Great Price and Free Shipping
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
So far so good. have had it plugged in for 15 days now, very (VERY) quite and fills the space perfectly. great size - lots of room for all the man cave stuff.. The space under my counter was intended for a dishwasher but it's actually a second kitchen in my home and never intended to put in a dishwasher - and this fridge fits perfectly in the same location. Not sure if this site always offers free shipping but they did when I purchased this mini fridge. Shipped from New Jersey to Utah, took 16 days from purchase to front door delivery, the outer box had some minor damage but the delivery driver helped me un-box it to ensure there was no damage to the mini-fridge. Very happy, no tax and free shipping. I have told many of my friends about this site now mainly because of the prices. I looked up my current whirlpool counter depth stainless steel refrigerator that I bought a local store, on sale with a military discount and this site has for a $1000 less (Whirlpool WRS571CIDX). I wish I would have known about AJ Madison.com when I was shopping for appliances a few years ago. I will always check here before buying any other appliances. Very Happy.

Customer photo 1Nice compact fridge
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
We just installed this compact refrigerator today but I already love it. It's a perfect size for our basement family/entertainment room. It's attractive with the black trim and stainless door. I was surprised how many items I can fit into the refrigerator. The feet were easy to adjust, and all we had to do was unpack and plug in. We were able to carry the refrigerator without trouble. It's a nice weight - not to heavy or not too light. I like that the door open direction can be changed if necessary. We haven't done that yet, but we may. The refrigerator has a small freezer and a small ice tray. I actually think two regular size ice trays would fit. Three coldness settings should cover whatever we need to store. I have other GE appliances and have been satisfied with them.

Customer photo 1Great size and function
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I love the size and function. You can't beat it for the price. Glass fronts are popular today, but unless you are cooling strictly bottles and cans, you don't necessarily want everything visible. I still prefer a stainless steel front. I also like that there is a small freezer for ice.

Customer photo 1Perfect in every way!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I love this fridge for our master bedroom coffee station and snack bar. I picked the white color vs stainless steel for a more bright and airy look. It’s so roomy and has a cute ice tray for the freezer. I love how bright the light is inside to see everything clearly. It’s super quiet! It came packaged really well and overall I’m very happy with the fridge! I can’t wait to fill it up! I have a five year old so it’s nice to keep fruits and healthy snacks ready for him when we are upstairs. Also I plan to have a second kid, so this will be much easier to store breast milk in rather than having to go downstairs to my kitchen fridge everytime.

This fridge fit the bill perfectly for our small bar area. Fit and finish are great. We only have two gripes; the freezer does not get super cold as in it will freeze ice but barely. The other is that the compressor is louder than expected.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
We have just had it a week and we are loving it so far. It's beautifully made. We went for the 6 cubic. Our son had a great idea ...He knows I don't use the dish washer. I have been washing dishes by hand for yrs now and besides my dishwasher was broken for yrs. So honey replaced it with this GE mini frig. And it fits perfectly in the spot where the dishwasher was. The ice trys are so cute and small... I LOVE IT!!!! I just hope it will last us a long time.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
We bought this frig for our wet bar in a new home build. Blends well with the other SS and built in appliance. Cleans easily and holds a steady temperature. Only 2 issues, that may or may not impact your purchase: 1. The gap in the front under the door (to the floor) is quite noticeable if you have a larger open space in front of the frig. You can see the lower portion of some part of the cooling system (maybe the drain pan?). Not bad, just something that catches your eye. We had our builder install a piece of trim, just tall enough to deflect the view, but not block air circulation. 2. There’s a rack in the door for soda cans, but it’s awkward to use & assumes you have all one type of canned drinks. Wasted space in my book. It would be more flexible with normal door racks.

GE 5.6 Mini Refrig. Great, Freezer NOT SO Great ;(
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
The GE on the counter mini fridge is an excellent selection. It has a clean appearance, which goes with any cabinet selection. It gets extremely cold and allows easy access.. The reason I gave it a four star is because of ongoing issues with the Freezer that must be thawed out at least every two months otherwise you end up with A huge iceberg, and the freezer becomes useless. At that point to reserve your items, you can put them on the top shelf and they’ll be half cold, if not frozen. The items in the refrigerators would have to go on the top shelf and not inside the freezer because of the major ice buildup

Perfect fit for what I needed.
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
My old refrigerator had broken down, and I had medicine that needed to be kept cold right away. I didn't have time to order a full size fridge and wait days for it to be delivered, so I went to my neighborhood hardware store and asked if they had a small fridge. They had the GE 5.6 cubic feet white mini fridge, and I took it home. In a matter of minutes, I unpacked it and plugged it in to immediately start getting cold. It is small enough to fit in my utility closet, but big enough to hold essential items.

