We purchased this 32" wide GE refrigerator in white. Had to wait a month for it to come. They were in stock in stainless which seems to be the norm theae days. And anything smaller than a 36" wide refrigerator is REALLY hard to come by. But we moved into a downsized senior retirement community home and the space in the kitchen just wouldn't fit a 36" fridge, plus the stove, microwave, and dishwasher were all white so felt we should purchase white again. That being said, I am VERY happy with this GE fridge. Because it's regular depth, not counter depth, it fits a surprising amount of food. Everything that came out of the old refrigerator, PLUS what we had in an (even older fridge in the garage fit in this one. From what I can tell, the 3" width reduction is taken entirely from the freezer side but the refrigerator side stays the same size. I WILL probably have to be careful not to over buy on freezer items. The set up forchangeable positions on shelves is excellent. I did notice with the freezer full and light off at night in the kitchen that the light at the top of the freezer does not allow you to see what's at the bottom of the freezer. No problem...just turn a kitchen light on. The outside of the refrigerator is a glossy white that looks like it will not scratch like stainless and other finishes. The area for getting water and ice runs smoothly and is easy to understand. Overall, I am extremely happy with this refrigerator and would not hesitate to buy it again.

Our last refrigerator had 3 drawers -- this one only has 2. We definitely miss the third drawer. We are not fond of the way the shelves attach to the inside of the refrigerator door. It would be useful if the crushed ice was actually crushed. Seems like our old refrigerator's crushed ice was actually crushed....

I'm really enjoying this fridge. The price point was good, and has the features I was looking for. Although lost some freezer space with 33" , it is still functional and enough space for me. Some people reviewed about ice machine being loud, but to me it's a normal sound that you'd expect when a machine makes and crushes and drops the ice. Went with GE because I wanted an old school brand

Installed yesterday - so far no problems LOL Like the way it looks - Has more space than our older refrigerator as it is taller. Only objection is some of the shelves in the refrigerator door are pretty skimpy ( narrow ) same for the freezer section - the old one GE lasted 17 years with a few repairs - the shelves were wider

We have only had the unit for several weeks at this point. Love the multiple LED lamps inside the fridge. Unit is very quiet, and does what it is supposed to do, keep stuff cold and frozen. Unlimited shelf height adjustment. Good fit and finish. Only hope it will be long lasting.

New Fridge Works & Rolls OK & Displays Temps

Have only had for 8 hours, but so far so good! A new feature for me is the temperature display, but I had to go online to learn how to use it. Temperature is not displayed unless you press (once) an up or down arrow. I miss the "deli drawer" from my old refrigerator, but the new one has cooled rapidly, started making ice almost instantly, and rolls easily so I can occasionally clean behind and underneath.

We were lucky to find a full-feature fridge that would fit our tiny kitchen. Also lucky that it came in a white finish (not black or steel), so that it makes the kitchen feel bigger. Thanks, GE! We replaced a 30-year-old fridge that was noisy, froze unevenly, and the water dispenser had stopped working. The new one is quiet, seems to maintain the temps it's set at, produces tasty water easily, and has adjustable shelves--so we have high hopes for a long relationship with this fridge! (We also have to thank our great salesman at Abt Appliances, and the stalwart installation crew who wrangled the old fridge out & the new fridge in)

Overall I'm very pleased with my GE side by side refrigerator/freezer. After a couple of days it became clear it would be much better if there were another shelf in the freezer. I found the PNs for the shelf and cover, ordered them, and when I received them installed them in the freezer. Now I can more easily store foods in the freezer. I would recommend this model to anyone with the suggestion they may want an additional shelf for the freezer.

Just got our new GE side by side refrigerator, and we love it! GE is one of the few companies left making the fridge our size to fit a very specific kitchen setup. Upgrading to the water and ice in the door was a must for us, our old fridge was just so old and out of date. Thankfully we were able to find this fridge with the same footprint and not lose any of the space inside and it's actually bigger too! Having the temperature controls on the door is a great feature too!

This model is very loud. We thought it was because it was out of balance. The tech returned and balanced it; however the level of sound is still high. If you have a small kitchen you will probably notice the sound. Our house was built in 70s so the space for the fridge is small, but the fridge is roomy.

