrigerator but the specifications are incorrect. The height is listed as 69 inches, my cabinet opening is 70 inches high the actual height of the unit is over 71 inches. There is a structural piece 1 1/2 inches high that extends 6 inches out from the face of the refrigerator cabinet. This protrusion prevents the unit from being flush with my existing cabinet. The unit was to be counter depth, now due to the issue I will have to have my cabinet altered in order to regain that 6 inches.

Simple Beauty

We purchased this refrigerator in May for a kitchen remodel, it was not installed until completion of our renovation at the end of August 2024. I chose this model for its counter depth because the footprint of our space is small and our big ol french door model with big handles blocked the flow at the end of our peninsula. A plus was the beautiful interior. The wood look accents and stainless knobs on bins. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL. It fits our space perfectly and is super easy to clean. The smaller capacity is not a problem for us, we are a two person household and things would get lost in our old and much larger capacity fridge and freezer. Keeping this organized is a dream. I did not want extra bells and whistles, no water dispenser as we have filtered water at our sink. I love the ice maker and the scoop. The drawers in the freezer are genius! The big drawer freezer in our old model was difficult to sort through. I ordered and cancelled several other models because after really looking at the specs, few were truly counter depth. All refrigerators will need to stick out of cabinets as bit to allow for opening, this is minimal and without bulky handles, it is perfection. I was skeptical about some claims that produce lasted longer in this model, I can report that this is true. I am beyond pleased with this purchase. I hope it lasts long, I don't want to shop for major appliances again any time soon.

Classic,Functional, and Well designed.

Shopping for a new refrigerator to fit into a 70”x36”x26’wall cabinet opening is a daunting task. Few manufacturers provide high end features on this small of a unit. The KitchenAid 4 panel door, matte stainless was perfect. Stylish, Flat Front, no handles, and Wood accent interior w/ice bucket dispenser was a custom fit! Built in look w/out the built in price.

Very pleased!

We've had our fridge for about a month now and are really pleased. We previously had a French door and while shopping for a new one, we considered the ones with a bottom drawer but accessing things in the back of that drawer seemed very inconvenient. The four door variety is much more practical and the ability to have 2 different freezer temp's is innovative. We love the lack of handles and overall aesthetics. One thing I would promote more if I were Whirlpool/Kitchenaid is the variable capacity motor. Instead of simply on or off, the compressor in this fridge can ramp up when extra cooling is required and ramp down to save energy. That's why this is an Energy Star fridge. One more thing: The ice this fridge makes is much better than the through the door Whirlpool model we previously owned. The cubes don't clump together or taste bad and they're much larger.

Be very careful with your measurements

We have this type of refrig, counter depth, little older model with the handles. The problem is that when installing, there is a plastic spacer spine down the back that keeps the refrig an inch from the back wall rendering it NOT counter depth. Thus, the depth shown on the rendering may not be accurate and you need to check this out. It said not to remove the spine as it is needed for air flow. We are so disappointed as our custom kitchen, where every inch was important, has this refrig that sticks out beyond the cabinetry! BTW, we were careful and got another brand of refrig for our 2nd home and it had air circulation built in and went flush to the back wall and looks great. This will always bother me to see it stick out!! BTW, the kitchen designer had the specifications.

Love this Fridge!

Absolutely love the fridge. Only reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because there is no water filter for the ice maker, so we had to buy our own. Additionally, the ice maker is very loud when pouring water to make ice. Other than that, we love it and would definitely buy again!

Flexible 4 door

We bought this about a month ago. We like the design and look. But this needs more space for refrigeration. Though you can adjust temperature for 3rd door but that only for freezer items. But it works well for the rest and keeps vegetables fresh in the space that is available. Note it has no water dispenser. We did not need one as we have a central water filtration system. Icing works well.

Great features if you do not need water & ice

I bought this just a few weeks ago and impressed with how quiet it is and the features, including the temperature controls for various parts of the refrigerator. If you need water and ice in the door, this will not provide that, however it does have a good icemaker. I bought a model without door handles however, now I have to think about where to hang my towels ha ha.

Love the Look!

