We've had this new LG refrigerator for two weeks now, and we couldn't be more pleased with the quality and functionality of this smart ThinQ refrigerator. First of all, the delivery and installation team were flawless, so no complaints there. So far, the new unit has done everything as advertised, including the functionality of both ice makers (cube and craft ice). The refrigerator itself is very quiet, and we noticed that our electricity bill has gone down a lot for these two weeks already since it's replacing a 14-year-old refrigerator. The internal temperature never seems to vary from the 37 degrees/0 degrees default temperature setting. The folding shelf on the top right side is very handy and allows us to store tall wine bottles, cartons, and containers that don't fit in the inner door shelves either. And the Full Convert Drawer is so spacious and extremely versatile for chilling and cooling different types of foods and liquids. All in all, an extremely satisfying purchase and a very wise investment!

THE BEST All Around Refrigerator!

This refrigerator is fantastic! We couldn't be more pleased with this large sized fridge as it has a 30 cubic ft capacity with other great features like the Craft Ice Maker, which makes large round golf ball sized ice cubes inside the freezer in addition to regular ice cubes that dispense from the outside of the freezer door. It has a see through door that allows you to see what's inside without opening the door, by taping on it twice. It has several different water levels to choose from, that fill your glass or container with a premeased oz size of water, that you select for either a 4oz, 8oz, 16oz or 32oz size. Another option is the Full Convert Draw, which can be used as a deli drawer or changed to an extra freezer draw. This is such a well designed refrigerator that I can't even imagine how it could be improved upon with all the features it has. We are so pleased with it that I can't rave about it any further! This is THE best refrigerator we have ever owned by far!

Excellent features

This LG model appears to be very sufficient. The cooling system works very well, is very, uh, efficient as far as output when you need when you need it for, umm, it has very high capacity for storing lots of food. At first we thought it was going to be too big, but every time we put food in there, we're amazed at how much we can still put it. The noise level is very adequate or better than average and that's pretty much it.

We’ve had this fridge a few years now and it’s been a solid workhorse for us. It looks nice. We enjoy the water and ice dispenser on the door as well as the gourmet ice machine in the freezer section. The only complaint we have is that it will stop making the gourmet ice after a few weeks and then we have to reset the ice maker. It takes at least 48 hours before ice starts being made again. The app feature is pretty cool as that is how we figured out how to get the ice going again.

Large Full-Size Refrigerator with Great Features

We have had our new refrigerator for almost a month now. It is very large, and the layout is terrific. Controls are easy to use, and the LG ThinQ App is very convenient. Craft Ice in second ice maker is a nice addition. Full Convert Drawer allows the utmost in flexibility. Very happy with our purchase.

Very pleased with all the space in the refrigerator and freezer areas. The refrigerator has plenty of compartments and shelving to keep everything organized. The freezer is great for large items, too. We have had side by sides and other freezers at the bottom but this model with the middle drawer is by far the best refrigerator we have had for space and organizing. Love the size of the ice cubes.

I have the refrigerator for a couple of weeks now. I love the unit but have a few dislikes. My craft ice does not form fully; I am missing a portion of the sphere ice. I wish the control panel were backlit entirely. With the lighting in my kitchen, I can't read all the options.

I bought this fridge a month ago had I installed 2 weeks ago by Costco.This fridge is nice loads of space have no problem seeing everything in the fridge the top drawer can be set to any temperature the only problem is the spacers in the drawer cannot be locked in place the water and ice in the door works perfectly we love it

Everything I hoped for…except for craft ice

I bought this a month ago and I am very happy overall. The refrigerator is spacious and well organized. The lighting is superb. I was most excited about the craft ice and that is the one place this has fallen short. The ice sphere production, on the 3 ball setting, is not a full sphere. Instead it looks like the Death Star from Starwars with a dimple at the fill top. It’s a small complaint, but the promise here was just not fully met.

I purchased the LG 30 cf ref 3 weeks ago. 2weeks ago I purchased LG Instaview Electric Stove. I was afraid I would not understand how to use them with all the internet junk they have on them. I was terrified to use them but I tried and succeeded. I love my both my LG purchases. Internet dummy finally gets her groove on and is hip. My last LG Ref that I just replaced I had for 19 years.

I love this fridge so far. The reason I rated only 4 stars is it came with a small dent and some scratches. But I love the craft ice. I love the French doors and the extra drawer. My daughter says it's her drawer and thinks it is really special. I read a lot of reviews before purchasing and so far the ice works great. I live in Florida so we use a lot of ice and we have plenty once it was got up and running. It has plenty of room for everything. I would definitely recommend this fridge.

Unbelievable capacity for a 36" fridge!

I recently downsized from a large home to a modestly sized townhouse with a much smaller kitchen. Strapped for space, I did some online research, ultimately deciding to replace the existing 20 cu.ft. 36" refrigerator with LG's impressive 30 cu.ft LRMXS3006S, and I couldn't be happier! It's a full 50% larger than my original fridge, and yet - impossibly - it's only 3" deeper, so it doesn't dominate my small kitchen. Everything fits beautifully in this marvel of modern engineering, and the contents are accessible and easy to find. My new LG has so much room to spare; even my turkey roaster or an extra large tray of lasagna are accommodated with the greatest of ease! The Full Convert drawer is very handy, easily changing from a wine cooler to an auxiliary freezer, meat locker or deli case. I never knew I needed Craft Ice until I tried it, and now, I can't think of a cold beverage without it. It's a real conversation starter, too! You really need to see this fridge to believe it, and I'm sure you'll be as impressed and pleased as I am.

