It’s been a month since I bought this refrigerator. I am enjoying it and I always like Amana’s product. Is simple, but it works. It is easy to clean shelves, which is my favorite because the last Refrigerator I had was hard to clean. I can clean them without taking them out the refrigerator.

I bought this fridge without searching around for others. My fridge went out unexpectedly. I saw this fridge and was hooked. The interior lights are bright and the room inside is very spacious. It has way more room and storage than the old one I had. This is my best investment to date. I LOVE THIS FRIDGE!!

Ice dispenser needs a re- design. It’s not tall enough for a tumbler sized glass so crushed ice goes everywhere during dispensing. The water trigger is too close and can easily be hit while dispensing ice resulting in a little squirt of water when you don’t want it.

We bought this about a month ago because we were familiar with the brand. Works like it should. Does run a lot more then are old one did. Thought we read somewhere that the newer models do for some reason. Also, the position of the light by the water dispenser is useless. Sits way in the back and you can't see how much water you are getting if the room is dark. Other than that, so far so good.

Of the first one of this model I purchased it went back to, Thank God my reputable Menards. They arranged to take the first one back after we tried under warranty repair because the ice maker did not work. The water would freeze and block the water delivery tube. At the assurance that Menards had not found this to be a consistent problem, I again got the same model. This one does work just fine.

We've had this side-by-side Amana refrigerator less than a month; so far, so good. The ice maker and water dispenser work well. We have to keep the temperature for the freezer at the highest setting, or the ice cream gets soft. The temp for the frig is at the highest setting, also. The outside of this refrigerator is difficult to clean and keep streak-free. The drawers in the frig side could slide more easily, and we seem to be missing a shelf.

The first one we got was a floor model because they oversold and it quit cooling the refrigerator section in less than a month so obviously we were leary but Menards provided a new one free of charge and so far so good.

This does a great job as it should. I'm accustomed to my previous unit that produced ice like crazy. This model would be superior if the ice maker was combined with a metal tray. It produces ice at a slower rate and the cubes are nearly half the size I'm wanting. Otherwise, it's working fine for now.

I bought this a couple months ago and it has been great! Our old frig went out and we purchased a new frig from a big box store. Frig was supposed to be delivered in a couple days. Four days and several calls later we were in formed that it would be another 30 days before we could get a frig. That was not going to happen. We found this on sale and was delivered that day! It came as advertised! Great frig for the money. I like that the ice is made quickly and the cubes are smaller. Also came with an ice crusher! Even better! Would recommend to anyone else.

Bought month ago and have had no problems with it. I wish it had 3 drawers but for the price only one con. The water button for the water/ice pushes too easy. So when you get ice the water button is easily pushed and puts water on the floor.

Nice clean exterior lines. Great purchase for the price, practically noiseless. Seems to retain slight moisture in both compartments but no big issue. Holds temps with quick simple adjustments. A few negatives - No temperature display so had to buy thermometers and the interior refrigerator shelves do not extend all the way to the back so items could fall to lower areas. Finally crispers are the same large size, would prefer one large and one smaller in height. Would be nice if more flexibility in refigerator shelf height placements vs. the fixed five provided.

Not as loud as people were saying

Had this unit for a little over a month. Based upon reviews I thought it would be louder. Fairly quiet compared to the older LG it is replacing. Couple things I would like to see changed. The ice dispenser is located right behind the water dispenser. have issues getting ice without accidentally dispensing water. Should be side by side. Water dispenser drips about a teaspoon of water after each use. If you don't use it, it doesn't leak. Doors open and close easily and seem to seal very well. Drawers move in and out much nicer than the ones in our LG did. would have liked the ability to control temps for fridge and freezer separately but it is keeping the temps right where they should be. Very nice unit for the price. Fix the ice/water issue and you have a solid 5 star unit.

I have had this a bit over a month and a half. While I like the esthetics of it going with my other appliances, it's a bit loud. I also wish the water dispenser would have been better placed. While trying to get ice it is easily bumped and water shoots out onto the floor. I like the openness of the fridge. The freezer has lots of room. The fridge drawers seem a bit flimsy. I hope they hold up.

only Has 3 cool settings

We bought this it is a good refrigerator but it only has 3 cool settings on the refrigerator side and it only goes down to around 30 Degrees no adjustment after that and we like it to be a little colder ,But on the plus side it was cheaper than all the other refrigerators and we got Black and it is very nice looking and matches or kitchen perfectly.