This purchase was for our second home and while we are not there extended periods, I have been very pleased with this purchase so far. More room than I initially anticipated. I had a limited space so I had to do measurements to determine what I would purchase without making cabinet adjustments.

Needed 33" side-by-side in white. Had to order since supplier had none in stock. Had all the options and features we wanted. Only negative is doors won't stay open unless you hold the doors in position. Not that they close all the way if released. Not sure why they were designed this way.

I like all the bells and whistles, and it's easy to fine tune your temperature adjustments but although this unit is a couple of cubic feet bigger than my last one, it must be the gain in the fridge as the freezer is a little smaller.

This model replaced a very similar model from about 40 years ago. There were several issues, starting with the fact that the delivered model was not what was ordered. We ordered a model with an under-shelf drawer and we received one that did not and could not have that. GE did supply an additional shelf to compensate, but although I don't know whether it was GE or the dealer who was responsible, we should have been told the model we ordered was not available and given the opportunity to order something else. As to this model, it would benefit from having an extra shelf in the freezer, without having to purchase it separately. It would also be better if the lowest shelf position in the fridge was a bit lower. There doesn't seem to be any reason why that could not be done. The control panel is able to show the temperature, but only in Fahrenheit, which seems unnecessarily parochial. Also having to turn on the door alarm seems backwards. It seems logical that it would be on by default with an option to turn it off, if you really don't want to be notified that a door is not properly closed. Overall, it seems like it was put together without too much concern with design. Still, if it also lasts 40 years, it will be satisfactory.

Love the look of the refrigerator section, very roomy and can adjust shelves. Made ice within a day. however mine is EXTREMELY loud while running, so loud I can hear it in other rooms. I'm not sure if something came loose during transit or if this is how is sounds but its driving me crazy. I can even hear it over the tv located in another room. ive tried to pinpoint where its coming from but cant. When it stops running its perfect but when it starts back up i want to pull my hair out. Is this just my fridge?

Great Fridge Except for Ice Maker/Dispenser

We like everything about the refrigerator except: - Not enough shelves included, especially for the freezer - The icemaker is HORRIBLE: It is really, really noisy. I understand that some noise is to be expected, but have had other refrigerators with icemakers and they are not all this noisy. It does not stop making ice when the bin is full, consequently ice cubes fall out of the bin and down onto the wire freezer shelves, making a racket every time. The ice bin is incredibly difficult to take out and put back in; and you have to remove it in order to turn the icemaker off. The icemaker is a huge negative, and we would have purchased a different refrigerator had we known. - The in-door ice and water dispenser is also HORRIBLE. It is nearly impossible to dispense ice or water without spilling it; the ice goes flying, keeps coming after you have shut off the the paddle switch, and to shut off the paddle switch you have to take the glass or whatever away from the dispenser, and this leads to: Spilling. Every. Time. Hugely annoying, needs constant cleanup of spilled water and ice. If a pushbutton switch was used instead of using a paddle switch, the dispenser would be no problem.

1. The information panel is great. I love being able to set the temperature easily. 2. I wish there was a 3rd drawer. There's a drawer for fruit and vegetables, but none for meats/cheese. I would also like another shelf in the freezer. 3. This was the biggest refrigerator that would fit in our opening, so we had few choices.

Needed 33” wide unit with adjustable shelves this was the only unit we found with these features, first glance unit seems to have good space, do not like the location of the drawers the temperature control drawer would have been better to be the lowest drawer. The fit and finish seems to be high quality.

Doesn’t have under shelf drawer for eggs, lunch meat, cheese. Freezer is very small and is missing a shelf over the basket drawer. Too tall, my other refrigerator fit 67 1/2 “. This one is 69”. Not very happy.

Terrible quality--cheapest thin plastic handles that break . ice maker failed--this after only two years--don't buy--you can do better. GE is no longer a quality brand. Fridge used by an old lady and still it broke with barely any use. GE warranty poor reflecting their own lack of confidence in the quality of their product. Advice: Spend $10 more on production cost and you'd gain $1000 of loyalty. Avoid.
