New Maytag replaces my 33 year old GE (my 44 year old GE basement Fridge is still running) Would have bought Two, but every Appliance store said “Keep the one that’s still running”

Great features and stylish

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I did quite a bit of research before purchasing this Maytag French Door Refrigerator. My kitchen is on the smaller size and I love how this looks in my home. I love all the features on this fridge. I had a side-by-side before and was concerned the bottom freezer would not hold many items. It holds more than my previous freezer and I love having the ice machine at the bottom.

Great refrigerator

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Bought refrigerator during covid. We do like our Maytag refrigerator. Only issue I would say is about the inside water line. If water residue drips inside refrigerator, a little corrosion happens at the bottom part.

It’s a Maytag!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) It looks fabulous. It works great. It’s a Maytag. And, the stainless steel is so easy to keep clean, it doesn’t show fingerprints at all. I will never buy another brand. Maytag is reliable and dependable. My parents had a Maytag washer and dryer for over 40 years.

This is a great fridge, it fits really nicely into our kitchen and we love the water on the inside which gives it a much cleaner look.

Great quality and nice, thoughtful design. I'll enjoy this fridge for the next 10 years.

NJ99 · Jul 26, 2024

Great, but low quality drawers

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We have had our new fridge for a few days and over all is great. Depth isn't much more than our counters and freezer closes easily. My biggest complaint is how cheap the fruit and veggie drawers are. They do not have tracks, so they "slide" plastic-on-plastic and easily get stuck at an angle. With kids using the fridge a lot, I anticipate broken drawers soon. Big disappointment. Otherwise, it fits our needs.

Sleek look!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Got this product a couple weeks ago and love the sleek look of it. Love the inside water dispenser, not a fan of them on the front side of the doors. The freezer could be larger but we have a few deep freezers so space is not an issue at this time.

Clean look

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I've had my refrigerator for about a month and so far we love it! We love the water being inside the door which keeps the front looking clean. It's spacious and roomy and efficient.

Lbrenden · Jun 12, 2020

Overall Great Features

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought this unit about a month ago and we are extremely pleased with how it works. The humidity control button solved the problem with moisture causing the freezer light to stay off (frozen in off position). The counter depth gives more room in the kitchen while making the 20 cu ft size seem larger with it's 36" width making it easy to store and reach more things on all shelves. The inside filtered water tap is easy to use and gives a cleaner look on the outside front of the unit. the lower drawer which opens the top cover as you pull out is a gret idea. The doors (and freezer drawer) open and close easily and the best feature is that the doors close in the middle with enough room that you don't have to close the left side first, then the right to ensure proper seal positioning. You can just open and close either side independent of the other or close both at the same time in any order!

A solid refrigerator at a great price

We have a small area for a refrigerator so we looked long and hard to find one that would fit. This Maytag fits the bill . . . perfectly.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought this Maytag freezer/refrigerator French door to replace our 45 year old GE side by side. I am in love with my new Maytag. I love the inside water system, the set up of the inside of the refrigerator and freezer. The appliance is beautiful and smart. I did not close door correctly and the appliance beeped to let me know that something was wrong This appliance is amazing

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Every thing about this fridge is awesome. It's quite, holds temp, does what a well made refrigerator is supposed to do. It looks great and the stainless finish really does its job by not showing fingerprints. The inside water dispenser keeps the outside of the unit look sleek. We're very happy with our purchase.

Best Refrigerator Out There Right Now

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I read reviews on hundreds of refrigerators for a few months. I decided on the Maytag counter depth. I'm glad I did. The only bad things the reviews said were noisy it is NOT you don't even hear it. Also the reviews said water drips on water dispenser .It only drips right after you fill the cup and it stops. Love the counter depth in my galley kitchen. So Pretty !! Also love the meat drawer. I can fit 2 gal. of milk in the door together. Great space inside. Keeps temp lots of ice.

So Far, So Good

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

Replaced our 33 year old GE, was going to also replace our 45 year old basement GE but every appliance store sales person said “as long as it’s working, keep it”. We bought the Maytag because it at least has a 10 year warranty on the compressor. Do wish the large Tray was actually “halved’ because its kinda annoying that you have to open “BOTH’ doors to use it 🙄

“Cool” and Perfect Fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) Love this model, the accessibility to items in the fridge is amazing. I love the layout. I’m very happy with the drawer freezer. I can organize my items with ease. The finish on the fridge is beautiful, easy to wipe and keep it looking new. This is the best fridge I’ve ever had! The alarm system if a door is ajar is a helpful feature. Everything is kept cool!