I knew I wanted white and when I saw that beautiful side by side white Amana I fell in love and bought it. I love it. I am retired and live at home and spend a lot of time in my kitchen. I am so happy to have my new fridge--I grew up believing that Amana is the best.

Had to buy a new fridge at Christmas when the previous unit died after 16 years of service. The pluses are a great ice maker, lots of room, and ice and water in the door. The negative is that it doesn't have a dairy drawer. We need to buy a third party drawer to add in the dairy drawer.

So far it's been working fine and it looks good in my kitchen. There's only a couple things about it I wish were different. There's not enough options for adjusting the shelf heights. Also, the on/off switch for the ice maker is in a poor location. Having to remove the ice tray to switch power for the ice maker is a problem. All in all I'm happy with the purchase and the price was very good. When I went shopping for a refrigerator, I was specifically looking for a Whirlpool or Amana.

We're very happy with this refrigerator. It works perfectly. However, the outside of it is very hard to clean and keep smudge free. The door handle on the freezer keeps sliding up and has to be pulled down to keep even with the refrigerator handle.

I'm very happy with my fridge. I have a disability and often rely on riding a knee scooter to get around including maneuvering around my kitchen and the side by side doors make it easy for me to reach my food and frozen items. My only gripe is that the ice maker is much slower than my previous fridge. No biggie though.

Good ice maker and keeps things good and cool

Bought this because 24 year old one went out and have an old Amana ref that was in house we bought 25 years ago. The only thing we don’t like is ref door won’t stay half way open and when a person grabs something it swings the rest of way open by its self kind of hard. It’s level but the first stop half way open doesn’t seem to hold it there. The outside finish shows finger prints a lot.

Keeps everything cold and crisp, prolonging food and vegetables. I have a Samsung and this one, both do an excellent job, same size, but you can't beat the price for the size and capacity.

Exceptional quality and features for the price. Amana is somewhat well known among consumers as giving a reliable, quality product for a great price as it cuts out costs from marketing budgets and eliminating certain bells and whistles that aren't really needed. The noise level on this frig is a little higher than I've heard with several other brands. However, it's not loud enough to bother me or even notice it most times. My only complaint would be that this frig model doesn't have a deli drawer. I may dig into the Whirlpool models to find the Whirlpool version of this Amana model and examine the specs to see if I can make the Whirlpool deli drawer fit. My understanding is that Amana is to Whirlpool, what Toyota is to Lexus. Both brandings use a vast majority of the same parts and may even have same part #'s in many cases. Whirlpool would be like Lexus and Amana like Toyota. Whirlpool is the higher priced and top of the line quality, with all the luxury features, etc. when compared to Amana. Personally, I'd rather have the high quality product at the better price and then choose on my own if there's any extra bells and whistles I'd like to add or modify later on. Other than missing a deli drawer compartment, this Aman is exceptional for my needs and the price was outstanding!

Love my new refrigerator, works great. Dispenses the ice and water at a goood pace, the reviews that say it’s diffficult are just technology challenged with big fat fingers and small brains. I am blind and paralyzed and I have had zero problems since getting this fridge. I can reach almost everything except the back of the top shelf in the fridge side. The reviews complaining about the dependability and things not working, they all can’t be telling the truth. Not a chance. As a matter of fact I have a second refrigerator that just died this week. If this fridge was in stock my second would be on it’s way to me right now. The refrigerator is that good. So disregard all the whiny wimps that aren’t telling the truth. Total stuff that comes from the back end of a bull.

Really unhappy with finish on stainless steel doors. One month old and already two stains that I cannot get out. Both man made. The finish on the old frig that used a slightly oily spray was far better. ten years and no stains.

I bought this refrigerator almost a month ago, and it is working fine. It's not fancy, but it does what a fridge should do--keeps things cold and/or frozen. Small issues that might matter to some customers: 1. the motor is fairly loud when running. This may not bother everyone, but compared to our last refrigerator (Frigidaire), the Amana is noticeably louder when running; 2. the water dispenser is in an easily accessible location, but it does tend to drip a bit after dispensing water, and those drips catch the edge of the drip plate and run down the front of the fridge. This is a minor issue, but to keep the front of the fridge looking nice, I find myself wiping it up frequently because of the water drips.

