Love this refrigerator

After owning a french door bottom mount refrigerator I would never go back. This one is great. Everything is in plain view with only opening one door. Really love all the space as the ice compartment is in the bottom freezer. Sleek design is great.

New Fridge

Purchased about a month ago so far works well. The only thing I really don't like is the fingerprints that show on stainless steel front. I really wanted the color white but nothing was immediately available. Spacious interior and I do like the bottom freezer. I had to reverse the handle to swing open to the left I don't appreciate the holes have no plugs to fit into open screw holes. The plastic plugs that were supposed to cap the holes where handle was moved were plastic and broke when trying to insert, so I had to improvise.

Extremely spacious fridge space

Our fridge we have had for almost 30 years, died right after Christmas. We had always wanted a bottom freezer style. We ended up removing a cabinet above the fridge to make the size we wanted work. We love how bright it is inside and it is so easy to access the things we often need. This unit came with an ice maker, we have never had an ice maker, so we hooked it into our RO water line. It is sooo nice to have ice all the time, the bottom freezer works well as we are not in and out of it that often. Time will tell on the reliability, but we did go ahead and buy a service plan as I know new appliances are reliable as they used to be.

I had to replace my old refrigerator due to leaking water on the floor. Tried unplugging it for a day and it seemed to do better, but then it went right back to freezing water in veggie drawer and even onto the floor. Many people recommended Whirlpool brand to purchase. Whirlpool freezer drawers are smaller than my other freezer drawers, but I’m getting used to it.happy with the rest of the features!

I bought this refrigerator 2 months ago. I had the same size with the freezer on top. There is less room in the bottom freezer than my top freezer. We took out the ice maker to get more room. The freezer baskets are metal wires so some small things fall through. There is also a rattle in the back of the freezer. The wall is loose. The technician said there is nothing that can be done. I do love the inside of the fridge. It’s large and almost everything can be seen in the fridge so nothing gets lost in the back.

Exactly what I wanted. Both the refrigerator and the freezer work well, and it's quiet. The only negative is that the crisper drawers are made of thin plastic and don't slide in or out smoothly.

Functionally, it works great! The freezer door is a big improvement over the previous refrigerator's bottom freezer, which required getting on my hands and knees to see inside. However, the build quality is disappointing, with foam insulation left untrimmed or exposed in several areas. Temperature adjustments are limited—you can only select a number on the dial. Even the old refrigerator, though analog, allowed finer adjustments by moving the dial between numbers.

Four features stand out on this refrigerator: 1. My wife loves the bottom freezer. It has good capacity and maintains a constant temperature. 2. Relative to my last refrigerator, it operates very quietly. Maybe not best in class, but pretty good. 3. The shelves are very easily adjustable. We have them set where they meet out current needs, but can easily move them if we have to refrigerate something extra tall for a few days. 4. The icemaker has worked flawlessly. Always fresh ice available when needed.

I bought this same fridge 3 years ago and died. Not happy. Freon leak cheaper to buy than fix. I love whirlpool so I bought same one again but this time with additional 4 year warranty. Hope it lasts that long. But it will probably die a few weeks after warranty expires. So sad in the new appliances not like the older ones that lasted 20-30 Years.

I bought this as a replacement for a 20 year old dude by side. The new model fits into my cabinet space much better. I love having the freezer on the bottom. It’s a lot easier to see the contents now. I wish the drawers were a little sturdier. They seem very flimsy.

I love this refrigerator and it is quite. The top fridge is roomy and has lots of shelves to store foods and condiments. However, I do not like the baskets in the freezer. My old freezer had shelves and made it more organized. Where as this new freezer have a big and small basket that you just lay everything on top of each other. The exteror is sturdy and well made. I bought a sliver color which is very nice. Overall, I am happy with my new refrigerator.

Has more interior room than our previous 32" Amana. SS now matches other appliances in the kitchen. Seems to be better lit that the old one, but missing a couple of dividers in the freezer space, but we will figure that out. Quiet and nice looking at a reasonable price.

Happy with my new refrigerator

This is my second Whirlpool refrigerator in recent years. My kitchen Whirlpool has been working well and I needed a second refrigerator for our family. It was purchased about 2 months ago and I am happy with it. I like a bottom freezer except this one has two separate bins in the freezer. This limit s the kind of items that I can put into these bins because of size. That’s the only reason for 4 stars. I looks good, works well, keeps everything cold and even temperature and is large enough without taking up too much space.

