Room room and more room

Like everything I buy, I do my research. LG has a reputation for great electronics. I love how much room this fridge has. We are three adults sharing this refrigerator/freezer. We no longer have problems with room. The door icemaker is not intrusive so it doesn’t take up much room. The freezer is huge. All in all I’m very glad We bought this refrigerator/freezer. Consumer Reports comes through again. Another great LG product in the house.

We bought this Memorial Day weekend and are very happy with the refrigerator! It is very spacious and allows you to have a very organized refrigerator. The slimline water / ice dispenser eliminates reduced space on your shelves and the additional drawer in the freezer allows you to keep frequently eaten items readily available.

Decent refrigerator so far (2 weeks)

I purchased the refrigerator (LRFS28XBS) a couple of weeks ago. Decent basic frig. Keeping everything cold. Fairly quiet. Petty annoyances - right crisper requires both frig doors to be opened, left crisper you can open with just one frig door open. The cubed ice dispenser has already clogged. There is periodic light frost covering the shelves in the freezer section. The door with the ice mechanism is heavy. If you keep glass jars on that side and release the door it slams and makes a racket. If you keep butter etc on that door, it is fine.

I have had this for about a month. It is beautiful. Lots of room. Love the display on the door. My problems are it makes a slight grounding noise periodically and I have tried many times to connect it to my Wi-Fi and it says not able to join. Don’t know what to do.

I’m enjoying my new refrigerator/freezer. There is plenty of room for storage in the refrigerator as well as in the freezer. However, I would have liked the ice and water dispensers to be able to dispense even when the right side refrigerator door is open. Also, the opening for the dispenser needs to be about 2-3 inches taller to accommodate the drink bottles we use frequently. The finish is indeed fingerprint proof which is a great feature.

We purchased our new LG refrigerator a month ago and no problems whatsoever. We love the Fingerprint Proof - Front door surfaces pristine even with 3 dogs. Love the storage space, the interior illumination, the quiet operation and overall style. The ice maker works perfectly and we love the cubes. The Wi-Fi connected effortlessly and the app is user friendly and helpful. The water/ice port is large and easily accommodates our largest containers. We would recommend the LG to anyone in the market for a new refrigerator.

happy with the fridge other than 2 features missing from my previous lg fridge. Wish it had the flip out door rack in the freezer and there needs to be a better system or tray to catch ice and water from the door dispenser...crushed ice and any overflow have nowhere to be held and just run down the door and onto the floor. My old fridge had a tray that slid in and out. The freezer rack was exceptionally handy for ice packs and it looks to be built to be able to accommodate this rack...even tried to see if my old rack would fit but no luck.

Well built stylish appliance. Water and ice through the door is a nice feature and it works without dripping. Two small issues, one the doors close very firmly and causes the unit to slip backwards the other is that both doors have to be opened to access the cold cut/eggs draw.

I bought this 9/10/24. It is beautiful but the ice situation is not good for us. It is a very small container. So we upgraded to the dual ice maker and craft ice with the middle drawer that can be used as a fridge or freezer! We received the new fridge and we absolutely LOVE IT! The ice box is still the same size but the craft ice comes out in balls a they last super long! We are extremely happy with the upgraded refrigerator that also has a door in door!

Overall liking the fridge so far. Considerations for consumers and opportunities for improvement for LG include: 1. Too much temperature variation throughout cavernous refrigerator section, confirmed using thermometers. Needs better distribution of cold air throughout 2. Cold air escapes fast - need to get in and get out. Discovered the need to set both refrigerator and freezer sections down as low they will go to maintain temperatures. 3. One of the refrigerator doors could use a more thoughtful storage compartment/space for small items. Prior fridge had a "junk drawer" in a door higher shelf that was perfect. 4. Ice compartment on the small size considering the overall size of this fridge. Also an annoying thing we have discovered is the right size of the ice storage compartment must get a little warmer, and the ice there tends melt a little then clump together and won't drop when distributing ice cubes from the external door. Requires going into the ice compartment door every few days if we think about it and break up the ice, which commonly causes us to scrape our hand knuckles on the tight space in the process.

I purchased this refrigerator on August 12, 2024. The refrigerator is spacious, maintains temperature and has a lot of nice features. Three minor things, 1. The chilled water dispenser is only good for about one cup before the water is Luke warm. 2. Having one paddle for water/ice takes a little getting used too, not as convenient as having one for water and one for ice. 3. The doors are to loose when they swing open, I open the right side door next to a wall, if it’s not held while opening it will eventually cause damage to the wall. Overall I would strongly recommend

Door Open Alarm overrides the many fine features.

