Happy with this refrigerator freezer

This refrigerator has plenty of space in the freezer and refrigerator. I have had to adjust the temperature a few times dur to items in the fridge side freezing. I did have a service issue because the waterline to the ice maker was not installed properly. Water was running down the rear wall of the freezer and freezing around the area where the compressor fan is. It made a horrible grinding noise. I called for service and they came out within g a couple days to fix the issue. That was a few weeks ago and I haven’t had that issue again. So far we are happy with this appliance

Needed a certain size to fit within existing cabinet spaces and this one works great! Only wish the ice/water door on the front held the bigger glasses. Always end up with ice on the floor!

Purchased early Jan 2024 and so far so good. Water & ice dispenser works well, freezes all items well and refrigerator keeps things cold and fresh. The only thing I don't like is the freezer side is small, not very much room at all. You couldn't put a 20lb turkey in it. For a small family it's just right as long as you don't buy a lot of things that need to be frozen.

Great Refrigerator! I would recommend it to others

This fridge was delivered Oct 30th 2023 and so far it has been great! I'm a single person so I don't need a lot of extra space in my fridge. When unloading the old Whirlpool fridge I just sat as much food as I could in the shelves from the door and to my surprise the old shelves fit perfectly in the new fridge. So now I have plenty of shelves on the inside door! Drawers on the inside fridge, the biggest one didn't slide in and out as smooth as the other two but that didn't bother me. I really don't need three drawers so I took the biggest one out so I could have more shelf space. So far, my one and only complaint is trying to vacuum the condenser coils underneath the bottom of the fridge. That's a bit challenging to say the least.

works ok I think

I bought this item a month a ago and so far so good. The only things that I feel are not right are: that the wheels don't lock. Every time we open the fridge doors the whole fridge rolls forward because they do not lock. I had to put rubber stops on the wheels to stop that. Also the fridge is all black but the hinges are silver and stick out like sore thumb from the side view.. See picture. Also it seems like the fridge always is running. I hope that is ok. We had to get this fridge because we had limited space due to that it had to fit into the cabinet and this one fit.

We love it. Huge upgrade from our previous appliance. There is a switch that shuts off the compressor when the door is opened. We will see about the durability of that component in the long run. But I could see that being an issue with the compressor constantly being clicked on and off whenever the door is opened. So far so good though!

I am happy with the purchase of this refrigerator, it is quiet, great looking, and has a very good ice cube capacity, although the water dispenser does drip down the front of the refrigerator after each use. I don't like that you can see the water line from under the refrigerator that leads to the in-door water dispenser/ice maker; it makes the refrigerator look unfinishished.

We live in a very small townhouse. 950 sq ft. We only had a space of 69" tall for a fridge to fit I to. This fridge is MORE than we had hoped for! Holds a LOT! Especially the freezer! And the features are perfect! So glad we bought this one!

Now I know why Whirlpool is top rated! My two favorite features are the ice-maker which has various options and the the shelves and draws in refrigerator are all clear and so easy to see what you have stored away! Freezer also has a lot of storage and like how the shelves are set-up. You can fit more food than it appears. We are loving it!

Good but not great.

Some of this is my fault for not researching further but some of it is fixable from the Whirplool side. I like the fridge overall. It looks nice and has the space needed for residential use. I like the size of the ice container in the freezer that the water/ice dispenser is flawless. I wish I had looked further at the interior when looking for a new fridge. The main shelves are not adjustable which limits the things I can place in the main shelf area. Specifically a gallon of milk barely fits in the top shelf. The cap of the milk jug rubs the top of the fridge. The door shelves are adjustable but I don't really have a need for smaller items to need a ton of adjustable space. The issue Whirpool could work on is the compressor sound. It's rather loud and seems to run longer than usual for a fridge. I have the cold settings set at the recommended "mid" range so it's not like I'm having it go sub-zero for the freezer. Overall it's a good fridge just be aware of the shelving and compressor notations.

Excellent use of the space inside!