This refrigerator was delivered a week ago. Works fine, looks good and has a smooth surface. It takes a lot to get used to a bottom freezer--I think I like top better. Has adjustable glass shelves as wire were not available. The top door swings very easily--have to catch it. Overall will serve the purpose.

Simple design, made in the USA

Our Samsung French door went out after 11 years. We wanted a bottom freezer unit that didn’t have all the bells and whistles, and this highly rated, made in the USA refrigerator won out. I added an inline water filter for the ice maker and a filtered water pitcher since this unit doesn’t have a water dispenser. We love the retro look and couldn’t be happier with this purchase.

This is my first Whirlpool product and my first bottom freezer frig. It's solid black and beautiful. But it blows cold air out of the rear fan when it runs, making my kitchen uncomfortably cool. I will likely welcome this in the summer but not now! Never had a frig do this. It's usually warm air that comes out. Google, neighbors, friends and even staff where I bought it says this is not normal. But Whirlpool and the tech they sent disagreed. So I'm stuck with this, I guess. Otherwise, the frig appears to be cooling and freezing properly so far. There's more room in this bottom freezer than my previous ones. It's gorgeous to look at, but wear a sweater if you're ever in my kitchen in the winter!

We love love love this refrigerator ! It’s actually our 2nd one. We had our first one about 5 years when kitchen was renovated. We moved 6 months ago and ordered this for our new house. It’s large enough to meet our needs, but not massive, holds a lot of food, BUT, you can see things easily. The freezer on the bottom is perfect as well. We do not like nor will we buy a French door fridge. This fridge is the best! I just don’t have anything negative to say about this unit!

We purchased our new refrigerator a month ago now and it has been perfect. It gave us the space we wanted and having the bottom freezer, there is no more bending down to see what you have in the back of the refrigerator. We love the built in ice maker too, we use a lot of ice throughout the week so having the automatic ice maker is great for us. The operation of the refrigerator and freezer is very quiet too. Very happy with our purchase.

A simple refrigerator but complete in every way!

We replaced our 27 year old white Maytag (a Whirlpool brand) fridge with the exact same Whirlpool fridge only in stainless steel. This refrigerator has all the assets I could ever want. I don't need a bunch of extras with a fridge, just one door and a spacious, deep interior compartment. The freezer is a it bigger this time around, too! Perfect!

I am happy with the refrigerator in general. The only thing I missed were that the shelfs on the door were not as deep as the ones on an older model of mine that would hold a regular carton of a dozen eggs, and they were kind of broke up into small cubbies broken up by divisions between them. It also does not have a warning sign wired in it for an alert sound if the door is accidentally left open.

I’ve only had this refrigerator for a week, so far I’m loving it … the convience of having things at eye level is great. I’ve always had Whirlpool products and even though everyone says this refrigerator probably won’t last as long as my old one (almost 32 years) and who knows for sure I always went with Whirlpool because of their excellent repair record…I googled it and even consumer reports said it was on the top of the list for best quality and fewer repairs. That was years ago and I know things change… they don’t make anything that lasts that long anymore but I hope all will be good.

I bought this about a month ago. Overall I'm happy with my choice. Refrigerator section is great, very happy. Freezer has some opportunity. The slides for the door are rough and give off a cheap feel. Icemaker design is lacking. The control arm pulls ice out every time the tray is pulled out causing ice to fall in the floor. Lastly finger prints show up and require lots of wiping to keep it looking nice. Overall those are small things and I would buy it again and I recommend it for purchase.

We bought this about a month ago, but just had it installed 2 weeks ago. So far it is better than I had expected. There is so much space in the door than in our other refrigerator even though it was the same size. I love the bottom freezer and the ice maker. Everything worked first time. I didn't want the drink or ice in the door. I like it just the way it is. Plenty of room inside for what we need. I expect it will take some juggling when we have a family dinner to get pre-prepped items in and then the left overs, but I think we'll manage. I love it!

This model same as I had before however, I noticed Whirlpool has removed the divider in bottom freezer basket - good move!! much easier to arrange things. The downside it that refrigerators nowdays don't seem to have a very long shelf life i.e. less than 10 years. Would be nice if manufacturer installed an "alert" button to let us consumers know when compresser is goinig out. Would give more of a chance to either get fixed or buy a new unit and save a lot of food.

