Space in the refrigerator is huge and well lit with lots of shelves and drawers , the freezer holds quite a bit also but no option to adjust the bins, my only complaint is when the ice tray is full, when you open the freezer the arm drags ice into the bottom of the freezer

Honest review

I’ve had the refrigerator for over a week. It runs well. There’s alot of storage space which is great. The only reason i did not give this item 5 stars is the refrigerator has a few cosmetic issues. The doors are not level but not that noticeable The stainless steel doors had some tarnishing. You can see where glue was used for some plastic casing around the door.

I’m so happy with this refrigerator. I had a four-year old Whirlpool side-by-side that I hated! The water/ice dispenser in the door had the worst design and I was frustrated daily. I love the space in this new one. Although it’s the same size, there is much more room. They use a different stainless steel on this as well. It’s a much better quality.

So far so good, although the one change I would make is the water dispenser. The water dispenser is on the left hand side, I think it would be more convenient on the other side since most people are right handed. Not a big deal but if I were to redesign it I would put it on the right hand side.

I gave this a 4 instead of 5 because the drawers in the freezer are grated and bit solid. This allows ice cubes to constantly fall to the very bottom of the fridge and to remove them you need to get on all 4's to reach!! otherwise,, it's great!

We've had our new refrigerator for a little over a month and we are absolutely delighted. Went from a old side by side to a double door fridge on top and freezer on the bottom. Why didn't we get a new this earlier we keep asking ourselves?! Our old one was chugging along but we knew that it would stop chugging at some point. Worth the investment!

This is our third time purchasing this model. There was never anything wrong with the previous ones—we’ve simply moved several times and chose to replace the existing refrigerators with this same model each time. It’s a straightforward, no‑nonsense refrigerator without all the extra electronic features newer models include, and that’s exactly what we prefer. Fewer bells and whistles mean fewer things that can break. We’ve never owned a refrigerator with exterior water and ice dispensers that didn’t eventually have issues, so avoiding that setup has been a plus for us. What really keeps us coming back to this model is the ice maker. It has a generously sized ice tray, produces large cubes, and the overall storage layout is just right for our needs.

Attractive style and lots of storage

Had to replace LG in July and wanted a slightly smaller size but didn't have time to research. Like the LED lights and easy to set the temps. Don't like the fan noise being more loud and believe it may consume more electricity . Also hope the LED lights don't burn out as itbl will require a maintenance service call. Wish the full lower drawer in the upper fridge section was separated so only one French door needs to be opened to access contents. Like the upper freezer drawer...more robust than our previous fridge.

OK so far. One negative is that I don’t see any way that I can move the dividers in the freezer slide out tray. I would like to position them differently. Also, fingerprints and smudge marks DEFINITELY show up on the outside. This is my first experience with a stainless steel refrigerator, so something that I’ll have to get used to. Daily wiping off with a microfiber cloth.

Great family fridge!

I have had this fridge for a month or so and I love it. I had a side by side before and was always being attacked by frozen food when I opened the freezer. Now I feel safe getting out my food. I like that the ice and water are done inside instead of on the door. I love the big racks on the doors. They hold so much more and the amount of shelf space is like getting 2 extra shelves compared to our old fridge. I really needed this when the kids were at home! The only thing I would change is making the top long drawer in the fridge into 2 drawers so you don't have to open both doors to open that drawer. I am really loving this fridge!

Great AMERICAN MADE FRIDGE…… The style and capacity of my new refrigerator is perfect. I would have preferred the exterior water spicket as each time I need water I have to open the upper door. Fingerprint free is a plus. The cooling and freezer sensor work well. I do recommend this Whirlpool Fridge. Of note the inside capacity is amazing.

This has been a huge upgrade over our previous fridge. My food is now kept cooled evenly, now more frozen items in the back of the fridge. After keeping the door open, it cools back down to normal operating temperature right away. The ice cubes always come Out perfect as well. It also looks amazing in our kitchen.

I bought this 2 weeks ago and love its storage space and functionality. I especially like the internal water dispenser; we can fill multiple glasses back-to-back and the water is still cold, unlike some that I've used in the past that dispense room temp water. The only complaint, and it is minor, is that we have to pay close attention when closing the doors, as they sometimes need an extra push at the end to firmly seal.

Like it so far but….