This model--LRFS28XBS--was delivered in December. I am delighted with most features, except the screeching alarm open alarm. I have worked in the music business for 60 years, and my ears are sensitive to this kind of intrusive noise. I also am a test cook and spend time cleaning out and rearranging my fridge, all the while with that annoying alarm screeching in my ears. I find it highly distressing and intrusive. Surely there is some way to turn it off. The thought that I paid to be tormented with this unwelcome racket adds to the annoyance. A totally useless and unwanted feature. I would welcome any guidance for turning this alarm off.

Great fridge!

I love my new refrigerator, however, it was a lot of extra trouble getting it up and running and cost us extra dollars. Once it was set up, the store gave us a generous credit for our troubles, which was nice. The LG fridge is everything I wanted, the only problem being that the upper door does not shut automatically, we have to make sure we push it closed.

Icemaker makes very small cubes

Actually I'd give it a 5 star except for one thing. On rare occasion the ice machine clods up if you don't use it often. Otherwise I love the fridge. I like how you can rearrange the shelves for your needs whenever you want. I also like the bottom freezer because I can organize it better than a side by side; and I really like the fact that I can empty the ice-maker and use the one compartment in the freezer for extra ice if I want too.

I am a big fan of LG everything i own is Lg. This particular refrigerator not quite as happy with it as I have been other LG products. I think there has to be a better way to open bottom little draw in refrigerator without having to open both French doors that is awkward. The freezer need another pull out drawer not deep and take away the big bottom tubs

Decent fridge

Fridge is working good so far, ice maker is not necessarily at super freezing temp since it's technically inside the door fridge. So it melts quickly when dispense in the water. I feel like the right door doesn't shut as tight even with the adjusted pegs. The temperature stays between 37-40 degrees even if you set it to the lowest 33 degree for the fridge. Freezer works pretty good at 0 degree already. Overall, not a bad fridge as of this writing.

Tall items don't fit

Having bought this refrigerator several weeks ago, it has exceeded my expectations. The door ice maker also has a unique feature called "Smart Ice Plus" that can be enabled through the LG ThinQ app. When enabled, it increases ice production. Having a family 6, this comes in very handy. Overall, this LG purchase has been a very positive experience.

Let me start by saying what a beautiful appliance this is, the ice and water functions on the door are seamlessly integrated. It keeps my food cold and is very roomy. I do wish there was a butter compartment on the door, I miss the one my old fridge had. Also if you need a bunch of ice, this is not your refrigerator. Definitely get the one with dual ice makers. The doors have to be able to open totally to have full use of the deli drawer so if that's a problem measure carefully. Overall I am very happy with my purchase, I did tons of research and for me this was the best bang for my buck.

Great Product!

I love this product. My old refrigerator/freezer was over 30 years old. I can't believe all of the new features this product has over my old one. I found the bottom freezer to be more than enough space for all of our frozen products. I like that the ice maker makes a smaller ice cube than my older unit. The shelves in the refrigerator are set just at the right height for the different size products we buy, and they are able to be moved around to different heights if necessary. There is plenty of space on the shelves of each of the doors. I like the feature of being able to see at what temperature the refrigerator and freezer are set at. I also like that if the door is not completely shut you receive a musical tone that gets your attention. This product takes up about the same amount of floor space as my old unit but the refrigerator and freezer has more inside space for my grocery needs. This is a great product!

I like this refrigerator. The only two issues I have with this refrigerator are: 1. The water could be a little colder coming out of the door dispenser 2. When filling up glasses for water without any ice, that you wouldn't have to wait very long for the water to get cold before filling another glass with water. Some people don't add ice to their water. I like everything else about this refrigerator!

I am very happy with this refrigerator. There is ample room and is easy to organize. I didn't give it a 5 star rating because I had an issue with the ice maker not making ice after a week. The service department responded quickly and fixed the problem it has been working great since. So other than that one issue it is 5 Star.

Although LG's Inverter Linear units appear to be a much quieter appliance in comparison to LG's conventional compressor, this is a sufficient replacement. Unfortunately, the "in the door" ice maker does not fall into the; sufficient category. While conserving space, compromises must be made. In general, like all of my LG appliances, my complaints are minimal.

We are the exception in that we do not use the ice makers in our refrigerators as we have an older house and it is not convenient to connect water to the refrigerator.

We bought this a month ago after old refrigerator died. Loving the amount of room in both the refrigerator and the freezer sections and the versatility you get with the shelf adjustment options. French doors are also nice and there is a lot of storage there as well, but they are louder when they close, which takes some getting used to. Will say getting it hooked up to Wi-Fi with the app was frustrating and I gave up after a couple of hours - just not worth the aggravation since it's not really necessary for us to have a "smart refrigerator". Satisfied with our purchase and would buy it again.