Second Fridge in three years
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
This is my second fridge in three years. Purchased the added coverage (3 years!) It is very large and is expected store a couple pony kegs as I get ready for a BBQ. Of course the fridge bit the dust two weeks before the party so I had to purchase a new one. They no longer have them in stock in store so had to have it drop shipped. There really isn't any other fridge like it on the market. Excited to see if we can maximize the most out of this one!

Almost the perfect fridge
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
After months of waiting, the fridge was finally delivered. It was easy to install and fit perfectly...the advertised dimensions were spot on. The fridge holds just about everything we expected it to hold. The only problem we have is that freezer compartment doesn't get cold enough to make/store ice which was one of the feature that made it stand out. We have not yet had an opportunity to address this with GE so maybe there's a simple fix...but there's nothing in the manual that addresses this other than to raise the temperature of the entire unit which we have done.

Spacious for its size
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
We've only just installed this fridge but it seems to be running as advertised and keeping temp at chosen setting. It is not noisy but still wish it were a little quieter since it's in a sleeping area. It seems solid and has the feel of a larger model, but still perfect for an undercounted model. I wish the door did not dedicate space to cans, but left shelves longer.

Awesome Compact Frig!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I got this to replace a GE Dishwasher that I never used. It fit perfectly into the dishwasher space! It also matches all my other GE appliances in my kitchen. I use it mostly to keep drinks out of my big fridge. You have plenty of space to put drinks, fruit, and the veggie drawer is nice, you can keep quite of bit of stuff in there. I took it out though to add more space for drinks. :) The great thing about this fridge is that it when you just glance at it you'd think it was a dishwasher. Friends are always surprised to find out its a fridge.

Overall I am happy with the purchase, this is the biggest under counter fridge I found. The only I don’t understand is why it has half of the door reserved for can drinks..waste of space in my option. It’s also a bit noisy.

Selected this unit because is had a White Exterior and a White Interior. We did not want Stainless Steel or Black!!! Not very happy about the bins in the bottom. I need more storage for Bottles, Sodas, and Beers. Could not arrange the shelves to make good use of the Bin Area, even if removing the bins. Unit appears to chill drinks very well!! PLUS...

Very pleased with this mini-refrigerator; using it in a small studio apartment, and it's perfect because it's small outside and big inside; really like the design and attention to detail as well as the freezer, the solid functionality, and the many features. It's still pretty new, but working very well.

AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
I purchased mine about two months ago from a sale/scratch and dent section. It was just a floor model and with a few small dents but I got it for a good price and this was for a basement bar area. With two young children, those dents would have showed up anyway in a few months. The only two things I would change would be to add a lock on the door and the freezer space could be a little larger. Overall I’m happy with the product

We love that is light weight, design specs were perfect for when we have the specs to our contractor - so it fits like a glove under the counter-top. Wayyyy more spacious inside than I thought. Great compact fridge!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I’m really happy with this fridge. The price point is excellent and GE created a great under-counter fridge with maximum cubic storage area that rivals its much more expensive counterparts from other brands. I was a little reluctant initially about the wire supports on the interior of the door and thought it might be a bit flimsy but they are actually pretty durable and very functional. I use this as a primary fridge for a studio apartment and I installed it on a countertop so that I could pace a drawer cabinet below. It’s a very compact kitchen so having storage below with this refrigerator at reach-in height really maximized the space. I had a compact 24” full size refrigerator before and although I compromised on freezer storage, this fridge is perfect for my needs. We also love that the stainless door is magnetic! Very happy with this purchase.

A lot more space than expected.
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
I like this, but there's a strong smell of food, when I open the door. Since the refrigerator is brand new, I know that it's working properly. I just don't ever recall normal sized refrigerators having such strong smells upon opening. Maybe the space is smaller, so the scents can't dissipate as quickly. Also, I wish the freezer portion were just a little larger and had a door instead of a flap. But I'm still able to fit a decent amount of items in it.

