Best Refrigerator Ever

I love everything about this refrigerator. Being able to put gallon milk jugs and large tubs of butter on the door leaves more room to place food and left overs on the shelves. The refrigerator is so spacious and looks so clean on the inside and beautiful on the outside. I have recommended this refrigerator to my friends and family.

We have this for about a month and so far the only compliant I have is there is no "lunch meat" drawer. We did not notice that at the time of purchase but boy did we notice it afterwards. We bought an after market add on which is working ok. After we installed the fridge in its new home, we realized the doors needed to be swapped. This was not an easy job and took us about 4 hours to complete. Not a fun day to day the say the least.

Large and attractive but has a few shortcomings

We've had our LG LRTLS2403S for about a month now. We like it because there is a lot of storage space and it's easy to keep the exterior clean. However, there are certain features that a buyer might want to consider before purchasing this model. 1) the bottom of the door is very low to the floor - 1.5 inches, If not careful, you can injure your foot when opening the door. In my opinion this is a design flaw and a safety hazard that should be corrected on future models. 2) There is a cold water dispenser "inside" the refrigerator. The fill rate is so slow that it's really not usable in my opinion. It probably causes higher electricity use because the door has to be open so long when in use. We won't be using this feature. 3) When the refrigerator is running there is a noticeable low pitched hum. It's not annoying but is audible. 4) If you get the stainless model, forget using refrigerator magnets. They won't work. 5) The refrigerator could use more storage bins. There are only two at the bottom. This can be solved by purchasing after market bins.

Wanted to buy another one BUT

I have loved mine for 11 years and wanted to buy another one since we are selling the house, BUT, one of the my favorite things about it, is the pantry drawer in the middle of the fridge. I use it every day and it is always full. LG took it away in the new model. Also the very bottom door shelf. It is small but I have it full. It is very useful. I don’t understand why they would take away very useful features. I won’t buy this fridge again because I would hate it without those two parts.

Couldn't be happier!

I bought this about 3 weeks ago to go in our garage. I wanted just a simple refrigerator that would take the temperature changes in our garage. I haven't hooked up the water, but I plugged it up and left it at the recommended setting. I have put a thermometer in freezer and refrigerator sections. After a couple days, it has been right at the recommended temps. I couldn't be happier with it. It matches my other appliances. It is roomy! My garage has ran about 90 degrees since it has been in there, and it is working great! It is consumer reports recommended, and I can see why! If you want a simple refrigerator, this would work well in the house too!

Good Fridge

Purchased this refrigerator at the end of January 2024. It is quite large and had to get used to how much it sticks out from the wall. I like the look of it. Keeping the stainless steel clear of fingerprints is a challenge. Needs a drawer on one of the shelves for deli meats and cheeses. That's my only criticism. The vegetable and fruit drawers are nice and deep and large, so they hold a lot of items.

More room than I expected.

I used to have a side-by-side but opted for a regular freezer top instead. I was very surprised of the interior space and also the improved quality of the water from the water filter. The only drawback is that I keep bumping my head on the (overhead) freezer door whenever I close the Fruits and Vegetable drawers at the bottom drawer of the fridge. It is necessary to step back a half step first and not stand straight up in order to avoid the "bump."

I've had the refrigerator for 2 weeks. I ordered the ice maker separately from LG because it would not be available from the appliance store for more than 6 weeks. The refrigerator came with 4 small dents in the door, so the appliance store repairman will replace the door for us this week. He installed the ice maker and we do have water AND ice, contradictory to other reviews that I've read about this model. I miss having a meat and cheese drawer, but I kept the drawer from my old refrigerator and laid it on a shelf, but then it takes up space on the shelf. The refrigerator section is way big enough, but the freezer on top seems to be smaller than our old freezer part of the same size refrigerator.. I don't like all of the fingerprints on the front of the stainless steel refrigerator.

I bought this refrigerator 1 year ago. For the first 11 months everything was great. Then a noise started, and eventually the circulation fan failed. It took almost a month to get it fixed due to parts back log and time to get a technician out. Now that it has been fixed, everything is great again.