I switched after my LG died after just 5 years. I have confidence in the registration but I do wish it felt a little less flimsy, particularly the sliding drawers. There is also not an option for a full length cheese drawer maybe sold as an add-on. The snack drawer is too small to be usable. Ice maker is also a little louder than LG but the ice comes out quickly and is consistent in size

Good looking, keeps foods cold and/or frozen perfectly. Only complaint is the drawers are too small, celery doesn’t even fit. I have to lay in on a shelf, wrapped in foil. Also, like most appliances, they have a very short lifespan compared to 20 years ago. Six years for a refrigerator? Definitely planned obsolescence…at the consumer’s expense.

I like the refrigerator, but I have a hard time cleaning the bottom of the freezer. I pull out the racks how far they go but cannot reach the back. The ice maker, when I take it out some of the ice cubes spill on the bottom but cannot get them off the bottom. I use a grabber to get them.

This fits into the space well and I like the layout and appearance, but I have some concerns. We just ordered the same one we had which was about 10 years old. Seems to me it should have lasted longer. The quality of the new fridge is not quite as good in that the vegetable and fruit drawers do not slide and close easily unlike the previous refrigerator. Also, it makes an odd noise periodically- thought it was the ice maker, so I turned it off and it continued to make the noise. Seems to be working fine though.

Good refrigerator, would have been nice to have a butter compartment which it doesn't. The Ice maker works well. Connecting the water supply was easy (you need to buy your own supply line). The bottom of the refrigerator had a bent piece of metal that I had to bend back because it scratched our wood floor when sliding it. Shelves and door compartment are nice. Wish whirlpool had a little more faith in their products to have a longer warranty.

Tons of room, shelves are adjustable for whatever configuration you need and easy to clean. The freezer is on the bottom so I can see everything in my refrigerator without having to bend down. Ample storage in the door for wine bottles, condiments and lesser used items. We LOVE it!

I'm pleased with this one so far, but wish it had come with an owner's manual. The freezer dividers need to be moved, but even the online videos don't show how to adjust them. Frustration! I wish the meat drawer was full width.

I'm very pleased this model comes in white, as the rest of my appliances are white and I don't want to jump into stainless steel like everyone else has. I have a home from the early 70's and this fits through the doorways and in the spot in the kitchen designed for the refrigerator - so many others on the market now are too big for my house. I'm new to the freezer on the bottom, but I'm quickly coming to love easily finding things in the refrigerator since it's all so easy to reach. It's holding temperature perfectly and runs as quiet as my old one. I'm very happy overall. If I had one very small complaint, the produce drawers pull out with a little difficulty. They feel a bit cheap and don't glide well.

We bought this refrigerator model for it's simplicity. We didn't need a high-tech refrigerator. We just wanted a straight forward, not-connected, fridge. This model is that. I like the fact that the handle to the fridge can be attached on either side of the fridge so you can set up your kitchen more conveniently with the door opening next to the place on the countertop where I cook meals. There is ample space and it's working well.

Two downsides: the top shelf is too tall for me and the crisper drawers are a little stiff. I like that the bottom freezer has several divisions. Fits our needs

This was a great replacement for my Amana Refrigerator that lasted 18 years. Pretty close to the same thing we had, just one minor changes to the organization on the fridge door and we now have an ice-maker.. The freezer is organized a bit differently because of the ice collector bin. Hoping that this one lasts 18 to 20 years also. my only complaint is that the door does not close on its own. Our previous fridge was able to be angled so that the door would close as long as it was on its way but this one we have to push closed every time we open it. The fridge is spacious and easy to load and unload items.

Likes: The layout of the refrigerator is nice and is the lighting. The adjustable shelving make storage easy. We are still getting use to having a freezer on the bottom. Dislikes: It is nosier than our old refrigerator. The other thing is when you open the refrigerator then close it a vacuum is created that makes the door extremely difficult to open right away. It can take 15 seconds or more for the pressure to equalize behind the door. I discovered a trick to bypassing this issue. If you take your index finger and pry the door gasket back just a little bit, it allow the air pressure to equalize and the door is easy to open. I plan to post a You Tube video about how to do this.

Love everything about this new fridge! Lots of room and I am very happy with the freezer on the bottom (had side by side previously, but no space in fridge for bigger items).