CandGH · Jun 22, 2025

Great looking!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

For the size of this refrigerator, it is wonderful, but I should have paid more attention to the size because it is smaller than what I replaced and it is a big adjustment for me, but that's on me, not Maytag.

Nice looking fridge with all the amenities

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

This is a lovely-looking fridge and does everything one would expect, including dispense filtered water. The only problem for me is that the freezer drawer means that it's hard to get to things that are at the bottom.

Pleased with performance/

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

i am most impressed the refrigerator temperature is consistent as set. Previous brand would freeze foods in the back of the refrigerator. I was constantly throwing about lettuce and some produce. It is working very well. Just one thing noted but can live with it. The shelves do no have back stops so things can be pushed up against the back. I noted in the comments about the enamel sides rather than stainless. This is counter depth so it is covered by the cabinet and is not noticed that much. Right now, pleased with the performance.

We have had this for just little over month now. We purchased it because it was one of the few that would fit in the space we have. I am not pleased about how the doors shut. Or I should say don't shut. You have to manually shut the right door after each opening. We do like the "true" counter depth though and we like the water dispenser being on the inside. Overall it's a good refrigerator for singles or couples because it is on the smaller size. Just disappointed with how the doors operate.

So Far I Love It!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I've owned this fridge a little over a month, so this review is based solely on cosmetics. I like everything about it so far, especially the fact that it is not loaded with electronics. The box that I had previously (a high end Bosch) had an app that allowed me to change the temperature from my phone and all manner of things; however, the compressor lasted just 3 years, so the electronics were useless; nothing but a sales pitch. I love the appearance of the Maytag and the ease of re-configuring the shelves. It's easy to operate, the ice it makes is great, and I feel great about this purchase; I hope I still do in ten years.

Love the Fridge section of the appliance. The freezer is smaller then I anticipated, but if you remove the ice maker that frees up space. The filtered water inside the fridge is great. The divided cheese drawer is very helpful.

Beautiful Fridge

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I bought this fridge online and so didn't see it before purchasing. It is a beautiful fridge and i love the counter depth look but to be honest, it is sooo much smaller then my old fridge that i decided to use this in a rental instead. i just couldn't give up the bigger space of my old fridge, when i was transferring from my old to the new, one side of my old fridge door filled both sides of the new fridge. that is a huge space difference! but if you are looking for a small fridge, this one is a beauty and has the icemaker and inside water dispenser in it.

Pleasantly Surprised

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We have been pleasantly surprised at the functionality of this refrigerator. We chose it straight off the website description, we didn't see it in person first. We were replacing a more expensive Frigidaire unit that had issues, so this was a warranty replacement. It is counter depth, and it did not have the same cubic feet capacity as the previous fridge, but it holds the same amount. We brought home a 29-pound Thanksgiving turkey, and it fit very well. The shelf held up well under it. The temperature has been even (so far) - the other unit had a tendency to freeze the food. It operates quietly. In time, I might get tired of opening the door to get filtered water from the spout on the side wall. However, the internal water will probably add to the life of the unit and make for fewer repairs. I've had enough repair calls for a while with the other fridge.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

i have owned this for 14 years. Cleans like new. I need a part and can not see how to order it. The hinge that holds the large full length cover for the vegetables broke and the side wall piece and the clear door needs replacement.

Great Fridge!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We bought this to replace a smaller refrigerator that came with the house we recently purchased. We love having the refrigerator part on the top so we don't have to bend over to see what's in it, and we don't get into the freezer as much. The glass shelves are very nice and tall bottles fit nicely in the doors. The fingerprint resistant finish is awesome-- I've opened it multiple times with dirty or wet hands and you can barely tell. We haven't hooked up the water yet, so I can't speak to that. Overall, we really love this fridge!

Great counter depth fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I have had this fridge for just over a month now. It definitely takes some used to as you will notice a capacity difference if you are going from a normal size to a counter depth. It is nice and quiet and the water is super cold. Cons would be having to actually go into the freezer to get ice vs ice in the door option but this allows for more storage inside so the trade off is worth it. The metal wire in the ice container can sometimes get stuck when you have an abundance of ice so remember to lift it up if you don’t need any more ice created. Overall I am very happy with this fridge and, to me, is out performing the fridge we replace which was more than double the price. Now, if only I could master the art of not buying so many groceries….