We like it so far. Works well, we love that you can easily see the temperature both set and actual. The vents being in the top center makes sense, so we don’t have to worry about blocking them, like our old one with the vents in the rear. Temperature control is steady and doesn’t fluctuate much. Minor complaints are; 1-Upper Doors don’t adjust on this model and 2- ice cubes fall out the back when we open the freezer door. Given the price on this model we aren't disappointed. Thank you for making a reliable frig. We have only had a few weeks but so far so good. We choose the 25.2 cf because we have a smaller kitchen and the counter depth models were too expensive and smaller. Like all the extra room not having an in the door ice maker frees up. The noise some complain about , isn’t bad at all. It’s a slightly higher then our old frig, but unless your residence is completely quiet, it’s hardly noticeable, also the frig cycles on and off so it doesn’t run all the time.

I have my fridge for about a month and am enjoying the French doors and inside capacity for platters. The water dispenser is an unusual change for me as it's situated inside the fridge. The dairy drawer runs the width of the inside, it is a little shallow but suits my needs. In all I like the design and finger-proof exterior.

Needed a new French door style fridge and decided to go top fridge/ bottom freezer (we have a garage freezer) and am so glad we did instead of the split side by side style. It feels luxurious opening both doors and having so much space inside! And still having ice and water but not losing interior space is such a plus! I love how functional the drawers are and that you can fit gallon sized jugs in BOTH doors! Absolute love my new fridge and highly recommended it!

I love my new refrigerator, only issue I have is the doors and drawer dont always close all the way. The top doors have an alarm, the bottom drawer does not, everything in my freezer was covered in frost. We double check it now, but I worry it will happen again.

We really like this fridge. Would give it a 5 star rating if not for the dividers pre-installed in the to drawer of the freezer. Odd placement and extremely difficult to adjust. Would need to remove the top drawer and risk breaking the device that holds it in place. Then use a screwdriver to remove the latching piece from the dividers, again risk breaking.

I just got my new refrigerator. The LED lights are great at lighting up the interior. The only down side I've found with this model is the cheap clear door shelves. The clear one look great but from past experience, they have a very high tendency to crack/break compared to the solid white ones. Other than that I love all the interior shelves and the the freezer has the extra room and compartments I was really looking for. Great value for the money.

This is a good value and has the features we really wanted: ice maker in the bottom freezer drawer and water dispenser inside the fridge. Our Samsung, which had booth in the door, developed serious problems with both. The Whirlpool is quiet and offers plenty of room in both the top and bottom compartments with lots of flexibility with configuration.

Luckily I have a small freezer chest in my garage. Not sure how much food you can freeze. with out an issue.

I love the black stainless color and the clean front with no ice/water dispenser cut-out! However, there are two things I wish this fridge had—an auto-shut for the freezer (it’s REALLY easy to think you pushed it closed enough, and you didn’t), AND the button for the filtered water should be BELOW the spout, not over it, so you can fill your cup or bottle with one hand.

I would rate it a 5 star except for the weird barricade in the freezer drawer. It does not pop out like the ice tray. To remove it apparently requires a specialized metal cutting torch. LOL. Not sure why it is there.

We love the new fridge, bought when our Samsung finally kicked the bucket. . Would be a five star, but I have a small gripe with the freezer. When you close the freezer door, if you don’t first push the upper cage drawer in before closing the door, or close the door with what feels like what is close to a slam, the door will not quite seal and the freezer will lose temp and frost over. Again it is just a matter of really going a push when closing the door, but still a gripe compared to our last freezer drawer. To be fair, the last fridge overall was a complete lemon other than the easy closing doors

Our old refrigerator ran into problems so we purchased this as a replacement a month ago. At first I missed some features from my old fridge, but soon discovered that this one is far superior! It is roomy, holds so much more than I thought it would, and the internal layout makes it easy to access everything I need easily. I love that the finish does not leave fingerprints! I am so glad we upgraded to this one.

Love the design!! My previous fridge was a basic side by side- the freezer side was so small I couldn’t find anything. I was constantly throwing away expired food. But with my new fridge with the French design makes it MUCH easier to see freezer contents. Best feature of all are the double doors on the fridge top!! SO easy to organize and view everything with ease. Best appliance I’ve purchased for my kitchen ever! Plus you can’t beat Whirlpool when it comes to dependability and value😃 !