Whirlpool single door top refrigerator bottom free

I like the color and the food capacity in both the refrigerator and the freezer. It is significantly louder than my Samsung that I just replaced with this whirlpool. I think if I would’ve known it was this loud I probably would’ve looked into a different refrigerator. It’s not that it is annoying. It’s going to take some getting used to because my Samsung was very quiet compared to this one. Also, the freezer is on the bottom and a single door refrigerator on the top and the door tends to open the whole way, which is something I have to get used to because I’ve always had a side-by-side

Happy with this so far

So far, so good. I've only had this new model for a week. It is working perfectly. The refrigerator is roomy and all the shelves and door pockets make the food very organized and accessible. The refrigerator and freezer are both keeping good uniform temperature. The stainless finish is very stylish with little smudging noticeable My previous top freezer held a lot more than this bottom freezer, but it works for me because I have a separate small freezer. I waited a long while for it to begin making ice until finding that the "O" on the ice maker stood for "off", not "on". Since both begin with "O", the manual should state that...which it doesn't. Ice make works perfectly once I figured that out. Overall, I'm very happy with this refrigerator. Roomy, stylish, great temperature control, useful adjustable shelves and door pockets.

I'm happy with it so far really like the bottom freezer. Now I do not have to bend over to get in the fridge that is used way more than the freezer. Seems they should have been built this way from the beggining. The drawers pull out of the track to easily when opening though. The catch needs to be improved.

I bought this fridge about a month ago and am pretty happy with it. It has a lot more room than I thought it would. The ice maker keeps the bin full and is quiet ... in fact the whole fridge is quiet. I rarely ever hear it come one. The only thing I am not happy with is the size of the freezer. The top freezer I just replaced had way more room. I'm needing to store items from the old top freezer in my chest freezer cause it doesn't all fit in this new bottom freezer. It's like I traded freezer space for fridge space.

Purchased this model about 2 weeks ago - a little early for a reliability review. Bought it to replace a 37 year old Whirlpool side by side. So far, we have enjoyed the bright LED lighting and the space for food, fruit, etc. The only problem is the size of the single door - when open, it hits the counter. Wish Whirlpool offered a hinge adjustment to alleviate the problem of the door opening too far. And prior reviewers have commented on the flimsy, hard to open veggie/fruit bins. That's true. I think Whirlpool could do better.

We've only had it a week, after reading other reviews, one negative was that the fridge moves when opening and closing the door , we experienced this , but was an easy fix , just raise the front adjusters until the wheels are off the ground . The fridge door is hard to open if you close it and try to reopen right away, and it seems to run a lot , which concerns me , Food seems cold on initially settings of 4, shelves and door holders are all adjustable, our last whirlpool lasted 22 years , hoping this one lasts awhile

The size fits us perfectly. There's so many ways to adjust shelves. Items are easy to locate in both the refrigerator and the freezer. The temperature holds well. It runs quietly. The ice maker provides us with a drawerful on a daily basis. It's located in the freezer which is perfect. We're so glad we replaced a stainless-steel model with white. The handles are perfect. They're typically the only area we wipe clean daily. No fingerprints!

Bought this as a replacement for an older model of the same refrigerator. My only complaint is that the new model didn't have the butter keeper. Other than that, I love the fridge. Makes plenty of ice, shelves can be adjusted to your liking, freezer drawer pulls open easily, it's on rollers so it can be moved out from the wall for cleaning and the door handle can be switched to the side you prefer.

Humidity is an Issue

It has been less than a month. Unfortunately there is no humidity control in the fridge or in the manual for this model. There is nothing noted about humidity management. Some days all the plastic/glass surfaces are cloudy with moisture when I open the door. I did not know it at the time of purchase. There is also a bit of side play when opening the bottom freezer door.

Our only complaint would be that the two fridge sliding drawers are very difficult to close, they often do not close all of the way. Sometimes this get snagged on the "fruit / veggie" tab. Very frustrating as we use these drawers often. Maybe some WD-40 will help....