I bought 2 refrigerators and so far I love them both. Didn't realize how much my old frig. wasn't as cold in the freezer section as the new ones are. Buying 2 and putting them side by side (flipping the door on one) and creating a almost commercial style was the way to go!! However the wait on the ice maker almost a month a little inconvenient.

I purchased this LG Refrigerator New on 08/02/23 and received it on 08/10/23. It has been working perfectly. WHAT REALLY surprised me, I set the controls to the 2nd light and let it cool for approx. 2 hours and then checked the Refrigerators temperature and it was going to 36 degrees, I then checked the Freezer temperature, and it was going down to near 0 degrees, the noise level is extremely low. My wife and I are Older Folks and know a thing or two and I feel safe to say, THIS IS A WELL DESIGNED Refrigerator and we Love it. We have ours in the Kitchen.

I’m really liking this refrigerator after using it for a month. My only complaints are that it should come with a built in ice maker and that the freezer should have a light, otherwise it’s perfect. I love the wide door bins that can accommodate gallon milk jugs and large juice bottles. Overall it’s a very nice unit.

Nice features at a good price

Nice size fridge and freezer for the price. Water filter and dispenser on inside of fridge is a nice feature at this price range. LED lighting and basic electronic controls are also nice features. Fridge and freezer work very well and maintain temperatures without issue. The only complaint I have is changing which side the doors open on is a real time consuming pain in the rear. Hinge pins and bracket orientation changes are extensive and pins can be hard to remove from bracket.

Bought about a month ago - was looking for a fridge that didnt have a lot of expensive features added. This is the closest one with a very good rating that fits that description. My only complaint would be for a freezer light - would be a very helpful addition. The stainless steel look does get quite messy, but I dont entertain so it doesnt really bother me too much. Looking forward to this purchase lasting for years to come.

Quiet, Understated Quality

When my refrigerator failed, had to replace quickly. Did online research. Luckily, this was a great choice. Temperature control is very steady. There is lots of room. ONLY things I would change: I don't like the stainless steel front that shows fingerprints easily. I wish it had a meat compartment. And the butter compartment could be a little larger. But other than that, it was just perfect for my needs.

I purchased this for a rental property, and the features and price were very desirable. The problem my tenant had was with the refrigerator shelf supports. The clips that held the shelves in place gave way when the shelves were loaded with food items. LG was contacted and they sent replacement shelves since it was still under warranty.

I used Consumer Reports list of recommended refrigerators. I wanted an ice-in-door, bottom freezer, but the ratings were not good enough and, since ice is important and "slow ice" was a comment, I went back to basics. So happy. The usable space is better than my old side-by-side even though cubic feet were supposedly similar. Though I'd prefer ice-in-door, I've again gained freezer space and have good ice production. The shelves are easy to clean and appear to have better support than my previous refrigerator. Vegetable and fruit drawers, spacious and keep items fresh. Back to basics and I'm the winner. Now, LG, just give me longevity.

Get LHTNS2403S if you plan to use ice maker

This is a very nice fridge: spacious, quiet, and attractive. Bought it over the smaller model because it had a great review over at Consumer Reports. The only issue I have with this refrigerator is that due to a design flaw, you can't use the water dispenser and the ice maker at the same time - it's either/or. If I had known this, I would have bought a LHTNS2403S instead, which accepts an ice maker but frees up the space where the water dispenser would have been.

Replaced an older 33" wide with 20 cubic feet. The extra 3 plus ft in this box makes a big difference. I wish it had a better lighting system inside, however. The single light leaves dark corners on the shelves.

We like it very much because it is functional, has lots of space both in the freezer and in the refrigerator, excellent control and distribution of cold air both in the freezer and in the refrigeration section. Easy to see what is in the shelves, and easy to clean. Extremely quiet. We are very pleased with it.

This very simple, no frills Refrigerator is great for bar or in an office kitchen. It does have an internal water dispenser that is very touchy. Only works about half the time. Then you have to bleed the air out and wait a minute, etc. too much of a hassle so I buy bottled water.