Nice mid-range refrigerator from a top notch manufacturer. Only issue is the finger grip access handles on the crisper drawers are opposite what you would normally find in a refer. And require you to insert your fingers from the top as opposed to reaching up from the bottom. I've had the unit for a month now and I am still finding myself trying to grasp the drawer handles incorrectly. These finger slots are also much more conducive to accumulating misc bits things you do not desire to. collect.

our fridge bit the dust, had to find one quick.did a little research and then leg work. we settled for this one as it was close in size to what we had. interior wise it seems smaller not sure why. we opted for in freezer ice making as we had such bad luck with in door dispensers not producing enough when it was hot. we have great ice no problem. it has the finger print proof black stainless goes fine with our kitchen. hope it lasts. wanted a large capacity with minimal things that could go wrong. we shall see,

Clean look! Lots of fridge space!

We bought this fridge about 3 months ago and it has proven to be a great, efficient, and spacious refrigerator. I love the look and shelving in this fridge. Definitely lots of space in the refrigerator compartment and freezer compartment. It doesn’t use a lot of energy keeping things cold and is a very quiet refrigerator compared to our last model. However, the water dispenser is inside which is inconvenient and the flow rate isn’t as quick as I would like. The ice-maker also conked out after a month of operation which was a big bummer. I guess a lot of these models have a faulty ice-maker which needs to be replaced. So have your ice-maker replaced ASAP if you do get this refrigerator. Besides that, it is a great refrigerator and would highly recommend it!

I bought this a month ago. The ice maker makes a lot of noise. The ice cube tray overflows if I forget to turn off the ice maker. The ice goes into the bottom of the freezer, under the drawers. I choose the model that doesn’t have the ice and water on the door. I thought I’d have less hassle that way. It shouldn’t be too miuch of a problem once I get used to it.

Good fridge so far, very spacious. Freezer compartment could be a little larger, would be willing to sacrifice fridge pace. Also having the meat drawer as full width is inconvenient since it requires you to open both doors to access just the meat drawer. Only real issue the fridge has.

I had this [almost] same refrigerator at a house I built 10 years ago. The only thing I notice about this one is that the door shelves and drawers are thinner than the last one I had, and I think it would be easy to damage them. So far, I am loving the ease with which I can access items in the fridge. I am used to the low drawer freezer and ice maker, so I load items in the most usable and findable way that works! Fits perfectly into the cabinet space vacated by the old side-by-side Kitchenaid.

I am going on two months with my new frig and I love it. Fresh produce is kept fresh for a very long time. The visibility of content of the refrigerator main compartment is excellent. The bottom freezer compartment is great. Nothing falls out when I open the door. Everything is easy to find and the built in drawers are roomy. I also have a Whirlpool range and dishwasher. Love them both.

Nice Fridge!

I am really enjoying my new fridge with a few exceptions. I went from a bottom freezer to this French door. We had a couple issues with the doors not being closed all the way. You really have to shut the doors well. The freezer built up some ice around the light lever got stuck the light wouldn’t stay on in the freezer. A repair guy came out and said you need to push the door closed from the middle and not the sides because it could leave a small gap. The top basket in the freezer does not slide very smoothly but i believe that’s the design of it. The left door wasn’t closed all the way so the temperature went up while we were at work all day and unaware of our mistake. The fridge does show fingerprints but not as bad as my old stainless steel fridge and they are easy to wipe off. We are enjoying the size of the inside and that you can move the shelves. It’s also nice having the water dispenser inside. I was concerned about leaving the door open all the time to use it but the repair man said it was designed to handle it. I also would prefer not to have to open both doors to use one side of the long drawer but we are getting used to it. Overall, I’m happy with my purchase. It was the only refrigerator I could find built in the U.S. that is finger print resistant with an ice maker in the freezer, water dispenser in the inside, and moveable shelves in the inside. I also got a much better deal purchasing it directly through Whirlpool and having them deliver and set it up.

It works — holds the temperature in both freezer and fridge, which is something the predecessor stopped doing. Plastic door shelves are flimsy and inferior to previous Whirlpool/Amana fridge — I would have kept the old ones if I could. The old fridge held up for 16 years; seriously doubt this one will.

The icemaker is a little hard to turn off and on for older people that have to get down your knees to do something with it. For the price when it was on sale is not bad.