I have owned my new whirlpool refrigerator for a few weeks now. It has made me surprisingly happy! I actually went down 5 ft.³ from the last Refrigerator I owned. But this refrigerator actually feels bigger! They have cleverly designed the inside to utilize every bit of space! I like how everything is see-through. And cleanly clear. I can easily see all of my food. I especially enjoy the design of the water and ice dispenser. My last refrigerator used the same dispenser for both. But this one has a separate one for the water and ice. Overall I’m very happy! My only criticism would be that it is such a light refrigerator, it easily moves away from the wall when we open the door! I thought it would stop doing that when we filled it, but it still seems to slide forward. Perhaps we are too strong for our own good!

A good, basic side-by-side

A good, basic refrigerator/freezer and one of the only models that, at 67 1/2" height, will fit into my space. Upkeep of the finish is a bit of a chore. Fingerprint resistance is not that great. Crushed ice is hard to capture in a glass. Admittedly I don't have the freezer very full, but the freezer temperature during the defrost cycle goes up to close to 20ºF. I have moved the baseline freezer setting to a level 4 so that the ice cream doesn't have time to soften up during a defrost cycle. Otherwise, it performs as advertised.

A love affair!

This appliance offers a streamlined, contemporary appearance and has a spacious interior for a smaller unit. The lighting is bright, and it's easy to see the contents of the sleek glass adjustable shelves and lower drawers. I especially like the deli/cheese drawer and having two additional drawers for produce. I chose this model as it offered both ice cubes and crushed ice, as well as a water dispenser. The only issue is storing frozen pizza boxes - you lose a shelf of the freezer.

It was the only refrigerator with ice & water on the door that would fit the space and it the same as the one I replace except for being newer. We like it very much and everything works well. It is a little noisy otherwise does everything we need.

Does the job

Overall it seems to work as it should. It appears to run about 1/16-1/8 inch wider than advertised which created some difficulty for me fitting it into the spot I had for it. It also needs to run on coolest setting for it to reach proper temperature. And I personally don’t care for the energy saving feature that turns the fan off every time a door is opened because I feel that this could lead to premature fan parts failing due to the constant turning off and on.

It seems like a good refrigerator with the notable positive quality of being among the very few that will fit the space in my kitchen. It has a good cold section and the freezer has a good ice maker. The problem is that the freezer is quite small. The ice maker takes up half the door. I can live with that however the remaining shelves on the door are poorly designed. The walls of the shelves should be thinner to allow better space. I also think the three shelves in the main freezer should be supplied with pull out wire baskets to better use the storage space. I like the temperature controls are good and the refrigerator cools and freezes great.

Everything but that hum.

Bought last month, overall pleased with appliance. I love the bright interior lights and consistent temperature. There is a near constant hum from a fan or something that begins a few seconds after you close the fridge door, it stops humming when you open the door. This is the only downside of this fridge for me.

I love my new Whirlpool except for one thing and that is…it runs all of the time, the only time it doesn’t run is when you open it. Other than the running all of the time, I absolutely love my new Whirlpool refrigerator. So much room and laid out so nicely. The freezer is just as nice and I love the ice maker. The water is an absolute plus. So easy to get to and use and the choice of the two ices for your drink is great. Whirlpool has done it for me, except for the refrigerator running all of the time!

I was happy to find a full-sized fridge that fit in my limited space. I had no wish to have an ice maker or cold-water dispenser, but I am willing to give them a try. I have drunk bottled water for 51 years to avoid tap water which is iffy at best where I live. My house water goes through a water softener, so the taste will take getting used to. In general, the fridge is great and looks good in my kitchen.

Water spout exceeds drip pan so water drips down on refrig and onto floor.. Wish shelves were adjustable. Love the led lighting and location of water filter gained space

Overall I am happy with the fridge but I have a few things I would change. I would like adjustable shelves in the fridge section. My old fridge also had sliding shelves which helped get to things in the back .The water dispenser on is too close to the front. If the glass is not positioned properly the water squirts all over.

Decent fridge

Overal, it’s a pretty great fridge. My only real complaints are as follows: Immediately after purchasing I needed service to come out to fix the fan in the freezer (the fan was crazy noisy) and the compressor was rattling against the interior walls of the fridge causing a VERY loud noose. It has was fixed very quickly and is super quiet now. The ice maker jams up a little if you do crushed ice too much, which is a little annoying, but much better than having the old ice trays. Overall, is a decent little side by side.

