Brand Background
About Hamilton Beach
Hamilton Beach, founded in 1910 and headquartered in Glen Allen, Virginia, has built its reputation primarily through small kitchen appliances but maintains a notable presence in the refrigeration market. Operating as a publicly traded company under Hamilton Beach Brands Holding Company, the brand positions itself firmly in the value tier, making cold storage accessible to budget-conscious consumers. Fridge.com currently tracks 52 active products from Hamilton Beach, with the catalog skewing heavily toward freezer solutions—14 chest freezers and 9 upright freezers represent nearly half of the lineup. The brand also offers 10 counter-depth refrigerators, 8 french-door models, and 6 ice makers, demonstrating broader ambitions beyond compact units. Products like the HBF1770 french-door refrigerator and the HBIC3000-SSRED ice maker reflect this expanded range. While Hamilton Beach may not compete with premium appliance manufacturers on features or finishes, the brand delivers straightforward refrigeration options for apartments, dorm rooms, garages, and secondary storage needs where affordability takes priority over advanced technology.