Love the fridge but it rolls forward each time you open the door. There is a spot for leveler legs but non came with the appliance. The rollers are capable for leveling but that does not stop it from rolling forward. Had to try several different kinds of leveler legs before we found one that worked. It was difficult to put the leveler legs on.

This AMANA refrigerator has a huge room to pull all foods in with very economic price. I gave 4 stars because there are something missing: (1) instruction not detailed enough to understand how to operation. For example, I had difficulties in installing handles; to level up the doors; and even to get the first water out (there are 2 places from water area, one is for water, another is for ice. I thought they were from the same outlet....I hope the manual is much accurate and explanatory. No people want to check the website for further information (actually even website does not give a full information.

I've owned this refrigerator for about 2 months now. It's a good refrigerator, but I think the plastic drawers on the right side are not that sturdy. and actually quite flimsy--compared to the 1980s Amana I have in my garage. The bottom drawer does not even close right...when you push it back in, it's kind of crooked. However, anything made now in the 2020s is definitely not the same as it was made back then. Those were built to last. I'm glad that this one is, at least, more energy efficient.

No extra cost for white

We b we bought the Amana side by side about a month ago we didn't have to pay extra for all white which with all the other brands you did $500 extra we used to have a GE but the GE ice maker had no way of shutting off if you had to turn it off and this Amana automatically shuts off when the ice makers full and if you use a little bit it makes some more ice and it shuts itself off when it's still we like it it looks good looks about the same as the GED it's the same size so we're very happy with it we haven't figured out yet how to change the temperature in the refrigerator or the actually the freezer I think it is but we really haven't read the books thoroughly it's a good product

The wheel on the front right side was broken so there is wood underneath so it can be leveled and the shelves look as if it was warp but it turned out to be the rubber on the shelves is somehow stretched. When my friend asked for some ice for her cola the ice had a weird taste to it.

My Whirlpool bit the dust while I was out of town and i had to order this one off the web. I was nervous. My last one had the huge freexer on the bottom and I was worried about space. I so shouldnt have been! Tons of room, the door shelves are plenty sturdy to hold several cartons of milk, and I love the light on the water in the door at night. The crushed ice is great. So far so good, I've owned about every brand, even commercial since I also own a resturaunt. But as far as residential refrigerators go, I have spent more on used appliances, to only last a year, maybe 3 years at most. Decided the warranty was the way to go. And although I love Samsung electronics, their appliances are garbage, and that can be verified if you do your own search on reviews. I have yet to see or hear anything negative about Amana. Only time will tell, but I'm already having good feelings since I spent less, and got a great warranty to go with it.

This refrigerator looks very nice with the stainless steel finish. It's a nice size and keeps everything VERY cold. The only reason it last a star is because of the way the handles are attached, they're prone to coming off. But you can easily latch them back on. Also, occasionally the water function will turn on, even you're trying to get ice. All in all, though, a very nice fridge. No buyer's remorse here.

Our old one died and this is basically the same make and model we had before but with a different name plate. Checked the Fridge and Freezer portions for temperature and they both operate in the ideal range. Measured the daily variation and it holds in a fairly tight range. fairly quiet. Good layout, but missed the deli drawer the original had. I'd recommend seeing if you can get the deli draw when you buy it. Fortunately we kept the drawers and shelves from the original, and they fit perfectly giving us flexibility. Surprisingly fingerprint resistant which was an added plus. The Ice Maker is good. The side by side Ice/water dispenser has been replaced with a front/back - not quite as obvious, but works well and doesn't drip. Could have had a few more bells and whistles for triple the price but it does everything our family needs.

I've had this a month. Setting temperature for fridge and freezer are very simple. Shelves are adjustable so you can set how you want. Space is very adequate. My only complaints are I wish area to put glass under ice dispensers was higher my travel mug I use for water is just a little too tall. Chill water is great. My other complaint is my door handles keep moving even though they are in right position and pegs are in correct place. Seems more you open door more you have to slide back into position. Otherwise for the money it's a great fridge.

We bought this for a good price, and it's doing well. It was easy to hookup and get working. We did need to use a hammer to hit the handles down so they would clip on, and we chose to set the fridge a little colder. The ice compartment is a little large, but it works. The ice maker broke on our GE, and maybe this design works better. It's easy to move shelves, but there's wider gaps between supports in the fridge, so the shelves aren't that adjustable. We chose white to work with our other appliances. It really doesn't look like the Whirlpool model we saw in the store. It has a separate tab to press for ice and water, and doesn't have a digital display. It came with a filter, and the filter was easy to look and, and will be easy to replace. It's located below the freezer door. Water comes out quickly from the door which is nice compared to the old GE. But, the manual recommends a certain water pressure level for it to work (not a problem for us). It has been pretty quiet. You can hear the ice maker fill and dump, but I think that's normal.