The ice maker takes up too much space leaving very little space for food. I wish the refrigerator had adjustable shelves. It almost runs constantly and there is no way to tell what either the freezer or refrigerator's temperature is set at other than 1 to 5 bars on the console.

Works just as needed

This fridge replaced one that had more features, such as spill-proof shelves, an extra ice button, and a temperature indicator. We miss those features. It does have other benefits, though. The old fridge had a drip tray under the dispenser that needed to be removed and cleaned, which we didn't know. So dripping water ran below and rusted out the area. This one also fits much better in the tight space left by the builder for the fridge. Ice production seems slow. Other than that, it cools fine.

The extra deep door shelves are a nice feature but they do limit the depth of the main shelves and the vegetable and fruit drawers. There isn't a main shelf tall enough to accommodate a gallon or half-gallon bottle but the door shelves are deep enough to accommodate them, The ice maker works well and the bin holds a large amount of cubes. There are separate ice and water ports negating the need to constantly switch between ice and water - a nice feature. The temperature regulation is rock solid and the factory defaults work well. All in all a well designed unit.

It was hard to find in white but it is just what we needed and fits perfect in our kitchen being a little shorter as we have a smaller kitchen. We did have a concern at first because it made a loud noise but the service person came right out and found it is just the compressor . I guess some are louder than others but we don’t really notice it now. We are very happy with the fridge and with our local appliance store in town.

The fridge isn't stainless except for doors. It runs a little mope noisy than my older one. The biggest disappointment is the main shelves are not adjustable. You have to place your gallons of milk on top shelf. No other place to put it. Unfortunately this is the only fridge that will fit in our hole with this much square feet. Not really a lot in stock without being months out for delivery.

The drawers are not nearly as strong as they used to be. Your engineers need to revisit their plans for the ice maker. The on/off button is almost impossible to get to. Overall, it's a good looking refrigerator it seems to have more space than my last Whirlpool that was 25 years old and just went out. Hopefully this one will last 25 years as well.

Nice but the shelves do not adjust. Top shelf is shallow. Old Rubbermaid gallon pitchers will not fit on top shelf. I do not like putting heavy items in the door. When we installed the ice maker would not work. With no help from the instruction book I researched and found out the ice maker has a reset button. Turning it on did not make it work. Had to push the reset button. Fits well in our kitchen. Not too tall. Nice appearance.

Purchased this Whirlpool side by side refrigerator to replace an awful LG French Door refrigerator. This refrigerator was one of the few models that fit my space with some room to spare. So far so good. The unit is staying cold (refrigerator and freezer) and is making alot of ice and provides water on the door. Like other reviewers, it would be nice to have adjustable shelves, a quieter ice maker, and fingerprint resistant stainless finish. The water dispenser drips a bit down the door and the refrigerator door could use a soft opening hinge so it doesn't abruptly swing open. All in all, it is doing what a refrigerator and freezer should do keep my food cool and frozen. Time will tell if it ends up being dependable but it is a big improvement over LG thus far.

Space wasting ice maker

We bought this unit sight unseen. We needed a side by side to replace a 14 year old conventional top freezer unit for reasons of physical limitations. This unit solved that problem, but introduced new ones, mainly related to the thru the door ice maker. As others commented, for the 33 inch wide version, the thru the door ice maker takes up 30% of the freezer, and does this at eye level. This thru the door feature is wasteful of energy and space. Getting ice is a noisy process too. To turn off the unit you must slide out the entire ice tray to access a tiny switch using the other hand. The door handles are pretentiously oversized and costly. Better materials should be used inside where it matters and modestly designed handles that refuse to yell “look at me, I’m classy commercial stainless”. For example the bins slide with considerable friction. Our old Whirlpool bins slide with ease. Shelves are non adjustable. LED lighting is excellent. It’s quieter than the old unit and the doors stay open by use of internal detents, then swing closed with assurance, an improvement over the old unit.