I bought this refrigerator a month ago. The first one I received did not cool. The second one they sent, about a week later, the ice maker did not work due to frozen ice in line. Since that has been resolved, the refrigerator is working fine! The freezer bins knobs has a nice finger placement surface, however the bins feel a little light. I do love the wood grain look. In order to adjust the glass shelves, you have to pull the shelves towards you and tilt the rear glass edge downward. The refrigerator does not feel heavy to roll.

All I expected and more

This refrigerator is esthetically pleasing inside and out. The dual doors on top without the ice make in the area gives a great deal more usable space. The dual doors on the bottom all the separation of foods needing different temps. The icemaker works very well. I enjoy the pull out tray in the frig for all charcuterie items and the closed in drawers are a huge improvement over open area in the freezer.

I am happy I made this purchase. After reading some of the negative reviews and actually owning the fridge has taught me a lesson that some people will complain about everything! I love the look and the features. We bought this model because of the flex temp section and the fact they has it in a counter depth model. Love that everything in the fridge is visible. No more mystery meat! The door storage is awesome too.

Good fridge, could use additional features.

My husband and I purchased this unit, not realizing that the lower quadrant could not be made into an extended refrigerator. Also, as it makes ice, the addition of a filtered water pitcher would be a game changer. If those two things were changed about the unit, we would be over the moon. For now, it does the job, finishes are nice. The ice maker requires a bit of management, as it over fills if not toggled on/off based on how full the tray is.

I bought this Refrigerator 11 or so months ago and up to October 2 or 3, 2025 was very happy. However, this is my WARRANTY CLAIM because on the morning of October 2 or 3, 2025 the ice cubes in the tray were frozen in a solid block. When I removed the tray and took the ice block out I properly and carefully replaced the tray. Sadly, since that date water has not deposited in the ice maker and no ice has been made. I need service desperately. HELP!

There are many features to like about this refrigerator. The grey interior is easy to keep clean. The configuration of shelves makes placing items uncomplicated. The fingerprint-free exterior only needs an occasional wipe with a stainless steel cleaner. Its ADA approval makes reaching things in the freezer simple. I am happy with my choice.

I love this refrigerator. The motor is quiet. The ice maker is fairly quiet. I love the two separate doors and pull-out drawers for the freezer. The counter-depth size and recessed door-pull pockets (rather than door handles that stick out into the room) are also a plus. The only things I do not like about this refrigerator/freezer are the metal drawer pull knobs on the freezer drawers -- they can cause freezer burn on one's hands, especially is there is any moisture on the hands/fingers when touching these metal knobs. I suggest that hard plastic knobs would be an improvement.

Ice box area could be better thought out!

Love the look and functionality of this refrigerator. It is quiet and efficient to run with the small doors. If I could change one thing, it would be the ice drawer. The scoop is too long & narrow, it doesn't work well with scooping the size of ice cubes it makes. I had a shorter wider one we use instead that fits right in front of the ice box. I wish the space you created for your scoop wasn't there and I had a bigger box for more ice. But it does make ice quickly so I never seem to run out on a day to day basis, but I know it won't be enough when I have company. I love the pull our shelves in the freezer area.

So quiet! Perfect size and configuration for a couple. Icemaker works fine. People who comment on missing features, such as filter, did not pay attention to specs. Do your research. My only tiny complaint is that the metal drawer knobs in freezer are painfully cold.

We are waiting on a replacement left door for the refrigerator. The box was damaged and the door had a small dent. The bar that is supposed to swing out and back perpendicular does not operate properly. Hoping when the new door is installed it will correct that problem. I could not find in the manual or on line if the drawers are designated for particular use- i.e. crisper drawers, meat drawer etc. I love the counter depth design and it makes my kitchen feel bigger.

I purchased the quad door KitchenAid refrigerator a week ago. I really like the freezer compartment, but I do not like the shelving in the refrigerator top. I wish the shelves were adjustable in the middle by leaving one shelf long enough to hold a gallon of milk or picture of water you have a lot of wasted space on the other half of the shelf.