I've had this refrigerator for about 2 wks now and I feel pleased overall with the purchase. I love the stainless steel finish. It looks so clean. The ice maker is simple and I like it being in the bottom of freezer vs the door. The water dispenser inside the top is good. The only reason I gave it 4 vs 5 stars is the quality of the drawers for deli meats and fruits and vegetables. They are very flimsy--to the point that I was afraid of breaking them just removing the plastic covering from the factory. The shelves in the doors are also more flimsy and don't slide into place as well and can be pushed up and out easily from their bottom, so not very sturdy. But overall the fridgerator functions well and looks great, and despite those things I don't like I'd still recommend it.

Good compromise on features and cost

I bought this to replace a very similar Whirlpool model that died of a failing compressor after 7 years. This model lacks the external water and ice access. We’ve only had it 2 weeks. Positives are that the ice maker in the freezer drawer is much faster than the in-door ice of the old model. The refrigerator compartment is also larger with this change. Negatives are that the unit is more noisy than most (as I read in other reviews). The internal water access works well but it should have been a lever instead of a button for one hand operation. The ice does steal freezer space but we have a deep freeze so it’s not a problem for us. Unit was on sale for 1400 so it was reasonable compared to others.

It does make more noise than the KitchenAid fridge that was replaced. The KitchenAid was a substantially more expensive fridge that only lasted seven plus years. We hope the lifespan on this one is decent.

So far it’s working fine. The ice maker/water is a little louder than I’d like. The door alarm doesn’t sound until it’s been open 5 minutes…I could have left the house by then!! Should be a minute or adjustable by owner. The top drawer in the freezer is pretty stiff to move, Oh and the water filter hanging down takes up valuable space, should be on the back all.

I am very happy with the Whirlpool refrigerator we just purchased. The only change I would make is to have the large deli tray made into two smaller trays, as are the produce drawers. That way you wouldn't have to pull out such a large drawer all the time and you could also designate each drawer, like one for deli meats and one for cheeses.

Great Features But The Icemaker Stopped Working

We bought this refrigerator in March 2025. Until a month ago I'd have given it 5 stars, but the icemaker stopped working in late November. It was still under warranty, so I called to have someone repair it, and they arrived in 2 days. The guy had the new icemaker, but since the replace filter light was on, he wouldn't fix it until it was replaced and we gave it 3 days to start producing ice. I replaced it that day, and 3 days later still no ice, so I called the company to have them repair it again. They no longer had the part and had to reorder it, and it took 3 weeks for it to come in. Today the icemaker was replaced and in under 8 hours it was producing ice again. I'm very disappointed that it broke less than a year after purchasing it and I worry that something else will go wrong. A Google search of the madel said that icemaker problems are common for it.

I've had this fridge for about 6 months and it works fine. We had an issue early on with ice overflowing and getting behind freezer door, which makes the freezer ice up - everything ends up with a coat of frost on it. So you need to be careful when pulling out the drawer that has the ice tray and make sure that any stray cubes that fall are collected. The compressor is pretty loud sometimes, and I'm hopeful that this is not an indication that it is going to be a problem.

Difficult doors

Inside flap on left refrigerator door does not fully retract unless the left door is opened first. If the right door is opened first and then the left door is opened, the flap remains partially open and will prevent the left door from closing. There is no damping on the doors so they close with a jarring motion that rattles all contents in the door trays.

Exterior Looks Great, Interior Not So Good

The Whirlpool is of the same design and exterior size of the 12 year Samsung that finally wore out, but it holds far less food. The door shelves are shallower and accommodate fewer bottles and jars. Much space in the upper refrigerator is consumed by the water filter holder, and more space is used in the lower freezer drawer by the ice maker. The plastic pullout drawers also seem flimsier than those in the Samsung. The motor noise, while not terribly loud, is nevertheless rather obvious and seems to run more frequently than it should. My Whirlpool microwave is outstanding, but the refrigerator definitely is not. I should have been a better comparison shopper before buying.

Design flaw

Every time you pull the ice bin forward to get ice ,the metal arm on the ice maker pushes an ice cube out. Sometimes it slides out the bottom to the kitchen floor. Sometimes it stays in the bottom of the freezer. The other day the freezer door wouldn’t shut properly because of an ice cube stuck in the inside corner, by the time I noticed it there was a huge frost buildup.