Great features / Undrinkable water

I purchased the refrigerator on July 4th and am very please with the size and features of it. However the one thing that I am completely dissatisfied with is the water. I installed the water filter that came with the refrigerator and the water is undrinkable. I've been flushing it for about a month and still taste and smells nasty. I plan on buying a new filter to see if that helps.

Have had the fridge about a month now. The interior setup is very usable. I like how the icemaker is installed on the inside of the door because it gives you more shelf room for storage. It's also easy to dump ice in the storage bin in the freezer compartment. The filter is also located conveniently for replacement. Overall I am happy with the purchase.

The fridge has been great and really increases the space we have now. The ice maker is a bit small in terms of how much ice it can store at a time but if has not been an issue yet. The fridge also looks very nice but the metal covering the front scratches pretty easily and tends to show dirt and messy hands pretty easily. We already had the door scratched due to fridge magnets and have not figured out a good way to repair it yet (but still hoping to find a solution). Overall I really like the fridge and would recommend getting one with a few caveats.

Like the ThinQ self diagnostic feature. Checked it yesterday and was informed of ice preventing the making of cubes. I don't use much ice and what was in the container had lumped together enough to stop it from making ice. Just emptied the container and was OK to go. This will probably be a regular routine for me. I just need to use ice on a regular basis. (More afternoon drinks?)

I'm comparing this model to the previous one I've owned (LFX31925ST). My previous model's compressor went out and the price to replace was almost as much as a new one so we had to upgrade - very disappointed in that given our previous model still looks in showroom condition. I'm disappointed to share that after comparing both models, LG has sacrificed functionality as a cost cutting measure. Being in the product development space for almost 15 years, function should never be sacrificed to achieve a set profit margin. There are other areas to leverage your scale to decrease material costs without the consumer being inconvenienced. Pros: -Very aesthetically pleasing. Looks great in the kitchen. Materials are better at resisting fingerprints. -Overall internal space very comparable to my previous 30.7 model -Continues to be priced well for the function you receive compared to the other models Cons: (comparing to my 10 year old LFX31925ST) -Noise a few decibels greater than previous model (enough to hear the difference in a quiet room - wont notice if tv's on or people talking. -Previous model had LED's on side walls of fridge which gave a grander presence and lighted up fridge better -Shelves have decreased in quality and function. Previous model had nice stainless steal accents on the front of the shelves and this model has basic white plastic. Previous top shelf has a feature to push back half the shelf (hide below )to allow for taller objects on second shelf. This model does not have it. You have the adjust/remove the whole shelf if you want to store taller bottles on the middle shelf. -Previous model had a closed cover top door shelf, this one is open requiring you to purchase additional storage bins for smaller items such as ketchup packets, sauces, or butter. -Previous model had door shelf separators that allowed for you to have larger bottles in the back and small water bottles in the front. This helped keep the refrigerator door objects from falling over and allowed for more bottled water storage. -Previous model's water dispenser was much quieter. This one is very loud when filling ice or dispensing water. -Previous model had a small storage slot on the inside of the freezer door that allowed for you to store small items such as ice cream, popsicles, etc. New model does not have that - not a huge loss, but a loss in functionality non-the-less. -Previous model had 3 drawers in the freezer - this one only has 2. Again, not a huge issue, but the previous model did allow for a bit more customization and functionality that was eliminated. -Previous model had 3 drawers in the refrigerator allowing for more customization, this one only has 2. Drawers feel a bit sloppy when using. Seems like there is a bit more play in the drawers than before. To summarize - A decent at best refrigerator that will support your daily needs for a single individual or a family. Plenty of storage for your needs, however quality has decreased over the years. Will look great in your kitchen, but only time will tell if the quality of the Linear Compressor will be sufficient to last you many years to come.

I inherited this refrigerator when I bought this house. The previous owners did not leave an owners operating manual. It's ok. It cools an freezes properly. I like the dispenser in the door; however it has a bad design flaw. The place where you put a cup/glass to get water is convex; therefore the cup/glass only kinda balances on the curve. It should have been a concave curve to accomodate the cup/glass.

Freezer fan not operating in less than 18 months

I purchased this refigerator not even 18 months ago. While I like the fridge itself, I'm getting an error message that the freezer fan isn't operating properly. I've done the basic trouble shooting of unplugging it for a few minutes to reboot and reset the error. The error comes back. I also tried thawing the freezer and fridge for 3 days in the event that ice buildup was causing the issue. That didn't work either. So my best guess is the fan motor is no longer working, which is ridiculous for a fridge that isn't even 18 months old. Very disappointing. Other than that, it was exactly what I needed as someone who lives alone. Not too fancy or complicated.