Holds good temp, pretty quiet

So far, the fridge seems to be working very well, keeping both upper and lower sections at temp. I'm so happy that they kept the adjustable shelves! This seems to be kind of an odd duck, though--the side panels have the somewhat textured metal, but the doors are perfectly smooth. Not that I mind, but it surprised me that they would be different. I'm really not in love with the freezer drawer, however. The manufacturer has made it it very, very difficult to remove or adjust the dividers, (no instructions in the manual, either), and overall, it doesn't hold nearly as much product as my old Kenmore (the dividers don't help!), which was very similar but had the door instead of the drawer. I was also surprised to note that the fridge no longer comes with the butter compartment that fits in the door. That disappointed me, but maybe in the end it doesn't matter much. Last but not least, the gaskets: Whatever material they now make these from is not very flexible. So, there was a bit of a compressed section on the freezer door, such that it didn't seal all the way, and leaked air, so that I got a nice crust of frost right inside the gap. I've since put a 'stick' in the groove of the gasket to make it seal, and am hoping that over time, it will take on that shape and seal itself.

I had an Amana before this and was told this New Whirlpool is exactly the same. My main displeasure with this whirlpool is the icemaker shut off. It does not have the wire to pull up to stop the ice from coming out. Leaving the wire down constantly has ice cubes that fall to the bottom of the freezer. also, it does not have a butter dish as the Amana did and that is inconvenient also

We purchased this refrigerator about a month ago and we are extremely happy with it! It has ample space inside with nice shelves and a nice drawer for cheeses tortilla wraps, butter sticks. The two bottom drawers are wonderful for vegetables and fruit. I love the humidity controlled feature. On the door of the refrigerator the shelf thing is nicely placed Allowing us to have our condiments and other items in place where we like them. There’s a nice area that holds our Britta water filter. The freezer, which is on the bottom stores a lot. It comes out nicely. The bottom of the freezer holds two compartments of freezer items and the top you can pull out and holds a lot. We were looking for a refrigerator with a freezer on the bottom and we are thrilled with this refrigerator. The handle is nice and long. The door is easy to open. This refrigerator is durable. When it is on, I can barely hear the sound. For the price, we feel that it was a great value. I highly recommend it.

Overall, this is a very nice unit. The factory settings are spot on, and no temperature adjustments were needed. The ice maker is excellent! It quickly makes ice. This refrigerator is so quiet! I love that about it. There is only 1 detail that could use some improvement. The drawer slides could be improved. To completely close them, I have to lift up the front of them a little bit to get complete closure.

Not the same Whirlpool as 20 years ago

My old Whirlpool fridge was better than 20 years old, it was a everything you could want! It wasn't broke, but knowing "White" seems to be a special-order color these days, no one keeps stock on hand for same day delivery, and the fear of being 2 to 6 weeks without a fridge, I thought I should replace it before it breaks. There was no question about staying with Whirlpool, they had proved their product to me. I think I may have been wrong. To start, poor craftmanship. Open seems where panels come together exposing insulation on all doors. Front of door reveled dents after moving handle from left to right side. Slide tray in freezer, and vegetable trays in fridge fit loose and do not slide smoothly. Ice maker over fills ice cube bin and the fill control bar drags cubes out of bin into back of freezer when opened. I'm hoping for the best but fear I won't be getting the same service and longevity my old fridge gave me. Not the same quality and craftmanship of my old refrigerator.

Not as good as I had

I replaced my 18 yo LG fridge. I wasn't able to see it on the showroom floor so I didn't realize the freezer is a a drawer instead of a door. The rail system and the lower drawer reduce a lot of space and restrict the size of what will fit in the freezer. If I can replace it I certainly will. The fridge drawers aren't as deep either which restricts what I can put in there too. Also it sounds like the compressor dropping out every time it turns on.

I bought this to replace my 2011, also whirpool, refrigerator. I'm disapointed with the quality. The compressor is noisier than the old one, the manufacturing quality is clearly inferior. It has no extra features. The usable refrigerator space is not what I expected. It's not energy efficient.

Basic fridge, somewhat disappointing

This fridge is OK. I am stuck because of the size that I need. I didn’t have many choices. I was replacing the same exact refrigerator with this newer model. The old one is 10 times nicer. What a downgrade. Drawers are really cheap plastic, it’s missing a drawer that I used to have at the bottom for deli, a large drawer that went the entire size of the fridge. But most of all, I had shelves that would pull out and roll back in. There’s no such thing anymore! Thank God, I saved some shelving from my older model. this fridge seems fine, but no bells and whistles at all! I’m shocked. after having a refrigerator for 15 years, when you get the newer model, you think there’s gonna be upgrades! Not in this case!