It is taking me a while to get used to how quiet it is. I love the drawer that can be part of the refrigerator or part of the freezer. I always need more room in the freezer. It very attractive. I'm getting lots of ice. I like crushed ice and it's great. It is fast and perfect. No leaks. I'm very happy with this refrigerator. I have an LG dishwasher. I've had it for a long time and it is still working perfectly. When it is time to get a new one; I'll buy another LG.

Love the middle 'sandwich' drawer and ice maker

I bought this huge fridge especially for it's middle, medium temp drawer. I keep my cheeses and sandwich meat here. It keeps them well organized, the correct temperature and we don't keep opening the big doors. The other thing that all these refrigerators have had to endure is a bad rap for their ice-makers. I have found that if you use them consistently then the freeze-thaw cycle, that usually plugs them up, will not melt the ice into a clog. I love the ease with which I can open the ice-maker and unclog it or empty it. The fridge compressor went out after only 4 years of use but the company sent a repairman and it was replaced for free. Apparently they had a bad batch of compressors and they made good on their warranty. Just be aware of the issue before the warranty times out.

Second purchase

Bought one in 2017 and Loved it so much we bought it again in our new house in 2023. Looking forward to craft ice but that new feature is kind of a dud as it only produces ice when the quick mode is on and that mode seems to kick off after a batch. And even in fast mode, you only get 1 round (5 cubes) a day. Had the door in the door before and loved it. But gave up that feature to have more door storage space. Hubby loves the deep veggie bins. It would be darn near perfect if the freezer had pull out drawers instead of the bins. It is hard to find things in the freezer.

Some Disappointment

The nugget ice cubes are ridiculous. Ice melts quickly. The craft ice cubes are a gimmick. You get 3 or 6 a day. The 6 makes cloudy ice cubes, which are fine. My wife and Ali drink water with ice all day. Since the nuggets are useless we use the craft ice. What you are thinking is correct. The ice maker cannot keep up with our use.

Great refrigerator but not Craft Ice maker

We love this refrigerator this biggest issue is the craft ice maker. It worked great for about 4 months and then the problems started. We purchased a extended warranty and they can't seem to find parts to fix our craft ice maker so no we have only the regular ice maker working. This is a lot of money for a refrigerator and not have the craft ice working.

Door alarm and feature disablement

The refrigerator itself cools fine, but the door alarm design is awful. There is no clear way to disable the alarm, and LG support/documentation offers little help. The nonstop beeping becomes infuriating if the door is open for cooking, cleaning, groceries, or meal prep. A simple mute option should have been standard.

Please do not ever buy this product if you have kids or want to use magnets on the front. This refrigerator dents and scratches with any touch, it’s horrible!!!! My refrigerator looks ridiculous. As for actual function, both the refrigerator and freezer are small with all of the compartments so it’s not very functional at all.

Love the fridge, love the drawer, love the craft ice. Drawer is a game changer. However drawer rollers are VERY loud. Upper ice capacity is low. The outside surface quality is awful! So many dents within the first year. Never had one a dent in our previous 10 yr old fridge.

Bad Craft Ice maker

On the 4th craft ice maker for this unit in just 17 months. Replaced it myself three times and had a tech once. One of the main features why we bought it. This time LG knew it was bad componet before I even contacted them. Glad it is connected to the wifi for diagnostics. But, think it is time to replace the craft ice maker with a better unit!!

Worst Refrigerator Ever

This LG fridge has been the most regrettable purchase of my life so far. It has constant issues which frequently require me to take off work so that an LG tech can come to my house to attempt to fix it. I wish they would haul this thing away and give me a new one. It is a total lemon. Do not buy LG fridges.

Repairs are no fun

Was happy when it worked however I have had nothing but issues. Ive had many issues like others have reported. Repair after repair, 3x already in less than 3 years/ twice this year alone. I cannot recommend this fridge due to compressor issues and repair times.

I'm extremely unhappy with the cooling performance of this unit. The setting on the temperature is 33. The refrigerator never gets below 39.1 degrees. They have replaced the board and told us that the best this unit will do.

Nice looking but poorly designed in some areas. Regular ice maker is very noisy. You can here like a gear noise along with a thunk! No, not when the ice falls but as it cycles! The water and ice dispenser is poor placed and unless you have a large mouth glass, the ice and or water misses and makes a mess! Who designed this thing! I was told by tech that the Craft ice maker is only reliable when making 3 cubes and not 6! Wow! You advertise 6 ice cubes now I'm being told it doesn't work and breaks often as mine did!

Big headache

I've had 6 visits from a PC Richard technician and the refrigerator still is not working properly. Wouldn't make ice and now doesn't dispense water. Parts on order again. Number 7 visit is scheduled for next Tuesday. It would have been cheaper to just replace the unit.

Ice Making is very poor and service is worse

after a few months, the main ice maker gets stopped up and you have to remove the bin to push the ice down. The craft ice maker is very cool but, only makes 3 balls in 24 hours then it stopped working two months ago. I've opened 4 support cases and LG keeps closing the case each time. The support is bad!

DON'T BUY

Our 9 month old unit has had the ice maker and fans replaced. And now requires a manual defrost (16 hours lost in usage) with no compensation for the hundreds of dollars worth of spoiled food. Save yourself the aggravation!

Love the size but the quality is terrible

We bought this refrigerator over a year ago and have had more than 6 repair visits. First the compressor stops working, we lost most of the food and it took nearly 3 months to replace. Then the lower freezer tracks had an issue an our food thawed. It took 2 visits to repair. Then the lower ice maker stops working and now both ice makers are not working after multiple service calls. Poor quality

Find another brand! Ice makers are trouble!

I’ve had mine for a year and a half and will be calling for service on the ice makers for the third time. It’s ridiculous. The craft one works for 3 months and then starts pouring water in the tray and the top ice maker leaks water inside the fridge. I so regret this purchase.