Fits Small Space

Fit into a small space with built-in cabinets surrounding the space. Difficult to find a full featured refrigerator that has a small footprint. This refrigerator was perfect in size and features. My only concern is that the rear area gets considerably colder, actually around freezing temps. Turning the temps up will allow the front area to get too warm.

I was concerned this would not be big enough for my husband and I but it is plenty big. Really like the three drawers in the fridge and all the room on the door. Freezer also has more room than I expected with an ice maker. Ice maker is great and having a filter has cut down on our bottled water consumption huge. Only complains are it's on wheels and you have to put a shim under the front wheels so it does not move when the doors are opened. Other complaint is it buzzes sometimes when running which can be annoying.

We had to replace our refrigerator in a bit of a rush as I imagine a lot of folks do. This frig is nice and has a nice price. The size is what was important and it is perfect. It does seem like some of the plastics are a bit thin and may be a long term issue. For example, the ice catch tray has been replaced under warranty as it came cracked. Whether this was simply a rough handling during shipping issue I cannot be sure. It remains to be seen. One thing I have noticed that is not good for me is the Ice dispenser button is behind the water. I have twice bumped the water aiming for ice and got a blast of cold water unexpectedly. This is simply because I am not careful. But it is the reason for my 4 star rating.

Although bought 5/10/22, it had to be ordered as it is your SHORTEST model. Was not installed until 7/6, but came in late June. Time factor had to do with needing a new frig that would fit the same space as my previous refrigerator as I refused to have cabinets removed in my kitchen. High had to be approximately 65" - 66" tall. Fits perfectly, is very quiet, and I must admit - it's very aesthetic to look at. Wish the internal shelves were adjustable, but door space allows for me to place gallon-size items there. Keeps food cold which is the main purpose of a frig. I have less space in the freezer than my previous frig due to the design of the ice maker space - lost some of the door space for housing frozen food. All in all, it's a very good refrig.

The reason I gave it 4 stars is that I have not gotten the ice maker hooked up yet. Fridge is working fine and keeps things cold. I had to adjust the settings and love my cold sweet tea. Freezer keeps food frozen. I would have purchased a larger one but this one fit in the space provided. Yes I would recommend a Whirlpool because they last. I have bought washer/dryer before and the lasted for years. My old fridge was a Whirlpool and it was bought in 2007 and was still going when I moved and left it in my house upon moving. I would have giving 5 stars if I had had the ice maker hooked up and saw how it ran.

This unit contains good capacity on the refrigerator side but is a little smaller on the freezer side. The only question I have is why the lower drawers and the glass covers don't appear to fit properly. The cover sometimes pulls out when the drawer is pulled out. No one was sent to help me set it up. Perhaps there is a design to follow when the drawers are installed; and I've not installed them in the correct sequence.

We ordered this item 2/21/2021 and finally received it 3/25/2021. It seems Whirlpool appliances are currently in high demand. We purchased this refrigerator as an upgrade to what came with our home 2-1/2 years ago. We’ve missed having ice and water readily available through the door. We are huge ice users and water drinkers. Having to fill a self filtering water pitcher multiple times a day got real old real fast and having to open the freezer to get ice was very inconvenient. However, the water and ice in the door feature has been a bit of a challenge for my husband. We aren’t fond of the ice dispenser being behind the water dispenser. When attempting to get ice, sometimes the water dispenser button accidentally gets pressed and we end up with water and ice when only ice is wanted. Perhaps, a side-by-side design for the water and ice features would have been a better choice. We’ve never had a side-by-side refrigerator before, so I was skeptical at first, but since it’s just me and my husband now, we figured it was a good choice for us and the space we had to work with. In preparation for the arrival of the refrigerator, I purchased clear food storage containers to help easily identify food items in the refrigerator as well as being able to utilize the refrigerator’s and freezer’s space efficiently. I love that this refrigerator has 3 storage drawers. We use one to store snacks such as yogurt and pudding and jello cups. I especially like the LED lighting. It gives off the right amount of light and makes the food look great. The freezer is working out well for us. There’s a good amount of room to store frozen dinners, veggies, snacks, etc. All in all, this refrigerator was a good purchase.