We had our new LG refrigerator delivered a little over a week ago. The delivery guys were fantastic. They had to reverse the doors, level it and bring it in and put it in the place of the old one. It was a perfect fit, and all was fine. And then I put the food in it. Loaded the freezer and filled the fridge. That's when the mystery began. I opened the freezer door and there was this loud snapping sound coming from the hinge of the door. We could not figure it out. I called your helpline and after explaining the situation the representative thought that it was because it was not level. What?? It was level when they brought it in and placed it in its spot. How can it not be level now. Well, let me tell you it took four days, two grown men, a pry bar, and some very creative thinking to get a shim and some wood slabs behind it because there was a counter on one side and a wall on the other. Finally, after I figured out how to get the wheel up on the piece of wood behind it in the right-hand corner with some small, sloped shims, we got it in place, and it still wasn't level. It then took the two grow men to figure out they needed to level the front. They finally got it level and it works!!!!! Never have I ever had to do this with a fridge, and I have had quite a few. Now I love it and hopefully will never have to go through this again. But at least I will know how to fix it.

I bought it a week ago , its soo spacious, I love the stainless steel finish and no handles . Simplicity is best. I had digital touch screen one and it malfunctioned that's why I chose this. The only issue is that there isn't an icemaker or ice tray. WHY do have purchase it separately?

I bought this refrigerator a couple months ago and it is so easy to see everything inside and easily remove items I need. The recessed handles are a plus and love the small ice maker that makes ice fast and the water inside comes out nice and cold. It is perfect for two older adults.

I was shopping for several months for the precise design that would fit my space and kitchen layout. The 36" models would have interfered with other features and the smaller cubic foot models were too small. I liked this Model a lot, but put off buying for a while. Then, suddenly, it became an urgent need as my old fridge went kapoot. I isisted at the stores we went to that the LG LRTLS2403S was what I wanted. Four different stores couldn't deliver for 5 days. Soooo, I drove 110 miles round trip to pick it up myself. Best decision I ever made. Roomy, holds temperature exact. The internal cold water is a blessing. And the optional Ice Maker is so easy to install my little sister could do it in 20 minutes. Great product.

Stylish and Quiet

We purchased this refrigerator about a month ago as a replacement for a larger (cu.ft.) but old and ailing side-by-side by a different manufacturer. Surprisingly, this somewhat smaller LG refrigerator seems to hold more food due to the efficient interior design. The exterior is stylish with no protruding door handles to take up additional space in our small kitchen. It is very quite and we have not any problems with either the refrigerator or freezer compartment so far.

So Far, So Good

We bought this a couple of weeks ago when our 20 year old fridge finally quit running. Consumer Reports gave it a "Best Buy" rating and that convinced us on the purchase. It comes with a water line to dispense drinking water but, since we live in an older home with copper tubing, the installers weren't allowed to hook it up. No problem as we didn't use one in the old fridge either. (We've used a Britta Water Bottle for years). We also took out the water filter that came with the fridge and closed it off with the provided cap. We didn't get the optional ice maker either. It has 2 shelves (we would've preferred 3) and no deli meat keeper as our old fridge had. We just put a bin on 1 of the shelves and that works as there is plenty of room in the fridge as well as in the freezer area. There are bins, with adjustable settings for humidity, for fruits and vegetables. It runs quietly so no complaints there. Only thing we don't like about it is the stainless steel finish which shows finger marks very easily. Soap and water removes that but still....All in all, we're pleased with our purchase.

Disappointing for the price

The size square footage size is misleading. I didn't think about the placement of the water dispenser on the inside and how easy it would be to tap and make a mess all over everything in the refrigerator. Also only having two door shelves because of the two large drawers at the bottom of the refrigerator takes up a lot of unused area. Also can't put my magnets on the outside of the refrigerator I guess it's aluminum or something with plastic over it because it's not magnetic at all

I am waiting on a new fridge. The delivery people believe they cut the line that connects the internal water dispenser and the installed Ice maker. So right now I have use of water dispenser but not the ice maker. I love the water dispenser. Maybe when I get the new Fridge and both the water dispenser and the Ice Maker are working I will rate this higher.

