Well-Constructed Machine
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
We have been using this chest freezer for 9 years had had absolutely no issues. It is an extremely well-made product. If it ever stops running, I personally will be devastated. Thank you for building such an exceptional chest freezer, most do not run so smoothly after the number of cross-country moves this one has lasted through with my family.

Love this frig!!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
A lot of storage for a 19.2cc. ft. Really like the large top freezer, plenty of space for frozen items. Also plenty of shelf storage in the door, even for 2 litre or gallon containers. Very satisfid with purchas.

Serves its purpose. No frills refrigerator. The only concern I have is that it is noisy.

Quiet
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
My 5th GE refrigerator; i was a GE employee from 1959 to 1965 and my father was a GE employee from 1945 until he retired in 1965. I replaced a 15 year old GE refrigerator that required ONLY one service call (failed circulation fan motor). Overall so far performance has been good and I'd very quiet. However a really miss the light in the freezer section and I really prefer the removable shelf design of prior years (materials of construction, design locking removable refrigerator and freezer shelves into plac. into place i

Good Basic Refrigerator!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
We just wanted a basic fridge. That is what we have with this one. Very functional and looks nice. Motor runs a little loud, but unreasonable.
Sdersh · Apr 24, 2022
Good for the price
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
Good for the price and the freezer section is larger than I thought but the refrigerator interior could be colder. I have to leave it on the max 5 setting to keep everything cold and not spoiled.

It's a refrigerator/freezer
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
I needed a refrigerator/freezer in a hurry, and the unit I wanted was not available anywhere. Very few units were available due to supply-chain issues, and this one was the only suitable product I could find.

Exactly as expected
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Works well and as expected. Doesn’t seem to have leveler pegs up front. This unit is in our garage, so slopes forward. Have to prop up with tiles to keep from sliding forward.

Good size
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
Temperature and quiet operation seem to work well. It is a good size for the two of us. Base model with wire shelves, but lacks an extra small drawer for small items. Looks nice in black.
Bookteach · Apr 24, 2021
nice
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
it is quieter than our old fridge and doesn't make loud popping sounds when defrosting. The only bad feature it has is it could use a power cord that is about a foot longer

Nice!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
Very nice refrigerator! Upon delivery it was found to have a dented upper door and some bowing! Taken back and within a week another was delivered! Replacement was Handled quite nicely! Appearance is attractive, runs quietly and an added ice maker works well! Spacious interior. My only con is the wire shelves which should be changed to glass shelves for the price. Otherwise it is great!

Great Refrigerator!
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
This is all you need if you are not into whistles & bells! Basic design allows for plenty of freezer space. The fridge area is ample for a two person household with a weekly grocery haul. I like the simplicity of the design overall.

BIG
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
BIG and beautiful in white. Simple look. Has wheels for easy moving when cleaning. so much freezer space. All my frozen meats fit in the freezer. So much room the in fridge as well. Can fit a chopped up watermelon, Two jugs of water. a jug of orange juice, milk, and more room on the side for more water bottle sized drinks. Or you can put your condiments on the side as well. Very happy with the product. Just make sure it will fit in the hole in the wall you're putting in. The outside is pretty wide and deep.
Ivan37 · Jul 1, 2020
Noisy
AJ Madison · 4 out of 5 stars
The only negative is that it is noisy. The drawer in the middle can be moved to either side or kept in the middle. The only draw back is that it’s not very deep. On my old refrigerator I used to keep my lunch meats in there I can’t do that because it’s not deep enough.
Bennieaw · Jun 30, 2020
Spacious
AJ Madison · 5 out of 5 stars
I like that it has two oversized shelves in the door. Shelves being adjustable is so nice.

Customer photo 1This fridge works okay but has a poor design
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
The vents in the freezer are placed so that food storage blocks them! Half of my freezer remains unused to keep the vents free. I’m only 4’11” but have to bend at the waist to take things out of the fridge. To reach things in the back I must get into a full yogic squat or even kneel on the floor. The freezer’s door handle protrudes just right to hit you on the top of the head when you’re finished using the fridge. I’ve nearly knocked myself out twice in the two months I’ve had it. If I’d seen this fridge in person, I never would have ordered it.

The refrigerator does not cool to my satisfaction. Currently the temp in the fridge is 37-41 degrees.

OK refrigerator
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
the door shelves are nice and hold a variety of items. the wire shelves are better than i thought they would be, as i haven't had any issues with water bottles falling over as mentioned in other reviews. freezer and fridge seem to keep the correct temp. the only issue is the noisy air tower in the freezer section. the vibration is very loud around 5 pm every day. this seems to be a common enough issue that GE put a piece of foam between the air tower and the freezer rack to try to quiet the issue. i guess the pressure from the rack is suppose to hold the air tower in place. i think a couple of screws would have worked better. overall it works good just a little too much noise.
mikeinmass · Jul 30, 2021
disappointed so far in refrigerator
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
had the refrigerator less than 2 weeks and already having issues--it is not keeping the temperature correctly--won't know until next week what the issue is--but somehow an applicance should not break down after a week

GE Refrig.
AJ Madison · 3 out of 5 stars
It is average. The design of the shelving is not ideal by far. Not much flexibility. The front of the shelves are too far back, even though there are about 4" of dead space between the front of the shelves and door's plastic bins.... wasted space that could be used for more shelving. Bending over to reach the front of the shelf is back-breaking needlessly, as our head hits the freezer door. I can't find where there are optional shelf designs to purchase. It would be nice if one shelf was split in the middle, thus allowing half of it to be one height and the other half to be a different height.
DennisKr · Jun 23, 2020
its ok
AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
Small, the refrigerator doesn't cool i was told by apartment manager that it was because i had items on tge very top shelf. Wire shelves doesn't feel very sturdy
DLig87 · Jul 21, 2023
inferior use of space
AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
this refrigerator does not use it's space well at all. The spacing is off on most of the shelves and on the side door for normal groceries. The shelves in the box are not far enough apart to accommodate a normal Costco gallon of lemonade, unless you only have one shelf in the body. The shelf above has to be off its track so not stable. The lower shelf on the door is not usable for a 16 oz bottle.

Loud and Runs a Long Time
AJ Madison · 2 out of 5 stars
Maybe I was expecting too much but my other GE fridge is wonderful however this one is loud, runs very long on "recommended setting" and has ice forming on the freezer door.