Excellent quality: i’ve only had this fridge for about a month but so far it’s working great. At the the cool setting it keeps it at approximately 38° and at cold it keeps it at approximately 34° and at coldest it keeps it at about 28 to 32° and it freezes ice.

Nice Small Refrigerator
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
We really like the small GE refrigerator. It seems to be well built, has glass shelves, a crisper container, and plenty of door storage. It also has an interior light which many small units do not have. The only negative is that the refrigerator is slow cooling down initially and also when I add several items at one time. I just put a watermelon in the refrigerator and even after 24 hours, it has not completely cooled down. The compressor comes on, stays on for a few minutes, and then cuts off. After about 30 minutes the cycle repeats. I guess the compressor running is cut short to allow the cool air to circulate in the refrigerator. Once it cools down everything is OK. I have thought about contacting GE about this feature to see if anything can be done to speed up the cool down.

AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I bought this mini fridge to fit an existing cabinet space. While it took two people to unload, I was able to remove the packaging and put the fridge in place. Levelling it is also very easy. I paid a little more for the stainless and am glad I did. The fridge is well-designed and is perfect for our carriage house guest room.

The compressor fan did not work after being installed and we did not know it until the freezer was freezing up and melting getting water in the refrigerator. We had to have a repairman come fix which was a quick fix and has worked fine since then. The freezer in this unit is way too small for any use and should be eliminated from the refrigerator.

GE Enenergy Star Compact Refrigerator Review
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
Nice refrigerator. Fit perfectly under the counter. Main complaint, the motor cycles on too much and it is too loud even at the normal setting. And that's with no food stored in it. Not sure I would have purchased it knowing that beforehand.

Frustrating.
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
First example arrived with a dented door. Retailer replaced complete unit because replacement doors were out of stock. Product meets my expectations for functionality and performance, so far. One issue has been the warning label affixed to the cabinet above the door (which duplicates the warning label on the protective film on the door that is to be removed by the customer): It is almost impossible to remove this label without damaging the finish on the cabinet and leaving a dull film of the adhesive. The secondary label is totally unnecessary!!!

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
I bought this model in 2016 as an under counter option for my studio space. Several months ago the unit starting freezing everything in the fridge section. No adjustments to the temperature controls makes a difference. I am not sure if this is worth repairing since the unit wasn’t that expensive to begin with. Should I invest in getting it repaired?

AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
I ordered this as a replacement to our undercounter bar fridge. It fits fine, but is very overpriced for what you get. It is basically the same thing they sell for college dorm room, except 4x the price. No concerns with the quality, however.

Perfect size for under counter fridge
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
We replaced an old dishwasher on our lower level with this great under counter fridge from GE. We chose GE for the quality of service offered on appliances. It is spacious and attractive and works great as a drinks fridge or for overflow from our main kitchen fridge, but it doesn't function as a real freezer. It doesn't even freeze the tiny ice cube trays it came with. Also the fan wasn't functioning properly at initial delivery so it had to be fixed.

Not Thrilled
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
We purchased this fridge primarily for use as a beverage cooler and other small items. It works, but we have had some issues. Things shifted in the during the delivery and it sounded like a lawn mower. We were able to address that and were pleased. Until the drip pan overflowed. It is difficult to regulate the temperature. The door does not seem to seal tightly which may be the main culprit. However, the small freezer section is either frozen solid, or liquid and thus running over onto the food below.

Seems to work great but wonky shelf layout
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
The door shelves are really unusable with a wire bar that lets bottles slide through which means you have to put everything on the glass shelves which also don't have a wonderful layout... If you buy this for the additional size, keep in mind the door shelves are pretty useless.

Only thing is that your design of shelf height is poor. With all the shelves in it falls short of standard height for things like juice and milk containers. You would have thought someone would have looked at this during design phase.