So far I am satisfied with this refrigerator. The only complaint is that the whole refrigerator rolls forward too easily when you open the door(s). A brake mechanisim would be useful to prevent the rolling. Right now I have to hold one handle with one hand and open the door with the other hand so the refrigerator doesn't roll forward. I may have to put some kind of a rubber stopper under the front wheels.

Check interior closely!

2 days after fridge was delivered noticed 3 small indented cracks in fridge interior at bottom near where walls meet bottom. Looks like it probably happened when interior liner was inserted. Didn't bother to say anything at this point because it had been in our possession for 2 days. Put some super glue in the 3 cracks and then covered with water proof tape to hopefully prevent cracks getting bigger. Always check everything with a fine tooth comb before you take possession.

I replaced it and put another valve in line to slow water intake… seemed to help but cubes still freeze together.. also size matters although large , refrigerator could be a little bigger for my liking all in all it’s much better then what I had… and you get what you pay for…

It cools great but drawers in fridge are small and the ice/water despenser is too small for normal size cups and needs a bigger tray to catch water dribbles. No shelving space choices

Tried to match close as possible our old GE side by side refrigerator..but this isn't it ...the shelving spacing is not really adjustable for my needs . The manufacturers side shelf holders are oddly spaced and don't have several customer choices. The ice maker is huge in the freezer and again the shelving spacing is awful as compared to other side by side fridges of the same size. Unfortunately this fridge was not in stock or could be seen on any floor display of the appliance stores including the larger home improvement stores or I would not be so disappointed in the styling of this model

Purchased in November. The ice maker is only expected to make around 35 ice cubes in a 24 hour period. Definitely not enough, especially in summer months. Description states 4 shelves but the top of the bin is considered a shelf. Definitely needs an additional shelf,which I purchased. Purchased white which I love. The water filter is hard to push in, maybe because located on bottom of refrigerator. Not alot of interior space in freezer and refrigerator. So far everything is really cold.

I bought this 2 months ago. The motor is noisier than my last fridge. The all black dispenser for ice and water is hard to see. We can’t always find the ice lever and hit the water lever. The tray under the levers is not very deep. Water sloshes out on floor when you open the freezer. Large cups don’t fit in the dispenser completely.

This fridge is about 6 weeks old and has not quit running for more than five minutes in an hour. Runs continually and temps are very hard to control. The freezer part will het up to 15 above at times. I don’t think this fridge is going to last very long. The egg carton holder in the door is so small you can’t open an egg carton in it, like my old fridge.

Some design flaws

Largely my complaint is with the set up of the ice/water dispenser. If you have a larger cup and go to get ice first you’ll most certainly actuate the water switch sending it all over the floor. Also, after you get your water there is always a drip or two and the catch tray doesn’t extend far enough to catch thems so again, more water spilling. So many designs out there don’t have this issue so I find this to be an annoyance that I really shouldn’t have. In hindsight, I’d make a different purchase.

Overal good purchase. However after about 2-weeks o fuse the freezer door started to squeak when opening and closing. About a week later the fridge side door started to squeak also. Makes dog upset, thinks its smoke detector going off, and you dont realize how often you open and close it -very annoying. Also ice maker has never caught up, very slow. I did remove most things from door, thinking weight in door, did not make a difference.

Fridge is ok ice maker is slower than my last one. Biggest complaints are whatever the spray in the doors for insulation oozed out of the corners of the doors and stuck to the sides. The protective film that they put on the doors was pinched in on the sides so it was very difficult to remove. My biggest complaints is the Amana emblem was glued on crooked very disappointing.

Fridge is good for 2 person household

I bought this fridge under duress as my 30 yo Amana was breathing last breath. I am not thrilled with this model. The right side door needs adjusting as it flies open and hits cabinet. There is a large gap in the center of the fridge; this is suggested area for soda; I would prefer to have another shelf. This fridge does not have a deli drawer; there are two drawers below, one of which is a half drawer. My suggestion before purchasing a fridge is to go to the store and see it in person; seeing printed dimensions is not a sufficient visual. It is also not cut and dry as to adjusting the temperature for freezer and fridge; should be a no brainer! Cleaning is also an issue; you can't use paper towels or ANY CLEANING products as it can mess with the coating and it can rust. The appliance guide suggests mild soap, but does not tell you specifically which one. I like the ice and water dispenser as it does not have a lot of bells and whistles which can break.

