This Summit Appliance built-in ice maker delivers up to 60 lbs. of clear ice cubes daily and stores up to 33 lbs. in its cold-protected bin. The unit measures 17.75 inches wide and fits standard under-counter installations at 32.5 inches tall, adjustable to 34.75 inches for flexible placement.

Features include selectable ice cube sizes (small, medium, or large), an internal pump for installation flexibility, and an auto defrost system to reduce maintenance. The removable ice bucket enables quick cleaning. UV and LED lighting illuminate the interior when the door opens, helping eliminate germs and ensure cleaner ice.

The integrated stainless steel door frame accepts full overlay panels (recommended dimensions: 28 1/16" H x 17 11/16" W) to blend seamlessly with cabinetry. An internal pump eliminates the need for external drainage in some configurations, though a drain connection is required.

This unit complies with California Health and Safety Code 116876 and NSF/ANSI/CAN 61-2022 standards for lead safety. The environmentally friendly design uses no ozone-damaging chemicals.

Brand Background

About Summit Appliance

Summit Appliance Logo

Summit Appliance, a division of Felix Storch, Inc., has operated out of the Bronx, New York since 1969, carving out a distinctive niche in specialty refrigeration that sets it apart from mainstream appliance manufacturers. The company's catalog on Fridge.com encompasses 907 active products, reflecting an unusually broad range of specialized cooling solutions. Rather than competing in the standard kitchen refrigerator market, Summit focuses heavily on commercial and specialty categories—the brand offers 161 upright freezers, 153 kegerators, 153 beverage centers, and 78 built-in units, alongside 161 french-door models. This distribution reveals a manufacturer deeply invested in foodservice, hospitality, and medical applications rather than typical residential needs. ADA-compliant models like the CT661WADA compact freezer demonstrate Summit's commitment to accessibility requirements, while units like the SBC15NKCSS kegerator highlight their strength in beverage dispensing equipment. With products carrying an average rating of 3.7 out of 5, Summit Appliance occupies the mainstream tier but serves markets that premium residential brands often overlook, making it a go-to source for undercounter installations, laboratory storage, and commercial beverage applications where specialized dimensions and compliance certifications matter most.