Fridge is nice and cold, as is the freezer. But there is no light in the freezer, and that is disappointing. We also found it is difficult to find things in the fridge, as we are not used to bending over. (Previously had a bottom freezer).

I bought this refrigerator 11 months ago. The freezer door pops open too easily when closing the fridge door. Often is stays open enough to let cool air out and warm air in. This results in ice forming all around the back of freezer compartment. This, I believe, resulted in the premature failure of the freezer fan and controller. It took approximately 7 weeks to repair this problem. But the problem with the door still persists which leads me to believe it will happen again. I don't believe the magnetic sealing strip around the freezer door is strong enough.

I had this fridge in my last rental and it came with the home I recently purchased. I disliked it both times and will be getting something different. It’s small, doesn’t have an ice maker, water dispenser is sooo slow and it’s hard to find foods because everything is low and pushed back. Without visible handles, fingers prints are seen easily, everywhere.

I purchased based on LG's excellent reputation for dependability. The refrigerator and freezer are roomy! I am limited on space and did not want a bottom freezer, so this was my option. I was disappointed that the icemaker was not factory installed and I had to pay extra for the kit which did not include tubing. The inside is very basic. Just shelves and two lower bins. I am looking for pull out under shelf drawers and don't see them offered on your website. I also was surprised to find that there is no light in the freezer. I overlooked that feature when looking at options for my kitchen but I now feel 'nickel and dimed' between the icemaker, pull out shelves and the light in the freezer. I feel the price I paid didn't reflect a stripped down, garage ready model. All that was really included was the inside water dispenser. I would appreciate a response. Thank you

I have had this refrigerator for a year and a half I have had to have a repairman come every 3-6 months to fix it inability to defrosting properly. Causing the refrigerator part to run warm. I have lost hundreds in groceries and repairs due to this. I have followed the cleaning protocols to a T and yet it keeps doing it! I even bought another freezer to limit the food in the freezer to keep circulation of air going. With what I have spend in time, repairs, and lost of food. I should have bought a different brand of refrigerator! So disappointing!

Would have given 0 stars if I could have had this fridge for less than 3 years and had to buy 4 replacement shelves and it's not from a heavy amount of things being out on them the plastic that these are made from is absolute trash. The first one literally cracked one day when it was 70 inside my home and just from opening the door the exposure to different temperature caused it to shatter one one side breaking the shelf below it as it fell.

Annoying Door Alarm

Doors never close right and the annoying ding ding ding alarm is constantly going off many times after we close them. Don't buy this model

We bought this refrigerator a month ago and regret the choice. We chose a top freezer because we had read that this was the most efficient. Maybe, but it is most inconvenient. It also runs much too cold. The factory settings caused ice cream to be indestructible. Adjusting down....still too hard. Final adjustment....mush. Having the fridge on the bottom requires bending over to reach anything (most items) positioned below the waist. The loss of shelf storage with a single door we find severe compared to the amount of space we had with our French door model. The water inside requires the fridge door to be opened repeatedly. It should only be positioned for use outside the box. We would gladly trade up to a French door bottom freezer if provided the opportunity.

Defective materials and no support

Not Magnetic!

I was so disappointed that this fridge is not magnetic. We keep a magnetic family calendar whiteboard on our fridge and a magnetic collection from our travels. Nothing will stick. Is there a way to make it magnetic? Very disappointed this was not mentioned to use when buying. I wasn't aware that Stainless Steel is not magnetic and now we have not place to put our family calendar and magnets.

Cooling issues

LG does not stand by their products

Two shelves failed on refrigerator. The main glass shelves have a plastic edge that disintegrated. The plastic was so brittle I could easily snap it with my fingers. Contacted LG customer service. They said it was over the warranty, by a couple of months. They said this happens when the shelves are “overloaded”, which believe me, they were not. I sent pictures of the plastic illustrating how weak it had become, but they really could care less. Their suggestion was to buy replacement shelves at 100 dollars each, back ordered a month because, well, they fail so much they cannot keep up on parts. I am reluctant to do that as there is no guarantee these won’t fail in a year also. I work in plastics and this is an obvious failure of the material. Read more

Our repair guy I would give five stars. The only reason why I gave this two stars is because I was extremely disappointed to find out that the parts of this LG refrigerator are cheap plastic. I only have the refrigerator a year and already the fan went. I saw the fan and I was so perplexed that the product is made with junk. Definitely not worth the money.