HOT POINT REFRIGERATOR HPS15BTHMRWW HEIGHT IS LOW AND IT IS SUGGESTED TOP SHELF SHOULD HAVE ONE INCH MORE HEIGHT SO THAT TWO YOGURT OR OTHER THINGS IN ROUND CONTAINERS 34OZ EACH CAN BE PLACED ONE OVER THE OTHER. Customer photo 1Looks are Amazing. Usage NOT Amazing
AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
Wonderful concept. It really appears to be a professional unit especially when installed under a counter. It quickly becomes the star of the show amoungst the other appliances. However it appears to be all show and no go. Poorly thrown together freezer section where ice trays set. Just looking at that section inside makes me think " old camper fridge" while the rest looks modern. I would have been more then happy if that section was deleted and move the cooling part to the back and sides out of site and also out if the danger it faces Everytime it freezes up which is all the time. It becomes a hazard to it's self and others as we all know no matter how many times we tell each other to never use a metal object or shart or any object to remove the ice. Very few people have time nor the Patience to watch ice melt. With this unit one poke and it's curtains. The cooling part is so thin and simple I would not be surprised if a piece of ice punchured it

Fridge does not cool
AJ Madison · 1 out of 5 stars
This fridge will not stay cool. We noticed that a carton of milk had spoiled so we bought a temperature gauge to test it out. With nothing inside, it never gets colder than 50 degrees so we had GE service come out to look at it. The technician told us it's working perfectly. He said when the ambient temperature outside of the fridge is higher, the fridge will not cool as well. Am I ridiculous to assume my fridge will keep food at a safe temperature regardless of what the temperature is outside of the fridge? We have another mini fridge that is over 10 years old from a no name brand that we have never had any issues with. We assumed GE was a dependable brand and that is the reason why all of our appliances are GE. But this has left a bad taste and has us shopping for a replacement elsewhere.

We have only had this fridge for a couple of months. This refrigerator does not keep anything cold despite having the fridge on the coldest setting. Very Loud and should delete freezer for an extra
AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
I have a complete GE Monogram kitchen we love and thought it would be good to have a matching compact refridgerator for my home office to replace an older unit that died. Unit looks good and has real stainless steel front panel but unit is much louder than my older unit and the freezer section is a waste of space. (My older unit had another shelf for drinks vs. freezer) Looks good but for the extra money you pay for this fridge it should be quieter and better organized inside for efficiency and not just a fancier door. Not sure if its the new type of refridgerant used or the NEW owners of GE Appliances that changed the compressors to save money but if you want a quiet unit this is not it.

AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
I got this unit to replace a smaller one that just wasn't big enough to hold what I needed it to. It worked fine for about a week and then just stopped cooling. Considering I do appliance repair for a living I investigated and determined that the thermostat was sticking open. Rather than drag someone in my house to have this fixed under warranty, I instead ordered the thermostat online and replaced it myself. The unit is now working like it is supposed to, but I am disappointed that I had to fix a brand new refrigerator in the first place.

Good Performance & Price vs. Poor Design & Finish
AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
Why I didn't rate this refrigerator 5-stars: (1) The cooling fan blade was ill fitting and made a horrible racket while running. The problem was easily solved by removing the back panel and spending about 30 minutes trimming the plastic fan blade edges with a small file. Refrigerator is now very quiet. (2) The stainless steel panel on the door looks like somebody repeatedly bounced a soft rubber ball off the door during their work break. Only obvious with a light shining from the side -- but I DID notice without making a point of looking for the dimples. (3) Interior plastic is flimsy. Objects falling out of the door racks, like bottles of beer, will crack the interior plastic at the bottom of the refrigerator. Mitigated with a few strips of white Gorilla tape. (4) Gallon jugs of milk do not fit anywhere in the refrigerator, except when placed on their side. If glass shelf spacing had been 1" more, there would be no issue. As it is, the adjustable shelf must be removed to accommodate upright milk jugs. (5) The interior door design is unpardonably bad. Bottles and cans, if they fit at all, easily fall out of the wire-confined shelves. Even the can dispenser is ill-designed in that cans that are even slightly longer than normal won't fit -- e.g. Coors Light beer cans are about 3/8" longer than normal and don't fit. Absolutely terrible waste of otherwise usable space. Why I didn't rate this refrigerator 1-star: (1) The refrigerator does a good job keeping 20 dozen cartons of farm eggs very cold. (2) Got a great deal on what I thought was a perfect refrigerator, thus making it a fairly good deal on less than a perfect refrigerator.

A refrigerator's job is to keep things cold enough so they don't spoil. This GE model does not do this even at its "coldest" setting with nothing else inside. It cannot make ice in it's tiny ice tray in its tiny freezer compartment. DO NOT BUY.