The brand/model caught my eye but

The brand/model caught my eye; I didn't want a water dispenser-no filter cartridge. (I have filtered water at my sink - on a raised foundation from my sink to the fridge.) My previous refrigerator of 25 years acquired a freon leak. "They don't make them like they used to" is hard for today's manufacturers to compete with. Kitchenaid has enjoyed a great reputation for quality. I had decided on the expense of a new appliance over repair. Realizing later my Amana might have thrived a decade more...might. My new refrigerator, all but its icemaker, is working fine. I discovered I prefer chilling water using a pitcher - and I'm drink more H2O. The icemaker worked after the install. I had the installer recheck it. My plumber confirmed I do have water to the appliance, just no ice cubes from the fridge. (There is an upside it runs quieter, no ice cubes dropping - I do use my ice trays, so I'm not without ice. I reached out to Kitchenaid service with an inquiry when registering my appliance through its 3rd party offering warranty coverage.

Looks and works great

Bought a month ago and love it. Perfect size for us. Well designed and looks great. Cleans easily and does not show fingerprints. Makes ice quickly. Only downside is the ice scoop is an awkward size that makes it hard to get full scoop of ice out but not enough of a problem to lose a star.

We bought this fridge a month ago, hurrying up after our old fridge suddenly died. All is good, except we found that its ring bell (when a door is open) is not loud enough to be heard from another room, and it operates for a short time and then stops (while the door is still open). This needs to be addressed in the future models. Curious if it can still be fixed in our unit?

We really like the refrigerator. Since there are few adjustments to the shelves, it required changing our habits for where we normally placed items. We really like the bottom freezer doors and drawers. I should mention the sound of water flowing into the ice maker is a bit loud. It is infrequent but noticeable. For us, this is not an issue.

Love this fridge!

We have only had this fridge for a little over a month, but so far we love it. It is just the two of us, so it has plenty of room. We really wanted the four door option, as we hated the black hole of the bottom drawer freezers we had had in the past. The freezer is so functional and easy to keep organized! It makes a ton of ice, which is great. It is also very quiet. I love the interior design with the wood grain finish. The only thing I don't love is that I can't really open the doors on one side fully because it is next to a wall. We just moved it as far to the other side as possible and it opens enough to get the drawers open, so it works fine.

Replaced 32 year old KitchenAid refrigerator

I bought this about a month ago to replace a 32 year old KitchenAid refrigerator. I needed a counter depth and one that didn’t require removing cabinets above it. It has been great. Like the four doors much better than the side by side model we had before. The ice is plentiful and easy to get to. The freezer compartment stays neat in the four drawers instead of all thrown into one large bin.

We were leary about purchasing a counter depth refrigerator and having less storage inside. It's really not an issue and it actually keeps you from hiding food that would just eventually have to be thrown out. This is a very nice, quality refrigerator.

Nice design. Can fit a lot of food inside. Even though my old fridge was 27 cubic feet and this one is 19 cubic feet, I can fit almost as mych food inside, especially in fridge area. I wanted counter-depth and due to opening, I was limited due to height specifications. Only has ice maker, no water dispenser. Unable to swing bottom left freezer door all the way open due to being next to wall. Therefore bottom left freezer drawer will only come out half way. Not a big issue.

The things I love

I love my new frig. It seems to have so much more room than my older frig that fit in the same space. I love the freezer shelves that are flat. Also, the refrigerator shelves are deeper than my last counter depth frig. I love the ice it produces, looks like the old fashion ice cubes made in trays. The ice compartment came with a bin with 3 sections. One I guess for other food, one for the scoop and one for the ice. I wish there was one bin that would hold more ice. Please let me know if that is an option.

Quiet Refrigerator - Limited Shelf Flexibility

Probably the quietest refrigerator I have ever had. Never hear it run. Everything is always cold in the refrigerator and freezer items are frozen solid. Like the digital display of the temperatures on the front when you open a door so see what the temperature is in the compartments. Purchased this refrigerator because of it being counter depth to gain a little space in the kitchen. However, I wish I would have examined the interior closer. Extremely limited in how shelves in the refrigerator and on the door can be arranged. One of the glass shelves is supposed to be adjustable but doesn't come out to raise it to give a little more height above the crispers. Only one of the door shelves on each refrigerator door can be adjusted and only by about an inch. Have always had great experiences with KitchenAid appliances. Our second refrigerator is a KitchenAid that is at least 30 years old and has never had a problem. I'm hoping this refrigerator lasts at least that long and will work to figure out best way to store items in the refrigerator to maximize the space with the limited shelf flexibility.