Average refrigerator. It functions however the typical Whirlpool quality doesn’t seem up to par with this refrigerator. The quality of the materials used and the fit of the inserts isn’t nice. My old WhirlpoolGold had highly functioning shelves that slide out easily and had safety features to eliminate accidents. This new one doesn’t have any of that and is difficult to maneuve. I do not recommend this Inez.

Not what we expected

We wanted a white refrigerator with a bottom freezer, and this was the only option we had that would fit in the space. We prefer a swing open freezer door to a drawer, and the freezer on this pull out drawer model is much smaller than our previous swing door freezer. Not everything from our previous freezer fit into this model! The fruit and vegetable drawers are also much smaller than we are used to, and we are storing fruits on the bottom shelf of the refrigerator. Other than those concerns, it looks and works fine.

Ice Maker Failure

Had this unit for 6 years before the ice maker failed. Got it fixed with OEM replacement parts. Then two years later it failed again but this time it flooded and froze the door shut. What a mess! Everything else worked great and if it wasn't for the ice maker this would be a fantastic product. Unfortunately, I'll be looking elsewhere for a replacement knowing the trouble it caused.

Refrigerator seems to cool appropriately and controls are easy to adjust. The produce bins are far too small to accommodate a week's worth of fresh produce, but to be honest this seems to be a common issue. The drawers do not slide easily as they are flimsy plastic set on plastic runners. Also no option to order without an icemaker, which we will never use and therefore takes up unnecessary space.

Refrigerator review

We bought this unit to replace another manufacturer model with a failed compressor. We are happy with the new Whirlpool. The storage compartments are very functional and the shelving is flexible and convenient. The drawer slides are less and smooth and could be better designed. Other than that the unit is quiet, after discovering to turn off the ice maker which we don't use.

Good refrigerator for limited space.

I bought this about 2 weeks ago and so far it's just ok. I had limited options for size and color, and this was the highest rated. Fit and finish, is great. Inside the freezer drawer slides just ok. The wire shelves are OK. My biggest issue is I have had to turn the refrigerator setting to max to achieve 34-35 degrees.

Slow

I bought this a year ago come December and you’re just now asking me for a review? I wish the wheels on it were bigger with today’s vinyl flooring. It doesn’t roll very well at all.

We don’t own it long enough to give a good review. But we do know that the slides for the freezer don’t seem to be built very well. Loud and the slides r not smooth when u open the freezer

Seems to run all the time

I’ve had it less than 2 weeks …seems to cool fine and freezer works great. BUT Refrigerator seems to turn off and on a lot. Have kept it at factory #4 settings . Lowered to 3 still runs a lot. May have to call in a warranty issue

Only got it a few weeks… it functions.. it’s overpriced… Not sure if the ice maker works properly yet… It does not seem to know when to stop making ice? It’s louder than our previous unit. Drawers are very cheap plastic.. Drawers feel like they may fall out…too soon to tell

Not our greatest purchase

We bought this refrigerator 6 months ago. Recently the freezer cabinet liner split from front to back on the bottom. Whirlpool said this was cosmetic and the fix was a piece of white tape. Three technicians have said this functional (not cosmetic). Next stop will be NY Consumer Protection Agency. Also, the drawers do not operate smoothly.

Noisy refer

The many positive features of this refrigerator are overshadowed by the fact that it makes weird, annoying noises. I called your support team, the very helpful lady on the phone was unable to identify the type of noise my appliance is making. She set up an appointment with a service repair man. He came out and identified the noise as refrigerant moving through the coils. It makes a very annoying sound similar to when you let the air out of a balloon while pinching the neck opening. While the sound is not overwhelming loud, it happens quite often (at least every 1/2 hour) and lasts 4-5 minutes at a time. I was told nothing can be done as this is the appliance operating noise. All I can say is I am sorry I have this refer and wish I could send it back. It's hard for me to imagine that "someone" declared this to be an acceptable noise to put into a living space. I am confident this can be engineered out. Or perhaps some insulation put around the offending coils. I wonder how long this refer would last (making this noise) in the kitchen of the chairman of the refrigerator division of Whirlpool. Not very long I suspect. He would send it back, But you are happy to let me suffer through it. I rate it poorly because you folks feel this is an acceptable operating noise.