Nice fridge and keeps stuff cold and frozen. Quiet operation. Adequate shelving and space. The handles slide on and do not tighten down. About every third time either side is opened the handle comes off. Getting scratches on the doors from sliding the handles back into place. Fingerprints on the fridge are another nuisance. Overall a good unit.

We were able to get the ice machine to work, but occasionally the ice will get stuck in the drop-down section. Good product for the price

I bought this last month to replace my previous refrigerator from the same manufacturer. I had to order online without seeing it because I needed a fridge to fit in the space & there were none at the store. If I had seen it, I would have purchased a different model with easier to use features. The ice maker is at the top of the freezer, where my previous one was in the middle. Because if this it is difficult to remove to ice container & it is difficult to access the on/off switch at the bottom of the ice maker. The water filter is at the bottom of the refrigerator on the floor, which makes it very difficult to change the filter! You have to practically lay on the floor to change the filter. The doors swing open 180 degrees, so they hit the cabinets, but I think there is a way to fix this, I just have to figure it out. I have also had a hard time keeping the temperatures consistent. My freezer has ranges from -8 to 32 & the fridge has ranged from 23 to 49. I have digital thermometers, so I can keep adjusting the temperature controls.

Not the best or worst refrigerator we’’ve ever had

This model came with a new home build, we’ve been in the house for 5 weeks now. It looks good but we are waiting for a repair person as everything freezes even at the lowest setting. Called at week 3, took 3 additional weeks to get a repair person here. The ice/water dispenser are to close to each other and when you push for ice, many times you’ll end up leaning on the water resulting in a mess on the floor. This model wasn’t my first choice but I’m guessing it was the builders cheapest choice.

Can’t remember how many times I’ve pushed on ice and slightly touched water with the result of water all over the floor. One month in and finding all the items on the top shelf freeze, freezer temp turned down as far as possible, still frozen milk and eggs. Can’t use top shelf. They’re coming to service it in<one month of ownership. Hopefully they’ll solve the freezing issue. TBD…

Lifetime of Amana

Any refrigerator that I've ever owned has been an Amana. I bought this one about 6 weeks ago. It came with a "birth defect" in that the freezer door doesn't close all the way because of an improperly installed door gasket. A service man came a week later and confirmed this upon his inspection and said he would be ordering a new door as there's no way to replace the seal. That was now over a month ago. The product seems to work as I always expect an Amana to, but I am disappointed that this problem has not been resolved. For this reason, no I would not recommend this fridge.

This is a beautiful looking refrigerator! It is working very well except that it runs noisier than our previous 25 year old side-by-side refrigerator/freezer. Three weeks in and the ice maker has still not been able to get the ice bin full, even after being out of town for 4 days. Lastly, we knew when we purchased this unit that it did not come with deli drawer. However, we have learned we miss having one very much. Buying one to add, is very expensive.

We have had this fridge for about a month. It's super cold, I like the ice and water dispenser on the front of the door. The handles were not installed fully, my husband finally looked after I kept opening the fridge and the handles would come off almost every time- you have to push them down almost with a malot past the little locking mechanism. The only other issue we're having is that the filter at the bottom of the fridge vibrates so loudly against the fridge itself. I've tried stuffing a towel under it, but it barely helped. After spending a decent amount of money I'm not overly excited about this fridge but it keeps things frozen in the freezer and cold in the fridge.

First, I'm surprised at how loud it is. I expected better from a new refrigerator. Second, the ice maker takes up a big chunk of the freezer. My bad for not noticing this, but I would look for the type where the ice is actually stored in the door. Finally, the ice/water dispenser in the door. It's a clever design where the water lever is up on top, and the ice lever down and in. But unlike any previous refrigerator I've ever used, this one does not have a "one or the other" feature. So while you are getting ice you can easily hit the water paddle and spill water everywhere.