My refrigerator is waiting for repair. It doesn't keep food cold and I have taken a lost on food in the refrigerator section. I been having problems with this fridge since reporting it in September about loud noise. Now it doesn't keep food cold And yes I am still paying on it.

My refrigerator was fantastic at the beginning. I only bought it 2 months ago. Was so disappointed when it messed up. Lg has been great at trying to help me fast. But it took a lot of time and day witch was also disappointing.

Cheap fridge, ok quality

Looks decent, has good space. Water dispenser is convenient, but you will only get 2 classes of cold water before you need to close the door and wait for a few hours. You get what you pay for. Not even 2 years old and all of the plastic frames of the shelves are cracked. The refrigeration system has been loud since purchase. This is due to the latest generation of refrigerants all refrigerators use these days. Even when off the refrigeration system is loud. Upon compressor shut down you will hear the propane/butane refrigerant boiling off/ bubbling as the system equalizes. You will be able to hear all of this in any adjoining room, possibly further. This refrigerator would get 3 stars if the ice maker kit was ever in stock. Due to covid shortages the fridge was only sold "ice maker ready". Almost 2 years later and they are almost never available.

Awful refrigerator

Junk!!! About 5 years ago we purchased a bottom freezer LG refrigerator. Was the largest 33 in wide bottom freezer. It stopped working. We needed a new refrigerator ASAP. Went and purchased this one about 4 months ago. Was another 24 cubic ft 33 in wide and could get it the next day. Wanted to stay with LG to match our oven and microwave. Here we are, 4 months later and freezer is okay, refrigerator is 55*. Removed everything from the refrigerator. Set to the coldest setting. Same results. I wouldn't recommend this to anyone. 2 refrigerators in under 6 years, terrible. Now have to go look for another refrigerator. Won't be an LG that's for sure

Lasted 5 months

It was delivered in January and quit running in June. We lost all of our food and had to take a day off of work for the repair man. Plus when we got it home we realized it didn't have a freezer light. It has a fancy water dispenser that we can t use , but no light.

I bought an LG refrigerator in January 2022 and he decided to die last month. I will never buy another LG refrigerator again when it worked well it worked fine but the compressor decided to die and I consider it not money well spent.

Bought this in June 2022, September 2022 the freezer motor died. They sent out a repairman in October 2022, he had to order the part. Came back in November 2022 to fix it. It’s seems ok now. Did I mention that the repairman was very rude and ignorant, like he was being bothered to come out and repair it. The worst! Keep shopping around it’s not even worth the aggravation.

Shelves Broke within 9 months

Shelves are glass with a cheap plastic around the edges. The plastic broke on both shelves within days of each other, and now am left without functional shelves. Shelves are nearly a hundred bucks a piece to replace.

Manufacturer Design Fail

I’ve had this refrigerator just at 2 weeks now. As far as the refrigerator itself goes it is working as it should be. A little noisier than I think it should be but it works. The terrible thing about this refrigerator is the design of the door going all the way to the floor. Within the first couple of days I caught my foot with it. Just this past weekend I did it again (and I’ve been very careful trying to keep away from the door) and this time it was very bad. I think the toe is broke and I will probably lose the nail. Very painful.

Very disappointed

Horrible refrigerator. I wanted to return and can’t. Very upset I have to keep this. There is no light in the back of the fridge, only front. Too dark to see what’s there, never had a fridge that wasn’t bright inside. If I knew I would have never got it. Bad enough it has no drawer for lunch meats. Not happy at all.

Cheap Plastic Shelves

Looks great, nice storage! Have had it repaired 4 times in 6 months. Was broken waiting for parts more than was in use. Now it is frosting the containers in my freezer. Hate this appliance! Wish I never bought it. My daughter refuses to use it because so much of her food goes bad! Avoid this one!
