Gathering the reviews
We continuously collect owner reviews and public discussions from major retailers and community forums, de-duplicate them, and set aside anything we can’t tie to a verified purchase.

Averaged across every source we found (Amazon, AJ Madison, and other retailers). Each source counts in proportion to how many ratings it has, so a store with thousands of reviews moves the number more than one with only a handful.

What owners talk about most
“We are enjoying our new fridge. It's pretty easy to find and organize things. Things stay cold, there's plenty of room, and it looks good. I wish the shelves were a little more adjustable but I knew they were like this going in. Also i think it's supposed to be fingerprint-resistant, but my kids get full, visible handprints on it, every day. My main complaint is that the front surface is not magnetic. I had wanted my kids to be able to continue using their magnets on it. I had even called LG and asked if it was magnetic, and I was told it was. It's not AJ Madison's fault, but it's disappointing.”
Owners Answer
The questions shoppers ask, answered from real owner reviews and discussions across the web — not the manufacturer spec sheet. See the spec FAQ below for the official numbers.
The refrigerator has a capacity of 25.5 cubic feet. Owners consistently praise the spaciousness and ease of organization, highlighting the flexible door shelves, well-organized vegetable and fruit drawers, and accessible bottom freezer compartments. Many reviewers note that everything is easy to find and reach, and several appreciate the adjustable upper door shelves that accommodate larger items.
Yes, multiple owners report that this model operates very quietly. Several reviewers specifically note it is noticeably quieter than their previous refrigerators, with one comparing it favorably to a much louder competing brand. One owner mentioned they can barely tell it's plugged in.
Owners report that this model keeps produce and food fresh for longer than their previous refrigerators. Several reviewers specifically praise how well it maintains freshness and temperature consistency, with one noting that their previous fridge barely kept produce for a few days while this one keeps it beautifully. The bottom freezer design is also appreciated for easy access to frequently-used items.
Compressor failure is the most frequently reported problem, with multiple owners experiencing compressor issues between 2 and 5 years of ownership. Many reviewers note this appears to be a known issue with the model. While some units have been repaired or replaced under warranty, the pattern of early compressor failure is a significant concern that recurs across numerous reviews.
Warranty service response times vary significantly. While some owners report quick repairs (within 1–2 hours), others have experienced lengthy delays—including waits of 2+ weeks without a functioning refrigerator and one case requiring 44 days for a proper repair. Several reviewers express frustration with the time required to schedule and complete repairs, even when the unit is under warranty.
The door opens from the right side only and cannot be easily reversed without hardware that LG should provide. One owner noted that LG did not send the required hardware to change the door orientation, which was a significant inconvenience for their kitchen layout.
Some owners report ice maker problems, including cubes that taste like chemicals or plastic, the unit making only partial ice and then dispensing water instead, and complete failure to produce ice. However, these issues appear in a minority of reviews; many other owners report the ice maker works well and is a valued feature.
While the refrigerator is marketed as fingerprint-resistant, at least one owner reports that their children leave visible handprints on it daily. The finish may resist some fingerprints but does not eliminate them entirely, particularly with frequent contact.