We replaced our 16 year old whirlpool refrigerator with this side by side beauty in white. It’s deeper than our previous one and a bit wider but thankfully fit in our small kitchen in our split level home. The water and ice feature is new to us and so convenient. There is plenty of room in refrigerator side but removed a glass shelf to accommodate tall items on top. Door holds enough items on the 5 shelves. The only thing that we noticed were the storage drawers getting stuck a bit. The freezer is narrow, no room for a whole turkey. Overall for my husband and I this is a perfect size and beautiful in white!! (Finger prints don’t show like stainless finishes)

Our old one was 21 years old. Still working, but icemake was broken. We decided on Whirlpool because I can get service, if needed, locally. All our appliances are now Whirlpool. It's a little louder than old one, but im sire it's because everyone has less insulation etc. Works great. Keeps food cold and the icemake spits out ice when I want it.... Life is better with Whirlpool.

Plenty of Room

For a 21.4 cu ft refrigerator, it has plenty of room for liquids and large containers for storage. It is set at manufacturers specs and the proper temperature is correct for freezing meats and ice cream. Much better spacing than our previous 21.4 LG Model. Excellent warranty and high rating. Only problem is ice and water maker is a little noisy.

I really like this refrigerator. Several favorite features are the clear glass shelves and clear plastic drawers so that you can easily see everything on the shelves. I also like the size and small square shape of the ice cubes it makes. My only slightly negative comment is that the while the you can adjust the height of the shelves in the door, the shelves in the body of the fridge itself can be placed only on tabs that are molded into the body of the interior. That means that I can put tall containers like milk cartons only on the highest shelf and some containers don't even fit there and have to go in the door. This is a minor inconvenience, but I like to keep milk, OJ, etc down lower so it's easier to get to so I had to shift them to the door.

The right size for my kitchen

I bought this refrigerator in July because my old refrigerator stopped working. Because of, I’m assuming, supply chain difficulties due to the pandemic, it was not delivered for 5 months. (I had a basement refrigerator so I wasn’t completely without refrigeration.). This new refrigerator is attractive and has the in-the-door dispenser features I like. I wish the door-mounted basket-shelves were narrower, but they’re sturdy and adjustable, which I appreciate. I also look forward to having it for a long time — every Whirlpool appliance I’ve had has lasted and lasted. May this one do so as well!

I’ve never seen one that didn’t come with one till I purchased this. Makes me nuts to have to constantly wipe it out. It’s very unsightly to see water spots on the black. Other than that the fridge is nice. Oh, it scratches easily. Ugh

We are very pleased with how this refrigerator works. Initially it would not make ice, and we discovered that the fill tube to the ice maker had frozen. I was easily unfrozen with a hair dryer, and now it works fine. There is minimal adjustments for the shelves, which is disappointing. The appearance is a major improvement over our previous refrigerator.

I bought this refrigerator because it was the largest one that would fit in the small opening in the kitchen. I was apprehensive because of reviews about it being noisy. It's a little noisier than when first purchased. I would not buy it for an "open concept" house because of the clunking noises. Have to be very careful when getting ice or get squirted with water. Also does not have adjustable shelves. Overall a good refrigerator for the price. Would buy again, but with smudge resistant front.

This refrigerator replaced an LG with similar features and capacity. It is not loud as some reviews have stated; very quiet and appears to be built solid. The freezer area is smaller than the LG because of the ice maker design, where you lose the entire top shelf for the space occupied by the ice maker. Food storage drawers are not high quality, and will most likely crack or break after a couple of years of use. The LG unit was replaced due to a failed compressor after only 4 years. Hopefully Whirlpool has a longer life for the major components of their refrigerators.

My last Whirlpool lasted 23 years with very few issues This new one has issues right off the get go. the first one is the shelves are not adjustable (a one gallon jug of milk can not stand upright on any of the shelves, secondly the ice maker /water dispenser slops water if you want to use a 30 oz containers thirdly water outlet is out to close to the front of the refrigerator front and splatters all over. The older one was much better in all categories not pleased

We are disappointed in our refrigerator. We had to replace the filter the first week we had it because the water was undrinkable. The refrigerator also leans forward just enough that when the door is open it hits the wall beside it if we don't hold onto it. The service man said that is common with Whirlpool refrigerators. We just purchased all Whirlpool appliances last month and have had a serviceman here for the refrigerator and the dishwasher so far. I am sure this wont get posted but i feel the company needs to know our experiences.