I wish I'd done more research on this item, however I needed a new refrigerator in kind of an emergency. My disappointments include where the water dispenses, always hitting that button when attempting to get ice, resulting in water on the floor. Also very little room to get a glass or travel tumbler in there for ice. Handles feel cheap, not solid like my old one, handles wiggle around, squeak. And hate the fact that every finger print shows, even after trying every cleaner/polish available.

Poor Design... try and get ice out of the dispenser and be careful not to hit the water nozzle, which is in front of the ice dispenser, especially if you have a larger glass or you'll be mopping the floor. Never would have bought it had I'd known this. Usually ice and water are beside each other. Plus, it's stainless steel and now starting to show some rust. It's only a few years old.

I bought this Amana refrigerator because mine was fried from Hurricane Milton. Unable to research reviews, I went off looks and desperation alone. This has got to be the worst design I've ever owned. I haven't owned it a month and it's already starting to rust on the door. The ice maker barely produces any ice and I'm kicking myself in the butt for picking a refrigerator that has a water button just below the ice dispenser.. Seriously, When you fill the cup with ice, the cup hits the water button and water runs down the door and makes a mess all over the floor.

I had to replace my fridge and dishwasher on the same weekend. The price of Amana’s fridge and the fact that I already own an Amana product is why I went with the fridge. Almost immediately we realized there was not a cheese drawer and most importantly the compressor is loud and hardly turns off. We used a magnet abc toy on our last fridge and within three days the same toy made big permanent scratches. I like how the door for the ice machine is cut out. If it wasn’t for money I would have returned this fridge.

Horrible freezer door design

This refrigerator has a horrendous front water and ice dispenser design. The cutout is too small for a standard glass and when trying to get ice in a tumbler, it is completely worthless. Half of the time water will spray down the outside of your glass when trying to get ice because of the front and back design placement of the water and ice. The refrigerator works, which is why it’s not getting a 1 star review, but I would choose almost any other refrigerator over this one if I could fit any other fridge in my kitchen’s refrigerator cut out.

36 Hours Before the Noise Became Too Much

I bought this slightly over a year ago. The refrigerator cools and freezer works just fine. HOWEVER,, the ice maker and the door water dispenser are THE SLOWEST ON THE PLANET. Takes an entire week to fill with ice even when not taking ANY ICE OIT. And the water flows out the dispenser very slowly. Would not recommend buying. And I have checked the water lines and filter and everything is clear. Not sure why it is this way. Would LOVE IT if it could be fixed somehow?? Can you help Ammana?

They did everything they could to cheapen the product. They took a once good ice maker and supply system to a very slow and reduced quantity. You can not fill a water bottle with ice without hitting the water delivery tab so water runs on your bottle and makes a mess. They reduced the storage in the freezer section both in the door and over the ice maker. The refrigerator section lacks a drawer for small items like cheese or spreads.

This refrigerator came with my new home. It is average at best. It is the noisiest appliance in the house. The fruit and meat drawers do not regulate the moisture, and I’ve lost tons of fruit that wilted. The freezer is tiny, so I’m glad I kept my freestanding freezer. I do not recommend this appliance.

Slow ice maker

We bought this on Oct 12 and started using it right away. The refrigerator runs well but the ice maker is extremely slow. I have tried to make it make more ice by making sure the freezer is cold enough. We would gladly return the unit if we could and replace it all because of the ice maker.

Affordable fridge with small issues

This fridge looks nice and is affordable. However, while it appears large on the outside, it lacks sufficient space inside. From the very first day, the fridge has been making a rattling noise. I submitted a warranty service request four weeks ago, but the service provider has been very slow in responding, repeatedly postponing the appointment, and I am still waiting for the service.

We bought this refrigerator with our first home on 12/21/2022. First of all it took weeks to get delivered. The ice maker does not always work properly and it does leak. We maintain it well, however, it now will it work! Good thing we bought the extended warranty because now my food spoiled and we are waiting for a technician to fix a “newer refrigerator”!!! Low quality, poorly made, money pit box!!! DO NOT RECOMMEND!!!!

The Worst!

This is the worst fridge I have purchased. The ice maker is junk. We have only had it 5 months and already needed it serviced. If it DOES make a few pieces of ice, they get jammed as they come out and if you don't pay attention, they melt in the dispenser and then ruin your hardwood floor with all the water. I had to put a run in front of the fridge just to save my floors. The water dispenser is SO awkward!!!! Try to get ice and you will hit the water button and then get water on you and the floor. The fridge itself is fine per the size and how it cools. But the ice and water features are WORTHLESS.