Great Looks

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I have had this refrigerator a month now;it was purchased to replace a Maytag (side by side) which was 22 years old. Positives: - It looks beautiful (exterior) just soap/water cleanup. - Well laid out (designed) interior. - Well placed cold water dispenser. - It's produce bins keep vegetables very long (truly humidity controlled). - The cheese and deli meat drawer very well (thought out) designed. - It is extremely quiet -Very energy efficient. Negatives: - It was received damaged (dented lower drawer), not by the delivery people but, the Styrofoam used to protect it in transport. I waited 3 months for this refrigerator to be in stock. I wonder how long it will take to get the freezer drawer replaced? - No egg tray I gave this appliance a five star rating because it's that good!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I am very happy with this refrigerator. I’ve had it 6 months and so far everything is fine. It’s very pretty and the french door refrigerator section gives me more room than my old side by side. However, the freezer section seems small so if you have a lot to freeze, look elsewhere. I knew this when I bought it. Also, there is a gap from the shelves to the back wall, just like other reviews have stated. I have not found this to be a problem since I don’t have tiny containers that could possibly fall off the back. Overall, I love this refrigerator.

Once you finish pressing the dispensing button, just wait that extra second for the last drop to fall into the cup. Love that it is counter depth. No more lost groceries stuck in the back corner. Great value for the price from a reliable brand.

This is a counter depth. Therefore, we gained some width, but lost some depth. Otherwise, seems to be working fine. Thought premium price for smaller size was not consumer friendly. Retailer was very good.

Overall Great Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Only had this fridge a few weeks, but so far, I love it. Very well made and looks great. The only thing I wish was that it had the water and ice maker on the outside of the door instead of inside. Unfortunately, I was unable to get a model with this feature since I needed specific dimensions in my kitchen.

Nice Refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

This came with the new townhome I purchased and it's a nice looking refrigerator. Fingerprints don't show so I'm happy with that. There are a couple of things I don't like, the icemaker and water dispenser. The water dispenser is inside the refrigerator so whenever you want water you have to open the door, also it drips once in awhile which I don't like. The icemaker is in the freezer which takes up too much room in the freezer. If you want ice you have to open the freezer. My previous refrigerator was also a Maytag but the icemaker was in the refrigerator section and the water dispenser was in the door along with an ice dispenser. You didn't have to open the doors to get ice and water.

Perfect fit for a compact kitchen

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Going from a very large side-by-side to a counter-depth french door refrigerator had me concerned that I would not be able to store enough refrigerated items for a family of four. Fortunately, this refrigerator was able to swallow all of our food items without issue. Adjusting to not having water and ice in the door was not a big deal. Our kitchen feels a bit bigger now that that our refrigerator is smaller.

Love my Maytag counter depth refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

My wife and I purchased our Maytag 36 inch wide counter depth French door refrigerator a year ago and love this refrigerator. We wanted a french door counter depth refrigerator but did not want the water/ice dispenser on the door which takes away from the style of the refrigerator. This Maytag worked out perfect. It makes plenty of ice and having the water dispense inside works much better. The temperature and humidity control is accurate and even. The really nice thing about Maytag is that the stainless steel is resistant to fingerprints and rarely needs cleaning (unlike my previous standard stainless steel refrigerator which needed constant cleaning). I highly recommend this Maytag refrigerator.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Have this refrigerator about a month...so much friendlier than my old side by side! Much more room and so much easier to organize. The handles are great because they are stainless and do not get dirty like the vinyl/plastic I had. The stainless stays clean! No fingerprints! Does not look or feel cheap like some other brands I looked at. Did I mention it is beautiful? Updated the look of my kitchen too. So much for a refrigerator to do.

Bad door seals

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

After 3 years one of the door seals split at the non-hinge vertical side down the entire length and the magnet strip fell out. Now I have to replace the seals. I am willing to assume that particular seal was simply faulty, because Maytag usually has such a good reputation.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I have been living with a side by side for 20 years. Decided it was time for a new fridge. Not having as much room in my kitchen as I would have liked, I very much wanted to go with the counter depth. Looked at so many and have been thrilled at the choice to go with this Maytag. Plenty of room in the fridge, love the water in the inside! Wish the freezer was a bit bigger, but it is big enough for two of us. This is the only reason I gave 4 stars instead of 5 on the design and capacity. When they say no fingerprints- they mean NO FINGERPRINTS!! Runs incredibly quiet and keeps food really cold. Told my husband if we ever move, its coming with us!

Nice Fridge--A little small...