Wish it was designed differently. I went to put my 1 gallon container for tea in the refrigerator and realized I had to take a shelf out in order to make it fit. The same thing happened with a gallon of milk. I also would prefer to have both bottom drawers be able to adjust humidity temperature for fruits and vegetables but unfortunately only 1 drawer has a humidity control.

Disappointed in this unit

I bought this refrigerator less than a month ago. Unfortunately, a week and a half ago I noticed that the ice cream in the freezer was soft and that there was frost in the back. Then I noticed the ice cubes were coming out half frozen. I also saw water running down the front below the ice maker. Now I have owned this less than a month and have had to have it repaired. It will take a second repair visit to fix it properly. I have lost alot of food due to this since both sides are controlled by the freezer side. Poor quality control. Extremely upset.

Whirlpool not what it used to be

I purchased this Refrigerator expecting the same quality as Ive had in years past. the vibration noise from the condensor coil is bad. the interior fan is very laoud and vibrating as well. I called for service and they came and put a piece of cardboard in between the coil and the bottom of the refrigerator to stop the vibration of the coil on the bottom of the refrigerator as WhirlPool will not allow them to replace or fix the coil! the internal fan is not a part that can be fixed either. yes the refrigerator is running and works but the noice is NOT GOOD!

Not practical, narrow shelves, difficult to use.

I bought this refrigerator in August. It is a challenge to look for stuffs in the back and selves are very narrow. I had to take out stuffs in the front before I can find what I need. There is no room to move food to the side, so you can get what you need from the back of the fridge. It takes a long time to take stuffs out in order to get to what you need and put back all the food that you had to get out from the fridge each time. Not a good design. Do not buy.

This fridge is on the smaller side but is pretty to look at outside and inside. If you have a smaller family, it can work if you don't stock groceries. It does make a running noise that you get used to quickly. The door swings open pretty hard and fast, which makes me nervous, especially since you use the door for heavy items since they don't fit on the inside shelves. I guess you could take out one of the shelves to fix this, because there is not an adjustment for them. Right now, I am not happy with the water dispenser, the stream is so small, it takes 5 minutes to get a cup of water, going to work on water pressure to see if I can resolve. I am not fond of the size of the area to fill your cup, they don't fit there, and the place you press for water is very awkward to use, the ice is on the inner part and is not so bad.

Limited storage

I was very disappointed with this model. The store didn’t have a floor model for us to view and we needed a specific width. The shelves inside the fridge don’t adjust and none are set to hold a gallon of milk so we were forced to remove a shelf in order to store our milk. The door shelves are roomey but are way too small in the freezer and again nothing there can be adjusted. It seems to work properly at this point. Just thought Whirlpool would have done a better job on this model based on their other models.

Due to total refrigerator failure, I was forced into a rushed purchase. Because of cabinet above, I had height restriction that limited my choices to a very short list, and my need for it immediately shortened list to just this one model. Thumbs up that it fits tight spaces, and keeps my food cold/frozen. Thumbs down on layout. All milk, juice, creamer, and other taller jugs/bottles have to go in door trays. Shelves are not adjustable, and not a single one allows for taller items. My biggest pet peeve is, you can swing the door shut, and some function in the hinge will stop it from closing, and open it wide. That may be typical with all new units, but I don’t like it and annoys me to no end. I’m sure I’ll eventually will get used to it, but haven’t yet. Failure of old unit was very stressful, and after looking all over town, and many phone calls, I’m very grateful to have been able to find this unit, it being literally the only one I could get immediately that would fit my space. It seems to work well. With some tweaks to functionality, I’d give it higher rating.