They dont honor warranty

DO NOT BUY ANY WHIRLPOOL PRODUCT THEY DONT STAND BY THEIR WARRANTY, they give you the run around, blow smoke up your orafice, and say things like your model isnt covered, yet the paper work received at purchase says it is covered. Save yourself huge headaches, DONT PURCHASE WHIRLPOOL!

Noisy, noisy, noisy! ALWAYS NOISY!!!

Severe rattle from under the freezer drawer every time it starts. Then the entire unit begins to vibrate. If i press my hand on the top or side of the unit the vibation diminishes, but when I take my hand off the unit the vibration comes back. We can hear it throughout our first floor.

Poor product and service

My last frig identical model lasted 4 years before compressor went. Had to get identical frig because of color and size. This time I got extended warranty. Also gave the low score because my ice maker sill isn't working. Don's appliance who I purchased my new frig from can't get anyone out here to repair it till Feb 6th. Whirlpool used to be a reliable product ,but no more.

I bought this refrigerator because it was the only display model that would fit in the space in my kitchen.The freezer space is small and the meat drawer and vegetable bins do not slide in and out easily at all.They will probably end up cracking or breaking.

My new refrigerator is noisy! When it turns on, a loud buzzing sound can be heard throughout the house. Is there any way to correct this? The door, when opened, swings out so fast, I have to catch it! I am finding it necessary to hold it with one hand to prevent it from slamming into the wall.

Not Recommended

1 month old and I hate it! The doors for not swing closed and there is no alarm to tell you the doors are open. Owners manual is WEAK at best, doesn't tell you how to adjust dividers and is missing dividers. Sounds like a sump pump running when it runs. Very disappointed in this refrigarator. Had to look and buy quickly as ours died and we were leaving for a vacation that had to be postponed. I would NOT recommend this model.

A horrible product.

I hated my Samsung refrigerator until I bought a whirlpool. The whirlpool has a vegetable bin that is so small, I barely fits a week’s worth of veggies. Also the bin does not slide in smoothly and it hits the ‘humidifier’ lever on the drawer. I’m surprised that the lever switch isn’t broken. The freezer space is sacrificed for more refrigerator space. You try to buy American and support our companies but this what we get?

Designed to fail

When we purchased this refrigerator we were told we'd be lucky to get 8 years out of it before it failed. I believe that. One thing we have also learned about this refrigerator is the warranty is pretty much useless. We started to hear a "chattering" noise coming from the refrigerator at about 1 year of ownership. It wasn't ultra-annoying at the time so we thought it might eventually get better. That didn't happen. We called the dealer where we bought this refrigerator and they sent a tech out and he eventually diagnosed the problem as a failing damper module. We also found out the warranty does not cover this part at 1 1/2 years old. This is the last Whirlpool, Amana, Maytag (all the same refrigerator mfr.) we will be purchasing. I fully expect this review will get rejected, but nothing in the review is false, it's just a designed to fail product.

Freezer door hard to open, bad for back

It's ok. we don't care about this style of pullout freezer drawers. but the older style of door style is out of style and no one makes them anymore except when it's on the top. the door can get quite difficult to pull especially for older folks. the reason is, you are pulling open the entire freezer vs the door style where you are opening just things on the door, and you always tend to need to bend over to get anything out of it so both are hard on your back. other than this, everything works as it should.

Not a quality product

I am very disappointed with this refrigerator. It’s a 22 cubic foot model. Compared to my previous model which was a Kenmore Elite it just is not the same. This Whirlpool looks exactly like my Kenmore but the inside is not the same quality. It’s is smaller and the drawers do not have rollers so they are hard to slide in and out. I Have less room on the shelves and more room on the door; not very practical. My biggest complaint is the interior size. How can it be 22 cubic feet when my previous model, which was also 22 cubic feet was bigger. The freezer is also smaller. So, I have a refrigerator that is smaller in the top and the freezer, the fruit and vegetables drawers are smaller and all the drawers are hard to slide. No I am not happy, and I bet you saved some money by making it cheaper. I’m sure it won’t even last 10 years.

Frustated

So far too noisy. Rarely stops running. The door flies back unless I hold it while trying to get items out of refrigerator. It runs almost all the time making noise. Hate to see my electric bill. I need to turn off the ice maker, but the manual doesn’t say how to with the switch marked 0 or a line. What do those symbols mean.No knows . The door has to be held to,prevent it swinging too wide will I reach inside. I should’ve kept my old one over 20, years old.

Gallons of milk