I have had this for less than 2 months. One evening we went into the freezer and everything was melted- the temperature was 37 degrees instead of the recommended 0 degrees we had it set at. What a mess to clean up with melted ice cream! We reset the temp to 0 and it seems to work now, but on another day, there was frost all over the freezer rack, hard to roll out the rack all iced up. That cleared up somehow. Not real happy with this purchase, but it was all we could order quickly after our refriderator died. This model seems to have quirks.

Disappointing Purchase of this Refrigerator

I have the refrigerator for exactly 2 weeks when I write this review. The humming noises from the compressor and fan are loud. Called Whirlpool Support and they claimed it is within the spec perimeter. The water dispenser requires both hands to get water. When pulling the freezer door, the upper basket in the freezer would not come out halfway for easy access. My old Samsung had none of the above problems and I am still using it.

I needed a new one in a hurry I wanted this same style and configuration and I thought the new model was, until I reloaded it. I did not want a water dispenser with filter as this model has. The configuration of the refrigerator interior is much smaller: all shelves are 3” narrower, deli drawer about 1/2 the size,produce drawers with decrease capacity. Why such changes/?

Poorly and inefficiently designed

The water dispenser on the inside is very inefficient. To fill a pitcher with water the door has to remain open for over a minute and a half, while holding the door open while having to dispense water with two hands. With a shoulder injury and arthritis this painful and difficult. The half size ice cube tray is all the way in the back of the bottom freezer drawer making bending down and reaching in to get ice cubes difficult. also, in order to get items out of the coldcut drawer both refrigerator doors need to be opened. it is a very poorly designed refrigerator.

I bought this refrigerator and I have a problem with it on th shelves is a lot of humidity I have to keep the humidity button on all the time and then still have to dry the shelves with a towel

Disappointing

We replaced a 15 year old Whirlpool with a basically identical model (that was trouble free) and are very disappointed in the quality. In particular the glides for the storage bins in the refrigerator are poorly made and the drawers don't slide well. Same with the pull out rack in the freezer, it no longer glides on rollers but instead rests on a rail. This makes it much more difficult to slide out and especially slide in, to the point that it holds the freezer door open. This product has been cheapened a lot over the years, time will tell regarding durability but our initial impression is that quality has really gone down.

42 days old and got warm twice. I hope it is a fluke. Not full or blocking vents at all and no known reason for the issue. Calling got me an email to clean the dog hair off the coils because, you know in 42 days we really have it caked on there! Insert "eye roll emoji"

ice maker not working

installed on July 28th 1 week later still no ice. leaks and froze up in catch bin. we waited the 72 hrs as stated and emptied solid ice block all week long.

Very poorly designed in every respect

Was happy to try a different brand and regret it. DO NOT buy this or any similar refrigerator with bottom freezer. There are many issues. Doors do not close automatically, closely and the alarms do not sound soon enough, leading to thaw. The freezer is a disaster. The way it's designed is very heavy. Sometimes it 'bounces back' after closing so that it's NOT closed and major thawing happens. Hate how the top freezer rack --well the whole rack -- is super heavy and doesn't want to pull out or shut. Would love to not have to pull twice to access the top freezer drawer. After all this time, why is design lacking? The water spout inside the fridge is a dumb design that requires 2 hands. Water filters install nicely. Space inside is OK.

I bought this refrigerator because it is the only one that fits on my kitchen. It’s the 4th refrigerator that I bought from this brand in 10 years. The last one I bought in 2023, and the refrigerant was leaking in 2025. I hope this one holds for more than 5 years

Buyer beware...

We are so disappointed in this refrigerator! We bought this model 5 years ago for a different house, and LOVED it! This newer model is so cheaply made. The drawers have to be forced open and closed, the plastic bins are thin, and the fingerprint-less finish is not as fingerprint-less as it used to be. The deli drawer is HALF the size that it used to be! I wished we had looked at other makes and models before assuming we would get the same quality only 5 years later.

Reurned Refrigereator

I returned the refrigerator. It leaked out the back when the water dispenser was used. Fortunately I have terrazzo floors ir it would have caused much more damage. The overall quality was not the best but I would have been willing to live with it until I saw water flowing from the kitchen.