Shelf Placement? This may seem like a no brainer but it is an issue. We removed the shelves and drawers of the refrigerator for cleaning and now we can’t get them back into the correct places. There is no documentation as to where to install which shelves. We have a 5 year old model and they used these plastic frames around the glass shelves…overly complicated design . We removed the upper bin to give us an extra shelf, really don’t need two vegetable bins. Wish the freezer side was bigger..it’s a pretty good unit overall..no maintenance problems over the past 5 years.

This was one of the few refrigerators available that would fit into the space I had, replacing a 25 year old Kenmore/Sears that I liked but had simply worn out. This Whirlpool is slightly more energy efficient, but it is much noisier, and it is for this reason I'm giving it only 3 stars. I should think with newer technology, it could have been as quiet or quieter than my old one. The shelves are not adjustable, but one upper drawer can be removed and stored, if you need a larger space between two of the shelves (which I have done). Otherwise, the fridge and freezer work well, the water spout doesn't drip, and the finish is easy to clean.

Sadly I’m remodeling my kitchen in six months so I needed this refrigerator to replace the same size as what I had. The most disappointing feature of this refrigerator is that it does not have adjustable shelves, except on the doors. Refridgerator is nice looking on the outside but truly the features are of a builder grade refrigerator. It lacked many features I was used to and assumed to be standard such as the humidifier draw for fruits and vegetables and a convertible meat keeper..

Some issues.

Bought unit Sept. 16, 2020. Received unit on April 8, 2021. Unit fit nicely into my space. Outside of unit was attractive. Shelving on door had several places to adjust the door shelves. The inside of the unit DID NOT have places to adjust the shelves which limited what items could be placed on the shelves. Main issue was the loud intermittent noise the unit would make. It would even wake us up at night. Service came out on April 26, 2021 and thought they fixed the loud vibration problem. Problem was not fixed and service came out again on May 3, 2021. There is a cardboard at the bottom of the unit that was touching the compressor. Service put some type of plugs in place that separated the cardboard from the compressor. As of now, the problem seems to have been fixed. I hope this is of value

This refrigerator isn’t laid out as well as my previous frig and quality is lacking. The pop on door compartment inside of doors come loose often and the ice maker is loud. And space inside freezer door is limited. I lost compartments Up top inside of door with this frig. because of ice maker. Previous frig ice bucket fit better and allowed compartments inside of door up top. I would consider another brand if had to do over but purchased a whirlpool microwave first so wanted appliances to match. Microwave is fine. Next purchase is new stove/oven.

Noisy

Had our old refrigerator for over 20 years so decided to replace it before it went out. Shopped a lot and decided we would go with Whirlpool since they have been around for a long time. Immediately after it was delivered it was making LOUD popping noises. After three ice maker replacements and a refrigerator replacement we still have a popping refrigerator. Very disappointed in our purchase.

I miss my 1999 fridge. Just saying.... Had I known that "Energy Star" ran so loud...I would have never bought this fridge. It sounds like a plane is taking off in my kitchen. Also...I have constant condensation drip from the dispenser. I turned the freezer up to level 4...I locked the dispenser...but still constant drip from up above....behind the ice and water dispensers...onto the "drip tray". I put a paper towel there to catch it. I really do not like this fridge. Very disappointed for Whirlpool.

shelves to close together

my refrigerator broke had it for over 20 years, so i may be a bit used to that one, but the shelves are to close together and had it now been for covid would have gone to a store and looked but refrigerators where hard to get delivered and there was not a big choice in store unless black or stainless, i also wanted bisque but would have had to wait for months, i actually waited for 2 months trying to find something that i liked but had to pull the plug when i could not keep the fridge cool enough anymore

Dependable fridge for the right price

I like this refrigerator for the price. I wish the stainless finish was the one that doesn’t hold onto finger prints and I wish the fridge was quieter - makes a lot of noise when making ice. The water dispenser is also too close to the ice dispenser leading to water spills and accidental discharges. But it has good space and a good layout and performs. I like it overall but It has flaws.

The description on-line is not very accurate. The Freezer side is very small and poorly laid out. The ice-maker is very noisy. Anything in the very back on the top shelf of the refrigerator freezes. I have not called for service as yet.