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I bought this fridge as part of the Maytag suite for a kitchen remodel. Overall I like the fridge, but there are some issues. The doors don't have any dampening on them when they are opened. So they tend to bounce against the hinges which concerns me. Also the left door if opened by itself doesn't want to fully close, so you have to pay attention of the door will stay slightly ajar. The big deli shelf is a great idea, but you have to open both doors wide and pull out the shelf to access it. This is a bit odd, since you should be able to access half the deli drawer from either of the doors (without fully opening both of them). Likewise the veg/fruit drawers work best if the both doors are open. Granted this is a counter-depth fridge, and I expect it to be a bit small compared to a conventional fridge, but I was a bit surprised by how much less capacity it actually has. Tall wine bottles are challenging as are any tall products. Luckily you can adjust the shelves easily. Love the ice maker and the internal water dispenser. But I think the water dispenser would make more sense on the right side rather than the left where it is a bit difficult to use for right-handed people.

Great fit and look for counter depth refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Replace 5 year old LG that was not repairable. New Maytag offer the perfect size for counters and availabile space. Wanted to do away with water and ice on outside to have less mess and a cleaner look. So having the ice maker where it belongs ( in freezer) and cold water just inside the door was what we wanted. Even though the Maytag is smaller in size, we feel with out the ice maker in the door and design of shelves, we really have not lost space. Wish the freezer did not have wire baskets. Crisper drawers could be improved. Overall super happy with our purchase!

I just love this refrigerator! It keeps everything cold. I also love the fact that is has drawers that keep vegetables and fruit from forming moister on them. There is also a sort of "flap" on the door that tells you if there is too much moister forming on your food so you can adjust the temperature to stop it. Best one I have ever owned.

Just what I wanted!

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We bought this refrigerator a month ago. I love the counter-depth. It makes my smaller size kitchen seem more spacious. The configuration of the shelves allows me easy access to everything and unlike my previous refrigerator, it is cold! I marked it down one star because I have to check to make sure both doors are closing completely. A couple times the flap between the doors has been in the wrong position preventing the doors from closing tightly.

Great Starter Fridge for all your Daily Needs

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

My boyfriend and I just bought and moved into a brand new house and did a lot of research and comparison between multiple fridges before finally settling on this one. We were limited on our options due to the fact it had to be counter depth but we are so happy with this Maytag one. This fridge will provide all the functionality and needs for every day use, with the double drawers for vegetables and fruits as well as multiple layers that can be customized different heights. We love the fact this fridge is Energy Star certified but it is also fingerprint resistant! Although we love this fridge but we do find it on the smaller side which is the reason why it is not getting 5 out of 5 but it is a fridge that I will highly recommend to anyone.

So far so good

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We purchased this fridge about a month ago. So far it’s great. Sometimes we have a little issue with condensation but overall we are very happy with it. We are having the water hooked up next week so I haven’t been able to use the ice maker or water dispenser yet. The fridge seems plenty spacious for a counter depth and we are a family of 5. We don’t eat meat so I didn’t think the freezer being smaller was going to be an issue but ice cream and veggies fill it up much faster than I anticipated. But it is a counter depth so I guess that’s to be expected. I wish their was a better way to store frozen pizza like a slot on the door I had seen on some other models. Overall we are happy with our purchase.

Just the right size!!

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I bought this counter depth refrigerator to replace a huge monster refrigerator that overpowered my small kitchen. This is the perfect size and complements my other appliances. The only thing I don't like about it is the water dispenser inside the fridge. It seems wasteful to hold the door open letting all the cold air out so you can fill up a glass or pitcher with water. I usually just don't use it. The icemaker however has kept up with all the ice we need in this HOT Texas weather.

Looks Amazing

Just bought this fridge a couple of weeks ago, and we love the way it looks. We worried about losing space with the counter depth, but the layout of the refrigerator actually makes us think we have more space when compared to our old, full depth side by side. The freezer does seem a tad smaller, though. Only real complaint is that sometimes the doors don’t like to close all the way. You have to give the left one a little push at the very end of its swing to make sure the little flat piece flips out. Otherwise, we couldn’t be happier. Love the clean look that comes from having the water dispenser on the inside.

We took delivery of this counter-depth Maytag refrigerator about three weeks ago and have been very happy. I had a non-counter-depth fridge with a similar layout and have found this one to be only slightly shallower (front-to-back) but a good 2.5 inches wider, which makes it look nicer. However, it does not come with the option to remove both to free up more storage space. 2. Both french doors have each 2 open holes at the bottom. They should be properly sealed, even with plastic covers, at the factory. 3. The right french door was tilted 3 mm sideway out at the top when assembled (I suppose).