Refrigerator and freezer cools fine, but have had issues with ice maker making noise since first month of purchase. Have had warranty repairman out twice to correct. Last time he stated it was water pressure causing water to freeze up by the condensor which was causing the noise. He removed a big chuck of ice out from behind the freezer panel. At that time we also turned down the intake valve to reduce the water pressure. That was about 3 weeks ago. Thought that would correct the problem, but did not. Freezer started making noise again today. Should not be having so many issues on a new refrigerator. I question the engineering on at least this particular model. #AS12575GRB08 Service calls have been covered under Amana's service provider for first year. I am now glad we purchase additional warranty coverage from Menards when we purchased. At this point I would not recommend this particular model.

NEW PRODUCT is costing me time an money!!!

1)I had this product for a few weeks. The ice an water (so I am told) has calcium (visable calcium) when the ice melts. I bought it to filer the water, what it filters I dont know I could just drink tap water an not have a filter at all, the price would have been different. Second this a new product , I have had to have repair person come out 3 times an look at the ice maker. 2) the product doesnt sit leval ( it rocks) . I have to have a repair person come look at that. I did not know that the deliver person had put paper under the unit to stop it from rocking. I told the repair person that looked at the ice maker an that person put a wedge under it. I have to take more time to have that repaired ( time is MONEY!)

Don’t do it

I bout this item in September and it runs constantly. It’s loud and vibrates the floor. The ice maker has never worked right and the drawer that came cracked still hasn’t been replaced. The only thing that has given me more trouble this. This fridge is container service. Good luck scheduling a service.

Stopped working in 13 months

This fridge came new with my home. It worked fine until recently, when the defrost function stopped working. Now my fridge barely gets down to 60 degrees. This is completely inexcusable from an appliance that has been used for only 13 months. Of course, it fails right after the warranty expires.

New does not always mean better!

After enjoying an all Amana kitchen since 2005, my refrigerator died and I replaced it with the same side by side with the same ice maker/door water features but I am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY with the new one for these reasons: It runs almost constantly and is very noisy. I can hear it running 40 feet away in master bedroom! It does not keep ice cream hard,(even tho' temp is set to coldest position), frost appears on the food within days (like it has defrosted and refrozen), the freezer shelves don't go all the way to the back wall so packages drop down to the next level, and holds less food, the door water dispenser tab is out beyond the drip tray and I have to keep a plastic container under it to catch drips which come even though I don't use the feature. My old Amana was wonderful, but this one is a huge disappointment that I am stuck with as I cannot afford to buy another side by side. Why is the quality so poor now when the older model was great in every way...including hard ice cream and no constant "whirring" running noise?

Stupid design…no drawers…

What a stupid mistake i made. Who ever hear of a refridgerator that has no drawer for cheese, cold cuts, etc. it comes with just 3 shelves. Pure stupidity, will take the loss on restocking fee i guess and send this thing packing. It also had scratches that cold not be seen under the film covering until it was removed.

This fridge lasted a little over a year before multiple parts decided to fail at once (relay switch and condenser fan). During the ownership period, I had several issues with food freezing in different areas of the fridge and a leaking water dispenser that ended up staining the stainless steel. Will never buy an Amana appliance again.

I don’t really prefer a side by side fridge to begin with and this one is not an exception to that. But my biggest issue is with how the drinking water is set up so that the spout for it will drip and the drops are not caught on the catch plate. They constantly drip on my wooden floors and I have to be wiping up water drops from the floor anytime it is used. I tried putting a paper towel on the edge of the plate but it does not seem to be helping much. Also since it has dripped when I haven’t noticed or when my kids didn’t notice there is a noticeable water line down the front of the fridge that appears I can’t remove now. I have only had the fridge for a little over a month

I bought my Amana refrigerator 7 weeks ago, and the defrost sensor already went out. I had to be without a refrigerator for 2 weeks to be able to get it repaired under warranty. That is an unacceptable time frame!

Garbage, and does not last

I purchased this fridge less than a year ago. 3 weeks ago the ice machine went out on the unit. This morning, I go to get something from the fridge and it's luke warm. I check the thermometer I keep in my fridge and it shows 50 degrees. I try adjusting the temp to see if it would kick on and nothing. I unplug the unit and to get it to reset and nothing. After 2 hours the freezer kicks on but the fridge side is blowing warm air out.