Purchased less than two weeks ago and am very dissatisfied! Machine is so loud I can here it running while trying to sleep. Had whirlpool service look at it and of course they say everything is fine. I'm a disabled senior citizen with very little money to spend, so now I'm stuck with this horrible machine. Will never buy a whirlpool product again...

Refrigerator was delivered on December 9. I do not think this refrigerator will last long. Very unhappy. 1. The ice maker produces very little ice. 2. Refrigerator makes a lot of noise. 3. Called for service I have to wait 18 days for service I would like to have it exchanged for another one.

Absolute garbage

This refrigerator is poorly designed and not well made. The doors are impossible to level so that they don’t open and close without swinging wildly open or slamming shut. The shelf heights in the fridge do not accommodate normal sized items. The ice maker is a pathetic mechanical device that is so bad that the manufacturer includes a QR code as a sticker inside explaining how to use it. There’s also a sticker trying to explain how to adjust the doors but its a design flaw. The unit runs constantly and ice gets trapped in the dispenser and melts.

I was suck buying this Ref. because the former owner put a cabinet above the Ref at only @ 68 inches. I didn't like the EXACT same model because the ice maker went out 3 x in a dozen years we have been here. The lights keep blinking on and off ...sometimes for days. Overall I like Whirlpool products but this special order item doesn't meet it. The new model icemaker takes up way to much space of the freezer

Top Shelf In Refrigerator Too Cold

Ever since owning it, the top shelf on the refrigerator side is significantly colder than the lower shelves. Many times my milk and other beverages have frozen on that shelf. Lowering the refrigerator temperature doesn’t help, as that leaves foods on lower shelves being too warm. My sister bought this model as well and had the same problem.

Very Noisy - Runs Constantly

This refrigerator was installed two weeks ago. It has been a major disruption in the house. It is very noisy and runs almost non-stop. The kitchen, which used to be a sanctuary, has now become an industrial job site. I would not recommend it.

My Whirlpool Side-by-Side was installed about 10 days ago. I waited well over a month for it to be delivered, and I am very unhappy with how loud it is whenever the compressor runs. It's not just a few minutes either. It goes on and on, louder than my dishwasher, washing machine and air-conditioner. Even the installer mentioned how loud it sounded, but he suggested it might lessen once it was up and running for a few days. I'm so disappointed. It's awful.

Freezer Door assembly is quarter inch higher than fridge. Even if I could balance the doors which physically I cannot.. the door balancing tool was not enclosed as indicated. The ice maker had label instructions that did not apply to the installed ice maker. The owners manual had several ice maker listed, which none of them applied. After holding for a hour on the phone, I finally get an agent and the call was dropped within 1 minute of the call. Was so very disappointed. The fridge could be high quality, but the assembly, included tools, and documents suck.

Ice maker not working

The installer did not give me a manual and all the whirlpool help videos did not help resolve this issue. I may have to apply for manufacturers warranty for replacement. Aside from the ice maker it works perfect.

bad design

I bought this fridge about 2 weeks ago and if I could have returned it I would . The outside doors are of poor quality and you can see smear marks all over it. Thank goodness I called whirlpool and the technician came up and saw the mess and suggested using WD 40 on a rag and he rubbed it in and it worked much better that the stainless steel polish which only made the smear marks worse. The shelves inside are fixed and you cannot adjust them so my taller bottles that I used to keep on the top shelf of the fridge now are place in the door which sucks.The ice maker in the freezer has no arm to stop the ice from being made so you have to let the ice fill till the top and then sit there when you really don't want or need this ice... In all my lifetime this fridge has the worst features and I'm stuck with it..I HATE IT

Unfortunately if you are tied to this or similar size you have limited options. I wish I had kept looking. The fridge is extremely loud almost all the time. The freezer is very small because much of it is taken up by the ice/water dispenser. There is no possibility of adjusting shelves. The drawers do not slide easily, and the interior plastic pieces do not give me hope they will last very well. Overall very dissatisfied.

Broke down first month

One month approximately after delivery the ice maker stopped working. Service tech was sent and with further review the unit had leaked all the refrigerant. The tech installed a new dryer with dye to aid in finding the leak has been working for about 3 weeks hoping the dryer was the leak!1