Our unit has been in our home for over a month and our whole family couldn’t be happier. No more food freezing if it is in the back- temp. Holds steady throughout unit. The doors hold a huge amount, freeing up the shelves for more storage. The outside wipes down like a dream and looks very sophisticated in outlet kitchen.

Great product for our rental properties

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

We wanted nice appliances in our rentals, so we chose this refrigerator on recommendation of our appliance salesman. The only issue I have with it is the flap between the upper doors. On rare occasions they don't close completely, but that is just something to get used to. I have not used a french door fridge before.

Almost perfect

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Have had my refrigerator for several months now and am totally happy with it. The only teensy criticism would be the deli drawer: Because it is a single drawer that runs full width, it requires opening both doors of the fridge to get anything out or put anything away. A minor inconvenience and energy waste.

Great fridge

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

Bought this about 2 months ago. No problems so far. Works great. I needed counter depth and it fits in well into the space. Obviously it does not have a huge amount of space, especially the freezer. But that was to be expected. Kept the old fridge, put it in the basement for excess and bulk items that we don't need to access on a daily basis. Like the internal filtered water dispenser.

Nice Fridge

This is a nice fridge. It is counter depth, french doors, freezer on the bottom. All of those features are great other than that they add to the cost. I could have gotten the same fridge, large capacity not counter depth for about $600 less and that kind of bugs me but I'm happy with my choice. I'm also glad it is American made. It was easy to set up, works as it should, and I love the configuration.

So far, so good! A few complaints, though...

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars

I've had it for about 6 weeks now and love the set-up so far!PROS-Easy access to everything, no items getting pushed to the back or out of sight.-Seems durable and put together well-Quiet-Love the water dispenser and ice maker-Freezer is pretty big! At first glance I thought it would be a bit tight, but you can stack things pretty tall and it isn't an issue like I thought it might be-Lightweight pieces (drawers, mostly). At first this was a turn-off (seemed cheap), but it's growing on me.But...CONS-Makes me nervous putting so much in the doors just because of sheer weight, but hopefully this won't end up being an issue.-I wish the bottom pull-out drawer was also split like the veggie and fruit drawers, just so you didn't have to open both fridge doors to get into it.-The "divider" on that bottom drawer doesn't stay put either, which is a bit annoying-SCRATCHES EASY!!! I took all the magnets off the front because they are scratching it up! This is silly! I would think this would be more durable. Am I the only one that still uses magnets these days?! I'm hoping these will come out with the right product.. TBD what that product will be!Let me know if you have any tips for me! Thanks! :)

This is a winning refrigerator

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

We love this fridge! The interior water-tap always gives cold water and the interior ice bin is always full. The fresh food is spacious and no bending or kneeling to find what you want. The only sound it makes is filling the ice-cube maker. When we moved here four years ago, we purchased a one-year old house with a side-by-side. What a sad fridge that was. We always thought of the Maytag French-door we left at our previous house; that was a champ. We talked of getting another French-door to replace the sad one, but since it worked adequately we kept it. When the sad fridge started losing it, we replaced it with the Maytag almost identical to the one in our old house. One foible of the French door is that closing the left-hand side to strongly will push open the right-hand door. Once you see this, it's not a problem and the door alarm is a good reminder.

Looks like a built-in at a great price

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars

I hesitated to purchase this fridge because there weren't any reviews at the time. But this fridge looked sleek, was counter-depth, and had the right features and price. It does have an in-fridge filtered water dispenser that is on the left side midway up (not shown in photo). The ice maker produces half-moon shaped ice that is about 2/3 smaller than traditional half-moon ice, and I actually like it way better because it doesn't block drinking in glasses. The fridge itself is almost silent, and it looks like a million bucks--really looks commercial. Functionally speaking, they could've designed the water to dispense on the right, and it would've been better because of the way that the doors close. I had problems upon hookup with the water dispenser dripping non-stop, but I just had to flush waaaay more water through it and reinstall it 3 times, and the problem stopped. Had condensation building up between the doors & dripping onto the freezer at first, and then I noticed a sticker that said to adjust the humidity sensor if there's condensation. Problem solved! Now, we have a small freezer in the garage. Without it, we'd be crying that there isn't enough freezer space. Fridge space is ample for the shelves, but the doors don't offer a ton of sauce/bottle space. We're 1 month in, and the fridge is a 5-star for sure. Ask me how I feel at 5 years. ;)

Does what a fridge should do but..