We bought this French Door 28 cu. in. Refrigerator as a replacement for an older 27 cu. in. premium brand dual door refrigerator. The LG has satisfactory to good interior food storage space; however, not too please with the small ice maker capacity nor the longer delay of the door ice/water touch-button functionality. The overall discounted price-point was ok, but given it's short-commings, I would be disappointed had I paid more for it.

I have to say that I do like this fridge, but we only purchased it because the LG side-by-side that we purchased less than 5 years ago died. (Model LSXS26366S). Needless to say we aren't too happy. This is your last shot LG. We had to have the ice maker replaced in the side-by-side less than a year after we purchased it. So far this fridge is working fine. Only time will tell. We feel a refrigerator should last longer than 4 years. Don't you???

VERY CHEAP PRODUCT WITH A MAJOR DESIGN FLAW

One STAR due to deign flaw. I wanted to replace the LG refrigerator that I bought 10 years ago which was a very high quality unit. I sought out the one that closely matched the appearance of that last model. Got it installed, and I discover this is a very cheap product. The worst part is the design flaw where the right side door requires extra force to get it to close. I'd say 3 to 5 lbs although I do not have a way to measure this. I am returning this refrigerator. I'm shocked LG would think anyone would be happy with this design. Were it not of ratios design, I'd have lived with the overall cheapness but this "flaw" kills the purchase for me. See the video. (WELL SO FAR I SEE NOW WAY TO ADD THE VIDEO UNLES IS WILL HAFE HTAT OPTION AFTER I HIT SUBMIT) The question is will I get another LG to go to a different brand. I now question LG given the low quality I see on this unit.

Wish the shelves were more interchangeable

Very disappointed with the inability to accommodate taller items, like a box of wine. The adjustable shelf features are nil.  It’s a nice looking refrigerator but it’s not very practical. I am considering returning it. It would be nice if shelves didn’t have plastic ledge on one side as the means of holding up the shelf. If each shelf had metal hooks that go into the back, I would be able to move shelves from the left over to the right side. But that’s not an option when shelves are designed this way. Very very disappointed. I think the latch to open the ice maker seems like it would break easily, since it’s plastic. I do like how easy it is to use the water on the door. The spout is easier to see than a fridge I previously had. So I can fill a water bottle easily, without the need for a funnel.

Do NOT fall for the craft ice

This fridge has been nothing but problems. The craft ice maker broke 2x within the first 2 years. The standard ice maker broke once immediately after the 2 year warranty. Once replaced we then had to lower the water pressure to where it would take forever to get water. Lastly, the right door has never remained closed unless you push hard on it so not ideal when you have children. It has been extremely frustrating to experience all of these problems in the 3 yrs that we have owned it, especially at this price point. I would advise that you thoroughly conduct your research before making a big purchase like this.

Don't buy anything from this website. I had a problem with my order. Called the day of the order- they said they'd call me back- they called back 3 days later- after the fridge was delivered. Be wary- much of what is advertised on the website is false.

Fridge is good, but there is a leak in the ice maker, and lg is making their 2nd trip out to repair it.

Bought this in Jan. 2024 and the freezer fan stopped working before the end of May 2024. Been out of service for 3 weeks now and still don't have a firm date on when it will be back up and running. Worked well and ran quietly until fan went out.

Water taste odd

I replaced an LG refrigerator that was a great product, we had for 18 years. This model had several issues: 1) Doors do not close by itself. Unless manually pushed to close, doors swing open. 2) MAJOR ISSUE: Water dispensed taste like plastic/chemicals. I ensured we used PEX waterline and my plumbing do not have any issues. I believe water that stays in some container in refrigerator picks up something from the materials used is my suspicion. 3) Model also do not dispense ice in freezer. (I didn't know this till refrigerator was delivered)

Did not cool

Did not cool to the set temperature of 37 degrees. Consistantly above 40 degrees. Would not recommend this refrigerator.

No up to expecations

Not what we expected from a brand new fridge that the Appliance store raved about. We were under the impression when we purchased the fridge that there was a ice maker in the freezer. There is not. The ice machine on the door has had issues (which we are having fixed) since the first day. Inside of the fridge is nice and spacious, but the crisper draw feels a little cheap

Bought less then 8 months ago and craft ice maker stopped working twice. Contacted LG for service and they sent me a replacement part for ME to install, no service appointment for repair offered. Curious if this would void warranty. Never again LG

Poor LG quality control. Refrigerator ice maker is not dispensing ice, it appears the ice is slightly melting causing the ice to refreeze and clump-up. Refrigerator has uneven temperatures, varying 6 degrees between shelfs. Doors cannot be adjusted properly LG tech. could not solve issues.

We purchased this refrigerator a month ago and have traveled some so we are just now getting used to it. The right door does n not self close in both the inside and on the door water dispenser are very dim which j is disappointing. It could well but the customer interface features on this model are dissatisfaction.