The freezer part is nice with adequate space. I love how quiet it is and I’ve gotten multiple compliments on the unique and beautiful appearance. I’m happy with it, but the only is it should have more space inside the refrigerated section

I can see where a family of 4 or more may need more room, but we love the aesthetic inside features and the sleek outside as well. Its plenty large enough for the 2 of us. We are very happy.

Well made with plenty of room

Very well designed. Only two small issues. No water filter for ice so added my own to protect the internal plumbing and one shelf can not be removed without the doors being removed. I do not need to remove it for cleaning or need to adjust that shelf but seems to be one design flaw. The controls are easy to find but need YouTube to find how to control temp. Default settings do work however.

Also wonder why I was not sent a review for my new range because it was dropped really hard when we went to pick it up and we told them we wanted a new one and were told that was what we were getting but I think they sent it back and tested it and sent the same one back because now that I have had time to spend with it more and more things seem to say dropped

Good size, but….

We like the counter depth of this refrigerator, but the ridiculous decision Kitchenaide made to design shelves that do not adjust without taking the refrigerator doors completely off, is a major negative with this model. We were surprised to find this out after we purchased the unit. It is otherwise a good addition to our kitchen.

non-adjustable shelves and right bin

I fell in love with the style of this KitchenAid refrigerator. It was exactly what I was looking for. I was told the middle shelf was adjustable ... perfect. I bought it. After delivery, I attempted to adjust the middle shelf and realized it was not adjustable which doesn't make any sense as it looks like it should be. I am extremely disappointed as the height is very small on the bottom shelf. It's more of a 2-shelf refrigerator. It's frustrating. 2nd complaint: one shouldn't have to open both doors to pull out the right bin. The left bin pulls out with only the left door open, but not so with the right bin. I wish I were still in love with this model, but unfortunately, I am not. By the way, since everything inside was wrapped and taped, I did not foresee any of the above problems

beautiful but...

I bought this refrigerator a month ago, and although its beautiful, I am not happy with the way the doors shut (or dont shut). All refrigerator Ive had previously, when I open the door I hardly have to push it. They seemingly close automaticaly with a light touch. This one does not. Every single time I open it I have to really push it to close it or the bell starts ringing because of an open door. Second, the shelves on the door are not deep at all. Will not hold a gallon of bottled water, too big. And the shelves are not adjustable to make them taller so it will not hold a gallon of water standing up, I have to lay them down. Its really a bummer because otherwise the outside and interior are beautiful.

Good Looking, but tiny

I have had this refrigerator for a month upon review. It is working as expected. Think of it as 4 dorm size refrigerators stacked, made into 1 piece. Pros- Good looking, right depth for my kitchen, makes enough ice( after adding a larger xoxo bin). Cons- Do not like the freezer . The plastic bins take valuable space away from this tiny area. Maybe I can remove them, will try. Also, can never remember what is where , end up opening each one to find what I need. What is the point? Would I purchase this again, No. I would take function over this design.

I had hoped for better features

I’m not very satisfied with the fridge. The freezer is too small to make a granita on a rimmed cookie sheet. After wine class, I had to remove the top shelf so the open wine bottles could stand up. I had a very difficult time reinstalling that top shelf. It didn’t seem to fit right. The right side crisper bin doesn’t open unless both refrigerator doors are open. The spacing between shelves is not adjustable without removing a whole width shelf. There is a rattling inside the refrigerator compartment that is present when someone walks on the kitchen floor. I haven’t been able to isolate it yet. I’m reluctant to try removing shelves to isolate the source because of the trouble I had putting the top shelf back in.

Everything you read is not accurate at all. I will never recommend dealing with Whirlpool or trust anything they post. My measurements were accurate and frig install beautifully and I cannot open doors due to false advertising in the space needed to open the doors.

I bought this for KitchenAid quality. It came with a defective door. No way to adjust the hinges. Cheap seals. Drawers that were not on guides and pulled out llike very cheap furniture. No adjustible shelves. Very displeased

Condensation issues. No filter.

Disappointed-expected more from Kitchen Aid. This refrigerator doesn’t have a deli drawer or humidity controls for crisper drawers for fruit and vegetables. I thought those things were standard in every refrigerator. There also is no filter for ice maker and you have to install an exterior one