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

This refrigerator is exactly what it states in the description however you lose a lot of space due to the way the door baskets are and the shelves. You have to be careful because the baskets towards the bottom of the door butt up against the fruit/ vegetable baskets. The fruit/ vegetable baskets tend to get loose and shifts out a tiny bit and thus when you go to shut the door it can cause a small gap that isn't alerted and decrease coldness. The top shelf is limited especially near the filter, rendering that space unusable unless you remove that shelf and then it would still lose workable space. The shelves do not extend fully towards the back of the fridge, thus limiting a lot of items that can nest towards the back without falling down.

One of the doors had a defect, a replacement was ordered and the defect was even worse. Then, I was told it could take up to 12 months to get a new one. It is cosmetic, but when you buy something new, it should look new too. Plus, I feel that the freezer drawer is flimsy.

Average fridge makes noise even new

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I bought this 3 months ago. It works well but it is definitely not the quality I would have expected out of Maytag. The shelves are plasticky. The there is a space at the back so things fall behind. If you put small things in the back of the shelf it makes a groaning noise sometimes at night when it's filling up the water or filling up the ice cube trays or just doing nothing and just turning on to cool down the fridge. I've kind of gotten used to it but for a brand new fridge to have noises it's not good. I just didn't want to deal with the return process we'll see how long it lasts. I hope it lasts forever but not sure

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Bought this a few years ago, had to get used to the smaller depth, but wanted this typed for a smaller kitchen. However, it is now freezing everything that is near the back of the fridge on the top shelf. Not sure why, have adjusted the temperature a number of times and can't seem to correct this problem., and have moved items around to keep from the back with no success. Wondering if the thermostat is going already. The fridge is only going on three years old so I would not expect problems already.

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I purchased yhis refrigerstor because it fit the smaller space I had. It has done an excellent job of keeping things cold. The lighting inside is really good and it has plenty of room for vegetables and fruits. The shelves are adjustable and I seem to find a space for everything. The freezer is adequate but the ice maker takes up a lot of room and is somewhat wasted space.

Love the counter depth

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Pluses: The size of this counter depth fridge is great. The look is good. Minuses: Shelves do not go all the way to the back so you cannot put anything very small back there and larger items don’t sit flat Shelves do not have a lip so spills are not contained on one shelf Stainless front is very thin- easily dented. Water on inside wall of fridge is worthless.

Tall Tillie · Jan 22, 2020

Not great given the Cost

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

Bought the whole set of Maytag appliances Like the look of the counter depth fridge but the interior is disappointing so much wasted space for under the shelves on the door and in the back of the interior shelves that don’t reach to the back of the unit. small items can fall though. Had to add a lazy Susanne inside to hold the small stuff. Also the bins inside the freezer are open and things fall though that as well. poor design all around. I don’t know who looks at this before it goes into production??

Robbie65 · Oct 17, 2019

Small But seems fine.

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

I bought this 2 weeks ago to replace a 22 year old Kitchen-aid Refrigerator which never worked correctly. I was shocked the inside of the Maytag was exactly the same as the old Refrigerator (there was no display model when I bought this; but it was the only one that fit in the cut-out space). It is small in the freezer and Refrigerator. But of 2 + weeks seems to be working well, and does fit nicely into a 36" wide 24" deep space, so this is truly counter-depth. So if you have a small space like me; this will fit! I did not like the price; these never go on sale, was watching the price for over a year.

Meh...

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

(This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I decided to go with Maytag appliances as they seemed to be better made than other similar priced brands. It’s noisy, doesn’t keep everything at an even temperature and the shelving doesn’t have lips so your items either slip off over are crammed in the back kit allowing air space. Look wise it was better than most of the other counter depth similar priced refrigerators and I like that it is smudge proof. The stainless steel is very thin and is warped in a few places but you can’t see them with the naked eye.

Great with exception of Crisper drawer shelf rails

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars

It was delivered a month ago and all is great with the exception of the crisper drawers/shelf. When opening the two drawers the shelf becomes dislodged. I notice the cheap plastic molding in the liner that holds the shelf in place has started to dent and no longer holds the shelf firmly so any time you open the drawers the shelf dislodges. (This review was collected as part of a promotion.) I bought this fridge a month ago. A week after using it, the temperature randomly dropped, everything in my fridge and freezer was ruined, since I was away for a couple of days. Was told to unplug and plug back in again. It did start working again, Maytag had no explanation on this, nor would they send anyone to look at it, since it was now working, and they don’t send repair people to check ‘working’ appliances. Also, for a large fridge, space in fridge and freezer is not great.
